The Best Coffee Bars in Los Angeles, According to Eater Editors | Eater LA

"The Korean-style cafe wave continues at Stagger Coffee, a minimalist coffee shop in a Koreatown strip mall. Mugs and other highly designed home goods line shelves at the front, which are set on stark white walls. The orange mocha and Spanish latte are specialties here, but for something less sweet, try the fizzy espresso tonic or just a classic cold brew. Watch out for the fresh-baked blueberry cream cheese muffins that come out of the kitchen in the morning. Stagger also serves a handful of croissants daily." - Mona Holmes

Google
The best matcha in LA!! I’ve been here a few times and the matcha does not disappoint. Great place to grab a coffee with friends or to study. I’ve also gotten the almond croissant and it was great, I was especially impressed by the filling inside.

Google
Honestly such a clever yet simple drink the double matcha is. This is going to be the drink that you and everyone else will be ordering when you come to Stagger. I first heard about this cafe from a friend who was in LA and she claimed it to be one of the best matcha drinks she’s ever had — she wasn’t wrong. I came on a late morning weekday and it took my order less than 5 minutes to be done. Reading from other reviews, I’m not surprised it takes longer for others since it’s so popular. However, the baristas welcome you with a smile, craft each drink carefully and efficiently. The modern decor and upbeat music make it a good place for a quick pick up stop or catch up with a friend. It’s a good sized place, but due to its popularity you’ll have to play with your luck to see if you’re able to snag a table. For those who love matcha, definitely pay Stagger a visit. Try their double matcha, I recommend less ice, or venture out to their other matcha drinks. Pair it with one of their yummy baked treats while you’re at it to compete your experience.

Very cute atmosphere. The line to order was a bit long, but the order came out right away. Overall the espresso was very smooth and had a nice profile. The matcha quality was also very nice. Drinks we got: Orange Mocha- This was not too sweet and had a nice flavor profile. This is a good flavor for someone getting into coffee. Floral No.1 [Jasmine milk tea w/ double shot]- I have had many "dirty" milk teas before, but this is the best. The jasmine flavor blended smoothly with the espresso. Matcha Latte- Perfectly sweet matcha latte. Very satisfying. Double Matcha - Same as matcha latte but with the tastiest matcha cream I have ever had. A lot of other shops have a copycat of this drink, but STAGGER is actually the originator! Both pastries were super crispy and tasty. The cashier drew a little cat on my bag :D so cute. Snacks we got: Blueberry Danish- Fresh blueberries were super tasty. The custard was very simple. Pesto Tomato Danish- The pesto on this was sooo good and the tomatoes were juicy.

Google
Very popular spot from what I’ve seen all over social media, and the foot traffic shows it. The vibe to the place is very minimalist but the decor is very well done. First coffee place where the spacing feels pretty big , there’s seating inside and outside! Oh yeah don’t forget a free sticker. As for the drinks I got the orange mocha and cream top. The cream top had a very delicious foam, I can see they put a lot of work into it. Sadly the coffee itself was lacking flavor , the foam carried the drink. The orange mocha wasn’t bad but not something I’d have to come back for. It taste like mocha should taste, not too sweet. The location is kind of rough, the parking lot fills fast! The staff was very nice and got drinks out in a timely manner for being busy!

Google
Delicious coffee and matcha shop. The creamtop drinks are luscious, essentially a dessert. Thick sweet cream floated on top of coffee or matcha drinks. By concensus, the matcha here is one of the best matchas our group has tasted. I recommend the double matcha drink with matcha cream floated on top of iced matcha drink. Nice pastries available too. The staff are friendly, with efficient order completion. The room is a pleasantly tall cube industrial style space. I highly recommend trying this shop.

Google
Average Americano but apparently their matcha is really good. This place is also so packed and prob not a good place to study unless u come early and grab a table. Their outdoor seating is currently closed

Google
Yeah this is the place to be! Lots of seating, lively environment, friendly service. Double matcha was delicious - half sweet was perfect. Would work to grab and go or to sit and study or chat with friends. Parking is tricky just be aware.

Google
I came here off Google reviews. I'm so happy I did. Line was out the door, but honestly, don't lose your patience. Took about around 15 minutes to get my drink. I didn't have the matcha drink. I don't like matcha, and I honestly just googled nearest coffee near me, and this happened to be it. I got their 🍊 Orange Mocha. It was good! It was one of the best iced coffees I've had in a while. I drank it so fast. I loved their 🧊 ice! This place was packed - good for takeout. waiting for a seat will probably take you a while.

Yelp
Went in on a Friday morning and the tables were all occupied, but the line was pretty short. I was able to find parking in the small lot. The inside has a minimalistic aesthetic aside from the coffee bar and the merch shelves. I got a double matcha, matcha latte, and cream top. The double matcha is solid, I would probably give it a 4.5/5. The matcha latte was pretty standard and still had a solid matcha flavor, so I'd give that one a 3.5/5. As for the cream top, I'd also give it a 3.5/5 as it was teetering on the bitter side with the addition of the cacao powder. The double matcha is a must order.

Yelp
Located in a compact corner strip mall, you'll need to deal with limited parking. Valet service started closer to noon on a recent Saturday. There were about 15 people ahead of me, but the line moved fairly quick. Here's what we ordered... Cream top (cold): Excellent Orange mocha (hot): Loved it. If you like citrus, you need to get this. Spanish Latte (hot): Very good The shop is modern looking, spacious with high ceilings. I did see one unisex bathroom was available. I hate going to places where parking is going to be a challenge, but it's worth it at Stagger.

Yelp
I caved and came to Stagger after hearing the rave reviews of the double matcha. The line seemed quite long but moved rather quickly. Sadly everyone is right that this place is GOOD! I was impressed at how the drink packed a real matcha flavor versus a fake sweetened version that most matcha places in koreatown have. It is definitely a tie between this double matcha or Airomas. I think the ambience inside (if you're able to find a seat) was also really nice! I could see it being a nice spot to study once it slows down. I shall be coming again!

Yelp
I've become that person who wants to check out all the trendy coffee spots in K-town, lol. So here I was, on a Saturday morning, waiting in line at Stagger to get the famous double matcha. And yes, it was not a let down. The double matcha was creamy and well balanced. Their coffee was good too, according to my coffee loving friends, that I ended up getting a bag as a gift for another coffee lover. The space is really cute, and inviting. I would love to come back to sip matcha, read, or do some work in this space. We were lucky that we got a parking spot in the lot, but visually I could tell that parking could be problematic. On a geeky note, I really dig Stagger's logo and its font.

Yelp
Bustling cafe with lots of tables and some outlets if you need to work or study. Pretty busy on the weekends, but it's kind of them to provide umbrellas for the sun if you're waiting in line out the door! I ordered a hojicha latte and it was a little grainy but the flavor was pretty decent. Their matcha latte had a strong matcha flavor but I felt that it was overpowered by vanilla syrup. 3.5/5 overall for what we had but I'd return to try their coffee next time!
google avatar

Angelene C.

Yelp
Great solid matcha. The double matcha will hit the spot if you're looking for a strong, quality matcha latte. Just be wary since this place is so popular, it's difficult to find seating, really long wait, and the parking is not free in the lot it is in. It's only a few bucks but just an fyi. However, the bathrooms are clean and the inside is minimalistic and simplistic with lots of light colors and natural sunlight coming in.

Yelp
Drinks come out really quickly after ordering. Stopped by around 9am and there were still a few seats left. I opted for the Hojicha Latte and my wife got the Double Matcha. 50% sweet for the Hojicha latte was perfect for me, as I don't like it overly sweet. There was quite a bit of ice in the drink, but the taste of the Hojicha was still prominent and it wasn't grainy at all. The double matcha was regular sweet and was definitely on the thicker side. It tasted almost like an ice cream. I also tried the Cream Top with an extra shot and also 50% sweet. As it is made with an americano, it wasn't my favorite compared to a latte. It did taste a bit cleaner and healthier than a traditional latte, though.

Yelp
My friend and I matcha hopped, and this was the top favorite of that day! I've been wanting matcha from Stagger ever since the double matcha craze took over my algorithm. And I'm so happy it's not overhyped! The matcha was so creamy and flavorful, not too sweet, not too bitter, not too watery. It was perfect, even the color was exactly what I am looking for in a matcha. Small line when we arrived but it moves pretty fast. The drinks also come out really fast. The space is pretty big, plenty of seating! We walked over from ktown but otherwise parking looks like it's valet here.

Yelp
4.5/5 I get the hype! Solid matcha spot! I came around 10:30pm on a Monday and there was no line. I got an iced Matcha Latte and a Double Matcha Latte. The Double Matcha definitely tasted better with the matcha cream. Most matcha spots do an iced matcha latte and it just tastes like milk but this be hitting the spot with how much matcha they add. I did notice there were some matcha blobs at the bottom though. I would love to do some WFH here if they had good seats but I fear my back would hurt from all of these plastic / metal chairs.

Yelp
I spent most of May exploring different matcha spots in search of the perfect cup. Stagger Coffee had been saved in my collections for a while, and I was determined to go after my good friend Elsie Y. told me it was the best matcha she's ever had. And I completely agree: Stagger Coffee is hands-down the best matcha spot in SoCal. When I finally got to try it, and ended up going twice within a week. My gateway into Stagger was their Matcha Latte, and honestly, this is the best matcha I've had. The green color is unmatched. So vibrant and earthy!! The matcha latte is incredibly creamy, perfectly balanced between sweetness and bitterness. The next time, I got the Double Matcha, which is their crowning jewel. The double matcha is rich and decadent, but a little heavy for me since I don't usually like cream and tend to prefer hot drinks over iced. But it is so delicious. Vegetal, bitter notes. The cream top is not sweet (where many go wrong), but incredibly luscious and amplifies the matcha aroma and taste. The deep, vivid green color is godly. They also offer Queen Crimson Tea, which is one of their most popular drinks for non-matcha drinkers. I've also ordered this twice for my cousin, who finds it very refreshing and tasty. They offer an assortment of curated pastries, including kouign amanns, spinach feta and pesto tomato pastries, almond yuzu croissants, and blueberry muffins. You can tell so much from a place by the brands they stock. There's a grab-and-go refrigerator stocked with Better Booch, Harmless Harvest coconut water, Minor Figures Oat Milk, and more. They also sell dog treats, and there's cute merch like mugs, canvas tote bags, and small plants. Free stickers (designs are rotated)!! The space has plenty of indoor seating, though it's mostly individual seats, a community table, and a long bench in the back. Parking has never been an issue for me. Valet is available (the lot gets messy), plus street parking nearby. I had to wait in line 20 min on a Sunday afternoon but no wait on weekdays. Double Matcha!! Double Matcha!! Double Matcha!! do not miss out:)

Yelp
You know everyone is coming here for MATCHA. I was hoping there wouldn't be a line, but it really depends on the time you come. Sometimes there's just a splurge of people that looks like a long line, and sometimes there's just no line lol. Although, there's actually a lot of people sitting inside. Mainly friends who are just chatting and it's pretty loud inside, so I personally would think it's not a great spot to do work haha. The tables are also pretty low too, so I feel like this cafe is better to just chit chat. Parking seems like it was valet only, even in the day time. Luckily I had a friend with me who was able to drop me off! I waited in line where it started from the outside, and luckily it moves by pretty efficiently. You know everyone is ordering the same thing here, so the workers are just cranking out matcha in the back haha. I was able to order 2 double matchas, and just a regular matcha latte. Right after I paid, they basically already called my name. Service is fast here! Now trying the matcha, it was really good!! The matcha is quite strong here and very aromatic. NOT WATERED DOWN. Looove the cream top as well. It's so delicious! Honestly may be the most authentic matcha latte I had around from a cafe.

Yelp
This is a very cute coffee shop located in Korea Town Parking was easy. There was a small valet parking for $3 and meter street parking. Inside was pretty small but had plenty of seating They're open daily 8am-4pm on weekdays and 8am-5pm on the weekends Menu had a good variety of matcha and coffee drinks. Prices were reasonable (~$7+ for most drinks). Most of the matcha drinks only come in one size (12 oz) and iced only! There are milk substitutions available but only oat or almond milk, for +$0.75. Service was friendly and my drink came out super fast! There was no line when I went at 3pm on Tuesday so my drink came immediately after ordering! Double Matcha ($7.50) was so rich, creamy, and delicious. The matcha is ceremonial quality so it was very high quality and not too sweet. Definitely one of the best matcha lattes I've had and trust me, I'm a matcha snob! Definitely recommend this spot if you love matcha and would return

Yelp
I heard about Stagger Coffee from TikTok, as another up and coming coffee spot in Ktown. I gave it try at around 11 AM on a Friday and it was very busy. There were tables inside that accommodated bigger groups, but those seemed to be taken the entire time I was there. There was also some seating on the side and back via stool. There was valet parking at the plaza, but I was able to find street parking and walk over. I did come here to get some work done. The WiFi was strong and reliable throughout my time there. However, it was loud because there was a lot of people. I definitely needed to use earphones to focus. I was still able to get a lot of work done! Lately, I've fixated on Hojicha lattes, so I did not hesitate to order one from Stagger. They had the option to get it with Almond milk, but it was 75 cents more. The cream top was sweet, but once mixed, it was my preferred amount of sweetness. It was a 8.5/10. I'll be coming back to try their matcha next! American Express is accepted.
google avatar

Yelp
Stagger is THE PLACE IN LA for an unforgettable matcha latte. Once you try their matcha, you'll understand why this place has such a loyal following. The matcha foam is unbelievably rich and decadent, with none of that harsh bitterness you sometimes get elsewhere. Every sip feels smooth, velvety, and deeply satisfying. Beyond the drinks, I'm obsessed with their branding and overall vibe. The café is super cute and aesthetic -- minimalist but warm -- and they even have a cozy little side alley seating area that's perfect for relaxing or snapping a quick pic. The only real downside is the valet situation; it can get a little chaotic just trying to grab a drink. But honestly, once you're sipping on that perfect matcha, it's hard to stay annoyed. Yes, the drinks are on the pricier side, but with quality matcha like this, it makes sense. You're paying for the real deal -- and it's absolutely worth it.

Yelp
Drinks are good. We got the double matcha and crimson queen. Double matcha wasn't super bitter and the thick cream at the top is reminiscent of avocado. Crimson queen was very refreshing. There's a good amount of seating and a little water station. Parking is a bit difficult but there is free parking in an enclosed parking lot next door. Clean minimalistic vibes with lots of mirrors.

Yelp
Rating: 8.5/10 Good quality double matcha in an aesthetic shop! Came with a friend on a Thursday around 1:45PM. Parking is slammed with valet monitoring it, so you have to pay if you want to park (as is the case for most plazas in LA). We didn't want to use parking, so I hopped in while my friend waited in the car on the street. The shop was really busy with every table filled with people studying or hanging out (I wouldn't recommend studying here though because it was pretty packed and loud inside). The line was also moderately long, about 10 minutes to order but the drinks came out quickly. Here's what we got: 1) Double Matcha: 8.5/10. A good solid quality matcha that wasn't too sweet and was smooth without clumps. The matcha foam adds more richness to the creamy latte. I didn't think this was the most addicting or complex or deep matcha drink that I've had, but it was good! I don't think I'd come back since the parking isn't great, and it's pretty out of the way for me. However, if a friend wanted to come, then I'd definitely tag along. I recommend you come try it for yourself and see what you think!

Yelp
The Double Matcha!! The Double Matcha, man! Get it! It's a great drink... I'd definitely go back because of their matcha. My girl got the Donut Latte and she said it was a winner, so we were really satisfied with our order. The service and team are A1... Friendly and really on top of things. The ambiance... the clientele, the location were all A1. The shop is really clean and spacious. They really know how to keep the revolving door moving 'cause they had things moving on a day where they were pretty busy. *Now... the only reason I can't give them The Yelp 5 Star Rating... PARKING. Parking isn't the best. I'd definitely come back but not on a weekend. I feel like it's too much of a hassle to do all that work to park for ANY type of drink... BUT! if I'm around and I see a parking spot... I'm coming in!! Thanks, Stagger Coffee!
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
Great quality and strong matcha! Plenty of tables and seats to lounge here. I got the double matcha and the matcha here is good quality. The cream top was creamy but the vanilla flavor was a bit too strong. Would prefer less vanilla flavor and more matcha. Small parking lot.
google avatar

Yelp
delicious matcha spot in ktown! im craving it again and wish I lived closer. i walked here from a friends apartment so didnt have to deal with parking but it looked like they have a small lot and spots can fill up fast. the double matcha was insanely good and creamy, i wish it came in a bigger cup lol and i also got the almond yuzu croissant, which was also delicious. it was so flaky and the yuzu flavor came through so well. i was nervous about having to wait long but on a Saturday early afternoon around 11, the line was out the door but we only really had to wait around 15 min to order and the drinks came out almost instantly so not a bad wait at all. the price is definitely a little high ($7.50/cup) so its a nice treat once in a while, i would absolutely come back~

Yelp
Stagger coffee in Koreatown. Parking was 3 bucks fyi. Came here for the matcha It was really good got the double matcha and matcha latte. Both well balanced very high quality matcha drinks. Not over sweetened. It was just right. This is my top 3 places for a matcha drink
google avatar

Vi H.

Yelp
Holy cow this matcha is amazing! I went on a sunday around 2 and there was a pretty long line, so I was a little intimidated about the wait, but the line moved super fast and I ended up only waiting about 10-15 minutes! Also upon ordering, the drinks were ready basically immediately, so service was very fast considering how busy it was! The double matcha is VERY hyped up, but upon trying it, I can definitely see why. It is probably the second best matcha I've ever had, and is only beat by community goods by a small margin. The matcha flavor is quite rich, the sweetness level is perfect, and the cream top is sooooo heavenly. There's actually a decent amount of seating inside, it's just super busy that even with all that seating, it's very hard to find seating. The double matcha is practically perfect though and I can not recommend it enough.
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out and see what the whole hype was about. Someone that is not a matcha fan, I can understand why this place is popular! Their match is quite creamy! My fav. Is the cream top! Creamy/ tasty! Ohh so good. Will def be back! Parking: small parking lot / street parking.
google avatar

Celine C.

Yelp
First time at Stagger and it definitely did not disappoint as a cafe. Service is fast and friendly. Minimal and clean aesthetics with not very comfortable chairs. I already had coffee in the morning so decided to try the double matcha that Stagger is known for. The double matcha blew my mind away. It tasted rich and creamy with a layer of lightly sweetened cream on the top. This definitely puts other matcha cafes to shame with their watered down matcha! The only things annoying are the $3 valet and difficulty in finding street parking around the area.
google avatar

Mario B.

Yelp
The hottest cafe in town, Stagger delivers on quality service, minimalist aesthetics, and matcha overload! First, the staff is amazing. They are friendly, efficient, and cheerful. The drinks get made super fast as they have their menu down to a science; there are no wasted movements and everything is choreographed to perfection. But even more importantly, they seem to be having fun there which keeps their spirits up. The place has its private parking lot (with tight spaces) but it can often be full. But if you know ktown, you already know the whole area can be a mess and parking can be a pain to find. Valet was $3 at the time but have seen the price vary a lot. The aesthetics are on point, minimalist and simple. The place is lovely for hanging out, getting work down, or even snapping some photos for social media. Keep in mind it's often busy and even on a random Tuesday morning you may find that there is no seating left. Lastly, the star of the show, and the one drink you absolutely have to order if you come here - the double matcha. It's what made this place famous and why now there are even dupes nearby. The flavor profile is on point and for most people it will be worth it. If I'm being honest, it's too sweet for my personal preference but I also recognize that's the trend with matcha drinks nowadays and they are just following the hype to appeal to the matcha girlies that started consuming it yesterday. Overall, if you are looking for a minimalist cafe with modern matcha drinks, this is the most trendy social media spot.

Yelp
Literally my all time favorite spot, I have to come here whenever I am in KTOWN. Line moves pretty quickly, parking horrible as always. Staff informative! Today we tried the floral no.1 which is one of my new favorite drinks here. You can really taste the jasmine milk tea + the espresso and I love this combo because other places normally do black tea or oolong with espresso. We also tried a hot spanish latte and it was yummy as well! Double matcha is the best as always. I will gas this up every single time. I think we also tried the crimson drink, pretty light and refreshing tea!
google avatar

Lo S.

Yelp
Packed house with lots of people, dreadful parking if not valeting. Decent coffee and matcha The donut latte is dine in only, and served hot in an espresso size basically. Tasted earthy yet sweet with minimal astringency which was nice, and it looked aesthetically pleasing. The double matcha was served with ample cream top. The drink itself was mild, and I wish it had more matcha in taste. Would consider coming back, but the thought of finding parking is a big turn off
google avatar

Valerie H.

Yelp
One of the best matcha's in LA! I love the double matcha (matcha latte + matcha foam)--it's not too sweet and has the perfect amount of nuttiness. The matcha cream top makes this super unique and adds even more flavor. The interior of the store has tables for customers to do work, but each time I've been here the tables and chairs have been full. I think most cafe-goers who want to study get here pretty early, probably when it opens. Even on a weekday at 10:00am, all of the seats were full. Each drink is ~$7-8 and the cups are relatively small, but most cafes are like this nowadays. The line is always out of the door, even on weekdays. The parking lot is extremely tiny and on weekends they charge valet. I didn't valet my car, but I saw a sign that said $3 plus tips. I would recommend parking your car on the street if you're able to find a spot.

Yelp
I have heard so many good things about Stagger from my friends and finally got to try it. I was not disappointed at all and this is now one of my top matcha places! Double matcha - 100000/10 so delicious, from the cream to the matcha it is just amazing! I love the free stickers as well. So glad I got to come by and now I'm addicted... will definitely be coming back :)
google avatar

Sharon T.

Yelp
I've had Stagger twice. Once in November 2024 and again July 2025. Both times I thought the matcha was too sweet. The sweetness is the same flavor profile as vanilla frosting. This applies to both the double matcha and regular matcha latte. You can still taste the matcha, but the flavor of vanilla frosting ruins the drink. In terms of ordering the drink and receiving it, it was pretty quick. I believe they already have their matcha prepared in koicha form so they're able to make it faster. This doesn't affect the actual flavor of the matcha. If you're planning on studying here, I can see it being difficult to find a seat since all the tables were taken the two times I went. I've only came during the weekend though, so I'm not sure how it's like during the weekday. Also, the interior has a nice modern touch to it. I don't really understand the hype around their matcha. I like sweet drinks but their matcha is too sweet in an unpleasant way.
google avatar

Megan K.

Yelp
I get why this place is super popular! The matcha itself was very smooth and potent. I didn't get any hint of grassy-ness which I personally prefer. The cream top added another level of sweetness. Service is great and there's a lot of seating inside! Parking would primarily be street parking, but there is valet in the same plaza. I think stagger is a good try, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
I was disappointed that I didn't like the double matcha, but I would definitely return to try the other drinks Stagger has to offer because the quality of their matcha and hojicha is pretty good! I personally didn't like the double matcha because I found it to be too thick/creamy and matcha-y ... and I really love matcha! When the ice melted, the drink tasted a lot better. Maybe in the future I would just get the regular vanilla cream top or a matcha latte w no cream. The hojicha cream top was super yummy. I liked the quality of the hojicha. I can't wait to come back to try their coffee! The cafe interior is super cute and has a lot of seating!
google avatar

Mari K.

Yelp
Double matcha was good and tasty, not bad of a wait, just around 10-15 minutes to order and order comes out within 5 minutes. Place was good and drink was tasty. I would recommend trying this place at least once if in the area and wanted a matcha with cream top.
google avatar

Joey W.

Yelp
I've heard people raving about this spot so I made a detour to try it out. Parking is not great here so expect to pay for valet in their small lot or find street parking. There's a lot of seating inside but every seat was filled when I went at 1 pm on a Friday. The drinks are on the pricey side but very good. Double matcha - super creamy. It's sweet for an iced matcha but not overwhelmingly sweet. It reminds me of melted matcha ice cream. Orange mocha - I love how strong the orange flavor comes through because in a lot of places the orange is more muted. It reminds of Terry's chocolate orange.

Tania G.

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time this week and it was so tasty and good! I got the matcha cold foam with almond milk. The drink was the best matcha I have had with a tasty vanilla syrup they make in house. The ordering process was quick and easy and they worked very efficiently- getting the drinks out quickly. The vibe inside was a lot of college students studying or socializing! A pleasant place to be. The only downside is the parking- or lack of it. The stores next door were putting cones in some of the spots to reserve them and just overall parking itself was difficult.
google avatar

Jia M.

Yelp
First time trying Stagger Coffee and I got the Double Matcha. I forgot to ask if the sweetness level can be adjusted. The drink was a little too sweet for my liking. I don't usually add any sweetener to my Matcha Lattes when I make it at home. The matcha flavor was there.

Yelp
Came on a weekend a little after noon and probably waited 10-15 min. My friends and I all got the double matcha which was delicious. It's topped with sweetened cream foam (?) which was really yummy. Decent amount of seating in here but it does get quite busy. A lot of people like to sit and study here. They have a small outdoor area you can sit at too! Difficult to find parking around the area though. They have valet for a few dollars.

Yelp
I keep DREAMING about this place! It's that good, Stagger has officially crept into my dreams HAHAHA The staff, service, and quality of matcha drinks and general presentation always starts my day right! This time I ordered one double matcha for my coworker who now hails this as "heaven in a cup" and "revolutionary!" He has not stopped talking about it since... I'll def be back to try some of their house made muffins and cowork here! Their space has so many outlets and small spots!

Yelp
I did the work. I went to Rok and immediately went to stagger and grabbed both the double matcha and the matcha duo. A few notable differences. Parking at stagger is difficult but way easier than Rok. Rok was so complicated. We could not find parking. Stagger line moves quicker ( But they are more established) Rok line is literally insane (But newer, so I'm sure that will change) Flavor: Stagger in my opinion is a killer, I love it! Add the blueberry muffin and automatically your day is 10x better.

Yelp
Stagger Coffee offers excellent drinks, but the location is somewhat inconvenient. My friend had a bad experience with the valet people so that kind of soured our visit. Also, the drinks seem a bit pricey, but it is k-town. I've visited on a Friday and a Saturday. Friday had a staggered flow of crowds. Barely a line at some points and sometimes reaching towards the door. It didn't go out the door which was the case for Saturday. The line took about 20 min. So far I've tried their donut latte ($6.50) and their double matcha ($7.50). Both were fantastic, the foams were especially good. I followed others' advice and got the matcha half sweet and it was perfect. The portions are small but the quality is there. Also, I love how they have free stickers. The double matcha sticker is so cute! Parking! is not great! The valet was charging $4 on a Friday afternoon. When my friend came back after being unable to find street parking, they said it was now $5. Lol so unnecessarily vindictive. Luckily, I found parking on 7th street and my friend was able to find metered parking. The ambiance is busy and loud. The location itself is smaller than expected and the tables and seating seem tight. Lots of young people with trendy outfits. Great place to people watch but not ideal for studying, though I did see people with laptops and headphones. If you do not like lines and a busy atmosphere, this may not be the place for you. But if you don't mind waiting for good drinks and like a lively atmosphere, definitely give Stagger Coffee a visit.

Yelp
Double matcha - 5/5 Floral no. 1 - 50000/5 Came here on a weekend w/ some friends and my dog Maple :) They are dog-friendly indoor and outside! Ordered their popular double matcha and it was so good, great matcha flavor and not too sweet. My husband ordered their floral no. 1 which is a Jasmine milk tea w/ espresso and his drink was SO GOOD. I loved that it was very unique. Normally the typical floral coffee flavors are rose or lavender but I loved the taste of jasmine and coffee, I want to attempt to replicate it at home! Despite the long line, our drinks came out super fast so that was well appreciated too! Would come more often if I lived in the LA area. Parking was challenging but street parking is available around the area.

Yelp
Came around 1:30 pm on a Sunday and the line was out the door but moved fairly quick so it took around 15 mins to order. Drinks came out pretty fast in less than 5 mins! I got an iced vanilla latte and my sister got the viral double matcha. The vanilla latte was a good amount of sweetness and was pretty strong. I took a sip of my sister's matcha and it was good! It was creamy, sweet and the cream was a nice touch so I would get this next time. The interior is modern and pretty big with lots of tables though it was super packed. Parking in the lot was valet for $3.

Yelp
Worth checking out if you're a matcha lover! I personally am not one though, so I got my go-to order: a honey lavender latte. It was decent but I would probably not get it again. However, the donut latte my friend got was amazing! They only serve it hot and in-store so if you're looking for an iced drink, don't make the mistake of getting that. The interior is small since it gets crowded but it's perfect for photos. I also love that they have free stickers :)

Yelp
I love me some matcha! And this place delivered. Tucked away near K-town, this super trendy coffee shop offers all the trendy coffee drinks we love, including double matcha iced latte! So creamy, so delicious, and was the perfect combo with a blueberry muffin. This place is also super cute, they even have merch! Definitely gets crowded so seating might be a bit challenging but it's worth the wait. Parking lot gets packed so make sure you grab the first street parking you see. Overall, this place checks off all the boxes for super trendy coffee spots in LA.

Yelp
Came here for their viral double matcha and wow, it truly lives up to the hype! Legit one of the best matchas I've ever had, I drank it in record time. It is perfectly sweet and creamy and I can enjoy the matcha foam without it being too overpowering. I wish the size was bigger :( Came on a Sunday around 1:30PM and waited about 15 mins to order (the line was out the door but moved quickly) and less than 5 mins for the drinks. Super packed inside, there were no empty tables to sit. Parking in the lot was $3 for valet. Worth it!! I will definitely be back next time in LA

Yelp
The double matcha is good and great as almost a dessert drink given its sweetness, but for the price and portion it's insanely overpriced. Although I could justify splurging for a sweet drink as a dessert, it still is insanely expensive given it is such a small drink. Cute cafe with long lines and not much seating but the drink might be worth at least one splurge to try.

Yelp
Ordered Double Matcha, Cream Top and Spanish Latte - all delicious! Valet is $3, or there's street parking.

Yelp
I went here on a Thursday afternoon, and I was surprised that there wasn't a long line considering how popular it is. There were lots of seating options, but it was filled with people studying or hanging out with their friends. The parking in the plaza is pretty small, so you would need to find street parking in the area. We got the Double Matcha with Oat Milk 1/2 sweet, a Matcha Latte with House Made Cream & Oat Milk, and the Coconut Matcha 1/2 sweet. Wow! Now I understand the hype! Each drink was extremely good! It is on the sweeter side so keep that in mind when ordering. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Good a/c good matcha! However it fills up and the parking is valet only. After 12 I believe! $3 for 2 hours. You know LA! But totally a cute spot
