SQZBX Brewery & Pizza

Some damn fine pizza in a cozy space. After a day of touring the Hot Springs Park area in the cold of January, we were ready for a comfortable space and good food. SQZBX delivered on all points. The cheesy garlic knots were several steps above what you'd usually expect in an appetizer. Our main pizzas were hot and fresh with excellent ingredients. We finished with home made cheesecake featuring a ginger snap crust that capped the whole experience off nicely. Service was top notch and the soundtrack they had going set a chill and comfortable vibe that we really jelled with. Absolutely worth a visit when you find yourself in Hot Springs.

Really cool old building with the original tin ceiling greets you but I could see some people having trouble getting into the narrow space. Nice options with clearly fresh ingredients besides only pizza. Our waitress, Jada, was very pleasant and the place just has a cool vibe. A little loud though if you plan on talking much.

We needed a place for dinner that was open late last week when in Hot Springs and stumbled upon Sqzbx. Our waitress was friendly and gave good pizza advice. Each one of us ordered our own personalized pizza - one margarita and one Greek. Good crust and flavor. We recommend the Greek with pepperoni. Sqzbx is a good option for a late night food and we would visit again when in Hot Springs.

Whenever I’m in Hot Springs I love to stop here! The restaurant has such a fun atmosphere and everyone who works there is so friendly. The pizza is really good and we’ve had a few of the appetizers, which we enjoyed! Perfect for a date night!

This was my favorite restaurant during my 2 night stay in Hot Springs, AR. It is a bit of a drive away from Bath House Row but it’s certainly worth the adventure. The vibe here is quiet and a music vibe. They also have in house made brews and a very nice looking bar. Their pizza came to us hot and juicy!

Visited on a post-Christmas Tuesday night, and the wait was 30-40 minutes but my wife & I were able to snag two seats at the bar immediately. Service was wonderful: very friendly and prompt. I had the flight of all six house beers (Perfecta & “Dad…I’m IPA” were my favorites), and my wife had the Perfecta Light. She ended the night with the “Sage Against the Machine,” and it was really tasty! She ordered the BBQ pizza w/ arugula on top, and the pickles really made it incredible (they were sweet, don’t knock it!)…I ordered the Wide Load, and it was also a great choice. We both got small pizzas, and the portion was perfect. Plenty of free parking on the street after 6pm. We will definitely be back!

I always love discovering places that have a unique vibe, and this spot definitely fits the bill! From the moment I walked in, I was taken by how original and creatively decorated it was. The entire atmosphere has a fun, quirky charm thanks to the items left behind at a radio station, which makes for a really interesting and nostalgic setting. It’s clear that a lot of thought and personality went into the decor. I especially loved the way they integrated musical instruments into the lighting design—using drums, pianos, and other instruments as part of the decor made the space feel alive and full of character. It’s a place that sparks the imagination and makes you want to explore all the little details. Now, let’s talk about the pizza—top notch! Crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Perfectly baked and really satisfying. That was definitely a highlight of our visit. However, I do want to mention a bit about the beer. We ordered a brew that was at the end of the barrel, and tasted a bit like soap, which can happen. The bartender was fantastic and quickly offered us a few of their specialty drinks, which were absolutely wonderful. She clearly wanted us to have a good experience, and her friendly attitude was appreciated. That said, I did notice that she continued to serve the questionable beer to other customers. I could overhear some quiet conversations between her and the manager about it, and it felt a little awkward. Hopefully, they’ll get it sorted out. They brew everything in house and these things happen with smaller breweries. I would prefer to be told they are out of a certain flavor if it isn't tasting correct. All in all, this place is definitely worth a visit for the cool decor and delicious pizza. The friendly staff made our visit pleasant, despite the beer hiccup. I’d love to go back and try more of their specialties — and maybe just avoid the barrel beer next time! It’s a place with great potential and a truly creative atmosphere that stands out.

The cheesy garlic knots are amazing and we got the BBQ pizza was so yummy! Hot totties were good too definitely 5 stars all the way around! ☺️

We stopped by as a baseball team while in town from Dallas for spring training at Majestic Park on Saturday, March 7th around 6 pm. Seating was pretty quick; however, the time it took for our orders to get to the table took a significant time. The ambiance was good and lively - busy; however, probably the most important part of the experience left me disappointed. By no means am I a pizza connoisseur like Dave Portnoy, but there was little to no crisp on my son and I's meatlovers medium pizza we ordered. The under carriage was non existent - the pizza was floppy and soggy, unfortunately. There was zero crisp on the underside of our pizza. It was drenched in oil. The hot honey sauce I got on the side to drizzle over my slices was a savior. I know this spot has very high reviews, but I left pretty unimpressed and disappointed. My experience at Grateful Head from a previous year was much better, sad to say.

Loved my food. Excellent service. Strong great tasting adult beverages. Wonderful (but busy) atmosphere.

'Doing it Right' is the best way to describe SQZBX Brewery and Pizza. We sampled a couple of their beers and hard cider and ordered three pizzas and everything was really, really good. Service was great, food was awesome and the overall atmosphere/ambiance made for a great social dining experience. I highly recommend the loaded garlic knots and the pepperoni hot honey pizza. We will certainly be eating here the next time we are in town.

Cozy place for family, friends or a date. Awesome service by Claire...enjoyed their May Day IPA and Wide Load pizza; definitely a return trip is on the horizon. Good work by all...thanks for a great meal and experience!

We liked our foodat SQZBX. We had a pepperoni pizza, the loaded garlic knots, tiramisu, and a beer flight. Everything was tasty, but I wasn't like "Oh man I wish I could eat more I just don't have room." It was not too busy when we were there. It is cool to see them preparing food in the kitchen as you walk by on the street.

Ordered take out and it was delicious. Sausage and pepperoni had great taste. Crust was cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of sauce! Would definitely eat there again.

Located south (westish) of bathhouse row, this is worth the walk (or drive). The staff are friendly and answered all of our questions, provided suggestions, etc. The vibe is slightly quirky. We arrived just at lunch on a Saturday and were seated right away and it remained quietly busy throughout. They offer a full bar of cocktails (as well as mocktails and pottails), draft beers and ciders. We had the loaded garlic knots and the hot honey pepperoni pizza. Everything was phenomenal. I could eat these every day, so good.

Love the decor of SQUZBX! The lighting is made of accordion bellows and the old building has an incredible 'old Hot Springs' vibe. Note the ceiling when you're there. The service is quick and attentive. The pizzas are handmade with the classic New York style thin yet chewy crust. We ordered well done and the char was perfect! Our kids had the sandwiches and loved them. Well worth the trip into classic downtown Hot Springs!

Glowing red sign. Embossed ceiling tiles. Music instruments lit up and displayed on the walls. It's a quirky vibe; one that speaks to me. We happily plopped ourselves down into a booth and got to ordering food. THE FOOD. - Cheesy Garlic Knots | Gooey cheese with garlic intertwined in warm, delightfully chewy bread. It comes with marinara sauce for dipping too. Great appetizer! - Wide Load Pizza | Wow... the toppings are plentiful with lots of flavors and textures all married up to form this beautiful pizza. I also appreciated how the prosciutto was not cooked with the rest of the pizza; it's the small details sometimes. THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Beer Flight of Six | The flight was pretty generous with the sizes! Favorite was Full Bloom IPA because hoppy beers are what I naturally gravitate towards. THE PARKING. We parked on the street in front of the restaurant and it was free. COMING BACK? Awesome pizza joint, I'd come back if I was in the area one day.

Walked over to this place from bathhouse row. It took about 15ish mins. This place is bigger than it looks. The staff is very friendly. The salads were fresh, the sandwich was toasted, and the pizza was huge!

We ordered for takeout and it was delicious. Crust was crispy but not overcooked and toppings were plentiful.

Ok the place is cute! The wall decor is fun. The beers were a tad expensive. The cheese pizza was not that great it was laking cheese. My chicken bacon ranch had a great amount of cheese and the crust was delightful. My husband ordered the wide load to which he enjoyed. It had a lot of different fresh toppings. Our waitress was kind and polite.

After walking around Central Ave, we were ready for dinner. I had originally wanted to visit this place on our way up to Missouri but they are closed on Wednesdays. Luckily we came back to Hot Springs on Tuesday. The restaurant is spacious. We were seated promptly and given some time to look over the menu. I started off with one of the IPAs on the menu, can't recall which one. My wife and I decided to share the Greek pizza. Pizza was brought to our table quickly. I really enjoyed the pizza, and we finished it entirely. It was that good! Next time I am in Hot Springs I would stop by.

Great service, good atmosphere, good fresh pizza. Plenty of drink options, local and domestics brews, and mixed drinks. Friendly waitstaff and environment.

Super delicious local pizza and beer. We recommend the breakfast porter beer. The wide load pizza and honey hot pepperoni pizza were delicious!

We decided to try this place for Saturday night dinner and it was about a 12 minute walk from the Embassy Suites so we left our car and walked there. The place was cute and decorated with piano pieces and accordions. The service was very friendly and fast and they were able to get our whole order without writing it down (impressive because they got everything correct!) we ordered Cheesy garlic knots for an appetizer, which were brought out fairly quickly. The knots were just the right amount of cheesy and the crunchy cheese on the plate was scrumptious. We then ordered a half cheese and half garlic, pepper, onion pizza and a veggies pizza, a Cesar salad, and a house salad. Everything was yummy. The pizza toppings were fresh and they used fresh Parmesan cheese for the added topping bottles. I enjoyed the atmosphere and their service. The place lends itself for a fun gathering or a casual date and they have an outdoor patio area in the back that we didn't get to checkout but it looked cozy and comfy. Having had pizza in several places I wouldn't call it the best but it was very very tasty. So check them out and see for yourself and maybe this will be your next fav. pizza shop.

I think the pizza choices were good with a variety of toppings. Me and my friends got the wide load and the Margherita pizza. The toppings were good and the pizza wasn't too expensive. The crust was soggy when we got it though and on one of the slices the cheese completely pulled off. Service was quick and fast though, we were seated immediately on a Friday night. The inside was a bit dark.

There were 4 of us for dinner. We arrived around 7ish and had a 30 minute wait. There were seats inside for waiting. We were seated in a both in the back in about 30 minutes. It took our waiter a few minites to arrive but she took drink orders, all waters, returned in a few minutes with those and took our pizza order. One medium ham amd pineapple, one small margarita (wrong spelling) and one jalapeño and pepperoni. I liked the ham and pina pizza, my hubby did not. Wasn't my favorite due to the crust being a bit limp but i could eat it again. Pepperoni pizza was well liked and margarita was reported as ok. We had sweet knots fir dessert. It was a large serving, enough for 4-6 folks. Some on the plate were excellent, soft and plenty of cinnamon and icing topping. Other knots were a bit over cooked so a little crunchy. I didn't like those as well but we ate them all. They have a cool outdoor courtyard in the back, check it out for the mural on the wall.

Good beer, great cider. The pizza is well baked with tons of toppings. The antipasti plate is alright. The mozzarella and tomatoes were tasty but the olives were way toooo salty. I suggest ordering caprese plate only since their mozzarella is worth trying.

I've eaten here dozens of times over they years and never gotten a bad pizza. Surprisingly this was the first time I sat in restaurant and ate a pizza and drank the home brewed beer. Got to say this is the best microbrewery we have in Hot Springs. Service was solid and the music was fantastic.

Expect to wait during busy times but worth it. Casual dining with artsy decor and great service! Broad brew menu and even some wine to choose from. Non existent on the wine glasses but it is a brewery so I had lower expectations. The pizza was fantastic! Great balance of cheese and toppings with a nice crunch to the crust, not soggy. The garlic knots with cheese was a nice appetizer and the marina sauce to dip was delicious!

After our plans to visit DeLuca's fell through, since they ran out of dough, we ended up at SQZBX Brewery, and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. We tried the "Wide Load" pizza, and it was absolutely fantastic. It easily fed our party of five, and we finished every bite! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were delicious and plentiful. We also started with an appetizer of cheesy garlic knots, which were a perfect way to kick off the meal--warm, cheesy, and full of flavor. The housemade cider and beer were fantastic and made great pairings with the pizza. And the desserts were delicious, though a bit on the pricey side, but still worth trying as a sweet finish to a great meal. We also ordered a side of ranch, and let me tell you, it would definitely please any ranch aficionado. It was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect dipping companion for the pizza. Our server, Emily, was fabulous. She was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. We truly appreciated her insight, and she didn't lead us astray with our choices. If you're in Hot Springs and looking for great pizza, craft beer, cider, desserts, and top-notch service, SQZBX Brewery is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

Small good selection of beer. Good food options. Choice of 12/20 oz not pint. Our bartender and informative. Cider was unusual, but made in house it was not as refined as others. Decor as quirky and fun as was the staff.

We found this place on the camping map we received while staying at Catherine's Landing RV Park. Drove downtown and were really impressed. They are mainly hand crafted pizzas and they brew 6 beers. The staff was on top of it. They were attentive even while being slammed with customers. You can see the brewing room from almost anywhere in the place. The beers were awesome!! My favorite was the Breakfast Porter. The decor is retro in nature but heavily influenced by the accordion. That's where they get their name. SQZBX (squeeze box). When I'm back in Hot Springs, we will go back.

My husband and I stopped in during our vacay in Hot Springs (we like breweries and we trade stickers from/for our local favorite). We only grabbed the little caprese plate. We smelled everyone's pizzas though and we got jealous we had dinner plans! Beer was good, my husband had the breakfast porter and another one... I had their hard cider which was ok, but I enjoyed the heck out of the Tide is High... Pot-tails! They were awesome! Great staff, owner was super nice, we will be back when we get back up that way!

Fun decor - accordion shaped light fixtures, piano and organ parts. Good service. Fabulous pizzas - we had the hot honey pepperoni and Biggie Smalls. IPA wasn't the best but decent.

Yelp came through once again. Who would have thought that a town like Hot Springs could ever have gluten free AND vegan pizza? Not this Yelper. But, it's true, they do. Vegan cheese even! We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server answered our questions and took our order of home made Hard Cider. The cider was delicious and grew on us more and more with each sip. Ordered the Vegan Dream pizza and veganized the Fungal Jungle. Both were outstanding. We were offered homemade vegan cheesecake until the server remembered "oh yeah, vegan" which resulted in us making a recommendation for them to get vegan ice cream, since there's literally countless brands out there these days! The decor kept with the name of squeezebox and added to the experience. Thankful for unique Americana finds like this.

Pizza was ok but nothing special. Service couldn't be beat. Drinks were standard beer. Relaxing atmosphere. Ok for 4th with very little open.

Outstanding pizza. My wife said I had to give it a 5! We had a biggie small which has two kinds of pepperoni. First thing we noticed was how little grease there was from all that pepperoni. Usually see that with the cupped style. Crust was really good. Sauce wasn't overpowering. The place was cute, though off on a side road, which made parking easy compared to downtown. Our server was friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend this place for your pizza fix!

We loved our 8" pizzas. Tried the Med (artichoke, spinach, bell pepper, feta) and the a Hot Honey Pepperoni. Quick service and our waitress, Brayden, was super attentive and kind. Def recommend.

I'm glad that I decided to check this place out. I met some really cool people just hanging out at the bar who were very friendly and fun to talk with. Their Hot Springs steam beer is by far my favorite one and it goes very well with the pizza. I would highly recommend this brewery to anyone visiting the downtown area.

I love the food here. We bring visitors and family here because of the food and atmosphere. They are true ambassadors of Hot Springs. Put this on your spots to visit, but don't take my table! I'm almost a "regular" guest there!

We accidentally came across this place but so glad we did. The pizza, drinks, & tiramisu were great! The vibes, bartender, and waiter also couldn't have been better! Would definitely come back here.

Our original plan was to pop in here for the dinner the night before but got lazy and didn't want to walk down. It was a mistake!! Thankfully a couple from our hotel HIGHLY recommended the pizza so we made every effort to pop by on our way out of town. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed the outdoor patio. The pizza was delicious!! We are big pizza lovers and this definitely rates high on our list. We will for sure return next time we visit. Looking forward to trying beer next time! To top it off, we had a wonderful waitress.

SQZBX stands for Squeezebox. It once was a musical instrument repair shop before it became a brewery and pizzeria. All their beer are brewed with malt so just a heads up. They do have other beer alternatives on the menu if you're not a fan of malt. If you're sitting in the back, then you'll be able to see a bit of the brewery. Customer Service was exceptional. The hostess was friendly and attentive and our server was amazing. Food We ordered a medium build your own pizza. Toppings include mini pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers. I also ordered a house salad with their house made ranch.

My husband and I ate here while visiting Hot Springs. Probably the best pizza we have ever had. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. We had a Tiny Hot Honey Pizza, and a Medium Ham and Pineapple with Jalapeños. We also had a side of ranch and a small side of the Opera Sauce (hot sauce) and both were delicious. My husband had a beer flight, which to our surprise included all 6 beers. All were great! Our server, Jordan, was wonderful. There was music playing in the restaurant but it wasn't loud or overwhelming. Don't waste your time with the other pizza joints. This is the place to eat at when you're in Hot Springs.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. The pizza crust is amazing and love that they have vegan options. Probably the best vegan pizza I've had. My friend loved her meat pizza too. The beer is kinda meh. But the food is worth the trip.

A cool little place with terrific beer choices and delicious pizza. Servers were very nice and attentive! The musical art on the walls is a nice added touch!

Pizza was good. Great service. Crust is great, toppings were a little too much. Like my pizza with a nice toasted crust that does not get soggy in the middle of the pizza. Overall, worth the money.

This place was good! My husband and I came because we are huge pizza lovers. This place brews their own beer which we loved. It's a chill typical pizza joint type vibe. The pizza was good. I will say, I would've preferred more variety of veggie toppings and they won't do half and half pizzas on tiny pizzas which I was kind of like Merp. I got the veggie pizza and it was good. I think smaller pieces of bell pepper would've allowed for a more even cook and would've been easier to eat. My husband got the Greek which was top notch! Overall a good experience, we were happy!
