I placed an order through Uber Eats and went in to pick it up. I was met with a firm tone from a staff member asking for confirmation, which I provided without issue. The interaction was clearly tense. After leaving, I realized the order was incorrect and returned to let them know politely. That’s when I observed several employees directing obvious looks of disgust and disdain toward me, which felt unnecessary and out of place. One employee stood out by apologizing and remaking the order without issue, which I appreciated. However, this doesn’t excuse the behavior of the rest of the staff, nor the selective way in which customers are treated. As I was waiting for the order to be remade, I noticed another customer enter the store, and casually pick up their order without question or scrutiny, making the treatment I received feel targeted and segregating.
