My friend and I were exploring around Downtown and decided to grab a quick cup of coffee. As soon as we entered the store, we were surrounded by least forty more people huddled info the store. The lineup was also extremely long, but I didn't mind.
After a while, I ordered my coffee, and waited beside the receiving counter to pick it up. I was listening for my name to be called, but nothing had been said so far. After about twenty minutes, I started to notice that people previously behind me in the lineup started get their names called and pick up their coffees, which had me slightly annoyed.
I decided to ask the barista if they were still making a Venti Mocha, which I ordered. As I made eye contact with him, he just glanced away and completely ignored my question. And so I sat in silence, still waiting. After everyone that had been in the lineup when I ordered had already left the store, I noticed a white cup sitting on the corner of the barista's counter, away from the receiving counter where I could just pick it up. I wanted to reach over and check if it was mine, but I didn't want to intrude their space as the cup was inside their working area. I asked the same barista if he could read what the name was on the white cup, just in case if it was actually mine. Instead, he just talked at me with an annoyed expression which I couldn't hear the words of because of the crowd around me. At this point I was already frustrated, and I just decided to reach for the cup anyway. That same barista gave me a bad look while I reached for it, but I really couldn't have cared less. I turned it around, and sure enough it was my drink (cold at this point). I was so done with the place that I just left, and decided to never come back.
