"The lack of great seafood restaurants along the Monmouth County coast is almost as disappointing as missing that once-a-season whale sighting because you ran off the beach to refill the cooler. Thankfully, Spring Lake Seafood bucked that trend a few years back when this BYOB option opened its doors. The ahi tuna with house-made lo mein noodles, a crisp arugula topped fluke milanese, and their whole fried fish are among the menu highlights. Perhaps the biggest surprise you’ll find at Spring Lake Seafood is their thoughtfully curated, high-quality sushi menu—you won’t find any of the overly saucy sushi rolls that have taken over every convenience store and local tavern these days. We recommend the bluefin tuna flight and ora king salmon options for the table." - michael sinatra

"Spring Lake Seafood serves sushi, Peruvian ceviche, and fluke Milanese. The market side offers fresh local fish and catering options, including a full raw-bar platter with optional caviar." - Marion Brewer

"The lack of great seafood restaurants along the Monmouth County coast is almost as disappointing as missing that once-a-season whale sighting because you ran off the beach to refill the cooler. Thankfully, Spring Lake Seafood recently opened, making it one of the best new restaurants in the area offering fresh, locally-caught sustainable seafood. The ahi tuna with house-made lo mein noodles, a crisp arugula topped fluke milanese, and an octopus served with lemony fennel and potatoes highlight a widespread menu of fish-focused options. The restaurant is a BYO and also operates as a fish market and coffee shop by day. So it’s possible to find yourself here three times in one day: grab a coffee, come back for some fish to toss on the grill for lunch, and round things out by coming back for dinner with friends. wonderful place, simple yet stylish and modern with an ocean vibe. I absolutely loved everything. The wedge salad, the clam chowder and sangria were absolutely delicious and just fresh and creatively served. It was worth it. The service is nice and very quick. The kitchen did a nice job for sure. Loved it.

First time at Spring Lake Seafood and we will be back often. There we 10 items in menu I would order. The Tuna flight was exceptional. Really special tuna. Keep growing and expanding. The sky is the limit! 👍

$32 for fish and chips??? Very little fish with an enormous amount of fries (chips) enough for 4 people. Outrageous to charge this much for so little fish. Very disappointing dinner at the shore. Order something else should you go there. I'm not going back.

Great lunch, lovely place on Main Street ! Nice decor, fresh and light! No wine by the glass which was disappointing, you need to buy the bottle! Delish crab cake, oysters, lobster roll, shrimp tacos and mussels. They ran out of haddock or would have had that instead of mussels. All of the food was very fresh and enjoyed the sangria as well! Will definitely be back !

My husband and I loved the atmosphere. Service was great, food was severely lacking. We ordered the tile fish special which needed tons of salt and the green beans tasted like a grill fire. We also got the linguine and clams. The pasta was so overcooked it was mushy and there were so many shell remnants in the clam sauce. This was my third time there and my first two times were considerably better. I hope it was just an off night.

First time here and it was a lovely surprise. We happened to stop in while on a walk because it started to rain. Boyfriend loved the oysters, said some of the best he's ever had. We also had the edamame and Bibb Salad, both very good. Our favorite was the Rose' Sangria, so delicious! We also had a nice treat when the owner came over to give us a taste of the next dessert special they will be featuring, it was a blueberry pie with such a delectable creamy sweet layer and perfect crust. Service was great and you can feel the passion from management. Perfect surprise Date Day!

Always a phenomenal experience at SLS. With an immense attention to detail and quality, every dish is an absolute delight! The focus on ingredients and sourcing is evident in every menu item. Whenever I’m told we’re coming for dinner, I squeal with excitement! Words aren’t enough to articulate how special this place is — and the octopus is especially impressive! If you’re considering dining here, this is your sign to come!!

Very nice menu with Seafood Tacos recommended (and great Key Lime Pie). The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a nice environment in a very good location on the main drag (indoor and outdoor seating). They were about to start with Sushi options which sound great. Highly recommend.
