The 11 Best Breakfast Restaurants In Miami

"Stadium Diner is a Miami Gardens diner that gets its name due to its proximity to Hard Rock Stadium. So keep it in mind if you’re looking for somewhere to eat before or after a Dolphins game. But it’s also just a great diner. Service is quick, the menu will take you 90 minutes to read, and the interior is pure nostalgia, with walls covered in old-school Miami sports memorabilia. There’s counter seating for solo diners and bouncy booths for bigger groups. We like the lunch items a bit more than the breakfast dishes—particularly the patty melt—although they do make the best diner pancakes we’ve had in Miami." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

The 13 Best Old-School Diners and Greasy Spoons in South Florida | Eater Miami

"While Broward seems to have the lion’s share of Greek diners in South Florida, Miami certainly won’t let itself fall off the map. This Miami Gardens hidden gem serves up solid Greek standards along with American comfort classics. Its signature sandwich, Yanni’s Favorite, is certainly a draw: grilled rye bread stuffed with pastrami, sauteed veggies, hot sauce, and melted Swiss cheese." - Eater Staff

Google
The food was very average at best. My main gripe was the waitress asking how much of a tip we were leaving. I said 10%, as she had to add it on to the bill. The manager charged my card and came back with it and a revised receipt where she altered the tip to take out more. That for me is a big no-no. You can't do that. And thats a customer lost.

Google
Great service, waitress made me feel like family and attended to my needs. Didn't wait long would recommend to anybody and everyone to come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Google
Ive been coming here for years. This place is great. Family owned. The service is the best. Portions are better than the nearby waffle house. Highly recommend. All staff is friendly

Google
Completely cozy! Service good, food excellent. The people it’s so nice, Maria and the front guy are very friendly. Of course I will be back.

Nina Sharae

Google
1st time there after living in the area for 5 years. I will return back to try other items in the menu. I was craving a breakfast sandwich and didn’t feel like cooking. This is exactly how my sandwich would have looked like at home.

Mary 'Cookie' Dill

Google
Experience: Waitress doesn't realize the omelet comes with cheese ... the salt is old ... lol Servers not aware that the taste of Shrimp+Grits is in the gravy too!! #Bahamians Results: Vege frattada ... NO RETURNS HERE!

Google
Nice place, delicious dishes.. The waitress was always smiling and caring. She was was and helpful too. could be a bit more cleaner. My table was not very clean when I arrived. But I would still go there again.

After many times driving past this restaurant, I finally made a stop at Stadium Diner, and I regret not coming here earlier! The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the food was amazing. I will definitely be returning to Stadium Diner for multiple occasions.

Yelp
Classic Americana. Had not been to a proper diner in ages. The Homestyle Fries were phenomenal! The freshly squeezed OJ, perfection. I had the tomato feta omelette, while my husband had the Texas French Toast 2 Eggs Bacon & Sausage. Service was prompt, and friendly. I loved the 50-60s playlist, and the overall feel of the place. Is it the most elegant spot? No. But it is the neighborhood spot where the waitresses know their regulars' name and order, and that is something most spots simply don't have.

Yelp
Home cooking at its best!!! We haven't been here in more than 10 years. Don't make the same mistake we did counting this place out. When you've tried so many different breakfast places and they just don't taste like home cooking. Well we are back and so glad that we walked back in this place. Just like coming home. Everyone knows each other. The old G's are still coming in enjoying this staple restaurant. Some of the original employees are still here. I was so happy to see them. Clean, inviting, great service and home cooking that warms your whole soul. Prices are just right. Absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The Stadium Diner is one of Miami's most iconic restaurants still around today, this diner is one of the best restaurants to have breakfast at, very old school and they have best southern breakfast in town. If you haven't eaten here before you should definitely come check it out, the food is delicious, service is excellent and you will definitely enjoy everything here.

Yelp
In for a late breakfast on a Friday at 12. Wanted a break from my usual 2+2+2+2. ORDERED: 2 eggs with home fries and baked ham. $10.50 Coffee $2.85 Everything cooked just right. Service is always good. I would order this again.

Yelp
After many times driving past this restaurant, I finally made a stop at Stadium Diner, and I regret not coming here earlier! Vintage diner. Another Miami hidden Gem. This place is rich in history. The staff is attentive, warm and caring. I only had breakfast, pancakes and eggs. Cooked perfectly and tasted great. They have plenty of booth seating, as well as counter service. Plenty of parking out front
google avatar

Yelp
Heard they had good pancakes, went and gave them a try...found to be pretty good. Had a side of sausage links and large diet coke. Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent.... Only minus one, I sat under the A/C vent... pretty cold. The lighting was bright.

Jordan S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Great food, great service, great prices. Husband had French toast with eggs and sausage and a side of grits, and I had pancakes and eggs. All delicious. Iced coffee was probably the best I've had in South Florida. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I just received my order from Uber eats. on the plus side, fairly quick, packaged well and good portions. but food quality really poor. this was my first order with them. I normally add salt to my food but the corned beef hash had so much salt, after one taste, couldn't eat anymore. the Caesar salad chopped up and had been sitting in dressing too long, a soggy mess, the spinach pie reheated too many times and burned on the bottom and soupy inside. what a disappointment. Even with the Uber discount, expensive and not worth it.

Yelp
Food great, excellent service and we love visiting Miami and stopping in the diner for bread or lunch

Yelp
First time here, but it won't be the last for sure! Maria was an excellent host, greeted me, and seated me quickly while making sure my coffee was on the table. The food was piping hot and delicious! Until next time young lady Salute'

Yelp
Come on guys we love you, your the Stadium Diner, the Diner for the whole stadium; it's been the same since the 90s. Use lighter cleaning supplies, renovate the place and bring light in, and for the love of God get organic eggs and good quality stuff! Dress like you guys care about yourself, the place, and the hospitality you have to give. I know you guys have potential, bring it out! Local here, almost before they took the land. Seriously, appearance can ruin someone appetite, and I'm talking about not only the place, but the employees. With love and without ill intentions, hope to have a better experience soon. (Grandparents introduced me YEARS ago)

Sandra G.

Yelp
Unlike most diners, this isn't just simple breakfast and lunches. They serve gourmet dishes with specials every day. From Greek salads, lasagna, and today's special, Chicken in a wine sauce with rice sautéed with herbs and mushrooms, excellent. Service and staff also excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
Do NOT eat here. It was absolutely disgusting inside and food. The place is filthy!! I mean filthy . Something died in the womens room. The booths are dirty and the table wood is sticky as all heck! The window sill was dirty and nothing on the tables are clean. Everything from the napkin holder, salt, pepper etc is not cleaned ever. I was so creeped out by everything !! They all are wearing masks too. so stupid. Then the touch their maks and pull it down and back up - geez. Really? Get the face diaper off. The coffee was some mud water and undrinkable. The areas of floor and under booths and the bathroom door were skeevy. The dust on the ceiling - gross. My husband said the mens room had drain flies. And I can go on and on. It's literally the scum of the earth here. Then we watch the owner leave and get in her Audi. WTF. Put some money into your place and renovate. You should be ashamed of yourself. There is no way anyone should ever stop here. Ever.

Tanya K.

Yelp
Don't judge this book by it's cover - I am now obsessed with Stadium Diner and will come back to visit any time I come to Miami! Classic diner food done right + some of the sweetest and kindest motherly service out there! Maria makes you feel like a guest in her home. She offers tables of different temperatures depending on your preference - want to be right by the a/c? No problem. Prefer not to be freezing like every other restaurant in Miami? She's got a warmer table for you. The fresh squeezed OK mimosa is a dream and the perfect start to any day. Our server Rashae was also so wonderful - her smile and kindness light up the room. Perfect service exists at Stadium Diner!

Yelp
After a long weekend at The Hard Rock this was the exact breakfast I needed!!! We got a breakfast bagel and hash browns that were both sooooo good. Also got the French toast to share and so happy we did. Such a good breakfast spot and can't wait to make this a go-to every time I come up from Miami

Yelp
I ordered on Saturday from Uber eats got a message 20 minutes later that the fool was done when I arrived at the stadium diner diner the lady asked for my name I gave it to her and she said the order was not ready I'd have to wait a while so 20 minutes went by and I and I asked again and one of the ladies that was dealing with the food in the back was very rude She was cursing saying I had to F oh F wait and she key she kept fussing in the back the cashier came

Yelp
Staying in town on vacation. Our group was looking for some classic diner food and we stumbled upon this place. Good prices, good portions and very good food. Service was good and everyone was very nice! We went two days in a row for breakfast because everyone liked it so much.

Linda K.

Yelp
Ok so we have eaten here like 4 times. This is about the only place you can find a hot open faced turkey sandwich. Well the first time we thought wow that gravy is pretty salty, but we though let's give a couple more tries. Well today was the last straw. It was so salty my son would not even eat his. I told him mine was salty but I was too hungry to care. When we left I told the owner/manager we would not be back that the food was too salty. He said when you come back again let him know. I told him we would never come back again. He really didn't respond very well. It's too expensive to eat out and not enjoy your meal. What a shame if someone would actually care this could be a great place to eat. They need to do some quality control and make some changes or they will out of business soon. There are literally no good restaurants anymore. I miss the Miramar diner.
google avatar

Vanette S.

Yelp
This is my "Go-To" diner on Sunday morning/afternoon. I LOVE THIS PLACE! The owner is nice and friendly and so are the waitresses. They are always helpful and friendly. Thanks for being part of the community!
google avatar

Damian H.

Yelp
Excellent sunday breakfast joint. Location is great, right on 441 and Ives dairy rd. Parking available and take out also. i recommend the country fried steak with hashborwn and fried eggs. Pancakes were sweet and the texture soft and moisty. Really good place to start your monday.

Francine S.

Yelp
Back in the day, we used to eat here weekly when we lived in Miramar. My daughter was at the DMV clo so I went for a late breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs w bacon, grits and toast. Grits were flavorless. Bacon was that pre- cooked plastic tasting bacon. Very average food. A bit overpriced. Nothing to write home about. Average average average
google avatar

Donald D.

Yelp
Sitting at the main counter having eggs bacon hashbrowns rye toast and coffee Super Bowl 54 Sunday great staff like Alice and Linda always friendly and friends come here to eat and spend a little time together
google avatar

Rick M.

Yelp
Will not be returning here at all. The breakfast here is horrible. Service is great as well as the people working there but the food is nothing to talk about. Shortly after eating my stomach didn't except what I was eating as food. Waffle had a strange taste, potatoes not even lightly salted, same with the eggs. The only decent thing was the turkey patties and the cup water. I give them 2 stars only because of the great staff. This place needs a major upgrade.

Ash K.

Yelp
i've been living in miami for 22 years and never came to stadium diner. i don't stay too far from the place but never cared to go inside..... I'm so disappointed in myself. This place is in the heart of miami gardens not too far from the stadium serving some good diner food. i've only had the biscuits & gravy and it's good as hell.
google avatar

SHAWNA H.

Yelp
10/26/18 first time eating here, coming to MIAMI often. Husband put me on this spot. Good food, like going to your best friend's house for breakfast or dinner. Smothered pork chops(onion gravy) w/ grits & scrambled eggs. My husband had country fried chicken steak w/ gravy, grits, eggs also. Sorry no pics(started eating)
google avatar

Reba G.

Yelp
Good cheap breakfast spot. I passed by the place a lot, mentioned it to a friend that lives in NY. He advised me that they were good, so I gave it a try & didn't regret it.
google avatar

Gina Y.

Yelp
Maria is awesome. Been coming here with my parents for years. A great local spot. Good home made desserts as well. All the staff are very nice.
google avatar

Brittney W.

Yelp
Found the perfect place to soak up all the alcohol from NYE festivities at the Stadium Diner. It's another restaurant that's been around for ages that I kept wanting to try but always drove past. I stopped... err... stumbled in with a serious hangover and a craving for a good, hearty, breakfast. I was greeted with a smile from the hostess and she directed me to the counter since I wanted to order my food to-go. The woman who took my order, was very attentive and kind. But one minor pet peeve of mine is servers who stand over me while I browse the menu. Sometimes I need a good 5-10 minutes to figure out exactly what I want, and I feel rushed when the server stands there staring at me with the pen and pad ready. Besides that, I couldn't have been more satisfied with my first experience there. I ordered pancakes (not as good as IHOP but still good), corned beef hash, grits, scrambled eggs and toast. All very good, and NOT because I was hungover, either!
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Great diner breakfast served fast and great friendly service. I order my usual biscuits with gravy which were delicious. My wife had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and that was also great. The coffee was really good too. My only complaint is that there were sugar ants on the table. Prices were ok. Our breakfast for two came up to $21.
google avatar

Natasha G.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast! I'm sure other items on the menu are very good but I'm too stuck on the corn beef hash (well done) or Georgia sausage (split/done very well) with grits and eggs! The owner Maria is always there and very pleasant! Alice, my go to waitress, she knows exactly how I like my food and coffee!

Jas W.

Yelp
The grits were bland and the omelette was hard. I'll pass on them unless I want broiled fish
google avatar

Danii A.

Yelp
I love the pancakes of this place. I think they are the most delicious I've tasted. the prices are very good and the people are very friendly.
google avatar

Krissy S.

Yelp
The service here was quick and the food was filling. I was seated as soon as I walked in and given water right away as the waitress waited for me to make a drink selection. The food arrived about 3-5 minutes after I ordered. I ordered a simple egg and toast sandwich and grits. The grits weren't as seasoned as I'd like but not so bad that I'd send them back. I'll definitely stop by again.
google avatar

S S.

Yelp
I was not happy with my meal. Restrooms are dirty and smelly. The food was ehh... and is ..VERY inconsistent. The waitresses are sweet.

Yvonne H.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years. So happy Maria the new owner is here the quality of food is by far better and all of the Greek food is out of this world.
google avatar

Sonia P.

Yelp
I was in the mood for breakfast and I decided to check out Stadium Diner. The food was pretty good. I had 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausages, and 2 pancakes. The pancakes were good but they could have been a little lighter for me. The eggs, bacon and sausage were great. The staff was very friendly. The only con that I have is that the menus felt very sticky. Aside from that, everything else at the restaurant was ok.
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
A total divey kip from the outside, a real surprise on the inside. Just like me :) Making ourselves avail of some free time as a family over the holidays was our goal this year for 2009 into 2010. More than anything, breakfast is what pulls us together as a family. Yeah some love the whole relaxed dinner thing, but not us. We have discovered that once we get up and dressed and OUT THERE, more than likely we won't go home until later in the afternoon. Living in the North Miami area for the past 12 years I can't even count the number of times I've passed Stadium Diner and wondered "is it open?" " is it a biker joint?" and more importantly "is the food any way good". Inside the place is very sports oriented as it should be being located so close to Joe Robbie...oh I mean Dolphin...oh shoot, is it Landshark Stadium? Well, the morning we went we got good solid diner food. The service was lacking though. We sat for a good 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order but thankfully the crys of "I'm HONGRY now mom" were dispelled by the tableside jukebox that kept the boys occupied, and it gave us a chance to have a good look at the very extensive menu. I love how they have the Greek staples available here. Everyone ate plenty and the check was reasonable. The waitress was super friendly and very attentive. The owner was present and overseeing everything and the place was really busy with locals (waitresses calling them by name, shooting the breeze and generally being like family)...always a good sign Bathrooms were clean and stocked, parking is plentiful. Don't let appearances deceive.
google avatar

Yelp
The is the place to go for the diner breakfast experience. If you like a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns etc, then you will be happy here. There is lots of memorabilia on the walls, and lots of booth seating. The place is bright with windows that let the natural light inside, which I am a big fan of. I have noticed that these kind of places are slowly dying in the area which is a real shame. We do love our traditional breakfast spots, but I do suggest you don't order what I did, and get the Eggs Benedict. That was disappointing, but I wasn't really expecting them to surprise me here. It's a diner, and I have yet to have a diner do Eggs Benedict right. I am guessing canned Hollandaise sauce here, but I was just not in the mood for eggs and bacon that day, so I gave it a shot. The servers were on top of their game with the coffee refills and knowing which items were available and which weren't. The food was ready fast and everyone was happy with the food (of course except me), which gave us time to eat and catch up on our gossip and football picks. I noticed that they have a take-out area, and thought that would be cool to grab some grub before heading over the the Stadium . They seem to have a good handle on the traditional favorites, so we will keep this place in mind for those days also.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
It's diner food, but heavily Greek influenced. The owners are Greek, and there is a lot of Greek stuff on the menu. The food is just what 3 stars says... okay. But it's a place where everybody knows your name (you know you just sang that part). It's quick and decent and tradition.

Frank M.

Yelp
I have worked in Miami Gardens on 441 for 24 yrs The Sport Clinic physical therapy clinic. We ate here daily. My career has taken me to Doral However, while in the Gardens today, I had to eat at Stadium Diner New owner, same chef, same terrific server(linda). Food is still outstanding You cannot find food and service of this quality anywhere around here!!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
It's one of those places that have been around forever and a day. They know their customers, and remember what you order. You always get a smile as you enter or leave. So why the 3 stars? The food is just okay, nice selection; and they have Greek food which I always love, but it's all just okay. The other reason for the 3 instead of 4 stars is the price is a little high for the quality of the food. It is a good place to go if you are in a hurry, and just want something fast and easy that isn't actually fast food.
google avatar

Larry N.

Yelp
Place is filthy. Close to my work. Charged me $7.50 to fill my mug with ICED TEA! Nobody ever charges more than a dollar or so. Will never go there again. Will recommend people go ANYWHERE ELSE
google avatar

Elana M.

Yelp
Good diner for breakfast. Friendly service and average diner prices.
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
Loved this place! Very friendly staff and food was perfect diner style breakfast! Had to try the biscuits and gravy which did not disappoint and also was craving for a Belgian waffle which was perfect :) crispy on the outside and fluffy chewy inside. Our daughter loved her pancakes and hubby devoured his country fried steak with gravy. I've lived in the area for a few months now and am sorry I haven't been here sooner. Will definitely be back again

Cece S.

Yelp
I left my car for service, and decided to find somewhere to have breakfast. Found this place while walking to find a Starbucks or Einstein Bros (I doubt this neighborhood has neither one). Anyway, I recommend this place if you are looking for good old fashion taste breakfast from the South, very genuine and the waitress was very nice. I do have to say, the looks of it from the outside i would have never walked in. However, i couldn't find anything else other than McDonald's or Pollo Tropical. And my friend who was keeping me company on the phone just told me "Go in and see before u judge from the looks of it." Glad I listened Be coming back here for sure. :)
google avatar

Rachel N.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to check this spot out because we wanted breakfast and had driven by it so many times. Wow! Breakfast was delicious ! Food was hot and came to the table fast. Service was good too. We will be back for sure

William D.

Yelp
Amazing dishes and customer service. The dishes melt in your mouth and pop with flavor with the perfect textures and consistencies. The owner is very kind and caring about her customers new and old alike.

Ronald P.

Yelp
Went to the stadium Diner this morning for breakfast got the eggs benedict it was excellent service was also very very good I highly recommend you go there
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
This place is an old school diner. It feels old school and the menu is old school. Hell, the specials are hand written on paper with pen. This is standard diner food (burgers, sandwiches, etc). There is also some Greek food and some Italian food on the menu. I ultimately had the Caribbean chicken breast sandwich with the potato salad on the side. The sandwich, while simple, was tasty and properly prepared. The potato salad was great and I would strongly encourage you to get it if you come here. It was tangy and nicely textured. Just a nice side. Service was great and prices were cheap. A nice little place to grab a breakfast or lunch.
