"Buckhead’s Kimpton Sylvan hotel has a few restaurants to compete for your time. There’s The Betty with its upscale American menu, and there’s Willow Bar, a cozy courtyard wine bar. But if you’re looking for a place to take in the sunset, the St. Julep bar is your winner. Join folks in oversized sunglasses in the indoor/outdoor space or in the covered area near the back of the rooftop, where the hip-hop and pop music blast a little louder. Vivid orange walls, sunny flower murals, and upbeat dance hits give this place an air of carefree summer bliss. There’s no pool up here, but handheld snacks like crispy fried corn dogs and a 10-taco flight could convince you you’re at some water park. The cocktail menu changes often but always offers solid concoctions like pomegranate daiquiris, vodka-heavy dirty chai, and boozy soft serve. "Because we get tired of being serious all the time, the indoor/outdoor rooftop bar of The Sylvan hotel in Buckhead is the place we head to to unwind with a couple of cocktails and loaded tater tots after a day of pretending to be a professional person. Something about a spinning disco ball always relaxes our BRF muscles, plus it’s hard to beat eating vodka-spiked sorbet or tequila-mango soft serve and dancing to ’90s hip-hop with a perfect vantage point of the Buckhead streets. (Did we mention that the drinks are named after OutKast songs like “SpottieOttie” and “Return of the G”?)
