The 22 Best Restaurants In Milwaukee 2024

"The Midwest isn’t exactly a seafood paradise, but St. Paul Fish Company is. The counter in Milwaukee Public Market has everything from fish fries and Maryland blue crab cakes, to oyster shooters and a lobster roll on buttery toasted brioche that’s a surprisingly good replica of what you’d find in Maine. If you’re looking for something fast, get one of the 11 seafood sandwiches. But there’s no need to rush. Unlike the market’s other stands, this one has a restaurant-sized seating area. In the summer, grab a seat under the market’s palapa to feel like you’re somewhere tropical with seagulls buzzing around—not shouldered by high-rises in the Midwest." - kristine hansen

The food is amazing! Full of flavor, great sauces, it's hot, and we have zero complaints. Halibut was amazing! Shark Bites amazing! Kids fried cod needed a little more flavor but it's for kids so probably better for them. 20 minute wait but was provided a buzzer which was strong enough to visit the entire market while waiting. I wanted to go to a fancy fish restaurant but after we had this, it was more then half the price of the fancy restaurant and so delicious! Very reasonable priced and highly recommend the 20 minute wait!

The food I had was alright, but nothing really stood out. St. Paul Fish Company is a seafood spot inside the Milwaukee Public Market, with a casual dine-in setup tucked into one corner of the market. I went with the walleye fry, and honestly, it was just okay. The breading didn’t have much flavor and was pretty under-seasoned for my taste. I’m not a seafood expert, but the fish itself didn’t seem like the best quality. The fries were standard—nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The Baja shrimp "taco" had better flavor, and the dipping sauce that came with the walleye was pretty good too. Calamari and its sauce were just average. As mentioned, this isn't a traditional sit-down restaurant. The dining space is fairly small, and depending on when you go, you might have to wait a bit for a table. Service was great—the server was professional and helpful throughout. I wouldn’t come back specifically for any of the things I ordered, but if I’m ever back in the area, I wouldn’t mind grabbing something different from here again.

Ordered to go on a Friday night. Staff was friendly and quick. The food came up even quicker! It was so fresh and hot. The lobster bisque was delicious and honestly a great deal. The cod was crispy and flaky, but surprisingly the best was the tartar sauce!

I love St. Paul's! Always great service, excellent food. Always fresh and pretty quick to come out of the kitchen. I've never had a bad mask here. It's a market so it can be busy at times, but if there's a wait time, they'll give you a buzzer and you can walk around the Milwaukee market and have drinks, shop or snack while waiting. One of my favorite seafood restaurants in Milwaukee.

Great Seafood & Service A Must-Visit in Milwaukee! As someone visiting from Montreal who has traveled to too many cities across the U.S., I can confidently say that St. Paul Fish Company is one of the really good seafood spots I’ve experienced! I ordered the Bouillabaisse, and it was absolutely delicious. The tomato fennel broth was rich and packed with flavor, perfectly complementing the fresh mussels, clams, fish, calamari, and shrimp. The side of toasted French bread was perfect for soaking up the broth and it made the dish even better! I also tried the Jamaican Jerk Swordfish sandwich, and it was just as impressive. The swordfish was grilled to perfection, juicy, and had the right amount of jerk spice. Paired with crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, and lemon caper mayo on a soft kaiser roll, it was a perfect balance of spice and freshness. Beyond the incredible food, the service was top-notc , friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere was lively, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors like myself… If you’re in Milwaukee and love seafood, St. Paul Fish Company is a must-visit! The quality, flavor, and service make it stand out even among the many restaurants I’ve tried across the U.S. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

Stopped by on a whim before an event upstairs in the market for the dollar oysters. We sat at the bar and were able to find a seat quickly even though it was pretty busy around this time. They have dollar Blue Point oysters from 4-6pm. I’m not sure if the other oysters also qualify but, I know the Blue Point oysters to be true. We had a drink to start, I got the Paloma which was $11 and she got a glass of Pinot Grigio that was $7. This was my attempt to introduce my friend to oysters. We got 10 oysters and they were phenomenal as always. They have some of the sides on the bar, so that was nice to be able to just grab them. We were in and out within 30minutes. Fast service, great food and great atmosphere! Love this place!

Google
If you’re in Milwaukee and you don’t go here you’re missing out. And if you go here and don’t get the lobster roll, that should be a criminal offense. Added the lobster bisque at the server’s suggestion. Used it to dip the sandwich in. Everything was top notch. And the rest of the market was cool to walk around and burn off the glutinous meal.

Google
Always fun. Was extra packed due to summerfest. But managed to snag two seats at the bar. Service was great despite the crowd and the seafood always hits. I had blackened swordfish and wifey had lobster roll. Both were great.

Yelp
I Had this place on my list for our overnight visit in Milwaukee. I called to see if they were busy because it was close to 7 pm. We paid to park across the street and walked over. Such a cool area! Restaurants and shops...so you can spend time in that area. We were seated quickly, waited on and ate all within an hour! We had a sweet, attentive and helpful waitress (wish I could remember her name. It was a few days ago.) We started with Pina Coladas with a floater that were tasty and ordered oysters for our appetizer. The Walleye dinner was delicious; we loved it! A casual, fun market/restaurant atmosphere. We highly recommend going here!

Yelp
Came here as a random eenie-meenie when plans to go to a different restaurant fell through. They have daily specials after 4pm and we came on a Tuesday so we got their Fish Taco special (choice of fried grouper, shrimp or surf clam). We got one of the grouper and one of surf clam, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how yummy and filling it was!! Both of us preferred the clam over the grouper. We also got 6 oysters on half shell which were also delicious. I really want to come back for their Thursday $1 oyster special because who doesn't love raw oysters? They have a pretty large seating area and were decently packed on a random Tuesday evening at dinner time. We sat at the bar and service was quick, food came out fast.

Yelp
The lobster roll was terrible. I'm from the east-coast, so expectations were already low, but it was terrible. One of the workers assured me it was "all lobster", when you can barely see any lobster. Just a ton of celery The lobster bisque was runny and not a single identifiable piece of lobster. Maybe they puree it but the consistency was like runnier than tomato soup. If you want a REAL lobster roll, go to Gossman's in Montauk, NY (or anywhere east of Pennsylvania). This one is just NO!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of staying in the Third Ward a few blocks from the Public Market so had to check it out. While walking around the "daily specials" board at St. Paul Fish Company caught out eyes. The cold case has a ton of raw and cured goods and there's a very small bar you can eat at but only 8-10 seats so I imagine it's hard to get one at prime times. The bartenders are also runners so definitely shouldn't sit down if you're in a hurry. There were pretty friendly, though. We were there for the $12 "walleye fish fry" special and it was a great deal for the portion. I'll say that the batter was a bit thick and greasy but the fish itself was good. If the batter were thinner I think they could fry in some hotter oil for less time to get it a bit less "dripping with grease". I will say that it was plenty crispy and piping hot. The fried clams were also slightly over-breaded so the clams were a bit lost in the mix. All I could really taste was dredge and grease. The aioli was really good, though. Don't know if I'd go out of my way to come back but the special is a hard deal to pass up.

Yelp
I had lunch with a friend here recently during the week, but not quite at lunch time. This seems to be the secret to getting a table without an issue as this location is always packed. Our server was friendly and helpful with his suggestions. Our Bloody Mary's were good with the shrimp and salmon crack accompaniments. I had the crab cake sandwich, which was very good, but did have a fair amount of filler. My friend enjoyed her ahi tuna sandwich and found it to be quite filling. The fries were fine. This location is loud, even on a slow day, but that's the price to pay for being in the market. All in all this was a good experience for both of us.

Yelp
Our dining choice for lunch in Milwaukee it's located in the 3rd Ward Public Market. Unique setting in an old warehouse filled with many shops and dining options St Paul Fish Company stood out in its seating and dining offerings. They have a cool oyster bar where one can sit hold court and dine on their oysters or many other offerings while enjoying a beverage. The fresh fish display is appealing to the eye and probably was the big draw for us. We opted to sit in a more open dining area with about ten tables across from the bar and takeout but right next to huge windows that gave us an urban street view of old Milwaukee. The tables and chairs were large and comfortable giving you ample elbow room between tables to enjoy your meal. Our server Maria, a true local, was excellent! Super knowledgeable about the offerings and her personal favorites. She walked us through the menu with ease. Having myself been in the service industry for many years I can tell you that Maria knew her business and her hospitality skills were exceptional. We started with their gumbo. Excellent choice rich broth and full of great ingredients. I took a quart to go. On to the appetizer of fried spring and cocktail sauce was another winner. Our main courses were the Maine lobster roll and fried oyster po'boy. Both great choices. The lobster roll was no small sandwich and stuffed with choice lobster while the po' boy was stuffed full of excellent oysters and a nice rumalade sauce on the side. Both came with an option of plentiful side of fries that were crisp and not greasy or a bag of really good chips. All of the offerings were ex excellent. Both g portions at very reasonable prices. But the service really hit it on the head! Maria was awesome. A truly great stop when at Public Market even if just for a small nosh.

Yelp
I went to St Paul's on a Saturday so it was very busy. I had my boyfriend with me so it was a party of two; we were able to be seated right away. There were other people waiting for larger tables with a party of 4 or more. Service was fast which was great. It was our first time going to the market here in Milwaukee. All of our friends recommended us to get the lobster roll. Walking around the market, I think this was the most interesting restaurant for us to try. There are large chunks of lobster in the roll which I like because you can taste the sweetness of the lobster. My boyfriend thought there was too much cream that he could barely taste the lobster. The bread was warm but the filling was cold. It was the first time that I had a cold lobster roll! I wasn't expecting too much because we were in Milwaukee. Overall, the lobster roll was okay, I've had better ones.

Yelp
An awesome seafood restaurant at Public Market. Shrimp Po' Boy was very flavorful. You get a healthy amount shrimp with the Po Boy.

Yelp
I just wish they didn't use styrofoam for take out. Oyster bar is lovely. Food comes out pretty fast. Staff are knowledgeable.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!!! My husband ordered the Po Boy catfish sandwich and a Bloody Mary. I got a mimosa and a perch sandwich. WOW! WOW! Wow!!! Yum

Yelp
There was a long line around lunchtime. We came back for an early dinner, and it was about a 30 minute wait. There was a selection of 6 different oysters and we tried all of them. They could've been shucked better. I wanted to get the fish fry, but I wasn't hungry enough to do so. Instead, I shared the fried surf clams tacos with my bf. The clams were crispy but salty. I was satisfied overall.

Yelp
I've heard good things about their fish fry, it seems to be a common Wisconsinite mission to find the best! If you've been to the Milwaukee Public Market, you know it can get pretty busy at times. They are housed on the east end of the market and have many deli options and seafood to take home and cook. We were there for the fish fry and although they have limited table space the wait was long. We opted for the 20 minute wait for the to go option and found a table upstairs. They provide a thingy that vibrates when your order is ready so you can walk around the market. Let me just say, the size and quality of the fish was impressive compared to some places. I know many restaurants have cut their portions due to supply chain issues and costs, but they did not skimp! The breading to fish ratio was perfect. It comes with a huge portion of fries, TWO containers of tartar sauce (very good btw) and a small container of okay slaw. The only thing not included was bread, which was fine. The portion was large enough that we saved some for leftovers and they heated up nicely in the air fryer. The price was only $12.50 and they have the fish fry available every day. I highly recommend it and will be back again!

Melissa Q.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious blackened catfish po boy. The sauce on this was delicious. The blackening spice on the fish was perfect. There was heat on this without it being overwhelming. And the bread was sturdy to hold up against the sauce, but still so soft. Located in the Milwaukee public market definitely worth trying. Staff were fast and quick. Even seating for this location but it's limited, but there is seating upstairs too for all vendors
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and service. Everything inside of the public market was awesome! Highly recommend!

Yelp
While visiting Milwaukee, I came across the Public Market and decided to pop-in and came across St Paul Fish Company. Here are my ratings: Quality of food: good. I got a to-go order of fried perch sandwich and a side of clam chowder. The clam chowder was one of the best chowders I have ever had. It was piping hot, full of potatoes and clams, and was perfectly seasoned. The sandwich was also full of toppings and fresh veggies piled on crispy fried perch. Décor: pretty neat. They probably occupy the biggest area of the Public market and have neat neon signs and displays everywhere making you really feel like you're at a fishing company. Cleanliness: good. The tables were being constantly cleaned. Service: good. The cashier lady was super nice and went over the menu and answered my questions. Price: a bit more than expected. The sandwich was $14 and the chowder was $5. If you're in the mood for some good fresh tasting seafood in Milwaukee then definitely checkout St Paul Fish Company.

Yelp
I highly recommend eating here when visiting the Milwaukee public market! It's in the corner of the market with seating next to the restaurant and open seating upstairs. We got the lobster roll with a side of coleslaw and fries, and a clam chowder as well. The lobster roll came with a buttery bun and extremely fresh and flavorful lobster fillings. The side of fries and coleslaw paired really well with this entree and the clam chowder warmed us up from the cold weather outside. The food came out fast as we ordered takeout and sat upstairs with open seating. I would definitely come here again to try more of their entrees!

Yelp
Amazing across the board. For not being on the ocean, this is some of the best seafood you'll find, full stop. Sit at the bar, grab something cold, and enjoy watching these pros shuck the heck out of oysters. Highly recommend the Maine Lobster Roll (cold). Can't wait until my next MKE visit; I may eat here daily.
google avatar

Yelp
Upon entering the Public Market, it was overwhelming to see so many people and so many vendors selling their food to you to miss that I needed to register to sit in the dining area. Once you do able to find where to RSVP a table, you are given a vibrating tablet to notify you that your number is up to sit down. The wait was around 30min which gives you enough time to walk around once. After 30 min I was able to sit and look over the menu and 80% of the items are mostly fried so I ordered the steam clams which was delicious with a bowl of seafood gumbo. The prices was reasonable but the taste was out of the world. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
We came right when they opened on a weekend and got a table right away. Tables filled up very quickly. Our order was taken but the last to come out. Bouillabaisse was delicious and very flavorful. It included mussels, clams, fish, shrimp, and squid. The squid was kind of tough though. The clam tacos were okay. The public market gets very crowded so it will be very loud.

Yelp
Cruisin thru the public market, sportin your Harley Davidson and/or Brewers gear and looking for some good eats? Well you wouldn't be alone because that's pretty much everyone else in the entire frickin market. Being first timers thru Milwaukee we were looking for some good grub while on a self guided walking tour thru the city. We shot from the hip, checked good ol' yelp for confirmation of the goodness and landed at St. Paul Fish Company. I'm still feeling some major Happy Days/Fonzarelli vibes after hanging out with the Bronz Fonz...if you know, you know. Well, It didn't disappoint folks. Shrimp cocktail...bam! Lobster roll...boom! Shrimp po boy...Aaaahhhhhhyyyyyy (enter thumbs here). It's got seating, you can be waited on, and most importantly it's absolutely delish. St. Paul Fish Company...I'm cool, your cool, let's be cool together. Eat up.

Yelp
St Paul Fish Company is a market + restaurant located inside the Milwaukee Public Market in Downtown Milwaukee. It's a fresh, busy, exciting, and a must visit if you're visiting down town Milwaukee. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars Atmosphere - During my summer visit to Milwaukee, the weather was beautiful, and the Milwaukee Public Market was packed. St Paul Fish Company inherits this energy, and it was busy, crowded, full of people. There's a separate seating area for the restaurant, but we ordered our food To Go and sat outside in the warm sunshine. 1 Star. Service - The staff at St Paul Fish Company is very efficient. If you want to wait for a table, you put your name down. Otherwise, there are two lines to order your food to go. You order, pay, they give you a buzzer, and when it goes off your food is ready. But it's also a fresh seafood market. Make eye contact with the staff behind the counter and order some fresh seafood if you like. 1 Star. Food - Everything is super fresh. My companion's lobster roll had was filled with a generous serving of lobster. It towered above the toasted roll. But my go to was the Oyster Po-boy. Good bread? Check. Fresh veggies? Check? Tangy spread? Check. Tons of fried oysters? Check mate. While I may have been in Milwaukee, my po-boy tasted like it came from Louisiana. The very generous portions of oysters kept falling out, a bonus because I would snatch them up quickly. The po-bay came with forgettable fries, but that's ok. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Now a return to St Paul Fish Company is really a return to the Milwaukee Public Market. There are tons of venders selling everything from vegan ice cream to classic Italian dishes. I'll be back for everything. 1 Star.

Yelp
I was staying at a hotel in the 3rd Ward and looking for an easy dinner place. The public market had a lot of variety so I walked through. St. Paul Fish had no available seats, a good sign, so I got the Schlitz battered cod fry and fries and a beer to go, and went up to the second floor for a quiet table and to people watch. The Cole slaw was good, but the cod was amazing. Squeeze a little lemon in it and it was having it in Boston. Warm, flaky fish with a crispy batter. And the fries were hot and crisp. I usually have them with a little catsup but these were great as-is. A hoppy IPA went down smooth as well. So go to St. Paul's and either get a table or do To Go, it's great food.

Yelp
The food here is awesome in every way. Ate here 3 times while in town. When in doubt remember these 2 words, LOBSTER ROLL......you can thank me later

Yelp
OMG! The New England Lobster Roll is out of this world, very tasty and fresh. Service was great. Food got ready quickly. Loved the food.

Yelp
This is my go-to spot in Milwaukee. I always know the food is going to be fresh and delicious. I get the fish dinners, huge portions for the price!! I recommend sitting at the bar, it's a fun environment. The servers are so attentive and have great recommendations. Snag a spot when you can, it's usually full but worth the wait. Love their weeknight deals. Their $1 oysters on Thursdays are actually $1.75 but still worth it. Great fish fry on Fridays, too. Order salmon crack for the table, named salmon crack for a reason. My favorite dinner is the Atlantic Salmon. The fruit salsa and vegetables are a great pairing. You also can't go wrong with the Lobster roll, the roll is delectable!! Wash it all down with their famous Margarita, so good.

Yelp
Fantastic seafood! Fried clams are great. The blue point raw oyster were very fresh. The hot peel and eat shrimp were perfect! Great place to bring a customer or spouse. I'm coming back!

Mary G.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service, wonderful staff and a really great time at excellent prices.

Yelp
Nestled in the opening of the Public Market, St. Paul's has a small dining area. It's small but the tables are spaced well. Service by Carolyn was friendly, helpful, and attentive. She was wonderful. Word to the wise, skip the soups - chowder and gumbo. They are ok, average at best, and not worth filling up on. Fried oysters were amazing and easily enough for 3. The fried Walleye was spectacularly good - lightly fried with a great flavor. It comes with homemade coleslaw and perfect fries. The Walleye was a very large piece of fish and we split it.
google avatar

James O.

Yelp
This place has the best fried clams I've had anywhere. Consistently good. Be advised of its location in the Milwaukee Market. This isn't a quiet place (not that there is a quiet place in the market), and is high traffic as it is right by an entry point. So if you need a quiet place, this may not be the place for you. The clams and oysters are worth it.

Martin B.

Yelp
Lively oyster bar with a great lobster tail and shrimp bloody mary. Six excellent raw oyster selections, fish tacos, and PEI steamed mussels in garlic wine broth. Bought some scallops to take home from their extensive fresh seafood collection.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
I've been here a few times while laying over in Milwaukee and I love the Walleye Fish Fry on Fridays. Great portions and great price. This place is always busy but attentive to you needs. Tonight I decided to grab a quart of clam chowder and take it back to the hotel to eat. I have a passion for chowder and try it almost every city I'm in. St Paul's chowder was decent but didn't grab me. It barely had any clams and looked like a bunch of potatoes and broth with celery. It wasn't the worst I've had but nowhere near top 10 either. Not bad for the price but I'd stick with the walleye.

Yelp
Had food at St. Paul fish company yesterday. The lobster roll was good but crab cakes came up short. Called the manager to ask for my reciept the following day (they printed out a receipt that wasn't itemized) and was met with a really bad attitude and hurried off the phone. Not sure if the new normal is to deny customers their Reciepts but I guess it is here?

Yelp
Soooo- oyster Thursday's are becoming a weekly thing now. How have I never known St. Paul's Fish Company in the Public Market does 1$ oysters on Thursday?! Anything seafood- count me in. Me and my friend devoured about a dozen each and they hit the spot! I love that they serve the horse radish in a clam shell. How cute! The blue Virginia oysters were the only ones that were 1$ but they had 5 other oyster options for a small up charge. The blue Virginia we're delicious! So fresh and serve on ice and pretty big! They also had all the cocktail sauce, Tabasco, malt vinegar and lemons you could need! So perfect. The blackened tilapia po boy was to die for. Seasoned perfectly and had a delicious aioli on it that took it to the next level. The fries were good too and extra pickles for the win. The staff was quick and accommodating so it was a perfect cap to a happy hour meal! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I'll definitely be trying their Bay Breeze cocktail next time as well. Looked so yummy and tropical! Catch me here every Thursday 4-8!

Yelp
This is what seafood dreams are made of! THE spot to get your fix on freshly prepared food that is not easily found in the Midwest. All of their fish & seafood is flown in regularly, and it shows by the fresh taste of their food. I'm normally someone who tries something different each time I go out to eat, but at St Paul I always get the same-Buffalo grouper cheeks & steamed clams. My bf got the lobster roll this visit. We arrived right at opening time and there were plenty of people already seated for lunch. There was only one server for the entire area, service was thorough and we were checked on periodically. We're lucky to have such a gem of a seafood restaurant in MKE!
google avatar

Masha V.

Yelp
Located inside the Milwaukee Public Market, this adorable fish market is a must! The seafood is so fresh and delicious, I've never had anything bad here and my coworkers love this place as well. My favorite orders are blue point oysters, clam chowder, fish fry, calamari and snow crab boil (which is well over a pound of crab!). Super cute ambiance- very islander vibe and the service is fast and friendly! Don't have time to dine-in? Grab some seafood made to-go or some seafood to make at home! They have everything your seafood lover needs. I always make sure to come here when I'm in town for work, it's that good.

Yelp
Great fresh seafood!!! We went on a Saturday afternoon and was able to grab a seat at the bar. It was crowded so we were lucky. The oysters were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend getting the clam strips as well.

Yelp
Delicious fish!! Enjoyed the food and beverage options, it was prompt in a fun atmosphere, and the service was friendly!

Yelp
We have been going to St. Paul's Fish Market for over 10 years. It remains our number place to have a great fish dinner. Less than half the price of fish dinners at expensive restaurants, higher quality and better flavor. Stop in and say hi to the crew.

Yelp
Quality, price point and portion size can't be beat - the food here rocked my socks off. The lobster roll was incredible and the broth in bouillabaisse was super fragrant and fennel forward. The amount of seafood in the bouillabaisse shocked both my partner and I and we both agreed that this was the best meal of the day. It was also fun to sit at the counter and soak in the hustle and bustle of Milwaukee Public Market.

Tricia C.

Yelp
Excellent food! Very fresh. Never had a calamari filet and was amazing. Perfectly done. Our server, Patrick, was very friendly and attentive

Yelp
When I'm in Milwaukee, I always stop at Milwaukee Public Market. While there are so many food choices, we've never made it past this one getting a lobster roll and fried cod fish basket. Both come with fries and Cole slaw. Service is speedy and food is fresh and tasty. While the lobster roll can't compare to those in Maine, it's pretty darn good.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything!! Always amazing food, no matter what your order. Great staff, friendly and always accommodating. Super clean! Love to watch the bus person take his job seriously as does a great job.

Yelp
Amazing spot for seafood! Feels expensive to sit in a not so nice restaurant, but look past the atmosphere and give it a chance because the food is to die for. Service is always great too!

Yelp
Great service, better food, dining inside is great for an intimate date, dining in the tiki bar is great for vibes and classic music. I go there once or twice a week. I wish I owned it.

Yelp
Went to St. Paul fish company in Mequon! My friends and I have passed through the public market admiring the lobster roll- it was about time we tried it ourselves! The lobster roll lived up to the hype! We loved it! We also had the crab cake sandwich which was enjoyed. When looking at the menu it was hard to choose as there are many great options! We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu. In other news, the decor is on theme! The service was good, even when the restaurant was quite busy!

Yelp
This place had such amazing food and it was also really affordable! We absolutely loved our food and the service was great too. Every food item comes out of the kitchen really quickly. Our server was great at recommending items for us newbies. FYI: It gets VERY busy here and there is limited seating, so chances are you'll be waiting for a while unless you come right when they open - then you can get seated right away! No reservations accepted. If there's a wait it's no big deal though since you can just walk around the rest of the market until your buzzer goes off.

Yelp
Excellent dinner as usual. Service nice and cool vibes! The fresh savage' blonde oysters from Prince Edward Island (PEI) were superb, the sea scallop dinner buerre blanc and the wild caught Atlantic salmon were delicious! Walleye dinner 1/2 pound was as fresh and tasty as you can get!

Yelp
This place was rocking when we stopped by! We were pleasantly surprised when the wait time was only 15 minutes and we were able to get a table. The atmosphere is pretty cool. It's open space in the public market so there's quite a bit of hustle and bustle. The decor is (shockingly) nautical. There's a fish counter right nearby so you can by fresh fish too. The service was friendly but a bit lacking. I was missing the salmon crack from my drink and the server was super apologetic and went to go get it.... And didn't come back. We had to politely remind her again and she did come back with it, no big deal. But she also never checked on us, tried to refill our drinks, or anything like that. Which was a shame, because my bloody Mary was delicious and I would have been sold on another! For appetizers, my partner and I started with Buffalo Grouper Cheeks ($11.95) and a calamari steak ($12.95). The grouper cheeks were perfectly cooked and the sauce was the perfect amount of heat. I had never had a calamari steak before and was excited to try. It was soft and not rubbery at all, and it was encrusted with a parmesan mix and in a sauce with lemon. It was so good and we'd definitely order both again. For mains, my partner had the Salmon Rockefeller sandwich ($14.50). The salmon was well cooked and delicious. I had the Peri-Peri Mahi Mahi sandwich ($12.95) and it was a perfect amount of spice, heat, char and flavor. Both sandwiches came with a pickle and a bag of potato chips. I also had a bloody mary that came topped with lobster, salmon, and a bunch of other goodies and it was absolutely delicious and dangerous because I could have kept drinking them. This was a cute lunch date spot with fresh food and a busy, friendly atmosphere.

Yelp
Best Lobster Rolls around! Great place to grab some delicious seafood downtown. They also have a good rotating selection of oysters that never miss. I definetely recommend if you're looking for a great place to grab some seafood in a no fuss place. Its fun to grab a seat in the public market with all the hussle and bustle around and enjoy some good seafood.
