Me and my man enjoy going to the drive-in for date night. You get to enjoy your movie without the distraction of people walking across you all night. They have a nice snack stand with good movie snacks. We went to the indoor theater a few weeks ago, and both got sick, so it's the drive-in for me.

Elizabeth Colquitt

Google
Chill laid back spot for watching movies outdoors. Last time I went it was like the club everyone was outside the cars walking around and hanging out. The snack bar only had popcorn and a few drinks available for sell that night. Cool little vibe. Just mind your business while you’re there.

Google
I grew up going here so many memories. I've even had the privilege to take my own children here. In my top 5 favorite things I miss about the A. Getting there early after picking up wings and getting the perfect spot to park on a Friday night was awesome. Whether you grew up going there or experiencing it for the first time it's always amazing

Be prepared to not be able to watch the first movie. People arrive up to an hour and a half late, and apparently no one knows how to turn off their headlights and there's no staff to enforce people turning them off. Many people leave their car running, which means that even if their headlights are off, their parking lights (yellow) are on which still washes out the screen. People leave halfway through the movie and turn their headlights on to exit, blinding you. Snack bar has popcorn, nachos and hot dogs and Skittles and Whoppers. They're overpriced for the size, but you can bring in your own snacks. There are no napkins at the snack bar. The restrooms were very clean, but there were no paper towels, only an air dryer. TP was stocked, one toilet didn't look like it was flushing. The movie or song will start before the other, so if you have movie and no sound, just wait. Before you go practice turning off your headlights so you don't turn on your high beams 3 times figuring it out. Learn how to dial in the FM radio before arriving. Bring your own napkins and snacks, and be prepared to not really get to watch the first movie. If you park to the side and leave your headlights on, yes you're still washing out the screen, just turn them off. If you park in the back and leave your headlights on you're watching it the screen and blinding everyone on front of you. Maybe if you go on a busy night it's better staffed, but I thought going on an off night would provide a better experience. People move around after the first movie, some to leave, some to swap screens, some to get a better spot, some for reasons unknown. People arrive up to 40 minutes late for the second movie, but after that it was mostly good, outside of People turning on their headlights randomly for a couple of seconds. I arrived 45 minutes early to get a good spot, and thankfully no giant trucks parked in front of me, but they did shine their headlights in my side mirrors and blind me. I had to ask 3 different people to turn off their headlights. I don't care if you're going at it on the back seat- have fun, just please turn off your headlights. This is best for viewing if you've seen the movies before and don't care if you can see what you're watching. It's $10/person and you can being in your own snacks, so it's a good deal, provided you live nearby. Please note that the screens look small in the photos, but they're actually quite large and a good size for viewing from the car.

Google
The perfect movie theater. I have been going for years even pre Covid and it’s still my preferred choice. The most important detail I get asked the most yes they do play the most updated movie selection.Ticket prices are great, you get to pick the kind of food you want to bring and drinks and you get more than one movie for the price you want.

Moe

Google
Good if you're tryna just vibe out whether you're going solo (Me) or going on a date. Screens are very dark, so you do have to use your imagination, so I go, knowing that the tickets are cheap and I may eventually have to go to the theater to see the movie or wait for the home release.

Renita Morrison

Google
Love going here. However, some guest don’t turn off their headlights and it disrupts the experience. Really would love if the headlight rule was more enforced.

Malcolm McFarlane

Google
If there's an issue with the screen or audio, they do not assist or help. You pretty much wasted your money. The audio was delayed on the movie, so when I went around to the front I saw the front desk person in his SUV. He ignored me and drove off. They also don't have a number listed so no help there even. There was a truck with their lights on the first 20 minutes.

Yelp
Such a great gem in the state of GA! There's others I've seen and heard of before but I'm glad my boyfriend decided to choose Starlight for our first drive-in together! It is simply that, a drive-in theater. I'm not sure I saw the flea market part of the property but still a great time! There is an on-sight snack bar, clean bathrooms AND jumper cables for those who need it!

Yelp
There are many 4-5 Stars here people. You could not have missed the humongus potholes there and the unprofessional staff... there is NO way... My review still stands.

Yelp
Last night was my second time visiting. It was a Monday night. Went to go see one of them days. It was not busy at all. Traffic wasn't too bad leaving or coming. Bathrooms are decent. Usually bring my own food so not sure what the food selection is but I love coming here to watch a movie instead of the movie theaters. Tickets are $10 so it's definitely worth it because it's cheaper than regular movie theaters. The people at the front are cool nice people. Love coming here.

Yelp
This was my second time coming here and again I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the movie. The setup is verify organized. It was quick getting in and parking. Once you find the perfect spot (a must) then tune into the radio station posted under the screen for audio of the movie. We saw a late movie thinking we can buy snacks out there welp everything was closed down so be sure to take your own snacks and grab a blanket. Also, we couldn't get our running lights to turn off so every so often we had to crank up the car to preserve the battery which was a problem. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely do it again!

Yelp
If you're looking for that old time drive in experience that won't cost you a small fortune, this is the place. I came here during a recent trip to Atlanta since I never got to go when I lived there 20 years ago and had been wanting to go to a drive in for years. I discovered one at random in New York but that one is much pricier and more difficult for me to access since I live in NYC without a car. However since I was already here and needed a rental car anyway, I figured I'd check it out if I could get things set up in a timely manner. It probably helped that I went to a place for dinner that only had carry out and was on the way to the theater. I saw The Super Mario Bros movie and fortunately there was ample space. I got a decent spot, stayed for 1 screening and found that though they don't have WiFi you can use the radio feature of a iPod to get the station for sound if you want to hear the movie and don't want to drain a car battery. I listened through my ear pods since I'd not figured out how to connect the iPod through the car yet and it was definitely a fun time. It's out in a very dark area in the middle of nowhere where you're not near city lights. It wasn't too difficult to get in and out and they do take credit cards. I have no idea how it is on weekends or if you're seeing different movies or bring people along but I'd recommend going even if you're by yourself and just on a solo trip like me.

Yelp
Trip down memory lane! Well, memory lane definitely isn't as illustrious as it used to be let's start there. No concessions, barely lit screens, and reading subtitles are out of the question. I went to see the equalizer 3 and the first half of the movie was in a different language and the subtitles were impossible to read. Time moves on, technology becomes more advanced, and this place needs some serious upgrades.

Yelp
Being at the drive in was so nostalgic. Such good memories and happy feelings being there again. I went to see Black Panther and although it was a great movie, I could hardly seem certain parts. There was a huge light and it was a bit cloudy as well. I think I'm gonna watch it again in theaters. Other than that, all was well and I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
I have always wanted to go to a drive-in theater and I have lived in metro Atlanta for most of my life, but had just never gone to Starlight Drive-in. Welllllll i finally went a couple of weeks ago. I have nothing negative to say, we had a great time. We pulled in and paid 20$ in cash (10$ a person). I am not sure if you can pay by card or not, I felt like you wouldn't be able to but idk. The man was just standing outside. He wasn't in a box office or booth, so I'm not sure if he had a card reader. Anyways, he then told us which path to take to get to our screen. We drove around to the screen and parked in an open spot. We tuned into the radio station and voila... it was easy and we had a great spot. We did not try anything from the concession stand so I'm not sure how it is, I did see people walking to it though. We were in our car so we of course didn't interact with anyone. The screen played the movie and the sound worked perfectly through the radio station so there are no complaints. The cars beside us looked like families. I had heard some negative things about Drive-ins in general not being safe but we felt safe. Just a lot of other families and people enjoying the movies! You do get to watch 2 movies in a row. We only stayed for the first one because we were tired but 2 movies for 10$ is a great deal! Plus you could bring any of your own snacks. We didn't do that this time but next time I think we will be more prepared. Even for the setup, next time I will bring more of an SUV type car or truck and sit in the back with blankets and stuff. Most people were doing that and looked much more comfortable. When we went, we were just in my small car and it was pretty hot without air conditioning and it was hot even with the windows down, but going in the fall and sitting in the back with the hatch open would be much nicer! I'm not sure what we would do about the radio. I think we would either find a portable radio or try a radio app. Anyways, I definitely recommend! It was a great experience and I will for sure be back :)

Yelp
Well, this is my second time here on thw month of December 2024. Today is 12/20/1024 and we are in need of a jump, but there is no phone number anywhere to call an attendant. You should really fix that

Yelp
Experienced our first drive in movie and it was a bit too chaotic to fully enjoy but will be ready next time. We went on a weekday so we didn't have any issues with the crowd arriving 30 minutes before the showtime. It is $10 per person(adult) cash and the staff will give you tickets for your movie, which will have the gate # and the radio frequency # on it. You will drive down the path for your gate # but make sure that you match the frequency on your ticket to the frequency that is shown below the screen as there was 2 screens for our gate. We had learned the hard way as we were parked at the wrong screen and had to repark. Luckily it was easy to do as it wasn't fully packed. Make sure you know how to manually find the radio frequencies beforehand so that you won't miss out on the movie itself as our frequency wasn't picked up automatically. Also, it might be useful to actually take a portable radio if you don't want to risk having your car battery die. I did read that Starlight will jumpstart your car for you, but you wouldn't want to go through that headache. What we had issues on was keeping the radio on with the engine off. We couldn't find the radio button until at least turning on/off the engine handful of times, which I'm sure wasn't great for our car. Would recommend you know how to do this ahead of time. We picked up dinner and we made sure to pick up something that was easy to eat in a car in the dark but the restaurant didn't give us utensils. Luckily for us, Starlight does have a concession stand where you can grab some as back up. We had brought our dog and we thought she had to go to the restroom but know that there's no grass nearby. While she never actually went to the bathroom, it might be wise to bring waste bags as back up as well. We decided to open the sunroof but ended up getting bit and had bugs in the car... Half way through the movie, we finally settled down and was able to enjoy the movie. Do know that it is pitch dark so it is hard to drive through the parking lot, especially since the pavements are bumpy. Once the movie ends, exit through the same gate that you entered and there is an exit sign once you are out of the gate zone. We also had to learn this by watching other cars make the first move. Great way to watch a movie during the pandemic, but just make sure you're prepared to fully enjoy the experience.

Alivia B.

Yelp
Head a great time, I arrived an hour and a half early like they recommended but it was basically empty until a half hour before the movie started.

Yelp
Finally got around to coming here and it's better than what I expected! Movie screens are large, able to bring my own food & drinks. They have decent popcorn and butter . They gave great directions on what screen I needed to go to & radio station, the sound was crystal clear. The only issue I had was people coming in late & having headlights on shining on the screen.

Yelp
Mind-blowing experience it was, Watched Spider-Man: Across the spider verse. A bit disappointed because some peoples turned on their car's headlights.

Yelp
Can never go wrong with watching a movie in your car! Especially tonight of the premier of Candyman. It was packed but it was expected. Good vibes for family and love ones!

Yelp
There is a bathroom here. Great nite out with the kids. Great for date nite. Check out the food area its good too. This place is affordable. Give yourself time to get there. So you can get a good spot.

Yelp
Starlight Drive In has been great over the last years. It's a good outing for social distancing and a movie period. Spiderman, Quantimania, Wakanda Forever, Spiderverse, Woman King, Furious, James Bond, King Richard, Mission Impossible, Outlaw Johnny Black, Transformers, and more have been fun on their screens. I hope they include movies such as "A Thousand and One" in the future. It would have been nice to see that on their screen. It doesn't have to be a blockbuster to be a great movie. I'm currently waiting for their horror movie phase to be over since yesterday was Halloween. My initial review mentioned that they had a horror movie focus. But since then, they have been showing a wider range of movies. So, if you want to experience a movie, I recommend Starlight Drive-In.

Yelp
i love drive-in movie theaters not a fan of their popcorn need to be improved have free butter can't remember if they had beer or burgers n fries at the con-session bldg

Yelp
Amazing time at the drive in theater. Went in my Tesla model y, and seating in the comfort of my car while watching a movie was much better than seating between strangers at a theater. The only problem is that the place looks a bit worn down. I hope they can fix up the entrance lights so it looks more inviting. Didnt try the concession.
google avatar

Laneesha W.

Yelp
I have visited this drive in twice since moving to the area (well technically three times but the second time the line of cars had us rethink and leave lol) I last went to see the movie NOPE. There was one dude working the ticket area but he did an incredible job, he needs a raise! Anyways the screens are large and although some don't understand what it means to turn off their headlights lol, I will be back in the fall.
google avatar

Beth H.

Yelp
One of the last drive in movie theaters I think in the country...? Still love this experience of watching a movie on the big screen and tuning in your radio to the station for the movie. Hope this place doesn't shut down and we can keep it open. One year for Father's Day they had lines and lines of cars backed up waiting to go to the drive inn which was pretty cool. Older movies but late night showings too.
google avatar

Madison Y.

Yelp
This is a great summer activity! The movie starts right on time so be there early as the line to pay can be rather long. It's best to park on the side of the screen further from the entrance because of latecomers arriving and leaving their lights on. It would have been nice if employees could check the lots during the movies to ask people to turn off their lights as it can be rather distracting for the other customers. When I went they were showing two of the movies twice in a row for a total of only 4 available movies instead of 6 which was a little disappointing as I had no interest in the other 2 films that were available at the time of the second showing. Overall great experience and will be returning next summer!
google avatar

Alycia H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the drive in. Super cheap family night out. I don't really have any complaints besides the fact that we couldn't figure out how to get out once the movie was over. lol We followed the big exit sign but the gate was chained closed... so we ended up driving out the entrance. (YOLO)

Yelp
There's still a mild allure to drive-in movies. I suppose pandemic makes this sort of setting an acceptable alternative to sitting in a potentially contaminated movie theater. Make no mistake, I like the whole drive-in movie thing. I have a handful of complaints about the facility: First, the folks taking the money at the entrance were un-masked. And in my window. Not cool. Second, the concessions seemed to be lacking. I'd like to see more stuff and more variety of stuff being made available to patrons. Why there isn't someone walking up and down the aisles of cars with a cart filled with bottled water and other sundries is a mystery to me. I suppose people are used to bringing in their own nosh-ables with them. I was not aware we could do this. Third, some people don't know how to run their radio without also leaving their car running. Or maybe they're keeping the heat/ac on during the movie. I don't know. I wish they would tell people up front that they should turn their car off. There's nothing worse than trying to watch a film while breathing the exhaust from the dude next to you. On the plus side, the price tag is especially reasonable for their double-feature movies.

Loving M.

Yelp
no customer service, there was a car blocking us from seeing by turning on his headlights directly on us and our screen l.
google avatar

Joi M.

Yelp
I went here earlier this year. I was not able to stay for the movie. My car radio shuts off after a few minutes when the motor is off. I thought there would be outdoor speakers for those who wanted to watch the movie with their windows open or sit outside their vehicles. I was not able to hear the movie because I didn't have a portable radio. I left early. The parking and theatre area were so dark, there were not enough overhead lights. I had to drive very slowly and turn on my brights to see my way out of the parking lot. Cars were parked at least one full parking space a part and the staff was very clear giving us directions on where we should go to park. Some moviegoers who were parked in the back area of the lot were standing outside their vehicles. The staff I saw were wearing masks and there were temperature checks as people drive to enter the parking area.

Yelp
After coming here for over a decade, I can't believe I never wrote a review for this place before. As a family who can run up an $80 bill in snacks alone at the theatre, I LOVE a drive in. I can bring in my mimosas and snacks and have my loud ass kids in the back on their iPad and Studio Beats zoned out. Any mom knows ... that's family date night goals right there. Pricing at the time of this review: Kids under 9: $1 Adults: $10 In a time when y'all theaters are trying to get rich quick, that's a plus. There used to be grills where you can BBQ, but I no longer see them... COVID ?? Although there were past violent incidents, I've never experienced it (knock on all the wood). Important: If you need a jump, pop your hood and wait until they make their rounds! Do NOT walk up to anyone's car asking for a jump. I heard that's how the last shooting occurred. Have fun and drive safely.
google avatar

Tandra C.

Yelp
We had a good time. It was different going here during the pandemic but also a good outing. The allowed people to bring in their own snacks which I thought was awesome while so much is going on. The staff were friends and the bathrooms were clean! The only thing I didnt like was that the customer kept having their car lights on during the movies which was pretty annoying. It made it hard to see the movies.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been visiting this establishment since i was a kid. A must visit!! Bring snacks and a comfy pillow!!
google avatar

Allen D.

Yelp
Cool experience if you've never been. The sound for the movie is transmitted via radio. The screen determines the station. Many people back in and sit in the backs with the hatch up or in truck beds. The snack bar and bathrooms are conveniently located in the middle. The movies are good quality. The only complaints were that the smell of weed was pretty strong and the parking lots for the movie are long over due for repaving and re-striping.

Yelp
I was hoping to catch Wakanda Forever, so we all piled into the car to check out the drive in. The line to get in was really long. It wasn't unexpected since it was opening weekend, but I was surprised that there was no one directing traffic at all. After an hour of waiting to get in, there were employees screaming that the show was sold out. It would have made so much sense to put out signage or have someone before the turn off. Since we'd driven quite a ways to see the movie, we decided to wait until the next show. That was such a mistake. We waited in line again, paid and went in to watch the movie. The concessions stand was underwhelming. Not only were the choices few and far between, the food did not taste good. The popcorn was stale and the hotdog bun was dried out. As we were heading back to the car there was a big boom and flash of light. Turns out someone hit a transformer. An employee instructed everyone to return to their cars and exit in an orderly fashion. As everyone was exiting, the employees were being surly and attempting to give everyone a rain check rather than any refunds. All in all, I just wanted to leave so we exited as quickly as possible. Overall, it was a hugely unpleasant experience and I have to say I cannot understand how they are still in business. I wish there was an option to give zero stars!

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend went to Starlight this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been living near Starlight for the past 2 years and thought I would give it a try. It was the cutest date night! For $10 per person, u get two movies (you just have to move your car to another screen if the second movie isn't playing on the same screen as the first movie you chose) . The movies are clear and all you have to do is tune in the the radio station. I recommend buying a cheap radio from CVS so you don't have to keep your car turned on the whole time. There was a sign that said "we do free jumps " so I imagine that after watching 1-2 movies, peoples cars need a jump. We also brought a few blankets to keep warm and only turned the car on when we needed to warm up a bit. They offer snacks and the bathrooms are clean although the bathrooms do get full in between movies (which is to be expected). I will definitely be back! For more fun things to do in Atlanta, follow me @travel_bae_whit. !

Yelp
While I absolutely love a good drive in movie. Starlight drive in on Moreland Ave dropped the ball when it came to the Wakanda Forever Movie. If you want to waste your time going to see it that absolutely your choice. But, I will warn you that you will be disappointed...not at the movie! But the movie screen. We watched the first half of the movie and didn't know what was going on because the movie was too dark to see anything. Whomever was in charge of the movie dropped the ball because the lighting was terrible. I may have to go see it in an actual movie theater to see what happened in the first half ‍. Starlight I need you to do better. With the amount of business you all bring in, no one wants to waste their money on a popular movie to see a dark screen. All of the other movies were nice and clear and bright. Why wasn't Wakanda Forever???? Please make it make sense....
google avatar

Allison R.

Yelp
Loved it. I'll never go to a normal theatre again, you can't beat being able to bring all the food and drinks you want, pillows and blankets, laying all the seats down in your SUV and enjoying a movie. Totally prefer the drive in over sitting in a theatre and paying for overpriced snacks etc
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
I will never come back to the driven theater. WHY, because the concession stand was closed! This is so jacked up. Customers were standing outside waiting for more than 30 minutes before some came out to tell them. The guys at the gate should have told everyone.
google avatar

April W.

Yelp
Starlight Drive-In is the only drive-in in Atlanta that Im aware of and definitely the most popular and long-standing. I have been here many times pre-Covid and once during. Before, the concession stand seemed to be open longer, but I could be wrong. The prices are still very reasonable & its a great theater to take the whole family to. If you have a larger vehicle I would recommend not parking in the first few rows so you are not blocking anyone's view. Also dont leave your trunk up in order to sit in the back because that obstructs other's view. I also recommend arriving early if you are going to see a new movie or going very late at night. The parking lot can fill up fast & good parking will be scarce if you arrive last minute.

Yelp
So I'm going to preface this review by saying that I've never been to a drive-in movie theatre so my review is biased. HOWEVER, I will say that I am keen enough to know a good experience from a bad one and I definitely had a great first experience. OKAY, so we got there a little late because we decided to grab dinner to eat while watching the movie. We went to see Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and I was nervous we may have cut it too close, but we ended up getting there about 10 minutes before the feature film began. The lot is a good space and holds at least 6 screens - but don't quote me. Other than people still setting up AFTER the movie had started, we had a very positive experience. Yes, sometimes people's headlights reflected on the screen and MAYBE I had to get out of the car and put my hand on my hip like a cranky old lady to get our neighbors to turn their headlights off but hey, these things happen and obviously people aren't maliciously trying to bother other patrons. I was amused and very fascinated with families who came with grills, lawn chairs to sit outside of the car, sleeping bags and pillows, and all the other comforts that I probably wouldn't have thought of for a first-timer. We ended up staying for the second feature film which was Ready or Not (both of the movies we watched were scary/thriller genres). Both of the movies kept us entertained and I'm glad we stayed and for $9 - you can't go wrong! Whaaaat? As far as the facilities: * The bathrooms were clean. * The concession building was clean. * The staff we dealt with were friendly. One last thing: Back home, the closest drive-in movies only showcased older movies not new ones. So I really liked that this drive-in had new movies that just dropped.

Yelp
This is my second DRIVE IN theatre I've been to. (First one in California). I was suggested to attend from a client whose in grad school & hinted that I should arrive early due to long lines! And there was definitely a line, nothing but 5-8mins of waiting. I recall pulling up a little shy after 8:10pm for the 8:30pm showing and pulling up to find a park just in time for the first viewing. Line was quick and curtesy (THEY ACCEPT DEBIT/CREDIT ) If you've never attended a drive thru usually there are two movies you pay for with just one price. It was the same here. Two adults= $18 , walk to the consecución which was quick, little to no line ($5 minimum to use card for snacks though ). I gave it 4 stars due to the fact the marquee wasn't working properly. So many bulbs were missing, it would have been easy to miss if it weren't for the long lines. I'm really big on companies advertising brands thoroughly and like a complete picture. It pet peeved me ‍

Yelp
A lot of fun and hard to find a good drive in! I would recommend they have a way of playing sound or renting out small radios so cars can turn off with automatic lights! But other than that amazing selection of movies with 3 screens.

Yelp
Went for a 9pm showing, the staff were nice and efficient getting everyone in. Unfortunately screen 3 does have a little light pollution so it's kinda hard to see. Also found out my trucks driving lights turn on with the radio so double check that before you go. No one wants to be that person who ruins it for others. I do wish they didn't let little kids into rated R movies; there was a toddler in the car next to us who screamed for an hour straight until his parents finally left. Overall, B+ date night experience and would go again! It's also right near sonic which is a potent combo!

Yelp
So its Friday night and my girlfriend and I were looking for something to did amidst the coronavirus outbreak..She came up with the great idea of coming to a drive inn movie theater. The entry price is very reasonable, for two adults the price for 2 feature movies was $18..Thats the entry price for most regular theaters for one person viewing one movie. That fact alone is worth 5 stars to me. The second thing is we were able to bring in our own snacks, food and drinks, saving even more money. Next the movie screen, was huge and the sound, depending on you vehicle radio system is great. Get there early so you can get a great spot. I read a few other reviews and so people complained about other people leaving there head lights on, the same thing happened during my visit, unfortunately there isn't a head light security guard. I did not have to use the bathroom, but reading other reviews they seem decent!! Would definitely come again..

Yelp
This is maybe the only drive in movie that still exists in 2018 and it's totally worth it! You can bring your own food and the directions are very clear as to how to listen to the movie and how to watch at your designated screen. Having a car with retractable back seats and a lot of trunk space is optimal but you'll have just as much fun in the front seats! This is the perfect date night location in Atlanta!

Yelp
As someone who goes to the drive in a couple times a month since I have a 2 year old , I was mortified to walk in the bathroom after the 12:20 flash to a couple having sex in a stall! I can only imagine if I had my daughter with me but this is absolutely disgusting and needs to be handles!

Yelp
Don't waste your time here unless you have a portable transmitter radio. We came on a Friday night expecting to watch a movie but then my car battery died about 5 minutes into the movie. We waited 30 minutes for a guy to come jump start my car battery. In the cold. Because they "got really busy at the front." Like wtf? I spent almost $20 and missed 30 minutes of the movie because of the morons that work here. After my batter was alive again we just left. What's the point of watching the ending of the movie when you've missed all of the beginning? When we got here there was also no advice or direction as to what to do or where to go. As first timers, that would have been appreciated. I will not be back. I'd rather spend the money at a normal theatre.

Yelp
I had a great time at this drive in. A few people didn't follow directions and turn their lights off, so I had to call the front office, but they came and had them turn their lights off

Yelp
Affordable nostalgia that's a bit of a drive outside the city. Even more necessary during a pandemic. Their projectors/screens could use an update as the picture quality is faded and not sharp. They also start the movies about 7 or 8 min before the actual listed time, so get there early.

Yelp
The Starlight Drive-In Theater is a fun place to go on a date, with your family, or a group of friends. I love going to see a drive-in movie and have enjoyed doing so here on several occasions but due to a recent experience I had, it may be a while before I'm back again. I'll start off by saying that the prices here are great and given that this not your everyday experience, I would definitely still recommend trying it out! However, the last time I went, there was very little monitoring of the area around the screens to ensure that all cars had their headlights turned off. This caused major issues with us being able to watch the movie and despite calling the front office three separate times, it was never resolved. We ended up leaving Starlight in the middle of the movie because we couldn't see any of it. The box office staff was kind enough to refund us for our tickets and while I appreciate that, it would have been better for all involved if the situation had been handled appropriately in the beginning. There needs to be better monitoring to ensure people are following the rules of the drive-in because issues like these affect the overall experience for everyone.

Yelp
I love coming here!! It's such a fun time for a family gathering or first date! The concession line moves quickly and efficiently. When we first got there the light to the women's restroom was not working, the employees checked and fixed it very quickly. Before it got dark everything was taken care of. I suggest getting there early, before they open so you can pick your spot.. and sometimes there is a line of cars to come in! I love that things like this stay open and hope to see more of such a nostalgic activity!

Yelp
Starlight is one of the cheapest ways to have a good night out! Paying for a ticket gives you admission to one of the three screens which plays two shows each evening. The parking spots are angled up, so your car will be comfortably angled upward. Just recline your seat and relax! Make sure beforehand that your car is capable of playing just the radio without turning on the lights - and if the radio automatically cuts out as it did on our Nissan Sentra you might have to turn it off and on again. I wish that they would label the screens so that you know which is which. The only hint you have to go by is the radio frequency displayed below on the bottom of the screen and the vague instructions on which screen is which... We watched Star Wars Episode IV and Moana in the same showing. The value was quite good and since we had a smaller car we got nice seats right at the front (SUVs are asked to park at the back in order to avoid obstructing others). It was too cold to sit outside, but I can imagine that being pretty popular with lawn chairs as well. Be careful about your battery! It can take a while before someone helps you because they wait until all the guests clear out before helping you. Unfortunately, the washrooms are quite disgusting. Try to use the washroom before you get here! Overall, I think the drive-in theater is great value for your money.
