"Shout it from the rooftop: Buckhead has a brand-new hang. Floating nine stories over East Paces Ferry Road, St. Julep invites Atlanta to come one, come all for breezy cocktails, kicked-up bar snacks and views for days."
"Located on the ninth floor of the Kimpton Sylvan Hotel on East Paces Ferry, the cocktail bar and lounge St. Julep is modern yet casual and offers panoramic views of the Buckhead skyline. Expect everything from highballs and gin and tonics to margaritas and aperitif cocktails served here, paired with boozy soft serve ice cream, corn dogs, Sichuan tater tots, and a mulita cheeseburger." - Eater Staff, Henna Bakshi
"Buckhead’s Kimpton Sylvan hotel has a few restaurants to compete for your time. There’s The Betty with its upscale American menu, and there’s Willow Bar, a cozy courtyard wine bar. But if you’re looking for a place to take in the sunset, the St. Julep bar is your winner. Join folks in oversized sunglasses in the indoor/outdoor space or in the covered area near the back of the rooftop, where the hip-hop and pop music blast a little louder. Kick back on a couch and eavesdrop on couples, groups of friends, and office gossip fueled by loaded fries, pretty spritz drinks, and upbeat vibes." - nina reeder, demarco williams, juli horsford, jacinta howard
"We like the fun, causal atmosphere at St. Julep atop the Sylvan hotel—because whether your crew comes dressed in suits or scrubs, it’s the perfect bar to unwind after work. Vivid orange walls, sunny flower murals, and upbeat dance hits give this place an air of carefree summer bliss. There’s no pool up here, but handheld snacks like crispy fried corn dogs and a 10-taco flight could convince you you’re at some water park. The cocktail menu changes often but always offers solid concoctions like pomegranate daiquiris, vodka-heavy dirty chai, and boozy soft serve. The view captures more Buckhead condominiums than endless horizon, but we’re usually too focused on slathering mustard on our corn dogs to care." - juli horsford
"Because we get tired of being serious all the time, the indoor/outdoor rooftop bar of The Sylvan hotel in Buckhead is the place we head to to unwind with a couple of cocktails and loaded tater tots after a day of pretending to be a professional person. Something about a spinning disco ball always relaxes our BRF muscles, plus it’s hard to beat eating vodka-spiked sorbet or tequila-mango soft serve and dancing to ’90s hip-hop with a perfect vantage point of the Buckhead streets. (Did we mention that the drinks are named after OutKast songs like “SpottieOttie” and “Return of the G”?) If you ultimately decide you’re not in the casual mood for corn dogs and other light snacks, head down to the hotel's other restaurants, The Betty, where you can eat more adult-y things like oysters, gnocchi, and steak, or the Willow Bar for small plates and wine." - nina reeder, demarco williams
"Dine outside at Willow Bar on the ground floor and sip on spritzy cocktails in a secret garden. Want drinks with a view? Head up to the ninth floor to St. Julep for highballs, G&Ts, and aperitif cocktails, and even boozy soft serve ice cream. For a bit of sophistication, linger at the bar in the hotel restaurant the Betty and order new and classic takes on steakhouse dishes paired with whiskey, bourbon, and gin cocktails." - Eater Staff
