"Star Brass Lounge is a low-key dive bar with solid, inexpensive bar food. But then again, we wouldn't expect less from the same team behind Loretta's Northwesterner. Packed with locals and serving excellent local beer, it’s one of the best spots in Georgetown to spend a few hours. The double-tavern burger is great, and we could tear through their shoestring fries like popcorn at the movies. Come with friends for drinks and dinner before a night out." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente
"One of Georgetown’s most iconic dives has convenient daytime hours. You can order a tasty burger for lunch while prepping for a discussion of “Dune” where you don’t accidentally call Paul Atreidis “Timothee Chalamet.” Low early, but gets louder during primetime 9 LB Porter with anything by Frank Herbert" - gabe guarente
"If you want Loretta’s burger but don’t want to travel to South Park, go to Star Brass Lounge in Georgetown and get the same exact one. It’s Loretta’s sister bar, and has a little more space and a larger menu with things like parmesan-crusted grilled cheese, steak and blue cheese salad, and a terrific pretzel plate with apples, grapes, a grilled brat, and beer cheese. They also have hand-shuffleboard, which is a fun activity for you and your tipsy friends." - aimee rizzo
"Sometimes you just want to eat a double cheeseburger and fries somewhere besides the driver’s seat of your car in a parking lot. This terrific bar in Georgetown has a large deck with spaced-out tables, tented coverings, and plenty of space heaters. It’s perfect for cozying up with a pint of Manny’s and their excellent burger." - aimee rizzo
"One of the neighborhood’s most beloved dive bars (and sibling to the equally excellent 9lb Hammer down the block), the Star Brass Lounge has a solid food menu featuring tavern-style burgers and plenty of specials during sporting events." - Meg van Huygen, Eater Staff
