This place has some of the most amazing food. Our server Cindy was the best. Great attitude and really informed about the menu. I tried the BBQ brisket, fries and a salad. Friend has the fillet monyin sandwich, fries and salad. Very delicious! I recommend you visit them.

My friend and I always go to this place to watch the games and we always have a great experience. The service is extremely good. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for watching the sport games or having a great time. Absolutely 5 Star.

I've been coming here on and off for 20 years. I love the lamb chops. Big dining area inside and outside, big tv with sports on. The food is delicious, the Lamb chops are to die for, but beware there's a very locals only vibe, with a lot of "tough guys" around so the lamb chops are not the only thing to die for. Watch for the evil eye and a wayward drunk barging in on your dart game. Put your name on the chalkboard for a danger filled game of pool. DON'T try to order a drink at the bar by saying, "Excuse me" to any person sitting at the bar, chances are they will take it the wrong way, it's like getting past a guard posted at Guantanamo Bay. The staff is pretty cool. When it's busy, I've noticed they get a bit short fused. Overall, the staff is fairly nice, but don't cross them in any way. There are so many bad apples that I think they assume everyone is going to be a problem. I mean, it's such a nice place, and with some positive attitude adjustments by a vast majority of the local bar patrons, I'd give this place a far better score for atmosphere. That's not to say I haven't met some nice and honest people there as well, just few and far between. Again, great food, tho at a high risk.

They have a beautiful bar made with rustic wood. The waitresses were top notch. The food was good and if ever I’ve seen a place for drinking and fun, this is it. There are also TVS for sports. Springbok is a good time waiting to happen, all they need is you and your friends.

Cindy is an awesome bartender! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knows her stuff. She made us feel right at home and took great care of everyone at the bar. The drinks were spot-on, and she had some great recommendations too. You can tell she enjoys what she does, and it makes the whole experience that much better. If you're lucky enough to have Cindy behind the bar, you're in good hands!

No parking! Food is great, service is great. Drinks are served in plastic cups and when you get a refill they bring a new cup. Super loud! Unnecessarily loud customers and the TV. Even for a bar. Live stand up is a big plus.

Great place good food , nice staff. They had karaoke Sunday night it was a lot of fun and people are talented . Edited review . This place is more than just a bar/ restaurant. The staff is absolutely amazing and the people that come and enjoy the karaoke are amazing as well . I've been coming here now for a little over a year every Sunday 8pm ish to 1230 pm religiously for karaoke night and they have become like family . I'm sober too , I don't drink and have the time of my life here . You really should stop by

The atmosphere, the food (and somewhat unique menu for a bar &grill) the clientele, the bar, and mostly the AMAZING SERVICE all are wonderful. We have been there twice now and have been fortunate enough to have had Brandon as our server both times. My husband is wheelchair bound, and our service dog Ace, a long haired German Shepherd, is also alpart of our party. Both times we've visited, Brandon has seated us all and made very sure we had enough space for us all to be comfortable. As only a great server does, Brandon even remembered our cocktail choices from the prior visit a few weeks earlier! All in all, Springbok is an excellent choice if you're looking for a casual and tasty atmosphere. It's a perfect example of a spacious and traditional looking sports bar and grill with amazing food and great service! I suggest to anyone reading this to be sure to get there soon!

Just a nice relaxing place to enjoy some good food and some drinks, catch up with some friends and maybe watch a game. The service is always great and the food never fails. The wings with Peri Peri and blue cheese and the chicken Philly are a favorite!

Stopped in for a quick pit stop with a friend. Bartender was warm and friendly. Great on tap beer selection. Menu looks amazing. Looking forward to going back and checking out the food.

First time trying this place out. Driving by it looked a lil dingy so I had never stopped in, but I was searching for a good fish n chips in the area and this place popped up. I walked in and the guy server didn't say hi, no welcome walked passed me several times so I asked the lady and she said sit anywhere I'd like. She was attentive and quick. The food was surprisingly really good, the fish was fresh and the breading was perfect. It was lightly breaded and not a heavy dish. The place has plenty of tvs and is a pretty cool spot. They should freshen up the outside off victory so people notice the place it's worth the spot the food was on point.

We love this place! Great spot for an early lunch. The Chicken Peri Peri was so good! So many flavors that melted together. The samosas were amazing and the salad that served alongside it was delicious as well. Mustard based dressing I believe. So damn good. And my go to, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was as I expected. Soft hoagie roll, seasoned steak, melty cheese. Yum! My only complaint was that they didn't have the drinks we asked for (Newcastle and Moscow Mule) besides that, service was great our server was nice and kind. Great place for sports games as well.

Great wings, the beer is delicious, and there is always a great bartender at the bar! Love the pool table and the outdoor patio super chill vibes!

Pretty good local bar and restaurant serving South African food. Good beer good prices. The food is pretty good too. Wings are tasty the peri peri chicken is really flavorful and a little spicy. Fish and chips are tasty too. Service is friendly and good.

It is like a dive bar tho, you could feel like you re in Texas or Austin. there is a dinning room, pool table, even DJs for a dance floor for locals. It is very strange middle of Van Nuys and so many Latinos dudes or beautiful Latino girls ready to mingle. Go for it if you re around. There is regulars and they are nice peeps. You gonna get the Texans vibe for sure. It is kind weird place tho. Maybe Mex-Tex-Cali type.

I've been meaning to try this place for years... Enjoyed a chill evening watching Dolphins vs Chiefs. Mostly an older crowd, the vibe was friendly and laid-back. Small parking lot w/ street parking. Though not in the nearby neighborhood. Check those no parking signs. The menu had a lot options--OJ, all-day breakfast, wings, fries, grilled chicken, and a burger patty for $55 (cash gets a 4% discount). Food was fine, especially the all-day breakfast, and service was quick. The place got crowded. It's a legit spot for watching games, comfortable, with a pool table and big screens. Definitely planning a return visit!

Driven past this spot for years. So I decided to take the plunge, so to speak and have a go at it. I tried their fish and chips, and they were amazing. The portions were awesome and well priced. The service was fast and friendly. It was pretty busy, but my food was out pretty quick. The peri peri sauce was a new find for me and I'll get that in the future. Their menu is wide ranging, and the beer and drink menu looks quite extensive as well. Also, the bar itself is pretty cool, and lots of rugby memorabilia there too. Pretty cool crowd. Thanks Springbok! I will be back.

Came in for league on Wednesday and mark treated me so well very attentive always with good energy no matter how packed it was music is on point I'll come back to see mark again

Best fires in the balboa area such a great spots bar to come and enjoy the game. Come here for the coldest beer and the best atmosphere. Their food is great, always go for the salads and the chicken items make it spicy

Dump. Bar allows over drinking. Smells bad. Bad vibe. Sorry. Nothing personal. They allow over drinking and many friends and co-workers would agree. I don't drink so I have observed straight.

Fish and Chips were delicious! The best in the valley and Santa Clarita! Service was above and beyond by Brandon! Excellent service and great personality! The House Wine, So African Chardonnay was delightful! The ambiance was cozy and friendly! Will definitely be back again!

This place is crazy to me, we use to be there a couple times a week. I was even lucky enough to host my bday party there a couple years ago. So many changes with the staff, food is always good. But definitely not the same incredible staff that it use to be.

My husband and I love coming here whether it's to watch fights and enjoy watching it while having a couple drinks + food to date night just us or with the whole fam 3 kids included we love coming here. The food is great we love the buffalo chicken wings basket of fries and the Philly cheese steak! Also their rack Of ribs plate is honestly delicious ! Their drinks are good to we always get margaritas and they are not stingy with the alcohol. Service is amazing the waitresses are so nice never once had a bad experience here. I also love u can bring your kids and have adult Time at the same time.

I love this place! It's been a staple of mine for many years. It's very friendly with a unique blend of dishes on their menu. Karaoke on Thursday and Sunday nights and a great crowd. Check out their secret bar menu...you want something special...ask for their Placenta Martini!

Love going here to simply have a drink or enjoy a night out. The happy hour is good. Love ordering the tacos. They have a pool table and dartboards. Also a good place to watch your game at. They also have an outdoor patio. Bartenders are chill.

Such a great place. Great vibe, Great space and great food. Service was a bit slow, but I won't knock the Bock over one slow waiter. SEATING: We came here on a Saturday afternoon, no wait for a table. They have a large seating area with 4 TVs to watch any game or fight. They stream rugby, football you name it. They have a smaller seating area with bar seating + a large outdoor patio (which BTW is dog friendly!) FOOD & DRINK: Elevated bar food with a South African flair. I LOVE that about the Bok. I have never experienced a South African sports bar. They have a few traditional African Dishes, as well as Burgers, Wings, fries, Salad. A good selection for everyone. A full bar as well. $8 for a Titos Vodka Soda & $6 for a draft beer. Burgers and fries will run you $14, $17 if you opt for the Kobe beef burger. All their food is really delicious and flavorful. ENTERTAINMENT: $1.00 in quarters to play a game of pool or partake in the 2 dart boards. When there's UFC there is normally a $10 cover and they will have it on the big screens in the bigger seating area. Tuesdays they have Bar Trivia as well. PARKING: Street parking, unmetered And a small parking lot behind with 2 handicapped spots and maybe 10 regular spots that fill up quickly during peak hours. A very underrated sports bar, that is always a pleasure visiting.

Amazing food, great beer, friendly service. This place is an absolute gem which is why I felt the need to leave a review (let's be honest, most of us only leave these when we feel particularly great or terrible about our experience somewhere). Classic sports bar atmosphere, so if you're completely turned off by that well then, you're missing out. Because the food is amazing. We had the calamari and samosas. The calamari were perfectly cooked and tender, nicely greasy how I like it :P. The samosas were some of the best I've ever had. Curried beef and potato. The outside skin was super crispy/spring roll style like a Burmese samosas (far superior to an Indian style samosa where the skin is more soft/flakey like in my opinion). Beer was crisp and fresh (Stella). I'll be coming here for all of my future NFL game watching experiences. I've never been to a sports bar in LA that had such great, unique food.

Heading home from Palm Springs. I remembered eating here once before Covid and it was outstanding. It's still outstanding. Great service, great vibe. Fish and chips as good as it gets.

The food is good but the service SUCKS, especially if you are by yourself. I was not checked on for a looong time, like 15 minutes, while a baseball team was getting two people to service. I had to go up to the bar to ask for help, and offered NO APOLOGY JUST NOT RIGHT. I spent over 40$ by myself. Won't go back ANY time soon. SOOOO SAD Also there were only 3 tables. UNEXPECTEABLE

I ordered this Delicious delicious South African platter that comes with a bit everything my favorite part was the lamb chops super tender and juicy big thanks to the manger Paul and my server christa that made it happen .

First-timer there last night! Fun pub type atmosphere. I went for the live music, which was awesome, but I'll return for the bar food and trivia night on Tuesday. Our group ate....a lot. The schnitzel was awesome as were the brisket sandwich snd philly cheesesteak and fish and chips. The meatball sandwich was a featured special and was terrific with big, tender balls. Service was friendly and helpful with all of our menu questions. Parking is tight so maybe Uber over-that way you can have an extra bevvie and eat yourself into a food coma and not have to drive!

Seriously, everything was 5 stars!!! food was mouthwatering, excellent service our waitress had great attitude and attentive and the ambiance all good energy!

We love coming here! The food is consistently good; my favorite is the bbq chicken quesadilla. The parking lot is a bit small but there's street parking available. If there's a game on, it can get busy, but wait time's never been more than 10 minutes.

This place is a valley gem. A great place to come with friends after work, whether for drinks or a meal. They have a full bar, modern juke box, billiards, darts and an outdoor area for when weather permits. There are a number of large TVs playing a variety of sporting events and it's a great place to meet friends and watch the game. My FAVORITE aspect of this place is their Trivia night- every Tuesday at 8:30pm. This Trivia is no joke and includes sports, entertainment, geography, music, history, science and more. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners get sliding scale bar tab prizes- the more teams that play, the bigger the winnings. There's something for everyone at this place.

Seriously one of the best "feels like home" spots to come and watch sports either alone or with the fam! On the bar side make sure to ask for bartender Samantha she's the cutest and the sweetest haha and tip her well! She's been the nicest bartender we've come across a total sweetheart and so beautiful too!

First time I tried this place. I was there for a group outing. The chicken wings were way better than chicken wings, that you would get at an actual chicken wing establishment! I highly recommend the garlic lemon jalapeño wings and the classic buffalo. The servers were also nice, and good vibes all around. There is parking in the back

The service itself wasn't bad, although our server kept trying to push the additional side charges for all of our food orders which was weird (i.e. if there was an option to add something for extra cost, it wasn't a "would you like to add...", it was a "do you want [side] on the side or on the bun"). The food itself was simply not good, either. I really would like to see them take the chicken schnitzel off the menu. What I ended up with was charred, over cooked chicken, bland mashed potatoes, and chilly, maybe steamed slightly, vegetables, even though the menu said grilled. We also ordered a pastrami sandwich and onion rings - the sandwich was okay, but there was no seasoning on the onion rings - and a bar burger, which wasn't bad, but it had bacon on it that was basically rubber. Won't be returning.

Best rugby bar I've been to in LA. Full pub experience, great service, ample outdoor space, awesome atmosphere, and the Springboks v Ireland match was topped off with FREE roast lamb off the spit. Can't wait to go back.

I love the vibe here! The food is amazing and they sometimes have comedy nights, games on and music blasting. I love the sampler. It has a little bit of everything. The calamari are flash fried so they are super crispy. The bangers and mash are so good too. Wings are meaty, and the Mac and cheese balls are heavenly. It even comes with plenty of fries and humongous samosas. I need to come back and taste other items, but for $27 the player is enough for even 3 people. Enough options too. It also has tenders that are massive. All the sauces are bomb. The service is great too. Everyone is very friendly and you just feel good here. Check the specials at the bar. Pool table and plenty of TV screens to enjoy the sports. They also have an outdoor seating area. The parking behind the location is usually packed so make sure you find a spot on the cross streets. Enjoy!

The food here is so much better than it has any reason to be. There is NOTHING hip about this place. But the food is TOP NOTCH. Many good beers on tap, and not just the IPA nonsense the kids today crave for some reason. The Paella is pretty spendy, but I've never regretted going for it. #worthit

Outstanding food and atmosphere here, I love coming here because they have big projectors and always have the fights on. The food here is affordable and delicious. Just an all around great restaurant.

I believe this was supposed to be south African cuisine although I'd say it's predominantly American. They did have their take on Durban curry but it's mainly burgers/sandwiches, quesadillas, potato skins, etc. Don't get me wrong, the pastrami sandwich was the best I've ever had, the veggie burger was good but the patty I believe was rice based which is a little odd to me. They were out of lamb, brisket, some sauces, and a few beers. The one and only woman working (besides the cook) at the time of my visit appeared to be the bartender, the waitress, and the manager. She was fast and friendly. You can tell this place survives on its regulars, bar patrons, and I'm sure half the reason they come is for her. I'd say this place is meant for a group gathering looking for beers and bar food. Overall, would not recommend for families with children (at least during the day) or date night.

9.75% sales tax? Unless LA City increased sales tax for Sunday football games, Springbok's Management needs to check their registers and refund their customers.

Went there last week and the Bok Buffalo Wings were amazing. Our server was very attentive as well. It was a fun atmosphere as well.
