The taste of the Thai Basil Salmon is amazing. Unfortunately I feel ripped off due to the portion size. This was my 2nd time ordering this meal. I assumed the first time I received such small portions and undercooked rice due to me arriving not too long after they opened. Despite this I chose to give them another shot because the food was very flavorful. This time I decided to add shrimp with an up-charge to my salmon. I also added wings totaling $38. Why did I only get 2 shrimp 😂 never again

Google
The salmon fried rice was absolutely incredible! The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the flavors blended beautifully with the rice—savory, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp spring rolls were a delightful treat—crispy on the outside and packed with juicy shrimp and fresh veggies on the inside. The accompanying sauce was the perfect complement, adding a touch of sweetness and tang that elevated every bite. Everything tasted fresh and homemade with care. Highly recommend this delicious combo!

Google
Usually really good. Today my rice is like rubber… very hard. Salmon is good. Broccoli does not taste like their usual broccoli.

Google
Considering they were slammed due to a nearby venue flowing in, the wait was not bad. The smash burgers and house fries really hit the spot, especially the red onion. Ice tea was also very nice, not too sweet but also not needing sugar either. Friend got the mango lemonade which was fantastic.

I started going back to the newer Star Fusion on Parkside Avenue more within a past month. I was use to going to the original Star Fusion on 63rd Street. The Teriyaki Chicken Bowl/Teriyaki Salmon still on point, the French Fries still be tasting good. The Strawberry Shortcake Cookie Bowl also on point.

Google
Food is not bad at all. I would advise you to call in and order your food. They are super slow because things are being prepared as you order. Parking is limited when the Mann Music Center is having an event, so be mindful.

Google
Let me start by saying that everyone was very nice. The only thing that I recommend is that they put a sign on their side door saying it’s not an entrance or an exit cause I saw several customers, including myself try to come in that entrance and no one comes and says anything to you you’re just I guess no to walk around to the front. My second issue is with the food. I had gotten some jerk wings for my husband. I asked for flats, but they gave me one flat and the rest were drumsticks and they were extremely spicy. They’re very hot. They were almost so hot. You couldn’t really enjoy them and then I got a fish sandwich That was very difficult to eat because it was extremely greasy. Very disappointed. I love supporting black owned businesses but I just wish I had enjoyed my food for almost $40 and I did that all. It maybe ur number one seller but I didn’t enjoy it at all, as far as the jerk wings they were extremely hot and it wasn’t an even flat and even drumsticks it was one flat and all the rest for drumsticks. So it wasn’t just the fish sandwich. It was just a combination of food.

My first and last time going here first off I order online and it kept giving me a error message while placing my order end up charging me twice which was over $50 the lady that was working the cashier had the slightest idea how to help she go over to the lady cooking she say something to her and all I hear her say you lucky I ain't start making it I almost lost my cool on her how rude one of the reason why I don't like supporting black business they soo damn rude then go to say she can't give me a refund right now because she cooking she will do the refund tonight and I will get a text I'm just like what ever hoping my food is worth the price and the long ass wait but anyway I ordered my food at 6ish didn't get my food to damn near 8pm ordering online was useless still had to wait over 30 mins and why I waiting I see the lady that's working at the front sniff the food as she putting food in the bag or whatever she was doing with the food yup another red flag thinking to myself NEVER AGAIN finally gets my food and was absolutely disappointed my small kids didn't even like the food that overpriced seafood Mac and cheese was horrible the chicken teriyaki bowl taste like a bowl of soy sauce the cheesesteak rolls was a bit mushy still had flour on the rolls the truffle fries was ok but as long as I waited I though my fries would be hot nope cold as a boot the honey Sriracha wings was ok but following up to the night on that refund and text message that I would get I got nothing and then she had the nerve to tell me once I was leaving with my food don't pathetic you gone get the text message just for me to get nothing I WILL NEVER EAT FROM HERE EVER!

Yelp
Don't come here - it's not worth the risk of food poisoning. Either way food is SO bad. $40 I'll never see again and bowel movements I hope to never see again. Service was whatever but damn move like a tiny bit quicker? I work in the food industry and I would get killed if I was taking my damn time to deliver TRASH food. 30 min wait for fried rice that was drenched in teriyaki sauce. Basically ordered soup. Ambiance was also whatever. Thank the gods I don't have to eat here ever again. Hate writing reviews but god damn this was a nightmare. My friends and I dropped $$ trying to eat here and all of us had to throw out our food after eating less than half of it. And all of us ended up with food poisoning. Bummer but literally would rather McDonald's.... Or food out of a garbage...

Yelp
Good Customer Service but my meal.... Not so great, just paid 30 plus bucks for crunchy rice & dry salmon.. highly disappointed
google avatar

Trevor H.

Yelp
Had the Cajun cheese fries and one of those chicken sandwiches. The cheese ruined the taste of the fries and the chicken sandwich was a bit tasteless too even if mine came with some sauce. The spring rolls are actually pretty good and probably the best thing here along with the strawberry lemonade. My friend had some fried rice and said it was pretty bad. Overall, some interesting ideas here that doesn't really pan out too well in taste.

Yelp
One of my favorite go to places especially when I'm in west Philly. The owner is such a sweetheart and never disappoint. I usually order the fish sliders or platter (gotta try something else) my daughter had chicken and a platter. I like to order online but you can go inside and order on kiosk.

Yelp
Long post alert**** Last nights date night pick up was the best spot that Hubby took me too here in Philly. When I say phenomenal service, recommendations and the food oh my God! The vibe from the owner was simply top tier! I promise you if any of my friends are visiting Philly (west Philly) or you live here..please patronize this black owned restaurant. You will not be disappointed. The oxtail fried rice creative and perfectly delicious. They have anything you could imagine and more. The taste and flavors are over the top! Their smoked greens and kale mix were the best and she doesn't incorporate any meat in them on top of that. I had the salmon fried rice as my dish...let's just say you need to try it no doubt. My husband had the shrimp and chicken bang bang with the best green beans served with it. He wants it again! The tea was so good. We had their pineapple and strawberry tea freshly made. Everything is prepared fresh there. Checkout the menu and you will see that there are dozens of options. STAR FUSION EXPRESS will see me again, before I head back to Dallas next week! My to go order will be flying back with me!

Alexis M.

Yelp
My friends and I went here because we saw a review on IG and the menu looked great. However what we got was nothing like what we saw in the pics. The Cajun fries were 2/5, the taste was ok even though it was doused in Cajun seasoning. The chipotle sandwich was a disappointment because it didn't have anything on it but the chicken, sauce and cheese. The truffle parm fries just had some dusted parm shavings on there and the Cajun cheese fries were ruined by the cheese wiz. The service was good as the staff were nice. The seating is outside which is nice for warmer months. We agreed we were so disappointed we aren't going again. Which is sad because we really wanted to support this business.

Yelp
Stopped in Star Fusion Express with my friends from NYC. It's ultimately a take out spot with kiosks to order your food. The worker was friendly and explained how to order from the menu. We sat outside until our food was done. We all ordered the Thai Jerk Grilled Chicken with truffle fries, regular fries, and an order of Cajun fries. We also ordered the spring rolls (cheesesteak, shrimp, buffalo chicken, and veggie). All were very good. But that Thai/Jerk grilled chicken sandwich. Very tasty, well seasoned (including the fries). The chicken was moist and tender. I definitely recommend this place. #blackownedbusiness

Yelp
So surprised to see sooo many negative reviews about Star fusion. I've been going here for like 3 years and even enjoyed their old place on 63rd street. I have never had an issue. Ever. Not with my food. Not with the service. It's a special treat for me and my family. I just left there and picked up some food and the strawberry iced tea and strawberry lemonade. Yum. I usually get the chicken sliders but today I decided on the cheeseburger sliders. They tasted so good and I could smell the goodness through the bag. Also got some Thai wings and a house salad. All fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and the flavors and seasoning are just right. PS I miss the crab cake sliders. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu at Starfusion.

Yelp
Service was very good. The seafood fried rice was good. Didn't seem to be the freshest, but taste was good and overall very solid meal

Yelp
Things just don't stay the same. I visited this place again yesterday because I was in the area but I feel the need to update my review. My first visit here was great a year ago. Unfortunately, after yesterday, it will be my last visit. The food isn't the same, the customer service isn't the same and I hate to admit, the place isn't the same. There's an underlying smell inside of that restaurant that typically means it could use a good cleaning. After placing my order, I sat outside for almost 40 minutes waiting to get the text notification that my food was done. After not receiving it I walked inside. They saw me walking in, took my food out of the warmer and began to bag it up. This indicated to me that the food was already done. I mentioned not getting notice of my order being ready, no accountability was taken by the cook (who was on the phone) or the girl behind the counter. As I left the restaurant to get in my car, I received the text I had been waiting for all along, that my food was ready. CYA (cover your @$$) I guess‍. I'm good.

Yelp
I ordered online: a fried whiting platter, which comes with Mac n cheese and smoky kale greens while my hubby ordered the bang bang chicken and shrimp, which comes with fried rice and garlicky broccoli. I didn't get to take pics of the food - it was an afterthought after I had already dug in :-/ BUT my platter (the fried whiting platter) looked just like the pic that's on Yelp. The taste of it was pretty good; the fish had good flavor and still had good texture (even after transporting it in a closed container); the Mac n cheese was OK but the greens were EVERYTHING - the smoky flavor sets them apart from even my homemade greens :-) My hubby enjoyed his food; his platter was mostly clean when he finished - I can't comment on the flavor though because I didn't taste anything. The ordering process was quick and easy and our order was accurate. I do think the food is a tad pricey... Overall I would definitely return, particularly for the fish and greens.

Yelp
The jerk wings were fantastic! The veggie egg rolls were not-they were luke warm and tasted reheated and that made them rubbery! The service kiosks are great and the staff were friendly! I would return to try other wings.
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice pit stop ! On the corner of Parkside and 52nd St! Loved the combo I bought! It was about $18 for the Cheddar BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Cajun fries, and a strawberry lemonade! For the price, I REALLY enjoyed the whole meal and it was very filling. The only thing is that each combo takes about 15-20 minutes to make, so make sure you have time for that!!!
google avatar

Salima C.

Yelp
The fish is mush. Fried mush. This happened several times. I googled it and it says this happens when fish is frozen and doused in water. STOP DOING THAT! I've also had fresh issues with wings. I'm not ordering anymore. I can't die trying to support.

Yelp
Good food. Friendly employees. Loved the egg rolls! Service was faster then I expected. My leftovers still tasted great the next day

Yelp
I was curious about Star Fusion, so I decided to give them a try. I placed an order through UberEats. I order the Thai Basil Salmon with shrimp, that came with Broccoli & fried rice ( 22$) and my husband order the BBQ Cheddar Chicken Sandwich with French Fries (11$). My husband was okay with his food, however I can't say the same. My meal was horrible !!! 1st thing I noticed, for 22.00 the platter was small. The Salmon was definitely over cooked topped with a very sweet sauce, that reminds me of a teriyaki sauce. Did I mention the shrimp I paid for was NEVER add to my platter. The fried rice, looked like regular yellow rice with seasoning and some vegetables (Dry as Hell). The best part of my meal was the broccoli. If you add the total of our order plus fee's & delivery, 40.00 down the drain !!! My Hubby gives SFE - 2 Stars & I give them 1 Star.
google avatar

Neferu A.

Yelp
Sweet & Spicy Chipotle Chili Chicken Sandwich I also had their strawberry lemonade juice
google avatar

Tanishia P.

Yelp
Star Fusion's meat is great but the sides need improvement. The fish sandwich was well seasoned and fresh while the cajun fries, although overloaded with Ole' Bay seasoning, lacked flavor.

Yelp
I ordered the mac and cheese from the catering menu along with boneless wings and a variety of egg rolls. My order was scheduled for pick up on Sunday at 1:00pm. I arrived at 1:00pm and was told the macaroni was just put in the oven and to give them 15 minutes. I did not receive my order until 2:00pm which caused me to be late setting up my husband's surprise birthday dinner at 3:00pm. The food was good but I had no way to reheat the egg rolls because they were in a plastic tray with the sauces and lettuce around them, so they were cold when I arrived and served them. My mom buys from here and referred me because we love supporting b.o.b's. I will definitely come back and support you just not for catering.
google avatar

Jazmyn K.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. I really did. I have tried this place about five tries because they are Black owned. The very first time I went here was the week of their grand opening. At that time food was amazing, cool. Second time the food was still good. Off to a great start. After that everything went down hill. Every visit following, I would order the same thing and it was made differently each time...how??? The quality of food or rather how it was made was noticeable. They rush the food, give you subpar food just to get orders out. Also, when trying to ask questions they get snappy and say they're too busy to answer your questions. Please do better.
google avatar

Jon W.

Yelp
I liked the ordering system with the tablets. One employee came around and helped us order which was nice. I wonder what you are supposed to tip as a gratuity in those situations? We ordered ourselves on a touchscreen, then picked up our food at a counter. Do people tip the sandwich makers at Wawa? I don't see a difference. My wife paid and I'm not sure what she left but I'm sure she tipped 20%. Curious as to what is expected. The food was good. We had some burgers and some wings. I was a little upset to find they didn't have any wing sauces that were extremely spicy. I think if wings are your specialty you should have at least one very spicy sauce. There's a lot of us spice freaks out there and when you can't find something really hot it can be frustrating. Overall it was pretty good. We sat in the park across the street and ate our meals. The strawberry lemonades were delicious and the portion sizes were decent.
google avatar

Lakendra R.

Yelp
I pass by this restaurant often. It's very clean and technically savvy. The only issue I have is the food. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the lemon pepper wings. The sandwich and wings were burnt. No flavor at all. I wanted to support but I must say I will not be going back. I just wish the food at least looked like the stock photos
google avatar

Alexis D.

Yelp
I saw a review on YouTube at JL Jupiter's page so I decided to go! You won't be disappointed! The food is AWESOME! They have screens where you can place and pay your order. Also, they can text you when your order is ready if you want to wait outside. They make it very, very, very convenient! The food has great flavor! You will like it! My favorite so far might be the Thai Salmon dish! I, also, like the Seafood Mac&Cheese too! One last thing, I really liked the Pineapple Ice Tea too! YUM!
google avatar

Racqueal H.

Yelp
This place is hot or miss. I really only go for their salads, fusion fries and pineapple iced tea.
google avatar

Nakanaela M.

Yelp
Think wings to go, but so much better. I've been wanting to go to this place for a few months but between the pandemic and being busy, I've not had the chance. Saturday evening I said I'm doing this, I walked in they had kiosks (you can also order on line) less than 15 minutes I was out the door (after putting in tip). Pros: Flavour variety (try the sweet tai basil), their boneless chicken is actually cut up breast (an appreciated rarity) and the dips were clearly thought out combinations. Spring roll and sandwiches (future review pending) look good. They do all of the major delivery places. Cons: Dipping sauce amount (to small, really tasty, but to small). Overall I would definitely recommend and hell YEAH, I'm going back soon. Kudos to Chef Jones (owner) for hitting this one out of the park! P. S. FYI the fifth star because of biodegradable containers. You can never go wrong thinking about the planet.

Shana M.

Yelp
I've been waiting years to stop at this establishment. I'm sad at the food I received. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich was bland, small and soggy. There wasn't even a good amount of Buffalo sauce. The Korean BBQ kabob was tasteless and cold. The Cajun fries were the best part of the meal and they were cold and soggy. They had more flavor and seasonings than the sandwiches.
google avatar

Monet R.

Yelp
Got the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Kebab and Cajun Fries. The Kebab is way more spicy than I would of thought but tasty. The random shredded lettuce is a bit strange though lol. Fries are mediocre not enough crunch, and a tad bit soggy.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
I went there on a Thursday, and had the crab sliders, Ormes Sean fries, the bacon cheddar chicken sandwich, and buffalo shrimp. The crab sliders were delicious and so were the crispy Parmesan fries. I couldn't ask for a better crab cake slider and fries. The chicken sandwich was tasty and above average, but the buffalo shrimp were a no go. The shrimp coating were the problem, but they were definitely large. Overall I would come again, just hold off on the shrimp.

Basil J.

Yelp
The issue I have is being charged for dipping sauce when I order wings or spring rolls. What establishment is really that greedy to the point where you have to pay for sauce even when you order things that normally comes with sauce? I think it's extremely unfair due to the fact I spend decent money with this establishment. I also had a bad experience with the customer service rep named DJ. He has a really bad attitude which makes a customer like myself extremely uncomfortable. If there's someone that's handling the customers in the front then they should be more respectful to those who are bringing business.
google avatar

Ayesha B.

Yelp
I got two platters one regular chicken sandwich with cheese fries & a fried Buffalo chicken sandwich with cheese fries. The fries are so good. Both of the sandwiches were burnt not extra crispy just burnt & the bottom buns were stale like & hard check y'all buns.
google avatar

Rahsaan T.

Yelp
I don't know why people insist on giving money away to star fusion just because it's Black owned. They have done bad business and served up poor quality food since they first opened on 63rd street. Clearly they don't care about their customers. I understand wanting to support certain businesses, but the business has to actually conduct good business. Too many people are focused on earning the public's money instead of offering quality. And I doubt SFE cares about these reviews, so what people need to do is stop going because the service and food quality is never going to improve under the current management. Go look at my review from the original location.
google avatar

Corey D.

Yelp
Service was poor I ordered a double cheeseburger I ask can I get ketchup on my burger he said it's going to cost me extra for ketchup on my burger then when he was bagging my food I ask for napkins instead of him saying ok he says let me do my job this will be my last time eating at this place
google avatar

Mya L.

Yelp
The food is amazing and they have such great customer service everything i purchased was good
google avatar

Janet G.

Yelp
Food was delicious!! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and the spring roll combo. First time coming to this restaurant and I'll be back!
google avatar

Alida B.

Yelp
I have been to this location and the restaurant location several times. Bang Bang shrimp is my favorite. The Seafood mac ia always hit or miss. I always try to support black owned businesses especially the ones in my area but sometimes its hard. Everytime me or my kids order the wings they are just horrible really bad quality. They have to do better.

Lahkel H.

Yelp
5$ Sandwiches back in sept 2020 shout-out to JL Jupiter it was a special because of it these sandwiches were amazing got the bbq cheddar , Buffalo , sweet chili Thai and original sandwich was amazing and got a free jerk chicken kabob :)) !! Very good

Fred W.

Yelp
This was the 1st time I tried this place after friends and family kept Raving I had the Seafood Mac , Salmon Fried Rice spring Roll Sampler and 12 Garlic Par wings best food I have every had in Philadelphia hand down and I have traveled all over the world

Terri D.

Yelp
EPIC FAIL!!!! Do not go, Went there today and after I waited an hour for my food it looked nothing like the deliciousness that JL showed in his video, no cheese sauce on my bbq chicken sandwich, my lettuce included the core and a single pickle slice on stale bread and my fries were cold & refried. There were at least 3 ppl in front of me who cancelled their order bc of the long wait. Want to support black business but this makes it hard

Tyron P.

Yelp
Lazy and garbage.supposed to be a cheesesteak spring roll .I don't know what u call this
google avatar

Abresha T.

Yelp
Had to try this place after JL Jupiter review but he overrated this place more than the Sixers starting 5. Got the sweet & spicy chipotle chili chicken sandwich which was more spicy then anything the flavor wasn't that good and the chicken didn't taste seasoned. Unfortunately I ordered 2 orders of the cheesesteak spring rolls by mistake instead of fries they were terrible weren't seasoned and tasted like ground turkey. Worse cheesesteak anything I've had before. I wouldn't feed the rest of them to my dogs they're going in the trash. The best item we had was the strawberry lemonade. Man wanted this place to be good won't be going back shame. Waited 40 minutes for that.

M M.

Yelp
Sorry about the late post However this is a newer business the food is pretty good I got the Parmesan fries, crab cake sliders , spicy ketchup, and a slice of marscapone cake. Ok they have this kiosk to take orders you can either print or text your receipt I usually print so I did it didn't come out right away so I asked the counter person she said it takes about 7mins next time do the text (how about Getty it fixed it's a brand new store) I waited for my order about 30-45min you get a number that was not called to inform you if your order is ready. I'm standing in the store! But when other people came in to order or pick up I would go outside until they were done and back in so finally asked were is my order she asked oh what is your number? She then pulls my order out of the warmer I asked how do you know when the order is ready? She said You have a number witch I thought from the receipt I finally got, I said yes do you call the number? Yes amazing never called. so needless to say my fries got steamed and soggy sitting in there in a container that was not vented to let the steam out; however again the food was pretty good they just have to work on some things I would give another try at some point. So I give it 3 stars because of the wait and no one asked what is your number to see why I was still ha going around and they should know that the fries need to be vented so the Di t get soggy

Jon W.

Yelp
Don't get the "salmon fried rice" it's super oily sauce on top of yellow rice . Nothing fried about it . It was so oily that I couldn't eat it . STOP calling that fried rice . It's cooked yellow rice .
google avatar

Andre B.

Yelp
This place consistently closes early, or has inaugurate information on their online ordering platform. I placed an order before they closed, was told my order was ready, and then was called from a number that no one ever answers and was told it was "malfunctioning" and that I would be issued a refund. How do you "stop accepting orders at 7:45pm" but you close at 9pm?
google avatar

danny j.

Yelp
The Foos was amazing, I ordered the BBQ Chipotle sandwich and fries . It was amazing, juicy, not dry. Staff was very friendly. My was not long at all. I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOIBG BACK
google avatar

Juniata C.

Yelp
I usually order from the location on 63rd street, today I ordered from express. My chicken Caesar salad has 2 yes 2 little grilled chicken nuggets. The grilled cheese croutons were missing and no dressing. The young lady that addressed my complaint was rude and stated oh well they must have just forgotten. She didn't offer any resolution to my issue. I'm so disappointed in the food and especially the customer service.
google avatar

Crimson C.

Yelp
I went in to support this business today. The staff is friendly and the ordering system was very effective. Most of our items were good and tasty, however, the jerk wings were definitely not authentic as they were just mixed in with clumps of the wet jerk seasoning. I would patronize them in the future but the jerk is a no no....

Dj J.

Yelp
I tried Star Fusion a few years ago (The larger restaurant) and I figured that I wouldn't run into the same problem I had back then. I was wrong. NOBODY LIKES TINY, BRUISED/BROKEN CHICKEN WINGS. I received my food and there they were...little tiny flats & drums. I mean come on, this is trash. Great sauce, but that doesn't make up for the fact that I'm eating tiny wings that almost looks like doll food. We tried chicken sandwiches as well. The bun was soaked clean through w/sauce & the chicken was over fried a little. Not much of a sandwich.

Yelp
I love the food my grandson turned me on to their food. The first time we ordered was told to call back in about a hour we have too many orders. I never heard of this, I have to admit it was a Friday. The second was in the middle of week told was told the food would be ready in twenty minutes still had to wait. I still say the food is good, but they need more help.

Colin P.

Yelp
I walk by this place all the time and finally walked in. The staff were excellent and the food was terrific. I had the sweet and sour chipotle chicken sandwich and a piece of cheesecake and a delicious lemonade. Food was amazing. Will come back.
