We visited this restaurant because of it’s great reviews. We ordered weiner schnitzel and a roasted beef dish. The beef dish was very tasty, tender and well cooked. However the schnitzel was on the salty side for us and we didn’t finish the dish. I liked the sides including carrot salad. The servers were so friendly, attentive and helpful. Nice atmosphere and great beers!

Excellent food and beer in this authentic German cuisine restaurant. My buddy and I sat outside and ate delicious food. Treated myself to some delicious strudel. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food on a beautiful location.

Service, awesome. Atmosphere, awesome. Food, salty as "word of choice". Really wanted to like the food, but wow was the food ever so salty. The breading was seasoned way too much, and the sauce itself was seasoned too much. Salt on top of salt. Ended up throwing the leftovers. Please taste your food after seasoning!

It is a fairly small establishment which is probably why there was a longer wait time to get a seat. Staff were very friendly but getting refills or check-ins did not occur. Happy hour prices are a little high for the quantity but there are plenty of good food options to choose from. Would go back for the food.

German food can be enjoyable and this is a fun place to get some good dishes of that country. They have unique sides to go with the meal but all are well-made, I'd recommend either the fries or the spatzle especially. Feel free to ask any questions you have about the menu because the staff will be friendly and happy to answer any. Their menu is diverse, and you can try things from pretzels to German soup to different meats. Some dishes can be on the spendy side, but serving sizes are fair. The establishment is loud and casual but clean and still classy at the same time.

Wow, what a find! Forget any uncertainty about German food and beer you may have and go enjoy the warm, comfortable surroundings of Stammtisch. The food, beer, service and vibe could not be better. The menus describe the beers and food very well, even if you can't pronounce anything. Just point at what you want and enjoy! About the only challenge you might face is street parking, but this is Portland, after all. I'll certainly return.

My husband and I finally got a date night and we picked Stammtish. We love it every time we come here. We always can't decide on a meal cause they have so many delicious options. The service was amazing! The food was delicious! We love the atmosphere and decor. I can't wait to bring my mom here again and have another date night with my husband here.
