Cecily Is Opening in Greenpoint From an Estela Alum - Eater NY

"Kevin Cox, the owner of Funzi’s in the East Village, is reportedly out at the new business. The promising pizzeria opened on St. Marks Place this spring: Its thin-crust pies with simple toppings — tomato, garlic, and chicory — put the pizzeria in the same sentence as slice shop greats like L’Industrie, where Cox previously worked, and Scarr’s. He has since left the business amid a dispute with the building’s investors and landlord, according to sources in the neighborhood. The Funzi’s name has been removed from the storefront at 36 St. Marks Place, between Second and Third avenues; the restaurant remains open for service. Funzi’s did not respond to Eater’s request for comment." - Luke Fortney

Funzi's Pizzeria - Review - East Village - New York - The Infatuation

"Funzi’s already feels like it’s been around since the Koch administration, and not just because of the stucco walls and extensive maroon carpeting. Neighborhood folks pop in to say hey, and the front porch with lawn chairs functions as a living room for the corner of St. Marks and Second Avenue. It’s a pizza party out there, and the slices are crisp and chewy. Most of your traditional options are available, but there are also a few fancier ones like a chicory version topped with wilted dandelion greens. Order at the counter, then either sit inside near a knockoff Mona Lisa, or take in the street scene out front. To round out your meal, get the deep-fried lasagna. It’s like a giant mozzarella stick, but with noodles and beef ragu. photo credit: Kate Previte" - Bryan Kim

Google
All around amazing! Easily in the top 3 slices of pizza I’ve had in the city. A very unpretentious environment with a vibe similar to 169 bar. They have a porch! Which is super cozy and cute. Highly recommend the burrata. Also met the owner and he was super great to talk to!

Alex

Google
Legit, high quality NY pizza. Some of the better slices I’ve had in the city, so I expect this place to only get more popular. The owner is super friendly and the shops’ playful atmosphere & vibes make for an enjoyable experience.

Laurie Erickson

Google
Excellent pizza. Just the right amount of crispy and chewy. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Counter service was friendly and efficient. Fun decor - nice to be able to sit and enjoy good pizza right out of the oven. Will become a regular stop for us.

Google
I heard about this place thru one of Kenji Lopez-Alt's Instagram posts - he was going thru different slice shops in NYC. I put this right behind L'Industrie in terms of quality. It's the only other slice I had in NYC that gives that little salty kick and makes my mouth salivate when I bite into a plain slice. Crust has got crunch, structure, and has flavor. Place has an old school vibe - I remember Italian family run places like this from where I'm from in Pittsburgh. Service was efficient and friendly. Hope the quality is consistent over time. Would stop back the next time I'm in NYC.

Google
Came to try a few slices and enjoyed the pizza! The burrata was my favorite. The crust is a little thin and I felt like it didn’t reheat that well. It became a bit hard and the pizza got cold pretty quickly.

Google
All hail the new pizza king of the east village! The burrata is arguably a little gratuitous but delicious nonetheless, their white pie is one of the best I’ve had, and the plain cheese is absolutely elite. The magic is really in the dough though. Got a pie delivered recently and it was still super crispy even after sitting in the box for 30ish minutes.

Google
Funzi's Pizzeria is new to Saint Marks Place. casual unpretentious pizza joint with a good amount of seating inside as well as some seating outside. stopped in here this past weekend and grabbed a plain cheese slice. the pizza is a thin firm crust NYC slice served very hot (the only way to do it!). the pizza has a distinct tomato flavor topped with a thin layer of mozzarella cheese. the slice is finished with basil and shredded Parmesan or Grana Padano. the slice at Funzi's reminded me a little a bit of Di Fara's both in taste and smell. the interior is chill and old school. the service was laidback and cool. overall, if you are on Saint Mark's and need a satisfying slice, then Funzi's is a safe bet for a solid slice.

Google
The burrata is the best slice of pizza I've ever had, period, and it blew my mind. The white pizza slice was also great but I prefer Joe's white slice because I think Joe's uses more mozzarella. Something for the chefs to keep in mind. The dough and tomato sauce are both perfect; Joe's tomato sauce is way too sweet, for comparison. Great service too, I got a free slice of white because one slice was a little bit smaller than the other!

Yelp
... Okay, I might have found my favorite pizza in the city. Cello's Pizza is great, it's spacious inside and not busy during most week days, with seating to eat and chat. Guys behind the counter are super nice and they get your slices out fast. I absolutely adore the dough and crust on these slices, it's crispy on the bottom but still got the chew you want, a little flop never hurt anyone! The ingredients taste beyond fresh, was so surprised that my 5 dollar slices tasted so delicious. Pizza is worth every penny here. I definitely recommend the Pep and Jalapeño. Burrata slice was good if you can't eat meat but I'd pick something else.

Yelp
Cello's pizza was great! We had a few late night slices and closed the place down. They seem to have a nice variety of options. Rating this a 4/5 because it is good and I would return but it didn't blow me out of the water. It's convenient for late night and is delicious.

Yelp
When I was walking through the streets on Santacon, craving a snack to fuel the continuing party, I stumbled upon Cello's with a group of friends. In that moment, nothing sounded better than a couple of hot slices of pizza - so, we headed into Cello's! The ambience was perfect for an east village pizza shop - santas, regularly-dressed folks, and observers lined up to order some slices. I loved their brief but powerful menu - just a few varieties of slices, but all sounding delicious. I personally ordered the Burrata slice and the margherita slice. I had to wait a little extra for my Burrata slice but it was worth it. I saw them bring a steaming hot tomato pie fresh out of the oven and top it with a heaping pile of burrata cheese - a slice was cut and put on my plate, and it truly was heaven. The service was great and seeing my pizza being made fresh in front of me was the dream. The one critique I have is that the sauce could use some more flavor. Probably even just a bit more salt ! Overall, it was a great experience with friends, great pizza, and a lovely environment.

Yelp
OK so, this pizza is something special. To start off, I'm someone that actually prefers pizza that has some flop (aka, yes it needs a little crisp, but I still want my pizza to fold down the axis). This pizza is not that-- it's crispy, and isn't floppy at all. That being said, i still give them 5 stars-- robust flavors, great ingredients, and an almost-perfect burrata slice. We'll be back, I need to try the chicory slice. Thanks team for your pizza, your giving a shit attitude, and your kindness.
google avatar

Vanessa A.

Yelp
They were particularly busy when I went since Santa-con was going on. I ordered a plain slice, which cost exactly $4 with cash. It probably took about 5 minutes to get it. The gentleman that took my order was very nice. Luckily some seats cleared while I was waiting. I liked the thinness of the crust but the slice seemed to be lacking something, possibly more cheese. They sprinkle parmesan on it before serving.
google avatar

Nida H.

Yelp
We got a slice of cheese pizza as we strolled the city. Quick service. Perfectly crisp pizza. Classic taste! Worth trying if you're in the area!

Yelp
I was wholeheartedly ready to rate this place an "it's alright" until I had their pepperoni slice. If you're not ready, this style of pizza is very thin charred crust and minimalistic cheese. I'm a sauce man myself but the fiance is a cheese gal. I think if you're into the style they're offering, the flavors for most of their slices are very prominent. The pepperoni especially tastes fresh and high quality. And the sauce was very bright and not overpowering. I expected more from the burrata but they might've been going for mellow.
google avatar

Tsvika K.

Yelp
Very Nice selection . Took the burrata and the pepperoni / jalapeño Excellent choice . It's the crust (avoid the edges....) that is thin the right way though still delicious. Highly recommended!!! Definitely a destination!!!!

Yelp
Stopped by Cello's after getting a lighter dinner and decided to get a slice! It's nice inside with some tables and places to sit and a bunch of great looking pizzas sold by the slice. They had some great looking burrata slices, vodka, and pepperoni with jalapeños which is what I got. They heated it to perfection and although I haven't tried many, this is my favorite NYC slice! Pepperoni was nice and crispy and I like the cup ones better. Jalapeños had a little kick and it almost tasted like there was hot honey on the pizza. Crust was perfectly crispy and they added freshly grated parmesan! Definitely recommend trying this spot for a slice and if I'm in the area again I want to try some of their other types!

Yelp
Heard this was started by ex Lindustrie folks so had to give it a try. If you order via online apps/over the website, you have limited options. I called up the number & I must say whoever picked up was incredibly friendly to allow me to customize my order. Honestly a pretty good pizza, not as thin as Lindustrie. Since I had it delivered it did get a bit cold, I think while hot it would taste even better.

Yelp
Solid slice at this new Pizza spot on St Mark's Place . Once I figured out where the door was I went in and ordered a Vodka slice (it was $5 .) I was going to try that Chicory slice because it looked interesting but apparently it had bacon on it . Anyway, they put fresh grated cheese on the slice before they hand it to you , and although I didn't taste the vodka sauce it was a pretty tasty slice . Slightly chewy and a good choice near 2nd Avenue. Check them out.

Yelp
I'm a straight L'Industrie stan, so when my roommate sent me a video of Cello's Pizza that mentioned it was started by a L'Industrie alum, I knew I had to get over there. He went before I did and I got a text that had a picture of the Cello's pep and jalapeño slice along with a slew of messages: "OMG... THIS MY FAV SLICE IN THE CITY...WOW...THIS IS CRAZY...DEAR GOD THAT WAS FKN INSANE...BRO I SWEAR THIS MY #1... NOT EVEN A CLOSE 2ND...YOU HEAR THOSE FOOTSTEPS L'INDUSTRIE???" A bit dramatic, but I have been begging, PLEADING for a slice close to L'Industries caliber anywhere remotely close to me. I paused the 1 hour 42 minute video of the Kobe Bryant 05-06 Season Highlights I was watching, got off the couch, and went straight there. It was my bat signal. When I stepped into Cello's at 5pm on a Sunday, there was NO line. A few people in there, but I was shocked at how dead it was. I walked up and ordered a slice of cheese ($4) and a slice of the pep & jalapeño ($5). The prices are actually reasonable for the Lower East Side, not an East Village Pizza where a slice of pep runs you $6.25, smh. The pep & jalapeño was an S-tier slice. Fresh jalapeño and pepperoni both with a slight crisp, the perfect amount of hot honey drizzle, no flop on the crust, and a little grated cheese to top it off. An ideal crunch on every bite, it was spiritual. Pure artistry. But for me, that spicy salami slice from L'Industrie is still in a league of its own. God-tier. However, I speculate that it could be God-tier if the slice was fresh, as mine was reheated in the pizza oven. L'Industries slices are always fresh out of the oven as there is a line from open to close. They are always making fresh pies and slices due to sheer necessity. Shoutout to James Jaworski, who was formerly at L'Industrie, and is the Head Chef here at Cello's. He specializes in advanced dough making/fermentation techniques, AND IT SHOWS! Keep doing your thing. East Village needed this. Thank the good lord Jesus Christ, there is finally a fantastic slice of Pizza in the East Village. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Yelp
Solid slice shop and delivers well too! Perfectly crispy and well balanced toppings, Cellos is one of my go-to shops in the East Village. It's hard to resist not stopping in for a slice when I'm nearby.

Yelp
This is an update to my review. Yesterday after jazz my friend and I had gone to have pizza at Cello's only to find two guys locking up. Apparently once the dough is finished the pizzeria is closed for the day. This was around 10:15 pm and 11 pm is listed as closing time. Devastated.
google avatar

Yelp
Feels like pizza joints are popping up everywhere. I'm not one to complain tho! Saw a bunch of people talk about Cellos on social media and curiosity got the best of us- also figured that if this place is going to blow up in popularity, best try it early! Stopped by on a Saturday early evening. They've got ample seating and also outside in an alcove area that's actually kind of cool. Ordered a chicory slice and a vodka slice. Was surprised to see 2 chicory slices when they called me to get my slices- was informed that because the slices were small he decided to give me an additional slice. I can't remember if ever in the history of getting pizza in my entire life where the guy recognizes the slices are small and proactively compensates- that's the attention to detail and actually caring about the customer experience we could use more of in the world. Pizza was crispy thin delicious- Note: I'm actually kind of hesitant to call this a classic nyc slice, as it's so crispy it's not foldable- they're excellent thin crust pizzas is what I'll settle with.
google avatar

Naomi J.

Yelp
Possibly the best pizza I have had in Manhattan! The sausage broccoli has just the right amount of kick to the sausage, the pizza isn't too wet (some places do too much sauce), the crust is perfect, and each slice is exactly $5 including tax.

Yelp
Came here after having omakase down the street (lol was still hungry) and let me tell you it was the best decision. I'm not from New York so of course I had to get me a slice before heading back home. It was super busy on a Saturday night and I came with a large group, so we were only adding to the chaos. You order at the cashier and pay, then they'll call your name when it's ready. I ordered a slice of burrata pizza. I think I waited 20 minutes for my slice. During those 20 minutes, we met an owner/investor of Cello's Pizzeria. He was eating pizza and had a large box of donuts with him that he was sharing with customers. He explained that he also owned a donut place called Dough Doughnuts. We tried a few flavors and they were doughy and delicious! If I had more time during this trip, I would have loved to check out the location. Anyways, my slice of pizza came out hot and fresh, so it was worth the wait. The slice of burrata pizza was humungous. It had a glob of burrata cheese on top. I was so happy that I picked that one. There's tables inside but it was so busy that my group went to eat at the tables outside. This is the perfect place to get a bite when you're out socializing, drinking, or if you're simply just hungry. Get pizza here!!

Yelp
tbh i don't really understand the hype - i'm hoping i just came on an off day the food: i got the jalapeño pepperoni and the tomato slice - the jalapeño slice actually had pretty good flavor from the hot honey but both were lacking on the SAUCE! as a tomato slice i expected more and flavorful sauce but it was pretty bland and sparse :( also the dough is crispy and thin but almost too crispy for me, it was like a cracker the space: surprisingly big inside! decent amount of seating
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
Very unassuming spot, but tried after hearing it has alums of l'industrie. I absolutely love the bursts slice. The crust was crispy without it being burnt. A great addition to neighborhood
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
We came here during their soft opening, and was surprised by how empty the shop was. Only us and one other party there, so no wait and plenty of seating. Really awesome interior; gives old school vibes. We got the burrata and the spicy pepperoni slice, and these were truly a top 3 slice I've had in NY. The dough has a beautifully crispy bottom, but still has enough thickness to carry some chew. The flavor is on point too; not too salty which I find an issue with most pizzas. The burrata pairs beautifully with the sauce, actually better than the L'industrie burrata slice. The spicy pepperoni is also great; definitely has a bit of a kick, and the pepperonis are beautifully cripsy. The owner is also fantastic; he was there that day and chatted us up, ended up giving a free donut from another store of his. Awesome spot, go give them some love before they go viral!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This was a very very solid NY slice - ordered the burrata slice. It was literally paper thin, so light and crispy. Absolutely passes the flop test. There was a nice fresh chunk of burrata and the tomato base had a nice tang that was not too acidic nor too sweet. Plenty of searing around. Solid!
google avatar

Austin S.

Yelp
Spent a week in New York and went to multiple spots trying to get a solid New York slice. Cello's did it for me. Oh, was this some solid pizza. I went midday on a friday and it was empty. An unassuming spot on St. Marks. I avoided the viral spots and wanted to find a hole in the wall that dished quality pies. This felt authentic. One guy behind the counter and another worker was at a table eating a slice. They were chatting candidly about adjustments/developments to the menu. Pretty cool, to be honest. The slice was nice. The bottom was a bit crispy. I think I wanted it a bit flappier, but other than that? Muah. And, this is the only spot I went to that grates extra cheese on top. I think Cello's is going to be one of those spots I really miss leaving New York. A spot that really feels local. It isn't decorated for tourists, doesn't feel commercialized. It just is a local spot focused on quality pies with quality ingredients.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
New favorite slice shop in NYC. I stopped in after lunch to grab a quick slice, and ended up getting a second it was that good. Perfect crust, no flop, great tasting sauce, love the fresh shaved parm on top. The pepperoni vodka was awesome, as was the burrata. They didn't have the chicory slice but I'll grab that one next visit
google avatar

Charmaine T.

Yelp
- Burrata slice ($5.17) - Sausage slice ($5) Knew I had to check this spot out before it gets too viral and I'm so glad I did! They have thin crust classic New York style pizzas and also some Detroit squares. I got two slices of thin NY pizzas and they were both really good. It seems like most people in the store got the burrata slice and I can totally see why. The burrata cheese was so fresh and goes really well with their tomato sauce. We went on a weekend noon (last Saturday) and there was a small crowd but no line, so better get going before the line starts forming! Follow @messyfeedeats for more‼

Yelp
Currently in their soft opening, Cello's Pizzeria is coming back with their signature Chickory Slice that will have you ranking it in as possibly the best pizza spot in the EV. From the owners of Dough Donuts & the previous owners of Funzi's Pizza comes this classic appearing pizza spot on the corner of the main block of Astor Pl. CHICKORY SLICE When you order it you can see the bits of (i think) bacon, cheese, and chicory but when you receive your slice you'll see they have dressed it up some more, and this slice looks loaded! It's not too heavy, and has a savory cheesy veggie flavor throughout with chunks of meat for extra saltiness. The dough I think is my favorite part, creating a beautifully crisp crust that holds the toppings well, and crunches nicely with a slight doughy, satisfying chew. This slice is def the thing to get, though for me, I like to compare pizza places with a standard margherita slice, so I'll have to come back and partake. In the meantime, wish all the luck for this place.
google avatar

Linda W.

Yelp
I was in the neighborhood so I couldn't resist giving this place a try. The guys at the counter were really nice! That's why I gave this place 2 stars. The slice looked promising but unfortunately the thin crust was just all crunch and dry. I love a good thin slice but for $4 this just doesn't do it for me. Grand street pizza and pizza Fini are definitely superior. With so many pizza places in the city, the social media hype makes me think that it's just that. Hype. Don't believe everything people advertise but feel free to try for yourself.
google avatar

Silvie C.

Yelp
Still great even after different ownership. I love coming to Cello's for a tomato slice when I am walking around St Marks with no lactaid pills rattling around my purse. The digs look slightly different but it remains one of the best slice shops in the immediate area. The patio is still open, though I rarely see folks enjoying their 'zza outside.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Simple slice shop highly rated by noted food influencers like Kenji Alt 2 weeks ago and Dave Portnoy 1 year ago. I had the vodka slice ($5.14). It was high quality and very well made. The ingredients were evenly distributed and in good proportion. The crust was thin and crisp. Their homemade vodka sauce was very good but could've been a little richer and more flavorful. The only compliant was the crust was a crackly and over crisp. We met the owner. He's a big shot in the food business who owns Dough Doughnuts among other operations. He also has packaged food in Whole Foods and is launching a prepackaged frozen protein donut Dough Pro. Super cool guy
google avatar

Giuliana G.

Yelp
This pizza is AMAZING! Hands down one of the best in NYC. Quality ingredients, and an amazing crust. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Gabe D.

Yelp
Ambiance is fine, not much character but very specious and clean and they have a bathroom. Workers are nice and they heat up my slice quickly. I give the vodka about a 5.9/10. The texture is perfect in my opinion but the flavor of the pizza wasn't anything amazing. It was also oily and not in a good way. I paid $5 for my vodka slice.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Their burrata pizza was so good, way better than I expected. Definitely recommend it!
google avatar

Gabe D.

Yelp
This is very good pizza, with a pretty short wait time. Founded by the same guy as L'Industrie, Cello's delivers the same style of pizza but a bit sloppier. Overall, the crust was a little hard but the flavors were good. It's very solid pizza but not quite really good or great. Would recommend for a try though!
google avatar

Charley K.

Yelp
Superb pizza slices done quickly and well. Yes, the slices are $5, but you can tell the quality immediately. The crust is thin but never dry. The balance between sauce and topping is ideal. They are tasty but not greasy. I had the vodka and the chicory (white pie with bacon and broccoli rabe). They were delicious. Better still was the freshly grated Parmesan on top. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Marie D.

Yelp
Have you tried Cello Pizza? If you love thin-crust pizza, it's a must! Balancing delicious food with a healthy lifestyle is tricky, but Cello helped me out. I tried the Burrata, Chicory, and Margherita pizzas, and they were amazing. A quick history: Funzi's launched in June with a retro East Village theme inspired by owner Kevin Cox's grandmother's house. Cox left in November, taking the Funzi name with him, but there's been no news of his next spot. The pizzeria was then rebranded as Cello Pizza located on St. Marks Pizzeria--same pizza, same chefs, just a new name.
google avatar

david l.

Yelp
When this used to be Funzi my one and only experience myself and another diner had to wait 20 mins for reheated pizza. The owner was clueless in running his shop with a terrible system and no care for customer service. Cello's is much different. You're in and out fast even if there are other customers. They kept some of the pizza from Funzi. The chicory slice is one of the best white slices in the city. It has greens and pork lardons. The flavors work great together.
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
On my walk towards the salon for my haircut I noticed Cello's and I remembered I had wanted to try their pizza. After I was finished, I walked back to grab some lunch. It was pretty busy but no wait at all. I decided on a hot honey slice with pepperoni and jalapeños. A table opened up and I sat down with my Diet Coke and waited for my slice to come out of the oven. My name is called and my slice comes out decked out with freshly grated cheese on top, very nice. I loved this pizza, the crust was crisp and it wasn't doughy which I loved. The heat from the hot honey and sliced jalapeños were irresistible. I enjoyed the generous amount of sauce on the pizza too. I enjoyed it so much, I went back to the counter for another. They also had vodka slices, and some other interesting ones like chicory (like a broccoli rabe). The guys there were friendly and I definitely would stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Erika N.

Yelp
Great pizza in the EV! My fav was the vodka with jalapeno. So good. Fast service and piping hot pizza slices. However the crust can be a bit too on the dark side, but that's fine for me. Lots of space inside, and even has a little patio that should help out even more when the weather is nice. Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Kelly J.

Yelp
In the most unlikely stops on St. Marks, this quaint Pizza shop has a great eat in vibe ! Crust is worth the price of admission ! Tip Top ! I strongly recommend the pizza they call the chicory bacon trust me on this one folks it's one of a kind deliciousness is so sophisticated it makes you feel like you're having pizza for the first time ! Come on and get these guys some love in return you're gonna love their pizza !!!

pia i.

Yelp
Hmmm probably not the best slice we've had in NYC so far. Considering that the place wasn't so busy (not much of a line, not a long wait), we thought that the slice was waaay too burnt. Taste wise, we thought it was bland. Maybe we went at the wrong time? Since this place was along St Marks and there were other food places, we were happy to go and check them out. We later on had another slice elsewhere.
google avatar

Diane T.

Yelp
Nice selection of slices ready to go. Prices are great and pizza was good. Staff was friendly and fast

Yelp
Deja vu. This place looks a lot like Funzi's inside, matter of fact, I was looking for Funzi's and liked the look of the slices people were eating in the window seats, so...Excellent pepperoni slice, cups nice and charred around the edge, good cheese and a fresh grate on the top. For me, the dough was a smidge dry. This may be the fault of the reheat though. Lots of slices sitting out on a Saturday. But perfect leopard char on the bottom, a perfect crisp fold. I heard the guy next to me say it was his best slice he's ever had in NYC. And pellegrino in the fridge instead of that horrid stale bottled water that's everywhere. Excellent slice.

Yelp
Look, I'm not from The City, so I can't say who has the best slice in NYC. What I can tell you is that we hit three walk up pizza spots in one day and this place has a slice that's worth the trip. It also has some slices that are not worth the trip. The slice that is 100% worth the trip is the Jalapeño and Pepperoni slice ($5) that's drizzled with some hot honey... So freakin good! If you don't like spice, then this isn't your slice! FYI - The other slices are meh, so I only recommend Cello's if you are looking for a great slice of spicy pepperoni pizza. Overall (and beyond the food), the service of the staff was chill and friendly. The space is a bit tight with limited seating and if you eat inside it could be warm/ hot due to the oven putting off some heat. My recommendation is to get a spicy jalapeño and pepperoni slice and take a walk around...

Yelp
Nice thin crispy crust, a tasty sauce, and fresh grated cheese added after it comes out of the oven. Got me a slice of pepperoni and jalapeño, and splurged another dollar for spicy honey. I didn't taste much jalapeño; I think they use the mild variety Anyway, very flavorful.

Yelp
I made a trip to Cello's to sample their Pizza. I ordered a Margherita slice, and a plain slice. Both slices were nothing spectacular. The crust was a bit flimsy, and has a bit too much char for my taste. The space is attractive, but has no bathroom. Two slices and a bottle of water cost $11.00. Thank U next!

Yelp
Cellos has amazing pizza. Their dough is crunchy and has a great taste to it. Their mozzarella cheese is very neutral tasting and Cellos does a perfect pizza sauce to mozzarella ratio. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I've lived in the East village for 2+ years and since Cello's popped up on St. Mark place, I am yet to visit another pizzeria in the area. Highly recommend their cheese slice, which they hit with the fresh sprinkle of parmigiano Reggiano straight out of the oven.

Yelp
Definitely some of my favorite pizza in NYC. Had the cheese slice and pepperoni and jalapeño. Both were amazing. Love the balance of ingredients and crispy crust.
