There are five-star reviews, and then there are "My GOD I would give you six stars if I could!" reviews
Massive, massive shout-out here specifically to server Brayden W., from 12/17/2023, more on that in a moment.
The wine was excellent, the beer was amazing as always, and the pizza was the kind of pizza where every bite is exactly what you needed, everything you didn't know you wanted, and gives you flashbacks of your entire life with pizza (it was great).
For more details, see my previous review. What inspired THIS review is Brayden (that's what was on the receipt, I assume that was her name?)
My wife and I came in here with our two kids. I love our kids, they're amazing, but this was a medal-winning performance of being cranky off-the-wall little gremlins. They were a *lot,* and everyone in the restaurant handled it so, so well. They got us a really nice table in an awesome spot - but also discreetly out of the way of other patrons (which we appreciated greatly), and were models of exceptional service.
One moment stands out: my daughter yelling at the top of her lungs "DO YOU HAVE A COLORING BOOK?!" And Brayden calmly answering, so kindly, "Let me see what I can find!"
They didn't have one, it's a brewery, why would they have one? It would have been perfectly reasonable to politely just say no, even come back and politely say no.
But Brayden didn't.
She came back with some crayons she'd found somewhere, a spare server's order pad, a to-go box (BRILLIANT) and gave them to my daughter. It was such a small thing, but my daughter *loved* it, and it turned the whole kid situation from an 11 to maybe an 8 (big improvement).
But it didn't stop there.
The drawing pad was used, and then our to-go pizza box became what my daughter thought of as a Cistene chapel ceiling, which Brayden did a heroic job of complimenting every time she came by the table.
Another truly wonderful stop, I love this place. But way, way high marks for Brayden, who showed kindness, patience and creativity we couldn't possibly have expected, and will remember probably forever.
