"Much of Alameda’s modern history lies in the now-defunct Naval base on the west end of the island. Local favorites like Almanac Beer Co. and St. George Distillery have called Alameda Point home for years. The Rake at Admiral Maltings features over 20 beers and spirits, all made with their hand-turned malt, plus a food menu that features applewood smoked barbecue. If wine flights are more your speed, walk over to Building 43, Urban Legend, or Dashe Cellars.
