Yelp
Took over complex after we had already moved in. Serious issues with physical safety, trash, insects, crazy new neighbors, etc. Office often closed and difficult to get a hold of them. Entered apartment without notice to perform non-emergency remodel work & scared my wife. Numerous billing errors. Billed me after I moved out for money I do not believe I owe; refused numerous good-faith attempts to reach them at both local and hq offices. Note: dissatisfied local employee admitted in boss' absence that Steadfast and the local manager steal from security deposits to pay for renovations. Three different VPs from their website failed to return calls; receptionist sends you straight to voicemail and nobody calls back. Company President, Mr. Emery, failed to respond to certified letter. Their debt collector refused to even accept certified letter disputing debt, and now they claim debt was not disputed on time. THEY ALSO CLAIMED THE "DEBT" WAS 45 DAYS PAST-DUE ONLY 4 DAYS AFTER I RECEIVED THE BILL. That's three emails, several phone calls to HQ, certified letter to HQ, certified letter to debt collector, two phone calls with sleazy debt collector (so far), two in person visits to apt office itself, letter to local mgr., and several unreturned calls from complex manager (unless I've lost count). . THE LAST TIME I TRIED TO REACH THE REGIONAL MANAGER THE PHONE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED. These people are only here to steal from you and your family. It's hard when your kids are begging you to move out of your home because they don't feel safe. It's even more frustrating to be harassed and lied about and stolen from after you think you've moved out and gotten away. Only way to actually get away from Steadfast is not to do business with them in the first place. Look for video of the insects and other problems soon to be uploaded on Youtube.
Again, the Regional Manager's phone number is disconnected. That's all you need to know.
