DO NOT GO HERE. THEY'LL RIP YOU OFF. I shot a beautiful mule deer in Sept 2025 and dropped off 2 front legs and 2 hindquarters that weighed 67 lbs. They screwed up the order, so I didn't get any of the roasts that I told them I wanted. And in the end I got only 27 lbs of meat. Where does 40 pounds of meat go? I don't know what's going on in their cutting room. I called and the lady who owns the place ripped me one. She said "everyone gets upset that they're not getting all their meat." Does she not see the connection? If she's getting a lot of complaints maybe a lot of them are true. If I could post a '0' rating I would.

After the Helene Flood in Western North Carolina, a lot of donations were sent in for the flood victims. Only a couple flood relief donation centers are still open and I happen to get a pound of ground beef that had come from your meat processing facility and it was great! Absolutely some of the best I've ever tasted. I don't know if the donation came directly from you or through someone else, but my compliments go to you for the product and my thanks goes to you or whoever it was that actually donated it! I wish your products were available close to me.

We bought a butcher pig and had most of it made into brats. The brats turned out amazing!

Fantastic quality local meat! It’s definitely worth the trip to check out what they have. We really enjoyed our steaks. I can’t wait until I’m back in Thayne so I can make another stop there.

Had a 5 pound seasoned prime rib today from Butcher Block, it was absolutely fantastic.

Literally the worst experiences of my life as a big game hunter came from this place I have been shorted every time, and what little meat i got had hair in it, if you walk into this place you get the stench of rancid spoiled meat so you can tell their sanitation in here is poor. i went here for an elk 2 years ago and a deer 3 years, now I'm processing all my own game and its not only cleaner i got over twice as much meat back. Dont go here save yourself the trouble and learn on your own it gives you the pride in the harvest these animals deserve

DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL CHEAT YOU. I killed a mule deer in Sept 2025 and brought them the forelegs and hindquarters. Not only did they screw up my order, but from the 67 pounds of meat provided I only received 27 pounds of processed meat, and that includes the 10% by weight of beef fat they added. There is no possible way that 40 pounds were "discarded or unusable" during the butchering process. When I brought this up the owner got extremely defensive and said "so many people out there accuse us of taking their meat." Clearly she doesn't make the connection - maybe if a lot of people are complaining about the same issue, there is in-fact an issue. Not only am I not receiving the roasts from my mule deer, I am being denied the honor of sharing it with my friends and family over Thanksgiving dinner. That's what really hurts. There are plenty of other good meat processors in the area. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
