The Best Coffee Bars in Los Angeles, According to Eater Editors | Eater LA

"The Korean-style cafe wave continues at Stagger Coffee, a minimalist coffee shop in a Koreatown strip mall. Mugs and other highly designed home goods line shelves at the front, which are set on stark white walls. The orange mocha and Spanish latte are specialties here, but for something less sweet, try the fizzy espresso tonic or just a classic cold brew. Watch out for the fresh-baked blueberry cream cheese muffins that come out of the kitchen in the morning. Stagger also serves a handful of croissants daily." - Mona Holmes

The 34 Best Coffee Shops For Getting Work Done In Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Stagger looks a lot like other minimalist strip mall coffee shops in Koreatown: white shelving, sand-colored ceramics, and a squiggly floor-length mirror that would like you to take a selfie. But more importantly, there are lots of tables here, where you can sit with your laptop, take advantage of the strong wifi, and fire off work emails as you sip on cream-topped drinks. They also bake a limited number of pastries, and if you’re lucky, you might catch the staff pulling a jumbo rack of blueberry muffins from the oven." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park

The Best Matcha Lattes in Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If you've seen other minimalist coffee shops in LA, you've seen Stagger: there's white shelving, sand-colored ceramics, and a squiggly-framed mirror perfectly angled for a fit pic. Most people are here to take advantage of the strong wifi and sip cream-topped drinks that look like desserts, but make no mistake—they don't play around with matcha potency. We especially like the bold double matcha latte that lives up to its name, with ceremonial-grade matcha whisked into both the milk and vanilla cream on top." - cathy park

Stagger Coffee - Review - Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Stagger looks a lot like other minimalist strip mall coffee shops in Koreatown: white shelving, sand-colored ceramics, and a squiggly-framed mirror you’ll be tempted to snap for your Instagram story. Most people are here to take advantage of the strong Wi-Fi and/or sip cream-topped drinks that look like dessert, both of which Stagger excels at. Their bold Double Matcha latte lives up to its name, with high-grade matcha whisked into both the milk and the thick vanilla cream on top. The chocolatey Donut Latte comes in a branded porcelain mug, with cream and cocoa powder nearly spilling out the top (it’s not available to-go, but it's worth hanging around for). Stagger also bakes small batches of pastries throughout the day, and if you’re lucky, you might catch the staff pulling a jumbo rack of blueberry muffins from the oven as you reach the front of the line." - Cathy Park

Google
REC: Double Matcha VERY delicious and thick matcha but very busy on a weekend. If you like matcha thick I recommend it and if you like a thinner consistency, and is a slow drinker, then it is perfect after the ice melts a little. I got the double matcha, and I can confidently say it is one of the BEST matchas I’ve ever had. One downside is that parking is limited (expected) and there is a line out the door, but that moved very fast. They have umbrellas for people who are waiting in the heat and LA sun. There is seating in and out (inside has tables and outside doesn’t) but once again limited due to how popular this place is. Vibes are nice and service was fine. They even have free stickers you can get at the counter. Drink was $7.50 not too bad for ktown. reviewed 10/11/2025

Google
one of the best matchas in socal!! came here bc a mutual recommended and it was so good! got a double matcha half sweet and it was the perfect amount of bitter~ I love matcha when it tastes earthy or grassy!! will def be thinking about this place whenever I find myself in LA :) there was a line when i got there but it went by super quickly and service was very friendly. it was also efficient and organized! the inside is really cute and minimalist~ clean zen vibes if that makes sense. Lots of ppl are seated either chatting with friends or doing work on their laptops. it was a little bit cramped inside unfortunately :( luckily was able to snag a seat to take a pic of my matcha! would love to come back

Google
10/10 it was soooo delicious, can't wait to get it again and try their other drinks. The cream top and their matcha is divine. Went just before closing and the line wasn't that long and went by fast. They have plenty of indoor seating too! The staff all seem so nice and chill too Came a second time and it's still just as good. My only complaint is MAKE A LARGE SIZE PLS 😭😭🙏 I NEED MORE

Randy S.

Google
This spot is one of my go-to now. Their Cream Top and Double Matcha are my favorites! Always high quality and consistent. The lines can be very really long depending on the time of day you go. Early mornings are typically great to me! Afternoon once was too long for me. The vibe here is pretty nice. Seating is limited but is typically sufficient (at least in mornings), and it can be chill enough to do work, read, or have conversations.

Google
ended up coming here 3 times within a span of one week. First time sipping into their double matcha, i literally came back and bought a matcha tin. Definitely my go-to spot!! Con: Parking is very scarce.

Google
Delicious coffee and matcha shop. The creamtop drinks are luscious, essentially a dessert. Thick sweet cream floated on top of coffee or matcha drinks. By concensus, the matcha here is one of the best matchas our group has tasted. I recommend the double matcha drink with matcha cream floated on top of iced matcha drink. Nice pastries available too. The staff are friendly, with efficient order completion. The room is a pleasantly tall cube industrial style space. I highly recommend trying this shop.

Google
SO good!!! And staff is super kind. I appreciate that you order with a cashier instead of a tablet, so you can ask for recommendations. I got the double matcha/matcha duo and bf drinks hojicha so he got hojicha cream top. We both really loved it. I have tried a lot of matcha places (mostly in the bay area) and this is one of my new favs.

Google
Got the double Hojicha Latte with oatmilk and ot was delicious! Calm atmosphere where a lot Of ppl were working on their laptops. Matcha cookie was amazing!

Shey ..

Yelp
There was a line when we came in but they were quick in making the drinks. We got the coffee cream top and double matcha. Both drinks were good esp the double matcha. The location is in a weird area. Good thing they had a really good social media presence or else I wont even bother going there bec its tuck in a plaza.

Yelp
Heard about this place from some friends and it totally blew me away. The line was long, but moved fast and the drinks came out really quickly. The double matcha was one of the best I've had-- super bold and creamy with a thick, sweet matcha cream. The cream top was pretty good as well. Overall, a bit on the pricier side for a smaller quantity, but very high quality. The cafe has a minimalist aesthetic, with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is impossible-- I'd recommend either street parking and walking a couple blocks or just doing valet parking ($3).

Yelp
I finally tried Stagger a few months ago and honestly... I feel like I've been missing out this whole time. I'd heard so many good things about it, but I was low-key hesitant because I thought it might be overhyped. Proud to report: it's officially become my go-to matcha spot whenever I'm in K-town! What I tried: Double Matcha Latte -- 4.5/5 I expected their Double Matcha to be super sweet, but it was perfect. Definitely on the sweeter side, but the sweetness works so well with the creaminess. I got mine with oat milk (of course), and it added even more richness to the matcha. And that cream top?? To die for. I literally caught myself trying to sip it through the lid instead of using the straw. Hojicha Creamtop -- 4/5 If you love deeper, toastier flavors, this one is for you. Their hojicha is smooth, aromatic, and pairs beautifully with the rich cream top. I still prefer the Double Matcha, but the Hojicha Creamtop is such a solid alternative if you want something different! Vibe: Stagger is tucked in the corner of a plaza right in the heart of K-town. Parking can be a little chaotic, but they do offer valet for $3, or you might get lucky with street parking. There was a line when I went, but it moved quickly. Plenty of seating inside, and a lot of people were posted up studying or working. Also, the cute mirror at the entrance is the perfect spot for a quick pic or check-in.

Yelp
I've been to Stagger a few times now and it's definitely a spot that lives up to the hype. Each time I've gone, there's been a line out the door, but it goes by pretty quickly and the drinks make it worth it. I've tried the regular hojicha as well as the double hojicha when it came out, and both were really tasty. My friends have gotten the double matcha and they also say it's pretty top tier. The aesthetic inside is also nice and a cute spot to study- just bring noise cancelling headphones. There's some seating outside if you want some fresh air. Overall, definitely a fun and cozy coffee spot to hang out at! Also parking is valet (on the weekends, not sure about weekdays) and it's either $3 cash or $4 if you pay by Venmo or Zelle, street parking is free if you get lucky.
google avatar

Christy L.

Yelp
Deserves all the hype!! Stagger's double matcha is creamy and rich, definitely one of the best matchas I've ever had. The matcha was whisked to perfection. I appreciate the attention to detail with the little sprinkle of matcha powder on the top. I would def come back to try the hojicha!! The line gets long (they crowd control by only letting in a small number of people at a time), so be prepared for a wait time. There is not much seating and no outlets from what I remember. The interior is clean and minimalistic.

Yelp
I've seen a lot of hype for this spot on social media, and since I'm a big matcha fan, I had to check it out. Came on a Saturday and the line was out the door, but it moved pretty fast. I picked up a double matcha, and the quality was really good. Not too sweet and had a nice, clean flavor. The café itself is very aesthetic and a nice place to hang out or chat with friends. The only downside is that the matcha drinks are on the smaller side, so if you care about portion size for the price, it might not feel worth it. Overall, still a great treat and worth trying if you love matcha.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
This place always has such a long line out the door! Thankfully when we came, the line was only a few people out the door. The line moves pretty quickly though, with people ordering their drinks and picking up their drinks within a few minutes. Staff was super friendly both times I came here and took the time to answer my questions about their drinks. The shop itself is spacious, but since its always packed, can get a little crowded and not the best place to study/do work. I noticed there was a separate side patio area with seating too. Parking can be difficult - we don't even bother trying the parking lot. Instead we drive around the streets and walk maybe 2 blocks (which is pretty normal for Ktown) Their double matcha is just unbeatable. Perfectly matcha-y and creamy, but not too bitter. I'm a savage a like to mix it and drink it with a straw (I think you're supposed to just sip it). If I'm in the area and I'm craving a non-coffee, non-boba drink, I will be here (if I have extra time on my hands).
google avatar

Jasmine Z.

Yelp
I rarely come to Koreatown but since I was in the area, I felt like it made sense to finally try Stagger to see what the hype was about. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of coming on the day of their one year anniversary, so the line was longer than usual. The line moved somewhat quickly though and they were doing a BOGO for their double matcha. The double matcha was really good; I only wish their serving size was bigger, especially for the price you're paying. Overall, high quality matcha but I'd say OC has equally good matcha...
google avatar

Dominic B.

Yelp
Unassuming cafe in K-town located in a small strip mall plaza. Once you walk in though, it's pretty aesthetic in a minimalistic, clean way. Walk straight to the counter, menu on table, and place your order. They'll call your name when it's ready. - double matcha - ceremonial matcha, housemade vanilla, housemade matcha cream, housemade cream, matcha powder. Only served iced. Made with regular milk. Matcha cream was a substantial layer in the drink and had incredible flavor. Lightly sweet balanced with the bitterness of the matcha that worked well. Matcha itself tasted really good quality. Aesthetically presented and perfect for a hot day.
google avatar

Alyson F.

Yelp
Stagger is top 2 in OC/LA phenomenal The feta spinach croissant and cream too Americano also the double match amazing
google avatar

Jessie Z.

Yelp
Valet parking in a small parking lot or street. You'll probably see a line for this place as it is worth the hype. Remember to bring an umbrella or some shade as theres little. Inside has a lot of tables with outlets and theres even a patio area so its a good place to have smaller hangouts/study/ people watch. Lots of students studying here and around medium noise level. The cashier and baristas were super efficient. Our drinks were fast for a high volume day. The matcha has richer flavor (creamy) thick without being too sweet or grassy. I can see why people like it. I feel they do premake everything. So, worth the hype. Prepare to wait. And it is on the pricier side for the size, but you get the cafe hopping experience.

Yelp
Stopped by during a rainy day in hopes of getting lucky with parking and the line! We were able to find street parking pretty quickly but it can be kinda hard when packed. I got the double hojicha which has their hojicha with a hojicha cream top. It was really yummy and more on the sweeter side. Inside they have plenty of tables but was still pretty packed with people studying or chatting.
google avatar

Allyssa C.

Yelp
It was our first time trying Stagger and we've heard a lot of good things, so we wanted to experience it for ourselves. Upon entering, the cafe was filled with people sitting at the many tables they have inside. We were able to order right away and we got the Double Matcha Latte and Matcha Latte, both with oat milk. The drinks came out within a few minutes, so service was nice and fast. The drinks were super yummy and had a bold matcha flavor! We would definitely come back again if we're in the area.

Yelp
Popular and bustling coffee/matcha shop in K-Town Los Angeles. And when you walk in, it HAS that vibe...laptops out, young people drinking their coffee...that influencer, online romanticized LA life vibe--if you know you know. I had the Cream Top--the standard is water based, but I splurged and got it "milk based"--I was told this at the counter while ordering so I'm just repeating that, I've never actually been told "it's water based, would you like it in milk?" before so at first I didn't know how to answer (LOL). The drink is solidly good. Also tried the Double Matcha...it's a lot of matcha, for sure. Not overly sweet, pretty good. All was ok but not particularly mind-blowing and I wouldn't go out of my way to return especially since there are SO many coffee shops not just in LA, but in K-Town specifically. But it's all preference, and some people do love this place, so come on down and try it because they might be your favorite too. Parking looked crowded and I think there was some type of valet situation? Not sure but definitely look into that if you're coming by car and need parking.
google avatar

Andrea Y.

Yelp
I've had quite a few matchas all over the city and hands down Stagger has the best! I love the double matcha which is a matcha latte with matcha cream top and it's so indulgent and delicious. It's a bit thicker than other matcha lattes so it almost feels like you're drinking a matcha milkshake. Also the ratio of matcha to sweetness to creaminess is just perfect. Not too bitter (which some places overdo) and sweet enough to seem like a treat without being overbearingly sweet. Idk how Stagger does it because I keep trying other places but none of them can get it exactly right like they can.
google avatar

Ariana V.

Yelp
Don't be intimidated by the long line outside--it goes by fast. I'm glad my cousin and I waited in line while my brother found parking. Keep in mind, the parking situation is horrible. It's valet only and small af. That's the only reason I deducted a star. I like when cafes and matcha shops are easily accessible. However, their matcha.. omg! Heaven sent. I ordered their double matcha with oat milk and almost regret buying a tin of their matcha. It was so good, but I don't think I would've been able to recreate it. The inside is very aesthetically pleasing as well. It was pretty busy and packed with people inside and hanging outside.
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
Not my cup of coffee. Just a americano with cream top. This place maaaaybe for my daughter who loves matcha but I'll take her next time. But for today I'm reviewing on the cream top. It's a simple americano with cream top of you like that. A good try but I think I'll pass for coffee. Next visit will be for my daughter and her matcha. Friendly workers. Parking is a small lot. There is street parking but if there is any. LA is not a street parking place super crowded. UGH but if you want a decent coffee with cream top go here.
google avatar

Winnie L.

Yelp
I'd heard so many great things about Stagger's Double Matcha, and I finally made my way to K-Town to try it! I didn't want to pay for valet parking, but luckily I found street parking near Helena Church and walked over. Double Matcha: 4/5 A must-try for matcha lovers. The cream top is thick and luscious, and the matcha flavor is strong and earthy. The ratio of cream to drink is just right. The only downside is that the matcha has a high astringency. After finishing the whole drink, I noticed a slight dry mouthfeel. Thankfully, they have a self-serve water station with cups, which is a nice touch. Ambiance: The café was very busy and packed on a Sunday afternoon. Mostly filled with people working on laptops or chatting in small groups. If you're planning to come with a larger party, it's best to arrive early to grab seats. The background music was at a good volume. It's pleasant but not overpowering so you can still carry on a conversation or study comfortably (especially with noise-canceling headphones). Service: Friendly and efficient. The staff seemed well-organized, and they call out your name once your drink is ready.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been on a matcha-craze and after having a pretty heavy lunch, we needed that extra caffeine boost before the drive back to OC. I had a few places in LA bookmarked but decided to check out Stagger Coffee. Parking is pretty horrendous, they have a valet only lot, so we didn't even bother driving in. Luckily there were two of us, so I was able to stay in the car around the area while my wife got the drinks. We both ordered the Double Matcha (12oz) since that's what they appear to be more popular for. The drink was super delicious, I loved that you got to taste both the matcha so prominently in the cream and the drink itself. I personally wish they was a larger size because I finished the drink so quickly. Overall, a super great spot and I'm glad to have finally tried it. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
What was once a rundown laundromat has been completely reimagined into one of Koreatown's hottest matcha cafés. I truly applaud the owners for their BOLD VISION of transforming the landscape of this neighborhood and attracting a wave of trendy, young professionals. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was PACKED. The black-and-white interior, accented with minimalist decor, creates a sleek and modern vibe--though seating is limited. All the seats were taken when we arrived, so we waited for a spot to open up. We ordered their BEST SELLER: MATCHA served over ice with sweet cream. The verdict - Wow, this is hands down the BEST matcha I've ever had! I've made matcha at home before, and this café's version is on another level. If you're curious and willing to splurge on an $8 beverage, I'd say it's absolutely worth the trip.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
I went early-ish and there were still available parking spots in the parking lot but I find parking on the street is more convenient. However, the streets are dirty (at least when I went) and I wouldn't recommend going in flip flops or sandals (like I did). There were broken glass and thick substances on the ground that you don't want to step in, etc. Let's just say I was very careful where I stepped and I walked very slowly. Anyways, service was phenomenal. I was greeted right away and surprisingly there was no line. I got the double matcha and it was good. Inside is very spacious and aesthetically pleasing.
google avatar

Zachary C.

Yelp
Very popular/trendy matcha place. Definitely has a certain vibe to it, younger crowd, instagrammy/tiktok-y, you get it. Line was out the door when we got there, but they did have some nice white umbrellas for people to use while waiting. It's popular for a reason though, and I think the matcha and pastries here definitely hold up. Very tasty, full of matcha flavor, a tad pricey but you get what you pay for and I do think it's fairly worth it!
google avatar

Su L.

Yelp
Came on Indigenous People's Day around 10 am and there was a steady stream of people in here but it wasn't crazy like the weekends are. Staff are sweet and the line moved quickly. The double matcha here is always perfect. Ambiance here is not super quiet as there are a lot of people chattering away but they don't play loud music. There are a mix of low tables and regular tables for people wanting to work on laptops. Definitely my favorite matcha in LA.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
10/10 experience and matcha. The hype is real! Got the double matcha and one 50% sweet and one non sweet. Both tasted really well balanced and full of flavor. If you get the non sweet you can taste the matcha more and it's stronger. There is still a little bit of sugar in the cream though. Parking is bad since it's a small lot but there's street parking nearby. Service is relatively quick despite it being packed.
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
So Midori Matcha in Little Tokyo has been by #1 matcha spot for as long as I can remember, but the day has come where I found a spot that replaces it. Personally, I'm a big fan or cream tops/einspanners so when I saw that there's a double matcha, I knew that I would really like it. But what makes it so good in my opinion is that the matcha is the perfect ratio like it's just the right amount of creamy yet earthy flavor, they whisk it so there's no clumps or powder residue so it's the perfect silky consistency, and just the perfect color. I realize I've only had Stagger once so i'll have to validate this claim with more visits but right now it sits as my new #1 and I can say that's it lives up to the hype.
google avatar

Gladys Y.

Yelp
Looking for a matcha place that's worth trying, look no further. You can taste the quality matcha with the first sip. The place is modern with bunch of tables and outdoor seating, good place to get a pick me up and great meeting space! The staff are friendly and helpful, service is fast. There is valet parking in the lot but best bet is to look for free parking on the street.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting from out of town and tried a handful of coffee and matcha spots. Stagger coffee was first on our list and it did not disappoint. Solid ceremonial grade matcha a bit on the sweeter side but nonetheless still my favorite out of the spots that we went to. My husband got the cold brew and it was the best cold brew he had on this trip. Service was as quick on a Monday morning around 9 am. The coffee shop was clean and nicely decorated with modern touches. Would definitely recommend and come back.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
It was mandatory for me to try a matcha spot while in LA. I've seen this place trending and was expecting a long line, but surprisingly it was a quick wait and our drinks came out FAST. It was my first time trying a Double Matcha and I finished it so quick! The matcha was creamy but the milk wasn't overpowering where it messed with the taste. I loved how thick the matcha foam was! My friends got Matcha Coconut and I might have to opt for that next time! The coconut water was sweet, but works for those who want a less heavy of a drink.
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
The place was not too small but it was crowded! There's limited parking and the wait was long. However, I do think the wait is worth it for the quality of the matcha! The place looks aesthetically pleasing and they also have many photo opps for you to choose from! Matcha Coconut(10/10): The drink was very refreshing and the ratio was perfect! I liked the little addition of the flower petals on top. Service(10/10): The worker was very helpful and super nice! Overall, I would recommend this place and would definitely come here again if I'm in the area!

Yelp
Creamsicle matcha!!! Limited until 9/30! inh x Ulta Beauty creamsicle matcha is so creamy, flavorful, and delicious! I didn't expect this combo to go so well together. I could taste both flavors and one didn't overwhelm the other. I had been wanting to try Stagger and this collab finally gave me the reason to. The only downside is that it's $8 and it's not a very big cup. Matcha prices are insane now! I got mine with less ice. I also tried their matcha macadamia cookies which were pretty good, but it was quite oily. I think it was $5. I had to wait a bit, took about 10 min from waiting to getting the drink in hand. It was super packed inside. The line took awhile but the drink came out really quickly (2 min!) after I ordered. It has a very modern vibe inside. The seat that I got had a low table. It was loud, would be hard to talk there. They're very considerate to offer umbrellas outside for people waiting in line. The parking lot is very small and valet parking only. There's street parking but I had to park 2-3 blocks away. 5 stars for the drink flavor and quality. 4 stars for overall. I would come back if I'm ever in the area!
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
The hype is real. This might be the best matcha in LA. I went on a Tuesday around 10:30 am and there was no line. I got a double matcha which was so creamy and delicious. I also got a yuzu almond croissant which didn't taste very fresh. It was very dry and a bit tough. Parking was easy and it took under 5 minutes to get my drink and food. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Third time here and never disappoints! We got double matchas with oat milk. We asked for less sweetener last time and decided that we would stick with the regular amount from now on. I feel like the oat milk taste is pretty prominent in the latte but is better after the cream is mixed in. This is the best matcha cream top i've had! Last two times we came before 9:30am and didn't have to wait in line. Cafe is super cute with plenty of seating. Service is super quick!

Yelp
One of the top best matcha places I've been to. My only rant is the parking is small and the area is kinda hood, but otherwise I like the aesthetics of their interior. The lines weren't too crazy when I went here on the weekend. While I was in line I noticed the canned drinks that they have were very aesthetically pleasing. Curious to try the Strange Water lol. I ordered their double matcha latte and it was creamy and rich!! I'm tempted to try their matcha cookie next time.

Yelp
There's so much wonderful matcha spots around k-town, so it's really hard say which is best. What i will say is, Stagger's double matcha will fix any matcha connoisseurs' taste buds/cravings. Absolutely check this place out if you're looking for some quality drinks. Parking is pretty bad, so be prepared to park far or illegally haha.

Yelp
I really really enjoyed my drink here. The biggest frustration is with parking options! I got the double matcha, it was a little too sweet but I still really enjoyed it. The inside is cute and they have an outdoor area as well. Based on parking, I probably wouldn't ever enjoy the sit in experience but the drink itself was great! Staff were friendly and made every drink to order. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Update: Wow the coconut latte might have been the best drink iv had in the last few months. Ultra rich, creamy and decadent with toasted coconut flakes on the rim for texture. So amazing. Not too sweet and a great balance of bitterness and creaminess. Drinks: 9.5/10 Service: 9/10 Ambience: 8.6/10

Yelp
Went to Stagger and in my opinion this is the best spot for matcha in LA. I ordered the double matcha and ended up getting four of them: each one was perfectly made; smooth, earthy, aromatic, and strong without being bitter. You can really taste the quality of the matcha here; it's bold but balanced and honestly one of the best matcha drinks I've had anywhere. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a trendy matcha café: clean, modern, and minimal with that curated vibe that makes it feel more like an experience than just a quick drink stop. Everyone in the space felt a little performative, but it worked with the setting and gave the place a unique energy. It's definitely the kind of spot where the vibe is part of the appeal. Service was solid: I didn't have to wait in a long line and my drinks came out quickly. Staff was polite and efficient; not overly chatty but they got everything right and made the experience smooth. The space itself is well-kept and organized, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy your drink. Overall: the drinks are outstanding, the service is reliable, and the vibe is clean and modern. Would I come back? Absolutely; this is my go-to matcha spot in LA.

Yelp
Stagger has been on my list for some time but as a caffeine sensitive individual I needed someone to go with who would be able to do justice to the matcha. While there are no decaf options, there are two caffeine free teas. I ordered the King Crimson which was both beautiful and fragrant. It comes unsweetened so add simple syrup to taste. My friend ordered the double matcha and really enjoyed it. She noted that it was well-balanced and gave it the age old compliment of "not too grassy." There was quite a long line extending outside of the shop when we got there around midday (on the weekend). The store was kind enough to offer umbrellas to protect us from the hot summer sun! For parking there is a small valet lot but if you have some patience try hunting for parking in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Get the double matcha! That's it, that's the review! But seriously, this is the best matcha latte I've had thus far. It was creamy, well-balanced and not overly sweet. The line moved quickly and I didn't have to wait long for my order. This cafe has a very modern/neutral look which I liked. I also tried a pastry which was yummy too.

Yelp
Had this bookmarked on Instagram so am really happy that I was finally able to check it out. Came by with a friend a little after 4:15pm on a Sunday, and the line was out the door! Chatted, admired the interior, and people watched while we waited so time didn't pass by too slowly. Ordered at the counter and found a small table in the corner to sit and do some more people watching as we waited. Thankfully didn't have to wait long! - Double Matcha - very concentrated matcha flavor! Had tried Rok prior to this so was curious about how they compared. Thought they were overall quite similar but Stagger's was slightly sweeter and contained a more reasonable amount of ice (so for the value, I prefer Stagger's matcha). - Hojicha Cream Top - tried a sip of my friend's order and also really enjoyed this! Overall a solid place to drink and yap. Might recommend bringing some noise cancelling headphones if you're looking to study. Would recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Don't be discouraged by the wait! It actually went by so fast. Definitely a minimal interior and the drinks are definitely what makes this place a must visit., especially the double matcha I've tried so many around all of LA and I can't deny this one is def the best at the moment. The staff is friendly and efficient, and drinks come out fast. That's why I don't mind the line since it goes quick. Parking is v limited though, but valet is available The space is clean and modern but it's often crowded. Definitely come to try their matcha!!

Yelp
I really wanted to like Stagger, especially hearing about all the good things other Yelpers have shared. However, after all the bi-coastal matcha latte chasing these years, I don't think I can give them any more stars. The double matcha was thick and creamy with a very vibrant green, which I enjoyed. The cream was smooth and matcha well mixed itself. However because the cream top and the matcha latte were both sweetened, it was wayyy too sweet together. The matcha also tasted like baking grade matcha and not ceremonial grade, so the flavors weren't strong at all. I also tried the matcha cookie. Loved the whole macadamia nuts but the rest of the cookie tasted more like butter dough than matcha. The minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing space is conducive to studying/getting some work done. I had trouble connecting to wifi for the first half of my visit, but then connected successfully after trying several times again. I liked the variety of seating options from bench, table, to low coffee tables. Staff were polite. I would be interested in checking out their hojicha or coffee drinks next time.

Yelp
Small cafe in the corner of a tiny plaza. Parking is valet or street if you can find any - literally the worst but it's ktown so what can you do? The cafe itself has that clean aesthetic. A fair amount of seats but they were so crowded. We got our drinks and left. The double matcha lived up to its hype. GET IT.

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday morning and the service was fast, parking was free, and the space was big enough to sit down and study. This is one of the most hyped up double matcha lattes in LA and while it was good it's not the best I have had. It is definitely on the sweeter side with the vanilla flavoring overpowering the matcha flavor. It was good but I wish the matcha was stronger. I personally prefer Rok's double matcha but this one was still good.

Yelp
One of the best matcha drinks I have ever had. Ever since I've tried Stagger, I can't stop thinking about the double matcha, and I don't think there is any place that compares! You can tell with the first sip that the matcha is nice quality. The drink is so smooth and creamy, it's hard to put the drink down once you've started drinking it. A must try!

Yelp
Everyone has their preferences for their to go matcha spot's. Stagger is on my top 5 at the moment. Despite limited parking spots but there is valet in this small plaza, I been making the 40+ mins for this matcha place. Line out the door, but move pretty quickly. Their double matcha sweetness was perfect for my taste bud. Just wished that they give less ice because it do be more ice ratio than liquid. Love their friendly hospitality!

Yelp
I've become that person who wants to check out all the trendy coffee spots in K-town, lol. So here I was, on a Saturday morning, waiting in line at Stagger to get the famous double matcha. And yes, it was not a let down. The double matcha was creamy and well balanced. Their coffee was good too, according to my coffee loving friends, that I ended up getting a bag as a gift for another coffee lover. The space is really cute, and inviting. I would love to come back to sip matcha, read, or do some work in this space. We were lucky that we got a parking spot in the lot, but visually I could tell that parking could be problematic. On a geeky note, I really dig Stagger's logo and its font.

Yelp
I had been curious to try this place since it exploded all over TikTok. I randomly decided to go on a Saturday afternoon since I was in the area. As we all know parking at a Ktown cafe is made of tears and nightmares so of course parking was allllll the way down the street. After that there was a pretty hefty line out the door. But it moved quite fast. Inside the place is bumping for a Saturday afternoon! Unsurprisingly every seat was filled. I got the double matcha (with whole milk :D) and my friend got the cream top. As for price to liquid ratio...it wasn't looking good. Final verdict: Quite pricey!!! But the real answer is that if you want to get into matcha, this could be a good beginner spot. The matcha is quite sweet and along side the cream top it almost masks the flavor of the earthiness. My friend who hates the "seaweed" flavor of matcha thought this was the best matcha he's tasted. I'm quite a fan of sweet so I didn't mind this drink but if you're really looking for that combo of sweet and balance of the real matcha flavor. This is probably not your guy. Would I come again? Most likely not.
