"Whether you’re looking for somewhere to host your office holiday party or getting a bunch of your cousins together for your niece’s third quinceañera, Standard Tap is one of the best places to celebrate. The gastropub has a great rooftop deck, plenty of rotating beers, and a fireplace for when winter hits. "We’re just going to say it: the Tap is the heart and soul of Northern Liberties. Multi-level and many-roomed, we come here for nearly any occasion: sit at the bar for a quick drink with friends, bring your family upstairs for a slightly more formal experience in the red room, or enjoy every last minute of Summer on the second-floor deck. The food menu changes often, but the Standard burger is a pièce de résistance and the local beer selection never disappoints. "This Northern Liberties gastropub has a great deck, plenty of local beers, and a rotation of more ghost stories than a campfire of bored teenagers. The building has been around since 1880, which means two things: the amount of beer served here can probably fill the Delaware, and they have ghosts. Mr. Smeigelski, a former tenant, is known to rattle cutlery and knock over shelves, and an old woman occasionally appears at the top of the stairs. Basically, there’s a good chance you’ll encounter spirits over your chicken pot pie. You and whoever else wasn’t able to get away for the weekend should leave work early and head here for a few self-pity beers and maybe a burger or two.
