Google
One of the best breakfast spots we found in New Orleans! The customer service was amazing. Our server Jonathan, was super friendly. We ordered the Bananas Foster French Toast and the Corned Beef Hash with sunny side up eggs, both dishes were extremely delicious. I will definitely be coming back here for breakfast next time I am in town!

Mr Sid

Google
It was a great experience. From the hostess tp our server Caleb. Prices are high but its expected in a tourist driven scene. They are fast with seating and do bot compromise fast with quality. Both were good. Recommend the Breaux Bridge benedict and bloody mary. Cheers.

Google
Great spot just off Jackson Square in open cafe with great NOLA feel. Staff very engaged. Excellent gumbo! Dark roux with deep flavors and not thick like many that can be too thick. Lots of seafood, sausage and chicken. Get it with the potato salad!

Google
Great spot for brunch. I had the omelette sandwich and it was delicious. Everyone else’s looked incredible, but I can’t speak for how good their meals were, but I wouldn’t hesitate to order any of it. Food came out quick and service was great.

Google
Monday morning breakfast in NOLA, is a treat when you eat at Stanley’s in Jackson Square. My wife just had Mother’s Day yesterday and her Birthday tomorrow so she was feeling good about things and started the order off with a double Bloody Mary GreyGoose, and crab cake Benedict. I ordered coffee, then, Jonathan our waiter ask if I was going to let let her have all the New Orleans fun! I canceled the coffee got a Bloody Mary and eggs Benedict, everything was delicious! Service, food, atmosphere! We left and did a little shopping! I truly enjoy NOLA. Stanley’s is a must for your breakfast/brunch! 5:12/2025

Google
Stanley's...my first taste of New Orleans, fresh off the plane. will never forget it. 10/10 seriously. First Louisiana gumbo...first time trying boudin. Also the onion rings, wow- seriously crisp, light, clean, flavorful, not crumbly or soggy at all. The Bloody Mary- best one I've ever had. Maybe it was new place euphoria but everything was just so Amazing! I must thank my mother in law for her impeccable taste.

Julie Williams

Google
When we travel from PHL to NOLA for French Quarter Fest, at least two breakfasts at Stanley are a must. Time Breaux Bridge Benedict is to die for, and tents Bloody Marys are the best in the city! Also get a double Stanley Screamer to go and walk the beautiful city!

Google
Our waiter was rude and i asked for recommendations, and he pointed out the Stanley classic no flavor, egg Benedictr too salty only thing good is coffee.

Yelp
I was worried since Yelpers say the place is packed and hard to get into, but at 8:15am less than half the tables were filled. It also was a Sunday, but isn't that a busy time? We had a nice table looking at the sidewalk, not on the Jackson Square side though. We should have asked for that table. A table of four locals held court nearby. Looked like a good diner. Server Kalef was quick and brought excellent coffee. I saw Boudin Croquettes on the menu and after our tapas tour in Spain last year, I was all about croquettes, and our family and Chef Raymond at MGSOC raved about Boudin sausage so I had to try them. They were good, but kind of tasted like every other "mozzarella stick". I think I need to try Boudin in its natural state for the full effect. I had the corned beef hash, wife had the Eggs Stanley (cornmeal-crusted oysters, poached eggs, canadian bacon and creole hollandaise on a toasted english muffin). Wife asked for fruit cup. The Server said they did not have fruit cups, but he could get us a banana they used for the Bananas Foster French Toast. We got a banana sliced up, only $1. Score, and props to the server to figure out a way. Wife loved the eggs. I liked the hash -- largeish chunks of corned beef, seared nicely. I think it was my 2nd or 3rd favorite -- def better than the usual ground hash slurry. Hit on all points: fun local spot, attentive service, great coffee, great food, reasonable price.

Yelp
I came here early in the morning to just have some time to myself and listen to my book and I got a really nice breakfast. I was able to walk in with no problem and no wait. The table that I got was right near the window so was able to people watch while I sat down and ate. The food was very good and very simple. I thought. I got the eggs Benedict Stanley style which just included some oysters. Very simple. Very good. I would would say that the only thing that I would suggest is that maybe put a little bit more hot sauce on it. I would like to go back and taste more of the menu.

Yelp

Yelp
Our last meal in New Orleans went out with a bang. We ordered everything we could think of that seemed specifically New Orleans-style for brunch: Po Boy Eggs Benedict, Bananas Foster French Toast, Corn Beef Hash Sunny Side Up, and Loaded Grits. The Po Boy Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs and sauce (definitely would recommend adding the arugula and tomatoes), but the bread was a bit tough. The Bananas Foster French Toast, to me, were special due to the ice cream mainly. I personally liked how generous they were with the toppings for the loaded grits and the perfectly thick and chewy corn beef hash with the abundance of potatoes and meat for the corn beef hash dish. Service was good. I also liked how bright and wide the interior was.

Yelp
Walked in to Stanley around 10 am on a weekday and there was no wait. Host was nice. We ordered a Eggs Acadiana and an Omelet Sandwich. Bf & I both ordered one and split so we could taste both. I loveeeed the Omelet Sandwich. He loved the Eggs Acadiana. They were both honestly chef's kiss. The eggs were fluffy, not overcooked. And the poached egg on the Acadiana was amazing and that yolk explosion was nut!!!!! Love this place. 2nd favorite breakfast spot in NOLA. The restrooms were squeaky clean and the food came out pretty fast. Their coffee was also one of the better coffee's I've had in the city.

Yelp
My family was recommended Stanley's on a carriage ride when we asked our tour guide for a poboy recommendation years ago! The location is so incredible that we have found ourselves returning time and time again, and bringing friends too. The poboys are loaded with oysters/shrimp and topped with a tangy coleslaw - delicious!! You can see Jackson's Cathedral and watch the street performers from a window seat!
google avatar

Yelp
New in town and awaiting hotel check-in, I needed a good meal! Our hotel concierge suggested Stanley's, and I'm glad we made the short walk down Charters St. to find it. The place is always hopping and bustling with activity, but we were lucky to find seats at the counter. You know a place is good when the locals fill the chairs! The staff was super friendly and willing to chat with visitors. I started with a refreshing cherry Italian soda and settled on the fried oyster Po' Boy. My non-adventurous friend decided on the single patty cheeseburger and fries. We were both very happy with our selections! I wanted to get back to try more regional specialties, but time didn't allow it. Get here and enjoy great home cooking!

Yelp
I love Stanley. We go every time we're in town. The oyster Benedict is heaven. Also the Stanley screamer drink is delicious. And you can't forget "Sheila" the best server in the world. Not her real name by the way.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast on Jackson square. I got the pancakes in banana Foster style and walnuts. Fantastic. My son got eggs benedict; he enjoyed. My wife got a traditional eggs and ham breakfast. Prices were reasonable. Service very good. Will be back.

Yelp
Stopped in for a little cocktail and nosh. Wait person Wes the male model, was amazing so fun interacting with guests. The cafe was packed we shared the boudin balls and each had a featured cocktail. Delicious
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic gumbo if you like dark roux! Chicken, andouille, and oysters. Not too many oysters if you don't like them. Also had the red beans and they were THE BEST I've ever had! Cannot go wrong with a meal at Stanley's.
google avatar

Yelp
Okay, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've lived in the CBD for the last 16 years, and this was my first time eating at Stanley's. It was absolutely amazing! Our bartender, this young guy, was absolutely killing it. We couldn't decide between the frog legs and the oysters, so we got both, and I'm so glad we did! We also tried the club sandwich and Caesar salad. Highly recommend, and I can't wait to go back in person! Between the potato salad and those onion rings, wow. Don't miss this place!
google avatar

Lee A.

Yelp
The crab cake Benedict was amazing and the serving was HUGE! I will definitely be back for this again next time I visit New Orleans. They also make a vegan gumbo, and good hurricanes. It's pretty busy but you can usually get seated within 5-10 min. Didn't love that some of the servers had long messy hair. They could touch up their hygiene a bit more - it's food services!
google avatar

Katherine S.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and had the most deeeeelicious Oyster Eggs Benedict. The oysters were still soft on the inside with a yummy cornmeal crust. Barman was super nice and food came out quick. Love the floor-to-ceiling windows and proximity to Jackson Square.
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
Got the shrimp and oyster poboy and it was yummy. You get best of both poboy flavors. The place is also well decorated and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to try when you're in NOLA. So close to other great places in the area.
google avatar

Omar S.

Yelp
Should you spend $25 for a plate of eggs? Absolutely not. But is "Eggs Stanley" just any old plate of eggs? Absolutely not, and the important difference isn't the quality of the eggs used, or the ham, or the muffin; it's the oysters, man... perfect-sized and perfectly fried, those light, juicy, slightly briny gems are made to be dressed with egg yolk and Hollandaise sauce, and so they are, and that's a wonderful thing. So, when you wake up feeling run down by last night's bad choices, make some good ones: ignore the urge to stay in bed; get up, wash your face and throw on some clothes; then make your way to Stanley, for the best $25 plate of eggs in town.
google avatar

Felix P.

Yelp
To be one of the greatest breakfast spots in New Orleans is to climb an insurmountable peak! There are so many good ones...Stanley is a great one! Every dish and every staff member is top notch!! Try the pancakes with walnuts!! Best I've had in NOLA!! Love This Place!!
google avatar

Makayla T.

Yelp
Food & Service were GREAT! If you are downtown, coming to this place is a MUST! Our waiter was very attentive to us, and we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering! The atmosphere was GREAT, and everyone was very welcoming. Even saw the hostess interacting with a young child about the toy she had just received. Keep in mind this was after the Christmas Parade when there was an extreme influx of people!

Yelp
I was looking for a breakfast spot in the French Quarter and a concierge told me one day to try Stanley's. I was pleasantly surprised and happy I finally tried them. They are right in the heart of the Square and the window view was perfect. I love breakfast..The food was great and loved the breakfast menu items and wait the specialty drinks were so good. The servers were so friendly and personable. It's a casual vibe with a great view of the artists in the square. Give it a try.

Wesley S.

Yelp
This place - there are no words to describe how absolutely amazing it is. The atmosphere, every time I walk in it feels like I've come home. Greeted with a giant smile from Tanya, energy and chaos from Wes behind the bar, and the food my mom and aunt fed me growing up. ABSOLUTE BEST red beans & rice anywhere, authentic creole fare and portions tha Stanley's: Where comfort N'Awlins food meets French Quarter flair! From the moment you walk in, greeted by Tanya's contagious smile and her warm heart, to Wes's chaotic energy behind the bar, you know you're in for a good time. The food? Well, it's like a warm hug from mom (at least my Cajun roots mom), especially those incredible red beans and rice - no joke the best in the city. If you're looking for authentic Creole cuisine with good vibes - the Cheers of N.O. Restaurants, you'd be a fool to miss out on Stanley's.

Caiti W.

Yelp
Water cups and water was filthy, unfortunately I didn't notice all the stuff floating around in the bottom of my drink until the ice melted and I had drank it half way down, luckily my bf didn't drink his but his was just as dirty :( hostess was nice.
google avatar

Nick L.

Yelp
Went back and forth on this and a couple of other choices but thought I'd give it a go. Going into the restaurant it doesn't give the appearance of being clean. Thought, I'd still give it a try unto while I'm looking at the menu, the waiter is standing over me cracking each and every knuckle on his hands. Seriously, who would do that? But that sealed the deal on finding another cleaner and noise -free spot for lunch.

Yelp
Nestled near the iconic Jackson Square in New Orleans, The Stanley boasts a prime location that draws in visitors from near and far. However, my recent dining experience at this establishment left much to be desired. From the moment I stepped through the door, I couldn't help but notice the lack of cleanliness that pervaded the space. The men's bathroom was particularly disappointing, with cramped quarters and an overall lack of upkeep that made for an unpleasant experience. As I made my way to my table, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease as I noticed crumbs littering the tabletops and benches. The state of disarray extended to the floor, which was marred by dirt and grime that left me feeling hesitant to put my feet down. Despite my reservations, I decided to give the food a chance in the hopes that it would redeem the dining experience. However, by the time my meal arrived, I found myself thoroughly disenchanted with the entire affair. The cleanliness--or lack thereof--of the surroundings had overshadowed any enjoyment I might have derived from the food. To add insult to injury, I couldn't help but notice a fellow diner across from me feeding her toddler directly off the table--a sight that only served to underscore the overall lack of cleanliness that permeated the restaurant. In reflecting on my experience, I can't help but feel that The Stanley has the potential to be a great dining destination with its prime location and promising menu offerings. However, the glaring issue of cleanliness must be addressed if it hopes to attract and retain customers in the future. In conclusion, while The Stanley may benefit from its proximity to Jackson Square, it ultimately falls short of expectations due to its lack of cleanliness. Until improvements are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to fellow diners.

Yelp
Wow! Best breakfast potatoes I've ever had! The loaded grits were creamy and very flavorful. We split the breaux bridge Benedict. Subbed with scrambled eggs. To die for! Our server was very nice and it wasn't too busy at the time we went.

Yelp
This place made me feel right at home at the bar. The owner was super friendly and the bartender had me cracking up. The seafood benny was out of this world with fried oysters, shrimp and soft shell crab - I can't stop telling everyone about it, so here I am on Yelp!
google avatar

Yelp
Very fast service. Nice place right on square. Food is OK but have had better breakfasts.

Yelp
On the Monday before Mardi Gras we enjoyed a nice brunch outside at Stanley. We walked up and they offered to seat us inside for a wait or order at the bar to sit outside. They don't service the outside tables however they will bring your to-go order to you. Outside you see the artists, the cathedral, performers, tourists, workers and all the energy of Jackson Square. There's so much going on - a brass band on one corner, tarot card readings, evangelists preaching and plain old drunks on another corner. It was a sight! It's a true reflection of New Orleans. The food was truly delicious. You rarely find real corned beef hash so I jumped at this. It's served with a hollandaise and hot sauce. Both were great drizzled on top. Not pictured was the gumbo served with rice. This was a tasty dish with that rich roux, sausage, crab, beef & Cajun seasoning. Truly warms your soul. I'd definitely return when I'm back in the city - this time to sit inside and be served.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I ordered the the chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious! The lettuce was nice and crisp and the portions were huge. The chicken came with an orange seasoning which I was afraid would be spicy but actually it had a great Creole taste. It is pricey I add a Caesar salad and one soda which cost me $30.
google avatar

Clay W.

Yelp
This place gets you in and out for breakfast super fast. They make a decent pot of coffee. Breaux Bridge Benedict was tasty with seared boudin patties, smoked ham, and poached eggs. Waitress said it was a classic, and it did not disappoint. The boudin patties played perfectly with the barely runny poached egg, the hollandaise you already know was a delight with the salty and slightly crispy edged ham. Atmosphere was lively, they're turning tables over fast but that means you can get in and out pretty fast yourself. We'd definitely swing by again for a low key quick breakfast in NOLA.
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and the food came out great. My cousin had a filet gumbo with a scoop of potato salad which was also great.
google avatar

Mindy W.

Yelp
This place was a win in every way. The service was fast and efficient, the drinks solid, and the food fresh and delicious. I had the Bloody Mary and a cappuccino and corned beef hash plate with eggs. My husband ordered the Irish coffee and the first round was good but the second a little strong. I recommend and will return!
google avatar

Arianna S.

Yelp
The food is so good here! The service was amazing. I got red beans, my partner got a shrimp Po boy and we shared the boudin croquettes. I would definitely recommend this establishment for a quick bite to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
The point of traveling is to taste the flavors of the area. Stanley's captures these flavors with their amazing, coarse-ground grits and Louisiana Crab Cake Benedicts. Along with great food, they dish up that warm, southern hospitality that turns a good meal into a pleasant experience. Overall, I would come back to this restaurant.
google avatar

Kiana G.

Yelp
I had the vegan gumbo, it was amazing! I would have taken a photo of it except I ate it all before I could even think about it. The latte is amazing too. Waitstaff is amazing, and one of the places I've been on my New Orleans trip that wasn't understaffed. Also, lots more seating here than other places. Beautiful area too.
google avatar

Kristen Joy L.

Yelp
First off... I'm pretty sure our expectations were too high, as we've eaten here a few times but it's been many years since we were in New Orleans. On one hand, it's hubs' fault for choosing the wrong eggs Benedict on the menu, mostly because the description was closest to the one he remembered. They changed the menu when they changed the restaurant's name. He wanted the one with the crab cakes, but everything else on it "sounded wrong" from what he remembered having several years ago, so he got a different one. He said it was, "OK, not nearly as good." Way too much bread. The hash browns were also way too spicy for his taste (he prefers mild), so that was a plate of wasted food. I was limited in options because they no longer have as great of a gluten-free menu... Seems their focus is mostly on seafood now, which makes sense considering the location, but also consider EVERY restaurant in NOLA is seafood-focused... I miss their old menu. Used to be one of the only places I could eat at in New Orleans, but now it's a bit harder to navigate. So I ended up getting 2 scrambled eggs and nothing else. The eggs were flat in flavor... even adding hot sauce barely added any flavor. So that was disappointing. Our server however, was great. She worked with us the best she could considering hubs' lack of research and my allergies. It was very busy and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but they still took care to accommodate a blind woman and her seeing-eye dog who sat next to us and that interaction made me smile. Overall I'm not sure we'll end up eating here again when we're back in NOLA... but like I said, if you don't like or are allergic to seafood & if you're staying away from gluten, your overall options are limited in the French Quarter.

Yelp
In what became a very pleasant surprise for the area, Stanley was an excellent meal made all the better by such friendly help. Our server was forthcoming with his favorites and suggestions. I don't know if they were just extra generous with the shrimp in my po'boy (which was overflowing with large shrimp) or that's how they always are, but I'm not complaining. Their desserts are also excellent - try their milkshakes on a hot day to go. But our biggest takeaway while in town was how genuine everyone who worked there was to us - good people and good food!
google avatar

Curtis M.

Yelp
Extremely friendly staff, quick service and great prices. Food was excellent . Typical old fashioned New Orleans decor.
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful place - everyone needs to stop in when they're in town. The owner greeted me at the door so warmly, and sat us at the bar where Wesley had a funny and friendly conversation with me - full of food recommendations and suggestions of places to visit in the area. This will absolutely be a stop for me whenever I'm in town. Make sure you get the red beans and rice!
google avatar

Mansi G.

Yelp
So good! Must recommend in Jackson square. Def order their banana foster and latte. Vegan gumbo was okayish but I am shook by the fact that they had a vegan gumbo. Poboy benedict was amazing too.

Yelp
I came at one of the best times, early in the morning and our party of 10 that I was with, was sat immediately. I knew that morning, our brunch would be awesome, especially how welcoming the staff was to us, and how attentive they were to our order. Our server recommended multiple appetizers and drinks, and before we knew it, food came out. I ordered the seafood Benedict and the traditional eggs Benedict with a softshell crab added to it. Each dish came out to $35 a little bit pricey for eggs Benedict but you are paying for that with the seafood because it comes with fried shrimp and fried oysters, and a large soft shell crab. The crab is very tender, with sweet meat, and nice crispy not too overly oily fry, which I really appreciate. I love a good fry that's not overly oily. The bottom muffins were soft and airy, with a perfectly cooked poached egg that was runny when I put a fork to it and a creamy and eggy hollandaise sauce. I did ask for extra hollandaise sauce and was unaware that there was a $4 fee. What I really like about the hollandaise sauce is that it was airy and wasn't too overly mayo-ish. I bet into the fried oysters and shrimp. You get what you expected nothing too fancy nothing different exactly what you would expect from a fried oyster and shrimp. The ham was a little dry and overly salty. Overall, the hollandaise cuts through the saltiness of the ham. Great meal and yes you don't need any appetizers, the dish is enough in 1 sitting.

Yelp
My buddy brought me here, and it was great! Food, and the speed and quality of service was amazing. Wes and Tonya were awesome! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Was In NOLA a few weeks ago and wanted to try this highly rated spot for brunch. I was not disappointed! First of all this is a super location. Right in Jackson Square. Musicians were set up right outside and beautiful music flowed in. My friends and I were seated right away despite it being busy. We were attended to quickly as well. I got the breakfast seafood platter. This came with Cornmeal-Crusted Soft-Shell Crab, Gulf Shrimp and Oysters, Poached Eggs, Canadian Bacon, Toasted English Muffin, Creole Hollandaise. . The soft shell crab was huge and delicious. All the seafood was fresh and fried to perfection. My egg was cooked great and I just loved every bite. My friend got the chicken sandwich and said it could have been more flavorful. Her husband got the banana foster French toast and ate it all up. We were delighted with the ambiance and service and will recommend this great spot to anyone visiting the area.

Yelp
My go to spot when visiting NOLA! I always say I'm going to try something else, but I always end up getting that double cheeseburger. I love the ambiance here. The whole " everyone's a regular " vibe. Service was fast & pleasant. Will always make time for a Stanley stop. Can't recommend this place enough.!

Yelp
Good breakfast/brunch place for tourist and local. Located right by the St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. Service was great and quick. Plenty of seatings, they do have seatings outside too but there was street cleaning and still a handful of seats inside so could be reason why outside wasn't set up (yet). Came in on a holiday Monday around 9am and the place wasn't super busy yet. After eating, we went to the cathedral and park, when we were done we started to see a line. We got the seafood breakfast platter and gumbo. Not too much of a breakfast eater so didn't want to order too much. This was enough for my husband and I. I liked the batter they used for the seafood, and it wasn't over fried so that it's not super hard when you bite into it. The poached egg was made perfectly. The gumbo on the other hand wasn't all to great. It was watery and salty.

Barbara M.

Yelp
So disappointing! Went with out of town relatives and ordered the crab cake Benedict, zero flavor! The English muffin was like a hockey puck. Couldn't cut through it with my knife. If this was the first time going there , I'd never go again. But I was there this time last year and it was pretty good however I got the fried oysters Benedict. Having suggested this place to out of town relatives was a bad decision this time. So many other great brunch places. Idk if I would want to risk it again. But crab cakes? Do y'all actually taste it when you make a batch?! People expect a great crab cake in New Orleans. I would think a place like that would have a decent crab cake! And English muffin? Who's manning the toaster? I would suggest if you go with multiple guests, don't order the same plate. That way maybe someone will get a decent plate of food.

Yelp
Wonderful place for brunch! We had good service, and it was a comfortable, quiet place at the corner of Jackson square. Definitely would come back. We had frog legs, gumbo, crab cake Benedict, and the hash, potatoes and sunny side up eggs.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean and had great views from the windows. The food was delicious. I had the breux bridge eggs, like a Benedict. It was really good. The potatoes were very good.

This was one of the best breakfast stops we had on our trip. It's a hopping joint with a nice view of Jackson Square. The only knock I have is we were wedged into a tiny corner table(just a couple of inches of extra room on both sides would have been great), but it didn't affect the meal experience. We ordered the omelet sandwich and the corn beef hash sunny side up. For cocktails, because why not...we ordered the French 75 and the Stanley Screamer. I really enjoyed the hash, but wish the pieces were cut up a little smaller. The omelet sandwich was like an egg sandwich you could make at home X 100...it was so good. It's hard to beat a French 75, but Stanley Screamer did it...sophomore good! Looking for breakfast, look no further!
