"Stacked Sandwich Shop originally opened in 2017, offering sandwiches like oxtail French dips and turkey Reubens. It closed in 2021 as Pascuzzi focused on other ventures and reopened in 2023 with a streamlined menu. However, due to high labor and goods costs, the shop will close again and be replaced by Tip Top Burger Shop." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
"Top Chef alum Gabriel Pascuzzi’s oxtail French dip, which diners dunk into rosemary jus, put Stacked on Portland’s radar back in 2017. The oxtail is braised for 48 hours until it’s melt-in-your-mouth tender and paired with mushrooms and melty Havarti. Plenty of other sandwiches on the menu are equally worth an order, from the Korean fried tofu to specials like Oregon bay shrimp rolls. Stacked closed its original location in 2021 — the second coming of the sandwich shop shares a space with Pascuzzi’s grain bowl restaurant, Feel Good." - Alex Frane, Janey Wong

"Top Chef: Portland alum Gabriel Pascuzzi recently reopened Stacked Sandwich Shop, in a shared space with the second location of his grain bowl spot Feel Good. Stacked returns with its greatest hits, including the popular oxtail French dip, smoked turkey Reuben, and turkey-bacon hero. New sandwiches, like the roasted pork coppa with provolone and the green curry fried chicken sandwich with fish sauce, are worth venturing away from the stalwarts, however. At Feel Good, customers choose from a variety of bases, including mixed greens, cauliflower rice, red quinoa, or brown rice, with add-ons like Ota tofu or Mary’s poached chicken breast. The bowls themselves are intricate and creative, like the Painted Hills with charred broccoli and pineapple, plus jalapeno cilantro vin." - Alex Frane, Maya MacEvoy
