We walked in on a cold Thursday evening in January, and unsurprisingly, we were the only ones there (understandable, given the freezing temps and the fact that it was only 5 PM). That being said, the cocktails were really good--maybe a bit on the pricey side, but hey, it's Times Square.
The service, however, was a bit of a mixed bag. We tried to strike up some friendly banter with our server (as we usually do), but she didn't exactly pass the vibe check. She did bring us our food, though, so there's that. Considering we were the only customers in the place, we were a little surprised she didn't check in more often. At one point, I had to get up and walk over to the bar just to ask for a glass of water--kind of awkward, but the bartender was super nice and handed it over.
As for the food: my fiancé ordered the lobster rolls, which she did enjoy, but our server only asked how everything was AFTER she'd finished them/when she came to bus the table (A little late for that check-in). To be fair, the server was nice--just not the most attentive, which was a bummer.
We were hoping to sit outside, but the patio was closed due to the weather--no surprise there, we totally get it. The ambiance inside is lovely, though, and I can imagine the patio is beautiful when it's open.
All in all, it was a decent experience, but unless someone specifically invited me, I probably wouldn't make a return trip on my own.
