Visiting from Melbourne, Australia and this is my second time here. When in Milwaukee and enjoy seafood, St. Paul Fish Company is a must. Nestled inside the Milwaukee Public Market, this place is what seafood lovers dream about—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. But be warned: the word is out, and this spot is popular. Expect a bit of a wait during peak hours, but trust me, it's time well spent. You can either people-watch, admire the seafood counter, or plan your dessert strategy for later (pro tip: you will want dessert and I cannot recommend the Freesies chocolate on site).
Now, let’s talk food. The clam chowder and Maine Lobster roll so delicious you’ll be dunking every last piece of bread into it like it's your job.
St. Paul strikes that perfect balance between casual and top-tier quality. The staff knows their seafood, and you can taste the care they put into every dish. It’s a place that makes you want to linger, even after you’ve cleared your plate. And since you're at the Public Market, you can grab a chocolates and sausages and more seafood on your way out—because, let’s be honest, you’re going to wish you had more when you get home.
Final verdict? If you’re in Milwaukee and don’t eat at St. Paul Fish Company, you’re doing the city wrong.
