"While Stars probably won’t be winning any awards for its food anytime soon, it does take the coveted niche spot for “Best 24/7 Restaurant Near Campus” by default. This diner in a Days Inn parking lot has been feeding students pulling all-nighters and post-bar goers since the 1960s, previously as Star Seeds, before a change of ownership in late 2019. Expect to find classic diner dishes like breakfast plates, chicken fried steak, burgers, and quesadillas, plus a menu of sweet cocktails that you can order in 60 oz fishbowls. photo credit: Stars Cafe" - Nicolai McCrary

An impeccable restaurant under the direction of Chef Gregory James. We came here for my wife's birthday dinner. We were treated to a delightful prix fixe dinner in which every single detail was executed to perfection. This is truly a five star dining experience without the overpriced stuffiness of nearby award winning restaurants. Service was attentive and worthy of special note. The location can only be described as idyllic and breathtaking. A perfect evening indeed!

Incredible views, food was delicious and service was extremely attentive. Enjoy a bit of cinema history while dinning at the location of one of the most iconic comedy's of our time.

Read about the chef and the restaurant on some website a few weeks ago. Dinner was ridiculous. Just amazing food. Amazing service. Ate outside and what a great location. All in all, top class. Well worth the trip. Each dish was delicious, and the presentation is amazing.

I have been to this restaurant many times over the last 7 years and it’s appalling how bad the food was this time around. $175 per person for dinner and each dish was bad, overcooked, dry and so damn overpriced. I remember spending 2022 New Year’s Eve and the food was amazing. They definitely need to step up the game as this price range, I have had better food through out the world and most of the restaurants in this price range were Michelin star level or at least executed exceptionally. If you are looking for good food in St.Michales go to Ruse instead.

Love going to Stars on a beautiful weekend and grabbing brunch outdoors. Such a gorgeous setting, friendly staff, and relaxing views. After brunch, we stay a bit later and do a toast with everyone before heading back home. Great memories and big cheers to many more.

How hard is it to make a decent breakfast? Too hard for this "5 star" resort, apparently. Scrambled eggs so runny they puddled on the plate. French toast burned on the outside and completely raw on the inside. Otherwise decent bacon brushed with an unfortunately sweet glaze. Multigrain bread was too hard to figure out, so they sent out white toast instead. It looked perfectly toasted, but it was cold, cold, cold, making the even colder butter completely unspreadable. Even the two little homemade jams were a failure -- too runny to spread with a knife and the little pots too small to admit a spoon. Uh, no.

The breakfast was unimpressive, honestly I'd recommend walking into town instead. The coffee was outright not good, and the food both days was just okay. I would be giving the place a 4 star if not for the second paragraph here. If you're staying here and looking for breakfast, head over to The Blue Crab or Sprouts instead. All that being said, the dinner was simply outstanding, one of the best meals I've had in years. The service is impeccable, the menu was fantastic and creative, the course layout was impeccable, the service was fantastic, the wine list was good, if not outstanding, and covered a ton of ground. The ambiance was terrific, if a hair stuffy, and the views are spectacular. Couldn't recommend it enough for a dinner experience.

Very slow service. Food was worse than mediocre. Duck breast was tough and flaccid -- no sign of of a crispy skin. Wife's chickpea croquettes were flavorless and dry as a bone -- calling out desperately for a sauce. The apple tart dessert as also dried out and sickeningly sweet. Very expensive and very disappointed. Never again.
