Whenever you go somewhere and they make you feel like you do not belong, LEAVE, and go where you are valued!!! I’ve been coming to this Starbucks every day, but today I was really disappointed by how the store manager, Diana, treated me. I walked in with my dog on my shoulder, and we both accidentally fell right inside the store. It was embarrassing, and I simply asked if I could use the bathroom to clean up before purchasing anything. Instead of being met with empathy or even basic kindness, I was told I had to buy something first. I understand policies—but how they’re enforced matters. I’ve been a loyal customer, yet I wasn’t treated like someone they knew or valued. It felt like I was being treated as a transaction, not a person. What stood out most was that the other customers in line actually let me go ahead of them because they could see the situation wasn’t being handled kindly. That said everything to me. I still bought a $4 bottle of water and even tipped $5 to show that kindness doesn’t have to depend on a policy. But the experience left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. Policies are important, but they shouldn’t replace empathy or human decency. This store lost me as a customer—not because of the rules, but because of how they were enforced. I hope management reflects on how they treat loyal customers in vulnerable moments. I reenacted the video with one of the customers that agreed that gaslighting mean behavior behind policy is NOT okay, it is dehumanizing.

Google
this has been my designated Starbucks for the two years that I have lived in the West Midtown area. Today was horrible after a 2 mile walk me and my sister wanted to come get some refreshers our Barista TESSA was so rude We asked for the bathroom cause she said you have to buy something first as my sister is moving side to side I said OK I will just buy a cake pop really quick to get the code. She took three minutes to scrimmage around to tell me that she didn’t have any. When I literally just needed a code to the bathroom, I don’t even want the Cake pop she then proceeded to be aggressive This all know it was a horrible experience will not be back , he also didn’t leave a note on the cup

This is a busy, yet well organized Starbucks. Ran by an extremely diligent, nice, and awesome owner/manager in Diana. Soon as you walk in she greets every customer with a smile and a nice welcome. Even when mistakes arose, she was there to assist. Leaving she left you remembering her smile and hospitality. Her staff goes even a step further. Offering sampled items, custom items, and around the clock service. I recommend this Starbucks to stop by and grab a bite or even complete some work. Well worth it.

Google
I’m always greeted with a smile and great energy. They seem to put little extra love in each drink they prepare. It helps add a little joy in my day.

Google
I frequent Starbucks as a rideshare and Amazon Flex driver. This location is always fast, gets the order correct and the staff knows me by name. It's such a great atmosphere to start the day or for a mid-morning pick. Diana is always full of energy and has a great smile. Oh, let me mention the store. Always clean and organized. Right next to busy Interstate 75 and Howell Mill, it's definitely busy. The staff keeps it clean and straight. As stated earlier, Diana is always up beat, always has a smile and the staff seem to take their cue from her. They are exactly the same pleasant characteristics. Thanks for being here HOWELL MILL STARBUCKS.

Google
Service was great, they were nice and friendly & space was clean. Everything was well organized. Wait time wasn’t to long for it being a busy day. They welcomed everyone walking in the order. Overall a great location! Would definitely come back!

Stopped here today for an afternoon coffee. Went in ahead of my husband because I’m super pregnant and needed to go use the restroom while he parked the car. I greeted the Baristas on the way in and asked if there was a restroom code. They insisted that I needed to place an order first. I explained that at 40wks pregnant, I needed to use the restroom first and in fact had gotten dropped off in front because of that. I assured them that we would be ordering drinks. Both Baristas refused to give me the code, insisting it was the policy. Needless to say I let them know they were unreasonable, and decided not to spend our money there as I rushed out to find the nearest restroom. I have never been declined a restroom code at a Starbucks regardless of whether or not I’ve ordered yet. I understand policies but I also believe in discretion. This was terrible customer service.

Google
I come here quite often and have never had a problem with my drink. but today the drink tasted like straight water and i hate asking to get my drink remade but it was $8. the girl with the long black braid was amazing and remade it for me with no worries. my fav starbucks in atlanta!

Yelp
Quick pop-in for a mobile order hot chocolate at 1:30pm. Parking is not easy at this location due to so many businesses in the plaza. I was greeted by a barista when I walked in, and spotted the pick up counter easily. My beverage was ready; I helped myself to a cup sleeve and stopper and headed out. There were a few people working away at different tables, the lobby area and condiment bar were clean. I heard music but it wasn't loud enough for me to be able to identify the style, let alone the tune.
google avatar

Jamesa H.

Yelp
First impression -- outside showcases a beautiful building -- floor to ceiling windows with ample parking. Inside was a bit untidy-- floors needed to be swept and mopped along with tables cleaned. This location offers ample community seating for meetups and meetings. The music wasn't blaring which is always nice. I would like to applaud the worker who was manning the entire lunch rush by herself (2/28/24 11:34am). An additional star was added due to her ability to maintain composure, get drinks out quickly for in-house and mobile orders, as well as show compassion for her unwell coworker. No complaints with my coffee -- it was made to perfection.
google avatar

AJ R.

Yelp
It was extremely dirty and was out of pastries even though the pastry case showed merchandise, which was confusing. The girl behind the counter was friendly but not very knowledgeable. Would not come here again.

Sydnee R.

Yelp
I came in this morning the lady literally served 3 people behind me who ordered and when I asked lied and said they were mobile orders

Yelp
My daughter three treated me to a Java chip Frappuccino! She ordered ) from NY) ahead of time and it was there when I walked in Here in Atlanta ! Nice! I have a spiral staircase going upstairs looks like it used to be a pretty nice hang out but definitely needs dusting and cleaning! Therefore three stars for having consistent Java chip Frappuccino!

Yelp
i came to try the new frozen lemonade refresher! got the mango dragonfruit flavor and it tastes just like the regular refresher version but its a great switch up for hot summer months. i will definitely be getting again. also the workers there were all very happy and friendly!

Yelp
Clean place and superior customer service! The frap was delicious and a good chance I'll get another today!

Georgia M.

Yelp
the wait was really long, everyone else got their order while I waited more than 15 minutes for a caramel frap that also came with no caramel

Yelp
Hands down, One of the best Starbucks I've visited here in Atlanta. Given that they don't have to cater to a drive thru , this helps with quality service and efficiency . I'll take the inconvenience of not having a drive thru over quality service any day . The baristas are absolutely amazing and seem to be quite joyful and patient . One of the baristas offered me a creatively inspired beverage called the cinnamon latte . I must admit I was a fan , and will be ordering this great hot cup of latte again. Overall , the atmosphere is great , service is nice , clean shop , and I'll be returning in the near future :) Follow them on ig

Jeanetta J.

Yelp
This is one of the slower Starbucks. Don't waste your time placing a Mobile order. The wait time is astronomical.
google avatar

Skip P.

Yelp
Very few seats in the restaurant, literally only a single communal table. There is an upstairs section that was closed during the pandemic and has never reopened. It's as if they do not want people hanging out. It's the only Starbucks where they actively yell at you if you try and pick up a mobile order by yourself. Mobile orders typically take over 15 minutes. There are usually 10 or more people waiting for orders in the morning. And yesterday, a Monday, they were simply closed. A sign on the door indicating they were working on getting the store open as soon as possible.

Yelp
Went to this Starbucks on Howell Mill today because I was in the area. I needed something to give me a boost and the barista, Jordan, recommended I try my usual, iced vanilla chai latte with oat milk, a shot of espresso and sweet cream foam. OMG!!! So delicious! Adding a shot of espresso and sweet cream foam took it to another level. This is definitely my new fave! Shoutout to Jordan for his suggestions! Definitely ask for him, if you're looking to spice things up a little!

Chris S.

Yelp
For a Starbucks, this one is very very sad. Dirty, restrooms out of service, seating area closed, questionable service etc etc. this location is due a visit from John Tafer

Carly G.

Yelp
Won't stop again. Had to go to restroom and figured I'd get coffee and snack. I'll just go somewhere else. At least let paying guests use the bathroom. PITA and stupid.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
Very friendly , got my order correct. Super clean in the inside. It's huge as well with beautiful stairs

Holly A.

Yelp
I ordered an apple croissant and a iced chai through the mobile app I received my drink but not the apple croissant. I waited 20 minutes before asking them about the item just for them to tell me they are out of it. which it didn't show that through the app and no one said anything about it being out until 20 minutes later which I had to ask about!

Yelp
Neat! Kinda the first thing I said as I stepped inside this Starbucks location. The most obvious thing you'll notice is this starbucks has two levels, and the lovely wood and steel staircase is worth a photo or two. Upstairs there are several tables and outlets for sitting, working, or just hanging out and looking down at the customers below. This location is fully stacked with all of the starbucks snacks and drinks you're used to, as well as mugs and such you can buy. This day I got a grande drip coffee and went upstairs to write yelp reviews Although this Starbucks really doesn't look like a starbucks, and more like an independent shop, it's still the same coffee and product you're used to. Located off of Howell Mill road at the District shopping area, Starbucks is located right next door to Extreme Teriyaki. Parking here is shared, and although parking is not plentiful directly in front of Starbucks, I haven't had trouble finding parking right in front. With that said, there's a ton of spaces in this shared lot. If you absolutely have to, there's the downstairs lot that Walmart can be found at if you really are up for a walk when you park. I like the design of this location, and with it being right off of I-75, if you're around this area and need a caffeine fix, this may be a great spot for you!

Yelp
I didn't know they didn't have a drive thru. I bought a reusable cup but they had no straws. I waited 10 minutes for a resolution.
google avatar

Larry L.

Yelp
So when I went in I wasn't sure what I wanted. I asked Drew who was working behind the counter what his favorite drink was and I am not disappointed at all. Ill be coming back to try it hot next time

Michele T.

Yelp
Hey I'm a fan of Starbucks... maybe a bigger fan than most. Some may say I have an obsession. To the haters I say: Go to Dunkin Donuts!!! This location is always clean l, baristas are friendly... BUT today I had to chuckle... my name is Michele, most times people will spell my name with two 'L's... and believe me I hate it when it happens... Today is unique, but I'm guessing Meshell is another way to spell my name... LOL
google avatar

Natalya V.

Yelp
The website says they are open till 8pm, came at 5pm, and they are closed. Used my break to Drive here specifically for coffee, now have to go back with nothing.

Yelp
This Starbucks, store #10903, is located at The District at Howell Mill shopping center on Howell Mill Road at I-75. Compared to most other Starbucks locations in Midtown and Westside neighborhoods, it seems to be the most unique for the following few reasons: 1. It's two stories. 2. They have an evening menu of small plates, desserts, wine, and beer. 3. It feels more like an independent coffeehouse than a run-of-the-mill Starbucks store. This Starbucks is popular and it's not uncommon to have difficulty finding a nearby parking spot. However, the shopping center is plenty big with ample spots further away. The design and look of this store is cool because of the curvy staircase that hugs the two-story storefront wall of windows to the upper level. The ordering counter is decorated with various bottles of wine and empty wine glasses - you don't see that at every Starbucks. The display case of snacks, pastries, and treats contains a comparatively wider selection of foods to try, several of which look delicate, intricate, and visually appealing. The special menu is marketed as "Starbucks Evenings" and is available after 4pm. Small plates, around $7 or less each, consist of dishes like blue brie and apricot preserves, grilled vegetables, chicken skewers, bacon-wrapped dates, artichoke & goat cheese flatbread, and truffle mac & cheese and truffle popcorn. Yum. Desserts include double chocolate brownie bites and chocolate truffles in espresso, champagne, and raspberry flavors. There are about 10 different wines available by the glass or bottle. They include white, red, and sparking wines. Beers cost $4-5 each. Service is good. The baristas are usually on top of things and the line moves fast. Because this store sees a lot of traffic, it's sometimes not the cleanest, particularly in the restroom and upper level loft area, which is a nice getaway, but not monitored/attended to as frequently. Oh, and there's an outdoor patio too.

Yelp
I used to come to this Starbucks all the time when I lived in this area for a few months. Before dinner one night, I got to the area a little early and decided to grab a drink and get a little reading done. Since it was right off of I75, it was super convenient. This Starbucks location is two stories! I'm not sure if many other locations are, although I believe there is another two-story Starbucks under construction in Sandy Springs. I've sat on the second floor before, which overlooks the first floor, loft-style. It's a cool concept and I wish all Starbucks were two stories. Parking is not optimal, since this shopping plaza seems packed with other popular shops. However, I have never had a problem finding a spot - one seems to magically open up whenever I pull up to the Starbucks like the parting of the Red Sea... for me... ok maybe that was slightly blasphemous - but irrelevant. I ordered a shaken iced tea so I could get free refills with my Gold card (usually $0.50). The baristas were very easy about the refill policy and didn't even need me to scan twice - guess I came off as a Gold member heh. Overall, while parking may not be the easiest and the downstairs seating may not be the most comfortable, this is still a convenient location for a Starbucks.

Yelp
Came in on an early Saturday morning parking can be hell here because of the busy intersection and area. There was a very long line which didn't last long. We waited about 6 minutes in line and another 10 minutes for our drinks and breakfast sandwiches. I don't remember if this Starbucks still serves wine. But the place was cleaned. The bathroom was a little dirty. Napkins and sugars were full and plenty of sitting areas inside and out. I ordered a grande macchiato and the pulled pork shoulder breakfast sandwich which was really really good. All of our food was right and they had plenty of cold items on the shelves and grab and go drinks as well. There was also coffee beans available to purchase as well and cups shelves were stocked and the employees were nice and greeted us.

Yelp
i've been living in this area for about a year and didn't even notice we had a starbucks right here! it's sort of tucked away but when i went in i was greeted by every employee there. all of them had smiles and were chatty and friendly. i definitely want to keep coming to this location, practically for the customer service alone! id like to give a shoutout to all the workers there today: courtney, savi, morgan, and sarah. they were friendly and clearly good at their job (and enjoy doing what they do!)
google avatar

Yelp
Me and a friend stopped in to grab some tea. we were welcomed as we walked in. LISA was our cashier. Lisa was super rude. I ordered the honey citrus tea , she said "we're out of honey packets and honey syrup" as she rudely pointed to a sign that said something about shortages. She asked if i wanted brown sugar , i refused as i mentioned to my friend that my dad just said sugar while your sick is bad for you. Lisa then smartly remarks "well i mean uh .. our honey has a huge amount of sugar anyways" like OBVIOUSLY. but tea with sugar sounds disgusting. We definitely didn't appreciate her attitude , smart remarks , demeanor, or body language. We left and went to another start bucks because i refuse to give my money to an establishment that is rude to a paying customer. We definitely will not be returning.

Brittane T.

Yelp
This is my favorite Starbucks! They are always so welcoming. They even know my name and order when I come in. Love this location and the staff!
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
Starbucks!! yay!!! I always make an effort to try out different locations not only in my home city but when I travel! I forgot about this hidden gem of a location because when I used to live in Atlanta I had my regular location you know before I was a Starbucks guru. I decided to do a mobile order because I was participating in a summer challenge they were running company wide. Everything went perfectly smooth except they forgot my whipped cream. It must've been a sign that I was being a fat ass and didn't need the whipped cream. The barista who made it apologized and was more then happy to add it but I decided to Keep it off! One of the cool things about this location is that they actually have two different levels set up on aloft style type of floor plan! Overall pretty decent location! It can be hectic with parking though just because it's not a traditional standalone location it shares the space with other businesses in the shopping plaza.
google avatar

Yelp
Updated review- it must have been a bad day the first time I tried this place but it looks like the staff changed and they are very reliable and nice now I usually order ahead then pickup my order. It's 9/10 ready when it says it will be ready.
google avatar

Leah H.

Yelp
Love this Starbucks, I study here all the time. The upstairs section is an added benefit for those coming here to study. Very spacious, lots of tables, very conducive environment for studying. ...It's a shame they discontinued wine service...
google avatar

Rafael E.

Yelp
This possibly has the worst internet connection of any Starbucks I have been to. Not even 0.5mbps.

Sarah E.

Yelp
The girl that served me was friendly. However they completely messed up my order. Asked for one pump of syrup and light cream in my nitro cold brew. However, it was so creamy and sweet that I couldn't even drink it. If this were the only time this had happened I would not care that much but they mess up my order almost every time I go there and I don't even have a difficult order.

Chris W.

Yelp
Terrible look for a member of management to sustain a workplace injury and still be forced to work because they're "out of sick time". It really sucks because all the workers are so nice and sweet and provide excellent service. The store manager truly has no heart.

Lilly T.

Yelp
I came here and ordered 3 iced caramel macchiatos, when they called my name they came out hot and i asked if they could make them hot, a guy named Taylor looked at me and said "ugh are you serious" and i said you could pour them over ice and not have to worry about remaking. Straight to my face said that.

Laura B.

Yelp
This. Starbucks. Has. Everything. A worker's union! A Pride display to rival MSR! Little gay definition cards in the pastry case! A hot transmasc barista! I saw the ghost of Harvey Milk in the bathroom mirror at this Starbucks and he shed a single tear at the beauty of it. They gave me a $5 gift card in exchange for existing as a queer person. I live nowhere near this location but dammit, I'll be back.

Yelp
I have accosted this store for 4 days in a row with large orders for 12-16 people. Everyone at this store has been SO WONDERFUL to me, even when I know that seeing someone walk in with a list of drinks is deeply annoying to them. They took my orders quickly, they were helpful to me when I was being needy, and of the 50 drinks that I've ordered in the past 4 days, ALL of them have been correct. Indida treated me like a regular and acted like it was a joy to see me, every day, and she did everything possible to make my ordering/drink collecting easier. I know that Reggie clocked in early one day to start taking my order. Tasha always effortlessly took charge of the bar like I only handed her 4 drinks, not 16. These people deserve your tips. Show up in the mid-afternoon if you want a lovely Starbucks experience.
google avatar

Allison M.

Yelp
Quite possibly the worst Starbucks I've been to in Atlanta. First of all, parking is awful. Second of all- ew. This Starbucks is nasty. Paper on the floor and crooked lamps/disheveled chairs. Third of all- crowded. So busy. Lots of students studying. Someone was basically stalking me for my table outlet. She sat down before I finished packing up. Love the people that aren't even here for the drinks. The ones with bags of Kroger groceries. A guy just dropped toothpaste from his bag. Not kidding. They're just using the space and eating weird things. Fourth of all- the workers. One lady in front of me had 8 drink orders (probably for work) and although there were FOUR workers standing there, everyone just stood and listened to the lad ordering a million things. One barista was just standing behind the counter reading, one was making the drinks, and one was joking with a friend. Maybe if they were going to help me at the second register, they could have cleaned up the paper on the floor? Oh and they made my drink wrong. Sigh. I love Starbucks but no thanks. I'll skip this one next time.

Miya G.

Yelp
My local Starbucks AND my favorite in the city. Maybe I'm biased because of its close proximity to my house. The only negative thing I can say about this location is that they don't have a drive thru. It's also a little small if you're looking to work. They have an upstairs and downstairs with the downstairs pretty much being shared tables. If you're looking to do a group or business meeting you may want to try another location. The staff is super friendly and my drinks always come out just right. It's also located in a shopping plaza, so you could pretty much spend a whole day here. Lol. Check it out!

Semajè T.

Yelp
This Starbucks is always out of everything or is short staffed. I work at an office across the street and every-time we order they don't have basic things like oat milk or almond milk. They refused to make a carton of coffee first because they were short staffed , then the next time they did not have the material.., this is ridiculous... they really need to get a better supplier or something... this area is too nice for this ghetto establishment

Yelp
I love Star bucks it's very nice because I love going we usually go like every weekend or so my mom usually gets it though because on the weekends I'm a very big sleepy head loll. My favorite thing from Star bucks is probably a bagel or cake pop one more thing loll is hot chocolate! Sometimes the line is crowded but not a lot. I love how many things they have at Star bucks! I can't wait to get Starbucks again! :)
google avatar

Yelp
The last three times I went the coffee tasted terribly. It was different staff all three times I went so I'm thinking they need to clean out the filters. Even if this is the closest Starbucks I would go somewhere else.

Yelp
Talking with ur coworkers while a customer is right there ready to order. Mind you I was the only one there. Slow service when it's busy, bad service when it's not!!!!
google avatar

Chiamaka A.

Yelp
I ordered an unsweetened green tea, which is the easiest thing not to mess up. Somehow they managed to break the green tea bag and my tea is bitter and disgusting. Also, there are black particles at the bottom of the cup.
google avatar

Jacob W.

Yelp
This location is particularly consistent with never letting you down by always letting you down. You can't screw up something that's always screwed up. There are MAYBE 2 or 3 employees that know what they're doing and actually care. Usually only 1 of these people are present doing everything while the other 5 wander around looking lost or bored. 3/5 times your drink will be wrong, late, or lost. That's why I give it a 2. Just got my chai tea latte...it was just coffee with some shots. How do you mess up a chai tea latte?...it's 6 pumps of premade chai concentrate, milk, and some espresso shots.

noemi w.

Yelp
I know it may seem quite ridiculous to write a review for Starbucks. However, they are worth it! I work in the same plaza at ULTA Beauty and I order from my mobile app daily! They are so friendly! Best of all they move fast during the morning and lunch time rush! My drinks are always delicious! Please pay them a visit when you need a nice "pick me up".

Yelp
I would give this place a 0 if I could. Worst starbucks I have ever been to! All the food was still on the racks and nothing was in the display; fun fact all food is sent to stores not freshly made. Store looked like a mess. Only 3 employees working during morning rush hour which I would assume they know this is the busiest time of the day.. One was making the food at a snails pace and have no motivation to any faster than molasses. He was just standing there waiting while he could have been helping make drinks. One was working the register and didn't understand me when I ordered a coffee on drip; I normally ask for Soy but seeing as how it took 20 mins in line just to make my order I decided to forgo this. He was trying to normally the person working the register puts the sticker of the order on the cup to help out the persons making the drink.. no the case. He was happy just allowing the ONE employee making the drinks get seriously backed up. The last employee was a girl dressed like she was going to club (or had just left it, I'm talking fake lashes, boobs hanging out, huge hoop earrings and hair all a mess) making the specialty drinks. To say that she didn't care about her speed or efficiency is a huge under statement. While waiting to place my order (20 mins) I saw a total of 4 drinks make it out the door.. Call me crazy but it doesn't take 5 mins to make a drink. Whats worse is Mr. Molasses making the food was just standing there.. He could have helped her out while waiting. When one customer asked how much longer it would be after waiting 15 mins, the girl rolled her eyes and said she was working on it. I have never seen such bad customer service from a starbucks ever! Do yourself a favor and drive the 5-10 mins to another Starbucks, it will save you time and a headache!

Yelp
This is a nice coffee shop to go to day or night. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The staff is not stressed out as some Starbucks locations can be. Getting in and finding a parking place can be a problem. This is because the stop lights and turn lanes are not setup to allow an easy turn.
google avatar

Apearl C.

Yelp
I live near this Starbucks in West Midtown (this is my nice way of saying I frequent this location). Since they do not have a drive-thru, which can be frustrating, I use mobile ordering. I order from the app, by the time I arrive my drink is being placed on the counter and I can walk right out. If I am in no rush I will order the traditional way. The staff is always friendly. Every blue moon they will be out of something but always after an alternative. There's plenty of parking in front of the Verizon store (you can use Starbucks back door if you park in this lot) and in the main parking lot for the shopping center. This location has two floors. A small amount of seating up the stairs.

Yelp
Our Neighborhood Starbucks while visiting Atlanta... Two visits and both were great! Not normally a huge Starbucks fan but was pleased with my experience here! Service is quick, friendly and good to go! I like the 'Skinny' options they offer... get your dose without the excess!
