Brewpub Station 18 Planned for Historic Ballard Firehouse Building - Eater Seattle

"A new brewpub named Station 18 Drinks and Eats will open by Labor Day weekend in the historic Ballard firehouse building. The venue will offer pub grub, pizzas, 12 beers on tap, and cocktails. It aims to be family and dog-friendly, with big screens for sports watching and a casual vibe. The building, with a striking facade and rustic accents, was built in 1911 and used as a firehouse until 1976. The Hi-Life, a former occupant, maintained much of its original character, and the new owners plan to do the same." - Gabe Guarente

Loved the cool atmosphere, like a converted fire station and steampunk decor. The bathroom was a little difficult to find and dark. It's an old building, so it's understandable, but I think the signage could be improved. The food was a little greasy for my personal taste, but overall good. Looks like a cool place to get a drink or attend an event they host.

I went here with friends for a Friday night. The building was formerly a fire station. The interior was bright, warm and inviting. Their wait staff were pleasant and gracious. There was plenty of seating, though most filled up by the time we left. The dinner menu had a lot of options, with a few selection of vegetarian options. I tried their rotating pizza which happened to be vegetarian that night and absolutely loved it! It was fresh and delicious with a nice flavor combination! If you’re in Ballard, this is a great restaurant to check out! I’ll definitely be going back! 🙂

Pretty cool place with quite a bit of seating. We had the spicy chicken wrap and the chunky burger. Both were good. The wrap wasn't very spicy but was big and filling. I'd probably try the club or blta next time, though. The curly fries were a nice touch. We arrived after two big parties and were told we would have to wait a bit for the food, but it actually came out pretty quick. It was pretty loud, so if you're looking for something quiet peek in first and see if there are lots of big groups.

So many tasty food and beverage options. Situated inside an old firehouse, they have a full bar and plenty of seating for everyone. We decided to have my graduation dinner here and they were able to take reservations for a large group. They also have a few large tvs in the place so you can watch the local sports games while you eat. There is also a stage for live music and the establishment is also welcoming to families with kids. I tried the firehouse steak sandwich on chibatta with curly fries, which had a nice kick off spice without being too hot. The steak was really tender too! They have a two version of this that I'd love to try next time. The apps we tried were also amazing, like the fried cheese curds and Brussel sprouts with the bacon jam. Great food, great service. I'll certainly be back.

Had so much fun at the soft opening! The staff were funny and friendly - even with all the stress of managing their first shift with a full house! Drinks and food was really good, and they have vegan cheese on the menu for their wood fired pizzas!!! Can’t wait to go back! (Also loving the steam punk feel of the place with the new lighting and pizza art).

I love this place! I come here pretty often for happy hour. Everyone working here is really nice! Danielle is awesome! All the drinks are great (and a really good price, especially for Ballard), I always get a Peachy-O and some shareables. Definitely recommend!

We have now been twice and plan for this place to a weekly visit. This place has a kid friendly friendly atmosphere in the dining room, a separate bar for those who don’t do the kid thing and damn good food. Our daughter loves the spaghetti, son the burgers, hubs the fish and chips and I am obsessed with the halibut. Perfectly done. They make a great martini too.

I enjoyed the pancake breakfast which included eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and pancakes, which is perfect. We were seated right away during weekend brunch hours. The atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly.
