"Stay Golden has a new, spacious location in The Nations with a shady patio, but pretty much everything else is the same. It’s still bright and casual with some seriously good coffee and food. They have a variety of proprietary blends (courtesy of their sister coffee company, Good Citizen) that are hand-selected by the owners from farms in top coffee destinations like Costa Rica, so you’re not finding a cup of joe like this anywhere else in the city. After ordering at the counter, you’ll wait for your crispy yeasted waffles with vanilla mascarpone at one of the tables in the main dining room. Or, if you want something savory, it’s all about the biscuit sandwich stuffed with souffled egg and salsa verde. You can also kick things up a notch with one of their Irish coffees or a carafe of the refreshing cranberry mimosa from their espresso and cocktail bar." - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak
"When ordering at Stay Golden’s counter, you’ll be encouraged to go with your gut. Ours always says yeasted waffle, because theirs is crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. For savory things, order what they call The Mess, which is everything you could want on a plate: golden potatoes baked into an egg custard that’s stuffed with bacon or sausage and smothered in your choice of hollandaise or sausage gravy. Considering that, the full liquor selection, and the opportunity to split a carafe from their prosecco bar at a large picnic table outside with some friends, it’s a wonder we don’t spend every morning here." - bailey freeman, ann walczak

"While this bright cafe is pretty casual, the thought behind the food and coffee drinks is most definitely not. Stay Golden has a variety of proprietary blends (courtesy of their sister coffee company, Good Citizen) that are hand-selected by the owners from farms in top coffee destinations like Costa Rica, so you’re not finding a cup of joe like this anywhere in the city. After ordering at the counter, you’ll wait for your crispy yeasted waffles with vanilla mascarpone at one of the tables in the main dining room or their expanded back room. Or, if you want something savory, the biscuit sandwich stuffed with chicken thigh and spicy honey. You can also kick things up a notch with one of their Irish coffees or a carafe of the refreshing cranberry mimosa from the prosecco bar." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"At this bright and sunny Berry Hill coffee shop/all-day cafe you’ll find a prosecco bar and inventive coffee drinks (like the signature brandy vanilla latte), all using beans from its sister company, Good Citizen Coffee Co. To go with your coffee: generously-topped avocado toast, crispy yeasted waffles, breakfast tacos, and gluten-free biscuits that might actually best the real thing." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
