I regret having to address this matter, but I feel it is necessary. On November 4, 2024, I visited your establishment during my lunch break and placed a mobile order at 2:52 PM. I waited outside in front of the door until my drink was placed in the designated area for mobile orders, after observing a cup with my name on the counter. Despite this, I witnessed several customers enter, collect their orders, and depart. By 3:15 PM, after waiting over 15 minutes for my order in a nearly empty store, I decided to request a refund. I approached the cashier and explained that I had been waiting for my mobile order while no one else was in line. The cashier acknowledged seeing my cup, which was both labeled and empty, and inquired if she should begin preparing my drink. I politely declined her offer. I find it perplexing that the employee did not initiate the preparation of my order, especially given that there was no drive-thru line or customers physically present in line. For Over 15 minutes. Moreover, I had previously received a three-dollar rewards card for service here before but This experience was quite disappointing again. Like where are the good workers nowndays.?

It takes 5 minutes before our order was taken. A barista kept walking back and forth and actually saw us but decided to ignore us. This is a very low standard for Starbucks.

This particular Starbucks is a perfect example of exceptional customer service! Every barista I've encountered is friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and takes the time to make sure my and my friend's orders are perfect. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff truly makes me feel like a valued customer. They remember my obvious name! I stopped ordering from Starbucks Corp in 2020 due to Starbucks Corp's political lobbying and contributions 🤮 Nevertheless, I make an exception for this particular Cafe 🌞. As a loyal Starbucks customer, I am disappointed by the ongoing service issues at your Rockaway Beach location. Customers are often made to wait at the menu board until their order is ready, which staff attribute to management decisions in a dismissive manner. This practice feels unwelcoming, and many in the community share similar frustrations. During my recent visit, despite an empty store, I had to wait while the cashier processed four drive-thru orders and prepared their beverages before completing mine. When I asked about this, I was told that the focus of this location is on drive-thru patrons. This made me feel like my presence as a walk-in customer was insignificant and undervalued. On multiple occasions, I have observed staff who appear tired, agitated, and unkempt. Many seem to lack professionalism and enthusiasm for their work, leading to inconsistent beverage quality and excessive wait times. I have received drinks that were poorly prepared, and the overall atmosphere of the store often feels uninviting. Given the rising costs, customers expect a pleasant and professional experience in return for their patronage. Spending $35 or more on beverages for my family should come with basic respect and efficiency. I am bringing these concerns to your attention because I believe improvements are necessary. There are many job seekers who would bring fresh energy and a positive attitude to this location.

I’ve unfortunately had more bad experiences than good ones at this location. The coffees are really inconsistent and most of the time don’t taste like what you ordered. A few times, when I’ve asked for my drink to be remade correctly I’ve been met with attitude and the barista insisting that the drink couldn’t have been made wrong. Ive always loved that Starbucks tastes the same every time, but I truly cannot say the same for this location. Not to mention, a few months ago I was asked to pay with cash in the drive thru because the card machine was “broken”, but “only if I had cash”. I paid with cash and was short changed.

My experience here is overall alright. The wait is a bit long and a few times I would be waiting for about a good 5-7 mins before someone actually takes my order. I believe over time wait time has actually gotten a little better. The food is overall good and the staff here is pretty much polite. I usually just come on Sundays…

I ordered a peppermint white hot chocolate with almond milk and added Stevia. Why did I get a cup of just warmed up almond milk with stevia. I can tell nothing else was added to it all n if anything else was added in the making of this drink it Def wasn't put in my cup. Lmao I've never laughed so much while writing a horrible review. Because how dumb does a barista have to be to not make the drink that is apart of the menu for months. And this is not the first time this particular starbucks makes my drinks completely wrong 😑. I truly feel management needs to watch each barista during training individually and ensure they can properly make every drink on the menu. This happens way too often, which clearly shows how poorly starbucks training, if any, exist is....

I never have any issues. I'm not sure what happened today but, I ordered a blonde VANILLA latte and I received everything but the vanilla!!! I picked it up from the drive through so I did not realize until I was already at work! ANNOYED

I met a colleague at this Starbucks the other day for a coffee meeting and was impressed by the staff here. They were polite and quite fast behind the counter. My pastry and latte were ready in time flat. The tables were clean, parking was abundant and there was even a drive-thru. Elite tip: For any customers who need it, the bathroom code is 65432 (at least at the time of this review).

I have waited a year to give an honest and fair review. I lived in Rockaway for my entire childhood through high school. My parents still live here so I'm frequently in the area. I was elated when I heard this Starbucks was coming. I was super excited when it opened but the service and the product are consistently inconsistent. The service is slow and the baristas seem annoyed to be serving the public. I can't understand why they are here serving people if they don't want to serve - greeting people appropriately, listening carefully, allowing patrons to explain their needs. The drive thru line is long and slow when you get to the speaker they always ask you to wait. Then they come back and take your order and then after taking your order ask you to wait again (and usually there is no one in front of you) You wait for at least 3-5 more minutes and then are told to drive around. The property is sometimes clean and other times there is trash all about. The inside of the store is the same sometimes clean other times not so much. The drinks are sometimes good other times not and they always seem to be out of the baked goods I want. I hope it gets better.

Put the wrong milk in my cappuccino and lied to my face it was the correct milk used while I watched her used a completely different milk while making it. Full of attitude as if she's ready to bite your head off when asking her to verify the type of milk used. I can't understand how it's four females talking nonstop more than helping the customer, have attitude and have the counter completely nasty. If this is the look visible to the customer I don't want to know what the floor, kitchen area, equipment used to make the drinks and prepare food and storage looks like. This staff obviously don't respect customer or the establishment that hired them.

The lady making drinks this morning is so rude and obviously hates her job. She will not communicate with you in any respectful manner. I'm sorry you hate your job but that doesn't give you the respect to allow you to talk to people and now allow them to respond back to you without walking away from them.. Done come here...

When thus place first opened it was great, but I'm not sure who they have making the drinks these days but I've tried getting matcha latte about 3 times now and 2 out of the 3, the latte was made completely wrong. First off matcha is green and to get an almost completely white to light green off the bat is wrong. N then the person never shook the drink and my vanilla pumps were completely missing. I urge whoever management is to please test pit your employees and ensure they care enough to make drinks properly before you leave em alone. To have to head to another Starbucks to get it made right is completely ridiculous. Train you workers! I do not recommend this starbucks, it is completely messed up, and you can tell no1 is trying.

Very unfriendly the most unfriendliest Starbucks I have ever been to ! Slow and not clear communication

These workers should not be stressing and being this slow for a location like this over here lol try working in the city, yal got it too easy. Can't imagine how it goes down in the summer. It's annoying and stupid, do better.

Just not a Fan of Starbucks. Food was so so... That mango lemonade taste like Mango Syrup Never Again

The Ambiance of this location is lovely and I love how convenient the location is to where I live. The food is on point and never disappointing always to my satisfaction especially with mobile order ahead option which makes it convenient however it's been very frustrating lately with the order ahead mobile order process. I understand that things happened beyond our control but if the store is suppose to open at 6am then it should be expected to service customers that are up and ordering during that time. There's no need for me to be able to place a mobile order assuming the app is letting me know the accuracy of opening time and when I arrive at the expected time of when my order should be ready for pick up it's no reason why the store lights are off appearing that it's closed and when I drive thru the parking lot the store is opening later than expected time. I shouldn't have to wait 15 mins or more when my order saying it's ready for pick up and the store is "suppose to be open" and it's not. This is unacceptable and if there is an unforeseen event then I shouldn't have been able to place my order mobile or online.

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to, and I've tried it 20+ times and it never gets better. They take FOREVER even when it's empty, and the drinks NEVER taste like when I get them from other locations (they are severely watered down here). The employees are mostly unfriendly. I have nothing good to say about this Starbucks. Don't waste your time or money here.

Since opening, I have had very few problems. In the other reviews, yes, one female worker tends to come across as disgruntled, but I have always looked at it as she's not a morning person. Depending on when you go, even if you place a mobile order, you may have better luck going inside to get your order. I amount this to average wait times for a Starbucks during peak hours. Lay and Kelly are the best! Without knowing it, their pleasant demeanor, especially since I'm not a morning person myself, helped me during a time when I was experiencing a lot of stress. The one time my order was messed up, I called to explain the issue and was offered a recovery card and a free drink on my next visit. The few times I have come inside, the venue is clean, and I constantly see workers wiping down surfaces. One thing that can be improved is updating the mobile app with what is not available, as a couple of times when I arrived at the drive-thru, they did have what I couldn't order through the app. I am usually at this location between 6:15 am and 6:50 am depending on how early I leave for work. This school year (I'm a teacher) has me leaving earlier where I have to stop at other Starbucks locations that are open at 5:30 am. However, I'm may change my travel route so I can still get my orders from this location.

Drinks have improved since opening, but their hours are pretty annoying. They close so early, 7pm. And they have plenty of workers, however they usually only have two workers at any given time. It's lucky if they have more. This is not enough for a Starbucks. I just waited 10 minutes to place my order at the drive thru because they are busy which I understand, however I don't understand that with 4 workers there at the moment my order wasn't taken. I really like this place, it just has some ways to go.

Who hired the tall girl with curly hair? She shouldn't be working at Starbucks she is straight up miserable. I asked her what flavor teas they have and she literally named me like two teas.. like dude it's your job to serve customers. She has a attitude issue on top of that. Oh and the best part my tea order was never made and she left so quick when her shift was over. She needs to go. We need happy and upbeat people to work at starbucks.

Worst Starbucks ever to open. Please someone help this place before it's too late. It's much needed in the neighborhood, but it takes 45 min to get a coffee. I want these guys to pull it off but corporate needs to show them the ropes fast!!!

This place needs help !! Even if your order ahead of time on the app your still waiting min 30 minutes to get your order and it's usually wrong .. They only have 2 workers on at a time and they seems like they don't give 2 shits about being there or serving you.. I don't see this Starbucks lasting long
