Wasn’t busy at all, which I was thoroughly surprised by. We went around 9:30 and got a table right away. Lauren, our server, was awesome! Great service, checked in adequately, and attentive. Nice thing about this place is the menu is served all day, and it’s got a lot of options. I got the chicken and waffles, my wife got the chicken and biscuit meal, and our friend got the berries and waffles. The interior was nice and open. When we got the food, my chicken was good but pretty salty. The waffles were good waffles, just regular buttermilk. It came with this really good syrup, and all the together it was all very flavorful. Everyone else said the food was delicious. Overall, nice place and we were basically the only ones there so it was nice and quiet. Not from Utah, but I’ll come again next time we’re out here.

Google
4.5 stars bumped to 5 for the service alone. The food was good, my wife and I shared a burger and got the mixed half and half sweet potato and Cajun fries, Mac and cheese, and funeral potato balls. We ended up bringing the rest of the funeral potato balls home and they were good until the roster over the next day. Overall we would go back, it’s a little pricey but the quality of the food is good and the flavors are solid for Utah county.

Google
Really great food and atmosphere. About 10 min in to our food my wife said, “I’ve found my new favorite restaurant!” We’ll be back for more!

Google
This was all around a great restaurant, might be biased since I got engaged right after we ate there😂 The food, especially the Mac and cheese, was fantastic. Our waiter was adorable and fun. And the vibe of the restaurant was so cute and aesthetic

UPDATE: We went to Station 22 recently and it’s still one of our favorite restaurants in Provo!!! We got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was SO good. As always, there was excellent service and a nice atmosphere. This is our second time eating here and we love it. The food is a little pricier, but the portions are good and the service is always excellent. It can get quite crowded, so call in advance! I would recommend the steak salad and the Jack Kerouac burger!

Google
I forgot to take a picture because I was so excited to eat my meal! This place is delicious and the service was great! (My cup was always full which is an automatic win) Such a fun twist on southern classics. The deep fried funeral potatoes were my highlight definitely order those. I also got the Jack Burger and my husband for the chicken fired steak and both were delicious. We left full and happy!

Google
Our server Abby was incredibly patient and welcoming! The Jack Keroac burger was our favorite-- get it with sweet potato fries!!! But we also got the berry crepe. Portion sizes are large so come with an appetite or a friend.

Google
Came here this past weekend. I ordered the steak and frites. It was cooked well and was tasty! My husband ordered the wings. He said they were hot and the price was great. He also ordered a side of Mac and Cheese which was tasty as well. For dessert we had the beignets which were warm and delicious! The place looks great! I’d come back for sure.

Yelp
I've been here for dinner and brunch now, and it's one of my favorite places to eat in Provo! It has the classiest ambience. For fine dining, it's very reasonably priced as well. For dinner, I got the mac & cheese appetizer with their fried chicken, and it was the perfect portion size! Everyone else at my table raved about how good their food was, so we all recommend any of the fried chicken sandwiches or salads! For brunch, I split the farmer's breakfast and the Belgian waffles with my sister, and both were absolutely divine. The waffles in particular were so light and fluffy, perfectly cooked. The biscuits are a must as well! Very buttery, perfectly salty. Oh, and did I mention their sodas are to die for? Most of them use cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, if you care about that kind of thing. The caramel apple soda was a favorite at our table! The service is fantastic as well. Mostly young adults, all very attentive and professional. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
They were out of almost every drink flavor we wanted. The steak sandwich was a slab of uncut, thick steak that made biting into it impossible. It was good tasting but nothing too special. The poutine and their fries in general were delicious but don't expect authentic poutine. Great decor, cleanliness, and friendly server but overall wasn't impressed.

Yelp
Absolutely disappointed. We waited for about an hour and 15 minutes, maybe an hour and a half. 5 soda refills later our food comes out. The chicken pot pie was so salty, Luke warm at best, and I'm honestly not entirely sure the chicken was cooked all the way through. I would have thought the wait was due to the pot pie cooking but was very mistaken. I picked out the chicken and tried to eat what I could because I was starving, but was pretty off put but the meal. We had a part of 4 and 2 of them ordered salads. This place is so cute, but honestly an enormous bummer to have traveled from out of state and had this experience.

Yelp
Set in a quaint historic building, the atmosphere is chill and inviting. The stag is very friendly with smiles all around add to the atmosphere. We hat the Black berry salad and the Nashville chicken sandwich. Neither one disappointed. Later enough portions to take and have later is great far anyone staying at the surrounding hotels.

Yelp
This is a cute little restaurant. My sister and I both got the 22 club and loved it! It was a great portion size. We both got sweet potato fries with ours which were good, but could've used a little salt. Their fry sauce was not my favorite but to each their own. We got seated really quickly after getting here on a Friday evening which was amazing! Our food also came out pretty quickly. The only negative thing I have to say is that we were sitting waiting for a while after we finished eating for our waiter to come back over to us. Other than that the staff was super friendly and the food was good!

Yelp
They said their mac & cheese was the best in Utah two years in a row, so I gave that a try. The mac & cheese had some crumps on top that went well with it. I liked the texture, too. This was definitely better than the average mac & cheese out there, but I would choose other food over this. I also got some waffles. They are very fluffy, and I liked the buttermilk syrup they have. The sweetness was just right, better than the regular syrup. We had a party of 19, and they were accommodating and found a spot for us to sit near each other. It was a little crowded, though. A big shoutout to our server, Trevin, who was very friendly and helpful. However, I wished they had one more server for us because it took a long time for everyone to be served. Overall, they still provided great service, considering the big size of our group.

Yelp
I've been here twice and it's a nice place to gather with friends and family! There's a bunch of different dishes for everyone and the place is well-lit, spacious, and well-decorated! The food is all good too of course. Would definitely recommend coming here for date night or with a group!

Yelp
Station 22 is one of very few southern restaurants in the area and it's on center street so it's a fun location. I do hope in the future something of slightly better quality arrives. The options on the menu are diverse and delicious sounding but unfortunately the quality is lacking. Our food also took almost an hour to come out and the restaurant was not even a quarter full. Our server was kind though. I ordered the chicken fried steak (something I loved eating as a kid) and the meat was cooked nicely but the flavor was lacking. There were very few green beans in my gravy soup - I was expecting more green beans with a topping of gravy. The gravy had great flavor though. The pickles were neither crunchy nor salty and were a large let down as well. Especially when you pay $2 for about 8-10 chips. The kids meals was great for my toddler but I found it to be pricey ~$9 after tax. My father ordered the Cobb salad and said it was the worst he's ever had. Parking on center st. Can be difficult so plan to walk a few blocks.

Yelp
The Mac and cheese was out of this world. But honestly, the highlight was our great server, Trevin. He was funny, attentive and such a kind guy. I honestly have not had such a personable server in a long time. My sandwich was average but I'm so glad I got a side of Mac and cheese so it made up for it.

Yelp
We've been here three times. The waiters are always friendly, the setting is always nice. The food is delicious. The drinks are mid, the sweet tea was good. The bottled speciality drinks are sub par, not worth the money. Friend green tomatoes are delicious, 4 out of 5. The fried funeral potatoes are great, 4.5 out of 5. Mac and cheese was good 3.5 out of 5. Whiskey chicken was okay, 3 out of 5. Chicken and waffles are good 3.5 out of 5. The chorizo chowder is insanely good, 5 out of 5. Their dill ranch is also a solid 5 out of 5, I'd drink it:)

Yelp
Walking in this restaurant, it looks super cute. We had reservations, but we didn't really need them as we came on a weekday and it wasn't very busy. I came for a special occasion and was so excited to try something new, and sadly was disappointed. I think if I was a soda drinker, this place would have been rad because the shelves were lined with colorful sodas so if that's your thing, you may enjoy it more. Our waitress was super nice and seemed excited to be there which gave me good expectations. I saw they had two of my favorite dishes, fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits so I felt like it was set up to be a great night. I am not sure what region these versions of the dishes were from, but it was not what I was expecting at all. The fried green tomatoes were battered in something with a gritty texture and the sauce did not complement the gritty texture or tone it down. The shrimp and grits were surprisingly more disappointing. When I asked how they were (because I've had some sub par dishes) the waitress said, and I quote "they're really good!" Man I should have detected the lie. The grits were more cheese than grits and they were more saucy than gritty. The sauce, my oh my was it bland. There was flavorless, watery sauce, and there was a LOT of it. The shrimp had no seasoning on it, or if it had it had been washed off by all that sauce. The textures of everything were just off. It felt like either the chef had never tried them and/or the person who created the recipie never has had real shrimp and grits. If you want shrimp and grits or fried green tomatoes that are actually worthwhile, look up I'm Sandy or Draper area and try up there. My man had the chicken fried steak and although he preferred it over my food, he wasn't impressed either. Definitely not a place for Southern food. I can't speak for any of the other dishes as this was my first time here.

Yelp
They use instant mash potatoes Really station 22? You can do better. It's insulting.

Yelp
Staff was nice, vibe was perfect, food was great. I had the french toast and pina colada lemonade. The lemonade was 10/10. I'd go back just for that! Husband got the steak sandwich and it was a bit messy but he said it tasted great even with the tomatoes which he usually hates, that's a big deal! I will say their fried foods have a slight off putting taste from the oil they use. We got the fried funeral potatoes and beignets (very very tiny beignets btw) and they both tasted just a little off. If you aren't sensitive to that kinda thing it's no big deal. Overall a pretty good experience!

Yelp
Service was slow but I did enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant, it's obviously an older building but the decor was nice. Ordered berry crepes and chicken and biscuits with gravy. The crepes were cooked to perfection and there were lots of berries inside. The chicken was overdone but it seemed like it could have been amazing if it wasn't. And the biscuit and gravy were delicious. A little pricey but a nice lil date spot.

Yelp
We came in at 5:30 on a Friday night and it was busy but not packed. Our server was super sweet and our food came out really quick. I got the 22 Club with the sweet potato fries and I loved the club! It was really well made and the bacon was really thick. Sweet potato fries were really good as well but could have used a little salt.
google avatar

Desta C.

Yelp
Cute place, all food was 5 star! Do not go here if you are looking for speedy anything. Service was very nice but quite slow, so going in knowing that & your experience will be as good as ours!

Yelp
Food was good but I wont pay that much for that food again. The avocado toast is worth the hype but the rest was only okay. Their house rootbeer is terrible. Their back section is cold and dark and loud and the food took forever to get to us. We did have a large party but they split us into two tables without a heads up when we made the reservation and they still brought out one tables food before the other. I wouldn't recommend.

miguel f.

Yelp
One and done!!! 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food and we only have four and a 3 yr old in our party. The fried pickles were cold and mushy (disgusting). My 18 year old daughter and my 3 year old granddaughter both ordered mac n cheese. My daughter's adult portion was half the size of my granddaughters kids order. You better believe I sent it back! My other daughter ordered the chicken fried steak, nothing but a dry hamburger patty with bland gravy. Another group in our party waited even longer for their food. Will I come back? NO THANK YOU!

Yelp
Fellow Yelpers, we used the check in 10% off coupon and they didn't apply it to the bill. Be careful. Station 22 was a really delicious restaurant. Their menu had so many great sounding options it was hard to choose what to get. The atmosphere at the restaurant is cool and makes this place stand out. My family enjoyed the beignets and s'mores pudding for dessert. This place is worth checking out.

Sandy B.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 6 for 6:00. When arriving, it was not busy. Once seated, it took 25 minutes to receive our drinks and an hour after arriving to receive our food. Very unacceptable. Will not be returning. Food as decent, not worth the price though.
google avatar

Madeline F.

Yelp
Super cool vibe of this place. The open kitchen is cool to be able to see the cooks working and making food. The area is very large and plenty of space for dining. The back area is quieter if they have room back there. There's also some patio seating but kinda limited. The food was good. They are known for their mac n cheese but we didn't try it this time. There are plenty of options for breakfast, brunch and dinner, but dinner is after five. Service was great and food came out quick. Was nice to try something new this time around!

Greg C.

Yelp
They won't serve a waffle with any topping but syrup for dessert at dinner. They have the toppings, they just choose not to want to serve them to me at dinner instead of brunch. Last time I'm coming here because it's the only reason I ever came. Kind of idiotic but there you go. I asked politely but they politely refused. I guess it's just too hard to scoop a few berries or nutella or literally anything on a waffle after sundown. They lost a customer.
google avatar

Rosa C.

Yelp
I'm giving 5 stars across the board because this place is just that good. From my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed with our waiter--he was kind, professional, and incredibly attentive. When the food arrived, it exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a great dining experience!
google avatar

Miquel N.

Yelp
We saw this place by walking by and I wanted to check it out solely because the interior was so pretty. The reviews we read said service was slow and sometimes rude but everyone said the food was good & expensive.... I agree with the service being slow. They did keep our drinks full Alcohol is not served here since you're across the street from the temple. The staff was kind. Very kind. The food was super good and unique. I didn't feel like it was expensive at all. I felt prices were reasonable for what you got. We had the berry salad with chicken and the meatloaf. My husband didn't like or dislike the meatloaf. I liked it and thought it was unique. I probably wouldn't come back, but it was good to try!
google avatar

Yelp
Let me begin by stating that I completely understand that things go wrong i. The kitchen and that I'm empathetic to the challenges of wait staff. That being said, the service was way off and hospitality missing. Our young waitress forgot about us and we had to ask other waiters to have her attend to us. Okay, for s positive: the food was good. Back to our dining saga. Our meals came, except mine due to another waiter grabbing my plate...thus i was leftovers 10-12 minutes waiting and watching my table eat. No accommodations or offers to make up for the screw up. To add insult to injury our flustered waitress spilled water all over my plate and table. Soaking my shoes and leaving a lake of ice. Ugh, I guess i was hoping again for some way of saying sorry or is there anything we can do. Hospitality refers to the way you treat your customers...making them feel welcomed and valued.

Yelp
We have enjoyed dinner at Station 22 previously, but recently we tried their breakfast and it BLEW us away! The Eggs Benedict with a side of sweet potatoes had great flavors. However, it was the Cubano Sandwich that blew us away. It was made with freshly baked bread and the flavors were absolutely perfect. We would recommend the Cubano to anyone visiting for breakfast. To end our meal, we tried the banana pudding and it was perfectly creamy with a subtle banana flavor. The service was great and we will definitely return for breakfast!

Brooke W.

Yelp
Great food and Ambiance! Highly recommended by me! The fried funeral potato's were awesome!
google avatar

Adam A.

Yelp
Service was great and the food was amazing. I ordered through an app and for some reason they couldn't see it but still helped me no questions asked.

Jen P.

Yelp
Great food and awesome service. They worked with me to do a wedding luncheon and made it an easy and delightful experience. The space was perfect for our group. The food is soooooo good! Great place for a quick bite, a small group get together, or a larger gathering. I highly recommend.

Isley G.

Yelp
We came in at 1 pm on a Thursday and there was hardly anyone seated in the restaurant however there was my party of two as well as 3 other groups of people waiting to be seated by the door. The waiters / hostesses never acknowledged the people standing by the door. We waited there for 10 minutes when we finally walked out.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Loved the waffles! The chicken was a little over cooked otherwise a very good meal! All of the sides were really good. I got the chicken and waffles and my husband got the steak.
google avatar

Beth P.

Yelp
Attentive service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere. Overall we had a lovely experience for lunch on a Tuesday. Tried the mac and cheese (of course), panzanella salad, steak salad, and the fried funeral potatoes.
google avatar

Yelp
Station 22 delivers a wonderful breakfast. Our large group of 7 needed a quick bite before a wedding ceremony and we scrambled into Station 22 last minute. We left very full and impressed. First, let me say that our waiter was absolutely terrific. He made us feel very welcome and was genuinely friendly and inviting. I enjoyed a western omelette with hash browns. Light and crispy, savory and cheesy. A few of my friends raved about the biscuits, gravy, chicken and waffles. Definitely delicious and worth every penny. Worth a stop if your visiting Provo or BYU.
google avatar

Neal H.

Yelp
First, the food was mediocre at best. I had the chicken fried steak with the mac and cheese side. The chicken fried steak was tough. However, it did taste good. Also, it was really hot in the restaurant and the indoor swamp cooler, which was meant to keep it cool inside, helped some, but added to the humidity and was very noisy. The server we had was very good, though. The cost of the food was way too expensive for the lack of quality.

Yelp
Recently hit this place up on a double date. I usually try to avoid it because I have not enjoyed my overpriced food here in the past. I was surprised to find that it has made some changes that are moving things in the right direction. it is still pricey but you are getting more food for it. I ordered the Chicken and waffles and it was super tasty. I left very full and satisfied. One thing that is odd is that they have removed the old hamburger menu and in its place is all chicken. I am not sure if they are trying to tap into the recent chicken sandwich craze going on right now but it gives off that feeling. So all food items are related to chicken in some way. My wife ordered the boneless chicken and halfway through she bit down hard onto a piece of bone left in there. It kinda turned her off to the whole thing and she will probably not go back anytime soon. Our friends also ordered chicken fingers, a favorite of theirs from past times. The first thing they said when they sat down the plates was how the portions were smaller. They had these little flimsy chicken fingers and not much else. They also were a bit bummed about it. So I would say that unless you love chicken, you probably don't need to eat here. There are a lot of other great places in Provo I would recommend first. If you are hankering for chicken and waffles, this place will fill that need.

Trent Kimball

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Hazelnut banana Crepes and Nashville chicken sandwich were amazingly fresh and good! Clay was our server and he is great, kept us laughing and having a great time. Very wonderful dining experience! Would definitely come back when we are in town.

Samuel H.

Yelp
- Food is great, good portion sizes, will be full after eating so save some room for dessert - Beautiful interior with hanging lights, shrubbery, and a wall of non-alcoholic drinks and jars of pickles

Yelp
I came here for a post-wedding brunch. We had a big reservation - about 50 people or so. There was a limited menu, but we did have some options. The biscuits we out of this world!! Absolutely the best part of the meal. I could have had 2 orders all to myself. It took them 1.5 hours (of a 3 hour reservation) to get everyone coffees. The deviled eggs were not great. I split the chicken and waffles and the three berry crepe with my partner. Chicken and waffles were solid, but I only had a couple bites of the crepe because I was not a fan of them. Our waiter was amazing - so attentive and was obviously working so hard. He made sure to check on us often, and tried to make sure we has everything we needed.

Yelp
This place is pretty awesome for the vibe and decor. The environment is really hip I would say. Unfortunately I just can't give it four stars. The food was pretty good as well but also pricey. We tried a few appetizers and I can honestly say the Mac n cheese, while good, isn't really worth it's price tag. The fried funeral potatoes were really good with the dipping sauce that they came with. They are a replacement to the hush puppies though. The root beer was very tasty and sweet but I wouldn't buy it again. The Nashville Hot Chicken with sweet potato fries was pretty good but it wasn't spicy at all. This kinda disappointed me because I wanted a bit of heat. The reason I can't give it four stars is because the menu was not up to date and we had to find out after ordering that the hush puppies don't exist anymore. Additionally, they mentioned that we will get our food when the cooks feel like cooking it and they don't do it in any order. Probably was just a poor wording choice but it certainly would never leave a good taste in a customer's mouth to hear that their food will be made when "they feel like it" ya know.
google avatar

Kaylynn Y.

Yelp
Station 22 recently switched owners and made some massive changes to the inside - the vibe is bright and clean now. I've always loved this place. It's one of my go-to faves. I'm obsessed with the shrimp and grits as well as the deep fried cookie dough balls. OMG amazing!!! My daughter LOVES their Mac and cheese and my husband loves their biscuits and Brussels sprouts. If you get the chance, DO NOT pass it up! You won't even know what you're missing! 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Shelby B.

Yelp
Overall it was good. I would go again to try some of the other stuff on the menu. However, for the price of the food on the menu it's not somewhere I would go often. We wanted hush puppies but we're informed that they discontinued them so we got fries potatoes, they were still good. Disappointed in the "award winning mac and cheese", was not worth $9. The chicken and waffles was pretty good, the chicken was juicy and had a lot of flavor. Just your typical sweet potato fries. ***So you are aware if you go on the weekend do NOT expect to get your food out in a specific order (appetizers before entree) even if you request it! We were informed that it's up to the kitchen/chef's discretion as to when the food comes out. Ummm I've never heard that before.*** Because of this by the time we finished up our meals we still hadn't received an appetizer and requested it be taken off the ticket.

Yelp
This review is based solely on the macaroni and cheese. I recently participated in a taste off/taste test of six different restaurants' mac and cheese dishes, and my findings are here. Also to note-I had a group of five other people tasting the dishes, since I hate cheese. But I carefully gathered their feedback and impressions, so you're getting good data. This dish is a twist on the basic offering that you're probably familiar with. There is more than one type of cheese in here and it's topped with a crumby topping. The topping brings a nice change in texture that my group found appealing. One person even made the comparison to funeral potatoes. Take that for what it's worth. Station 22 won People's Choice overall as the winner out of all six restaurants. So if you're on the hunt for a good macaroni and cheese, this is a solid option.
google avatar

Darren M.

Yelp
The chicken at station 22 is amazing! According to their menu, they soak it in a 24 hour brine - and you can taste it! The chicken is tender and very flavorful. Each bite was very delicious. The fries that accompanied it offered great flavor and crunch as well. We also got the chicken and waffles. They offer bone-in and boneless, with the latter being several dollars more in price. I feel like the only reason someone would want bone-in is to save money and that shouldn't be the case. Nevertheless, the chicken tasted good and paired well with the syrup. Look forward to coming in for brunch.
google avatar

Gladam P.

Yelp
The food is always over cooked and the service isn't that great. Don't order the chicken unless you like it nice and dry.

Jackson P.

Yelp
I let the staff know we were there for our anniversary and they very thoughtfully decorated our table specially. The food was INCREDIBLE and our server Berkeley was very attentive and accommodating.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place for the first time. It's a little more pricey but not too bad. It's really delicious. I ordered the 22 Club sandwich. I got Cajun fries with it. The sandwich and the fries were really tasty. They have a decent size menu and I thought the portion was pretty filling. I would love to come back and try some other stuff as well. I would also ordered the 22 club sandwich again too.

Roscoe N.

Yelp
Food was good but very understaffed. Nice environment for a meetup with friends but the Diet Coke glass doesn't fill itself.
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
They were obviously short staffed and it showed in our wait time and service but hard to blame them for that! Once we finally got our food it was delicious!! We got biscuits as an app and they were soft and yummy. My main course was a country fried steak sandwich that was amazing!! We found out about a pina colada lemonade halfway through our meal and we had to try it. It was the best !! I will surely go again but try to avoid the rush!

Yelp
Chicken and waffles, sweat potato waffle fries, and homemade root beer is the order I recommend. The place very much leans into a hipster vibe, but I feel it works. Servers are always pleasant and accommodating. Truly a gold star restaurant for downtown Provo! One drawback is the bathroom situation. It's not the restaurants fault at all, but you're sharing a few toilets with multiple businesses and restaurants in that building (and I believe you need to ask the server for a key, but I could be mistaken). This can involve a short walk, a decent wait, and a small chance that a particular bathroom item is low on supply. Maybe this could be improved, but I understand additional plumbing retrofits are expensive. But, as you can see by my five star review above, this should not deter you from eating at the unique, scrumptious eatery that is Station 22!
