Stan's Donuts & Coffee

Love the frozen hot chocolate and churro donut. Tried the new bear claw which was yummy. Service has improved in the store which is great. Friendly and responsive.

Omg this is a must try donut shop. I entered Stan’s this morning around 6:15ish and the young lady behind the counter was so nice. She greeted me with I smile and ask how she could help. I shared with her this was my 1st time in the store & I need a moment to browser the menu. So she continued helping took other customers while I was decided what I wanted. Once I made a decision I placed my order and she was very helpful with answering my questions and serving me. Her great customer service made me feel warm & welcomed. It’s nothing like receiving great service with a smile. I ordered 1/2 dozen of standard donuts and 1/2 dozen of specialty donuts and a mango dragon fruit Stan’s refresher and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious. I’m at work wired and ready. I also enjoyed the carrot cake donut it was so fresh and delicious. It even had pieces of carrot in it. Now that’s a donut. Made with love and tasted amazing. Yea, these are great donuts. The chocolate glazed cake donut was one of the best cake donuts I've ever had -- light, moist cakey, but not overly dense and sugary. The chocolate glaze tasted creamy and smooth. I also had an old fashioned, which was also delicious and buttery but the sweetness of it was too much for me to finish. Enjoyed the latte and the general ambiance. Seems like a great place to work remotely or just have a snack.

Stopped by this location today and had such great service from Tiffany. I had to leave a review! Tiffany was knowledgeable, so sweet and her level of service is truly appreciated. Busy corner and almost always busy. It is likely to wait for quiet sometime for a coffee and a small bite. The staff is overwhelmed and orders may get mixed up. The quick bites are not the best. The coffee is good though.

ordered a hazel nut cold brew. it was ok. know Starbuck's but it is what it is, i was with a friend that loves STANS. to each its own. the cashier seemed a little pushy and annoyed that i wasn't moving fast enough from in front of her register. she keep saying you can wait over there while i was putting my money away.

No clue why I keep giving Stan's a chance. The prices are exorbitant and the donuts just aren't very good. They're very bready and the bread is kinda plain, and not very sweet. The creams and compotes, on the other hand, are overly sweet, as if to compensate. I wouldn't recommend Stan's to anyone, but I know a ton of people swear by it.

Actually amazing. Make sure you get in before 4 if you want to grab a vegan donut! The coffee here is really, really good. (Surprisingly good, as I usually have low expectations for coffee from non-dedicated coffee shops.) Great service, really cute decor, and centrally located in Hyde Park.

"My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all" - Stan. I've heard about Stan's donuts from afar. I finally came and ate some donuts. Always have to eat donuts fresh in store or the magic disappears. Each bite was unremarkable. It was decent donut. I enjoyed my nutella donut, but it wasn't anything special. I'd say if you are in the area and want a little donut, come on by.

Only folks who do not like donuts would like Stan's. Their donuts are sweet while tasteless and overstuffed with "fixins". I would not eat them here or there, I would not eat them anywhere. I do not like Stan's donuts you see, they are quite disgusting to me.

From Boston. Moved here in June. My kid was fully a Bostonian Dunks kid. Now he's a Stan's kid. He loves the chocolate dipped. The Harper Ct location is great. Such friendly people and a wonderful manager. Not a donut person myself but the pretzel bagel is interesting. Bfast sandwiches are decent. Their matcha latte is very sweet so beware. Caramel latte is decent. My son Likes to come in weekly. So they are doing something right :)

They get the 5th star because they have a vegan donut. I got the Almond Croissant Donut and I couldn't be happier. It was filled with a fluffy almond cream. Why Max chose a plain Old Fashioned is something I still question. Why would you get a plain Jane when they have so many unique ones to choose from. My only suggestion would be if they had a large sign on the outside that pictured the donuts of the day. Once you get in line you need to wait for people to make up their mind. I was that someone. I had to step aside to allow those behind me to go next. It was then that I realized they were just like me, and it gave me more time to think. This spot is worth every penny.

Fabulous cake and yeast donuts!!! The cake donuts are decent size and the yeast donuts are big with a dense dough. The glazed are so tasty!! The black coffees were also really good. Service at the drive thru was quick and the order was correct. The cinnamon rolls and apple fritters are better than any bakery. Delicious!!

The Original Standwich IS ALWAYS a hit. They need a turkey product selection as well.

I got to try Stan's Donuts from their cute, pastel pink truck in Harper Court before the storefront had opened. I chose a nice assortment of 3 donuts at $3 each - an apple fritter, an original glazed donut, and a lemon pistachio old fashioned. Although I had looked forward to the lemon pistachio old fashioned the most because it sounded unique, my favorite donut was certainly the original glazed. It was super fresh and perfectly sweet. The apple fritter turned out as expected - moist, lots of apple chunks, lots of cinnamon, and heavy. The lemon pistachio old fashioned tasted mostly of lemon and was a tad dry inside. I would definitely get the original glazed again and the apple fritter only if I have someone to share it with because it's so sweet and large. I didn't get a chance to visit the inside of the storefront, but I was able to look into it from the outside and it looked very cute just like their donut truck. It'd be great to visit the storefront someday to try out their drinks and some other donut flavors.

A solid neighborhood donut shop that importantly serves pretty good coffee as well, and is thus an anchor tenant in my family's life. If you live in Chicago, you're probably reasonably familiar with Stan's locations and know what to expect. But you may not know -- and I only recently learned -- that their bagels are sourced from Steingold's, one of the best bagelmakers in the city of Chicago proper. They are still a little doughier than ideal, but have a great crust and a bit of tang and are totally worthwhile.

I actually going on a coffee shop in Hyde Park perfect place for coffee Day, the service was good and the coffee was okay but the place is beautiful !

Such a cute place in Hyde Park! They offer an assortment of donuts, each one better than the next. Tried the biscoff one and was absolutely tasty! Would come again

Great place to work with your computer. I like the variety of donuts, but the actual sandwiches and combos are nice too! I think it is the one the top sandwich (my second favorite) from the coffee shops around 53rd (cafe 53rd has more options and are good).

We actually visited the Stan's inside the museum of science and industry! Holy cow do not eat in the kitchen eat at stand best doughnuts between Seattle and Chicago and don't get me start d on tomato soup and grilled cheese! I may dream about this for a good long while! Crispy gooey perfection & the soup has the best flavor! Coffee is good coffee too.

This place is super adorable. It's very pink and retro inside. The donuts were unique and fresh. They had lots available. I got a birthday cake, glazed and cherry old fashioned. I tasted each and the cherry was my favorite. They are fluffy and nice size. The cherry and birthday cake had great flavor. They even put them in the cutest little box. Staff was nice as well.

Stan's is a welcome addition to the neighborhood as well as a sweet lover's dream. The space decor is the classic pink motif that lends a colorful element to Harper Court. The operation is already running smoothly. I recommend using the online ordering system. You can arrange prepayment, pick up, and enjoy your doughy delights in short order. The cost might be a deterrent for many; however, Stan's does have some options for purchasing a variety pack that allows the customer to sample some of the more popular fares. An excellent choice for those not sure what to try at a lower cost. Stan's Doughnuts is a sugary sweet option that will undoubtedly become a mainstay in our neighborhood.

I bought half a dozen donuts and two of them were so salty, they were inedible! One was devil's food and the other was plain old fashioned. It's like they accidentally used salt instead of sugar. The old fashioned was very dry too. So disappointing...

I ve been coming to this location to get breakfast regularly for weeks because of the rewards program. I finally got enough points to redeem for a donut. So I come this store to redeem it and I scan it . The system takes my points and they refused to give me the donut. They told me "it took my point without taking the points" ‍. What does that even mean??? So i guess this is my last time coming here

Love the interior and it is a great place to work/read or just to unwind. I had the Boston cream donut and it was a little too sweet to my liking. The coffee is good though. Will visit again and might try out their savoury treats!

Got the Red Velvet Frozen Hot Chocolate. I think they properly pulled off getting red velvet into a drink. It was rich with just enough chocolate to not over power the red velvet flavor. The drink comes with a giant marshmallow on top, which doesnt make much sense to me because I expect it to mesh with the beverage like it does in hot chocolate. Instead it functions more like a treat on the side. Kinda cool for aesthetics, but maybe cake crumbs or simply whipped cream on top would suffice. Either way, if I were a local, I'd def return for more. If you're thinking about it, do it.

Woohoo! Finally one on the South Side! This is in Harper Court. Had the Pistachio Gluten-less donut, Coconut Lavender Shake and a Lemonade Strawberry Hibiscus drink. Then had the Chocolate Pocket w/ N. & B. and a Cherry O. F. to go. Staff and service was great!

I love Stan's donuts. The inside was very vibrant and welcoming. Luckily there wasn't a long line. So, it was easy grab and go.

Great location with lots of outdoor seating. Parking...not so much; line...long (too many options); decor...lovely; coffee ahh, but guess it was sufficient; and the donuts...not sweet (so why bother eating them). Overall enjoyed the experience. Kudos!!!

Omg! My sweet tooth is really happy at this dessert haven! Take time to visit Stan's whenever you're in the city!

I just want to say, the management hasn't changed the awful music that's always playing at Stan's, and I (and others I know) go here a lot less as a result. As someone who used to work as a barista, I can also add that it is disrespectful to the baristas to make them have to listen to such trash all day. Just let them pick the music! Surely it will be far better than what currently plays. Everyone will be happier--customers, staff, everyone. There is nothing to lose and much to gain.

I love this establishment, the food is fresh and the workers are very friendly and respectful. I normally come in for a piece of quite and fresh donuts. Yesterday I came in for the red velvet donut and vanilla frappe which is to die for. Yesterday was a little too noisy for me, there was a customer yelling and using vulgar language towards her friend which became known to everyone in the establishment. The workers kindly asked if she could be mindful of other customers in the restaurant but the lady began to get louder and using such nasty language towards the workers. I don't understand why some people take their attitudes and frustration out on workers. I literally felt bad for the workers. The lady was very nasty. I was scared for the workers the way the customer and her friend was acting towards them. Because of this situation, this is the reason why I am giving 2 stars.

Donuts are great but, a little overpriced. the decor and ambience stands is so cute. They do have really good donuts though.

Aside from the great donuts...I was blown away by their above and beyond customer service today! I live out of town and placed a scheduled order for some birthday donuts through a delivery service 24 hours in advance and shortly after placing the order I updated the delivery time and received confirmation from the service that the time had been updated. Flash forward to delivery day and I get a notice that the order was arriving at the OLD time!! So I called the service and they were pathetically unhelpful (they even had the wrong number for the store I ordered from on the confirmation). I ended up getting connected to the Gold Coast store and the woman there said she would call this location to help straighten it out. Next thing I know, the manger is calling me and offering to deliver to order himself!! Amazing!!! Exceptional customer service by all at Stan's Donuts (and the donuts are epic too!!)
