"Stellina Pizzeria debuts its newest location today, Tuesday, April 30, marking the restaurant’s fifth — and biggest — DMV outpost to date (1610 Capital One Drive, Tysons, Virginia). The new 5,000-square-foot Stellina Tysons features a 2,000-square-foot kitchen that supplies Tysons with freshly made pizza, pasta, and sauces, and supplements all Stellinas with its ingredients. The restaurant opens for daily dinner service from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The kitchen operates as a commissary, producing hundreds of bags of pasta, meatballs, and arancini for all locations. Stellina aims to offer a local restaurant experience with Italian culinary and hospitality elements." - Lulu Chang

"Coastal Italian stunner Stellina announced plans today for a 4,100-square foot, two storefront-wide spot in Capital One Center in Tysons (1610 Capital One Drive), the fourth Stellina location and the second in Northern Virginia. The newest hub for the cacio e pepe pizza, hefty paninis, and fresh pasta is slated to open at the end of the year with an open-air patio, indoor seating, and a glass-enclosed commissary kitchen to streamline production for all Stellina locations." - Stephanie Carter

We came here on Friday night, and there restaurant was pretty full already. We ordered a pizza and calamari salad, and both dishes were pretty good. The service could have been better, but since it’s only open for a few weeks at that moment, it’s understandable. We would be interested to come back and try a few more items on the menu.

Stellina never disappoints, and while the Mt. Vernon location will always be my absolute favorite, this new spot is quickly becoming a close second! The consistency across all locations is amazing—whether it’s the perfectly tender CARCIOFO ALLA ROMANA or the mouthwatering COTTO & FUNGHI Pizza, every bite is to die for! The vibrant and meaningful murals add a unique touch to each location, making Stellina not just a meal, but an experience. The fact that the owners, Matteo and Antonio, bring their passion and authenticity only adds to the charm. Plus, Maria, our server, was outstanding—loved her! Be sure to check out one of their many locations in the DMV and follow them—Stellina is the place to be!

This is the best Italian food I’ve had within a 70-mile radius. Most gracious owner, staff, manager, I could write a review solely about the people who work here. So reasonably priced, in fact I felt like I was cheating them with the quality and taste that I got for the price. Fresh pasta, fresh dough (made 4 days ahead), high quality seafood, delicious toppings. You have to order the Piccante pizza (a little spicy, forwarning), Chitatta de Pesce (delicious squid in pasta), and the Tiramisu and Bomboloni (nutella donuts). Best restaurant experience I’ve had in Northern Virginia, will be back to try the rest of this menu. Antonio has 5 Stellina locations including this Tysons one, he is engaged and present at every single one of them everyday, such a good and genuine dude. Open 6 days a week Tuesday-Sunday.

Google
Fantastic place to grab a bit before a show at Capital One Hall! The pizza was phenomenal. The dough was chewy and had just the right level of char from the oven. The cannoli were rich and delicious. The service was fine but I waited 15+ minutes to flag my waitress down to order dessert/get my bill which was a decently long time. Also I wasn't offered the happy hour menu despite all the other tables around me being given that option.

Google
The space is not well designed. They always try to sit us in the back in a hidden booth with no natural light. It’s a terribly designed space for a restaurant. The more formal tables are in the back next to the restroom. The wine pour was a bit on the frugal side for $12. Cocktail was just ok. The seafood squid ink pasta was delicious.

Google
I was excited to try stellina's newest location and as always, everything was excellent. Food and wine were delicious and the space is gorgeous. We sat at bar seats near the window and got to enjoy the natural light and people watching. They're known for their pizza, but my favorite of the night was actually the meatballs (polpette della nonna). They were very, very good. Definitely going to order them the next time I go

Google
This restaurant brings authentic Italian Street Food to the DMV. This is their 5th location located in the trendy Capitol One Plaza area of Tyson’s corner. My personal favorite dishes are the Cuoppo Misto and the Chitarra di Pesce. They have a Cocktail, the Union Fino, which pays homage to their original location at Union Market. This new location has a new pizza oven which in my opinion makes the great Neapolitan style pizza even better. Kudos to Matteo Venini and Antonio Matarazzo for bringing authentic Italian taste to the DMV!

Google
Stellina Pizzeria is a must-visit for pizza and spaghetti lovers! Their Chitarra de Pesce is the best I've ever had. The spaghetti has great flavor and texture, and the dish is generously packed with a variety of seafood. Highly recommend for a delicious and satisfying meal!

Yelp
What a gem! Made a snap decision to check out Stellina's at a later time in the evening without checking out Yelp first (oh no!)! The weather was perfect, so we chose to sit outside. The seats were comfortable and the surroundings (Capital One) added a cool vibe. We started with the Cuoppo Misto which had fried calamari, shrimp, octopus, baby sardines, red onions, red bell peppers, on a bed of homemade potato chips (like the Maui chips I grew up with). The batter used was very very light, and allowed the individual flavors to present themselves very well. For pizza, we shared the Basilico Ala Genovese with basil pesto, mozzarella, zucchini, sundried tomato pesto, fresh mint, and pistachio - listed as vegan. We had black olives and sausage sprinkled on the pizza to mess that up! It was fantastic. For the purists it wasn't New York or Chicago style; instead the pizza had a lavish amount of mozzarella on a tasty dough that reminded me of a pizza I had in Sicily. Excellent! We each enjoyed a generous pour of Ricasoli Sangiovese Toscana Chianti which was light and flavorful over dinner. We topped off the evening with their fabulous tiramisu and coffee. The tiramisu was some of the best we've had - we'll go back again just to have that for dessert! They advertise everything is homemade there ... that's amazing! Another reason we will go back is because the service provided by our waitress Tya was about the friendliest ever. She knew the menu, provided great advice, and remarked how she chose to go back to waitressing because she enjoyed it. She shined! To top it all, the manager made it a point to thank us as we left - not just as a passing comment - but with sincerity. Last comment - besides being very clean (a great indicator of how clean a kitchen might be) in the ladies' room there was a hook on the door to the restroom. Guys may not understand that value add - but ladies can relate quite well!

Yelp
We stopped by Stellina earlier this week for dinner and it was a cute spot with very relaxing vibes. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and didn't rush us at all. We got the arancini balls which were great, the basilica pizza which had great flavor but was a bit oily and the cacio e Pepe. The pasta is probably the only thing in wouldn't get again as it was just ok. Being two pregos at dinner or course we got an absurd amount of dessert. They had a new hazelnut crunch cake that our waitress was raving about. I honestly thought it was just ok. The donuts were dense and full of Nutella which were nice but I wouldn't rush for them again. The tiramisu was for sure my favorite. Can't go wrong with a classic!

Yelp
Delicious Neapolitan pizza with a scrumptious pillowy soft crust. So glad this restaurant finally came to Tyson's (across the street from us!) and been 1/2 dozen times in the past couple of months since the restaurant opened! t! The restaurant is family-friendly with plenty of indoor and outdoor bench/table seating. We didn't have a reservation and luckily snagged a table outside without a wait. The Focaccia Bread (you can request for whole or 1/2 pie) topped with olive oil) . The crispy housemade Potato Chips apps were delicious and were a great way to start off the meal! The Margherita pizza hit the spot with fluffy crust and charred bottom. While the oven is not wood-fried, the bottom of the pizza has a nice charred taste and I honestly couldn't tell the difference. Hubby enjoyed the Prosciutto pizza. The White Pizza is delicious too! I ordered the Corazziera with Mozzarella provolone, wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted eggplant (swapped the sausage for eggplant), topped with a red bell pepper drizzle. The Eggplant appetizer is quite juicy and tender and a generous portion, could serve as an entree! I enjoyed a couple of glasses of the Lambrusco wine while hubby liked the Chianti Classico. Skip the alluring cakes from the display cases - they are very stale, bland, and taste like cardboard. I tried the Dulche Leche cake and the Chocolate Torta. After taking a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. Save room for the cannoli! Of all the desserts, the Cannolis were hands-down the best (2 come in an order)! The two cannolis with crunchy shell and creamy chocolate chip filling on 1 side and crunchy crushed pistachio nuts on the other were tasty and satisfying, perfect sweet ending to our meal! The lemon Bomboloni fried donuts filled with Nutella were fun to try, but not my favorite. The donuts had a very intense lemon flavor that I wasn't expecting and perhaps overstuffed with Nutella. It took 20 min to get the donuts. Honestly, it was a bit challenging to enjoy the donuts as the kids had lost their patience waiting for them. Hubby wasn't a fan of the cappuccino. Love coming back for the pizza and exploring more dishes on the menu!

Yelp
What a surprise! A casual pizza spot right in McLean that serves yummy pizza and pasta. We loved the BASILICO ALLA GENOVESE (pesto-base) pizza and the CHITARRA DI PESCE(squid ink pasta with fresh seafood). Our server was informative and friendly. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Very rarely do I write a review on the day I visit a restaurant. However Stellina Pizzeria deserves a round of applause! This newly opened restaurant has been in operation for three months in this location. I love pizza and just had to try this place out all though they do have other options such as sandwiches and pasta dishes. I started with the arancini di riso. The Arancini was cooked and season to perfection. Crispy on the outside and light on the inside. I tried the peppertoni pizza. The pizza had salami, red peppers and red onions and served with a black pepper honey. The pizza was cut into four pieces but I was only able to finish one slice. If I ordered the pizza again I would take off the peppers and onions. Although the pizza was tasty. Now you know I have to save room for dessert. I wanted to roll my eyes back when I taste the bomboli. Fried donuts with a hazelnut chocolate spread. The donuts were chefs kiss. The donuts also had a hint of lemon. It's not listed as an ingredient, but something to note if you don't like lemons. I would have loved a side of ice cream to go with the donuts. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I got there a little after 4, but I could see this place being a great to grab something delicious to eat.

Yelp
The beloved DC pizzeria opened in the Tysons area and I decided to give it a try. There was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and the service was SO quick. (granted I did go on a Sunday afternoon) The pizza we got was the BASILICO ALLA GENOVESE and it was a bit too salty for my taste. However, I would definitely go again to try out something else on the menu as they have a variety of pastas and paninis as well.

Yelp
New pizza place at the Capital One Tysons campus! The opening of Stellina Pizzeria was a hot topic days prior to their grand opening. My coworkers and I stopped by a couple Thursday evenings ago to give their pizzas and drinks a try. Overall, the service was fine, but given that the staff is still getting used to things, there was a lot of confusion with alcohol beverages (someone ordered a rosé but our server kept bringing out a red wine). PICCANTE - 19 This was the first pizza that came out and it had a nice spicy kick from the sausage, soppressata (a type of Italian salami), and 'nduja jam (spicy, meaty spread). The mozzarella and tomato sauce were fresh. Combined with easily one of the chewiest and flavorful pizza doughs I've ever eaten, this was definitely our table's favorite (majority votes). Definitely would recommend if you're a spice fan and you want a meatier pizza. COTTO & FUNGHI - 18 I was really looking forward to this pizza because I love mushrooms and prosciutto as toppings but it fell really short. This was definitely our table's least favorite. While the dough was phenomenal like the others, it felt like our toppings were boiled in a pot of water and tossed onto the dough after it was out of the oven. The mushrooms and prosciutto felt bland and underwhelming -- didn't have that wood-grilled oven flavor you'd expect. CACIO & PEPE - 17 Lowkey and easy to miss, it may look like a cheese pizza with some black pepper on it, but it had a lot of flavors and umami from the variety of cheeses (cacio di roma, pecorino romano and mozzarella). Don't sleep on this one because it was a flavor bomb. Our table also enjoyed this one a lot and it was a top 2 for me. MEDITERRANEA - 18 This one was so good!! Definitely a top 2 for me because of its variety of toppings, ranging from bresaola (air-dried salted beef slices), cherry tomatoes, argula (so fresh), goat cheese and spices (black pepper and oregano). I wish the bresaola was more evenly spread -- seemed like one side got more of the love than the other, leaving the other with mainly arugula and one small dab of goat cheese. Overall, great flavors and we'd definitely recommend! The pizzas here were pretty good and I'd definitely stop by again for future HHs since it's so close to my workplace. The pricing is pretty fair and one pizza is more than enough (there were six of us and we shared four pizzas and felt full). I hear their tiramisu hits the taste buds like a bullseye, so I'll have to try that next time. Again, I will hype up the pizza dough here. It's lightly seasoned so it was enjoyable on its own. I actually ate all my crusts instead of leaving them behind.

Yelp
Stellina with an "N" is now open in Tyson's Corner VA. It is directly across the street from Capital One Music Hall. If you don't want to navigate Tyson's traffic, you can visit the K Street, Union Market or Arlington location. The outside patio is nice. Indoor seating allows you to experience the fun atmosphere and wall art. The food is delicious. I love the Margherita pizza. The desserts are yummy too. Home made potato chips are served here. There is plenty of paid parking on the street and nearby lots. I miss the days of free parking.

Sharon H.

Yelp
Overall, it is a good pizza place with quick service; the pizza did not come out hot, but it was still good. Parts of the crust were burnt and I prefer a thinner crust so the crust just felt very bland. The actual toppings, however, was pretty good and pretty standard for a normal pizza. It's pretty greasy/oily so I would dab the top off with a napkin. Good place near the Capital One Hall to grab a wholesome meal.

Bradley L.

Yelp
Came here with some coworkers for lunch and was so happy to have made that decision. The pizzas were amazing. The crust was thin, yet delicious; Sauce was delectable and saucy; and toppings were spot on. We had the Margherita, Mediterranea, and Speck e Gorgonzola pizzas. The Gorgonzola was definitely on the heavier side and I'd recommend sharing that one as opposed to digging in by yourself, but the pizzas are definitely sized for one person to take down. The wait staff was super attentive and extremely pleasant. Will definitely be back to try more.

Cynde C.

Yelp
My first time at Stellina and it was a winner! I would go back just for the Speck y Gorgonzola pizza but there were so many things on the menu that I want to try. Service was fabulous with our server Kate. And the food comes out very quickly. The music seemed a bit loud when we walked in, but once we were all seated and got talking, it was fine. The only thing that I would add to the menu would be a small garden salad to have a alongside pizza. All the salads on the current menu seem to be entrée size salads.

Beth C.

Yelp
Ordered takeout by phone to try this newish place. When we arrived. there was no record of our order. It was a slow night. Pizza was somewhat disappointing, and I love napoletano style. Overpriced.

Nina L.

Yelp
Top tier Neapolitan pizza. Enjoyed the Prosecco. Rest of our party enjoyed the arancini (I skipped). Arugula and fennel salad was very fresh. Pasta dishes lacked something (salt maybe) and homemade chips just weren't special. But service was friendly and we'll be back for pizza.

Pam D.

Yelp
I got to Stellina Pizzeria's Grand Opening at Tysons when they opened at 4:00pm to beat the crowd. I ordered the Napullela Pizza with anchovies, fresh garlic, black olives, and burrata cheese. It was my first time trying anchovies, and I loved it. The flavor combination of the anchovies, garlic, and olives was awesome. Plus, the first 50 customers got a free tiramisu, and it was a delicious way to end my meal. Inside the restaurant, it was spacious with nice artwork and a relaxed, fun vibe. Outside seating was also available in a beautiful setting, and there was live music when I was there. The only thing I was disappointed in was the hostess who greeted me at the door. I was excited to try Stellina's for the first time, and she kinda burst my bubble. She wasn't friendly and didn't smile, which surprised me because you don't expect that at a grand opening. She said they were only seating guests with reservations. When the couple in front of me and I told her that wasn't on anything we had read about the opening, she let us stay. (The restaurant was empty at 4:00pm, and there was still plenty of seating when I left.) Then she kept insisting the tiramisu wasn't free for the first 50 customers. The couple in front of me and I told her we saw advertisements for a free tiramisu for the first 50 people, but she didn't budge on the issue. I let it go, because I was tired and hungry. But I was disappointed. (See the screenshot I took from Stellina's Instagram account when I got home. She was clearly wrong.) Thankfully, the other staff who brought out my food, checked to see how I was doing, and took my payment were very sweet. I ordered the tiramisu anyway because it's my favorite, and the person who took my payment deducted the cost of the tiramisu without me even asking! She said it was free for the first 50 customers, and I was happy someone knew about the promotion. Overall, it was a good experience, and I enjoyed the food. I still took off a star for this visit, though, because my first impression of Stellina Pizzeria was from my initial conversation with the hostess. First impressions matter.

Michael C.

Yelp
Superb food excellent service and a very clean comfortable environment. And then today's inflationary environment. The prices are very reasonable. The cuoppo misto fried seafood dish, including, not only calamari, but octopus and Smelts ( a small sardine like fish from the Great Lakes) is pretty rare and a lot of American restaurants. I haven't had this since eating at a private home in the early early 1980s The parking was just a little bit challenging with having to clock in and out with a receipt, but doable and the access from the main road 123 is a little bit challenging to navigate I would come back here to eat ( I rarely give all five stars in a review) I have Since come back for the lasagna I've also bought a slice of the cheesecake

Dan M.

Yelp
This was much hyped as they just opened and coincided with my visit to Capital One HQs. Heard about the Michelin Bib Garmond rated place (basically casual but good and unique). Contrary to recent Yelp reviews, the staff were all super friendly and welcomed me and checked on me throughout my visit. Maybe things have settled down after the grand opening. Anyway this review is about the pizza anyway, and they delivered. The crust is all the rage and it was delectable and chewy gooey and tender sweet. I went for the Peppertoni (not a misspelling) which comes with some nice pepper honey which gives it a nice balance of heat and sweetness. I thought it was pepperoni but it was actually salami as mentioned in the description but that did not distract as it was quite good, thin and flavorful. I started with a Caprese salad as I'm a sucker for heirloom tomatoes and these were quite fresh and flavorful as was the burrata. The pizzas were too big to finish for one person in my opinion so I have leftovers. I so wanted to try the cannoli but I fly tomorrow and didn't want to carry too many leftovers on the plane. Next time I'll have dessert. This place is DanPizza certified fresh

Tiffany K.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Lives up to its reputation! The pizza dough is perfect, lasagna was delicious and even the mozz sticks are amazing but the standout is the artichoke appetizer. Also I don't even like Tiramisu and couldn't stop eating theirs. Kids loved it all too. Absolutely recommend. Parking lot is nearby and we drove past it at first so pics of signs are included. Will definitely return again and again.

Jenna L.

Yelp
I think it is over priced comparing service and food. The taste were ok. Atmosphere were cosy .(Friday evening vibe)

Lottie Y.

Yelp
The pizza was tasty and the happy hour drinks and food were good too. I liked the fried seafood platter.

Chris Z.

Yelp
Stellina opened recently and I stopped by to sample their food. Saw online they had a "Pizza Bento" lunch offer that consisted of a small pizza, fried mozzarella, arancini, cannoli, and housemade chips all for $22. When I arrived I was told that they did not offer the pizza bento yet, but were planning on offering it in the future as the restaurant settles in. I was a bit disappointed but understood why. The manager thought about it and then said he would make an exception for me! Was really happy with how accommodating they were - it shows that they care about having happy customers. The food was excellent. Could tell that quality ingredients were used and was blown away by how delicious each item was. Will definitely be returning!

Sadia K.

Yelp
Not particularly impressive. The restaurant itself is bright and fun, and we were greeted by very friendly staff. The waitress seemed friendly as well, but was hard to flag down when needed, and would disappear for long stretches. My husband ordered chips as an app/side, and they were pretty much just Lays potato chips with no dip, etc. Made on-site, but just basic chips. The non-pizza options are fairly limited, and I got the gnocchi which was salty more than anything else. My husband got the margherita pizza - it appeared burned but he said it was pretty good overall. I doubt I'll be back, but if I am, I'll stick with the pizzas.

Yassob G.

Yelp
Stelina has the best Italian food you could ask for. Attention to detail in picking ingredients is outstanding. Simply anything they make is delicious.

Austin Z.

Yelp
Overall very mid, definitely overpriced relative to the flavor and volume. This was true of the paccheri and wings in particular.

Endrias L.

Yelp
This place is a great addition to the area. We frequently stay at the watermark hotel across the street which previously didn't have much to offer in terms of food in walking distance. We tried the PICCANTE pizza and the CACIO & PEPE pasta dish and both were excellent. The pasta was cooked perfectly and flavored well. We will definitely be returning!

Kris L.

Yelp
Please DO NOT go here unless you enjoy service Chaos, have plenty of time to waste waiting, or enjoy FLAVORLESS food with a side of lackluster cookstaff and waitstaff. We waited to be seated for over 45 minutes and then the food came out abnormally slower than any other food establishment on planet earth. This place is more of a slow serving carryout with seats to eat your food rather than a restaurant.   The reviews said this place was worth 4.5 stars but  please do not be misled by these falsities. Again, the food looked very good, but everything we ordered was beyond FLAVORLESS AND DULL.  They brought out our pizza before our appetizers, and the waitstaff were clueless about this issue. There was no real concern at all except for the front door host who intervened to assist.

Rivka A.

Yelp
Perfect way to "wine" down the night. Came in for a pizza to go and grabbed a drink (or two) while waiting. There isn't much I wouldn't do for a montepulciano and they just so happened to have it on menu! While figuring out what I wanted, I ended up ordering an off menu drink and they were so happy to accommodate. I love a typical Negroni, but they had mezcal and I just couldn't resist. Was such a great experience especially because the staff was so welcoming and friendly! Will be back, and often. Might be my go to after work and decompressing spot. Such a vibe with great food and drink!

Gabriele C.

Yelp
I usually don't care about writing reviews but this time I feel compelled to give a shout out to Stellina. I've been to Stellina twice and had great culinary experience. My family and I tried 9 different items on the menu, and they were all great, from the appetizers to the pizza, pasta, salad and desserts. They tasted like home, and for me it's all what matters. I agree with some of the reviews that there might be opportunities to improve the service/organization during peak hours. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt of being a new restaurant. However, for the person who said that the food was flavorless and dull, please spare it. That's just vengeance for having to wait to be seated in a full restaurant and having experienced a bad service. I'm writing this part only because there are currently only a handful of reviews, and that comment has too much visibility for what it is.

Tristan R.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant, excellent experience. Outside seating area is pretty, inside is nice as well. Food is of extremely high quality -- pizza dough is one of the best in this area. Appetizers are good as well, just don't order Americanized "food" and go for the stuff they're actually good at. Staff are mostly reliable. Recently opened, and highly recommend coming!

Aqsa W.

Yelp
We are so happy to have Stellina in Tyson's ! We have loved their pizza in their other 2 locations in va. The food was even better - from the refreshing salad to the homemade pasta and the incredible pizza- I am already planning my order for our next trip there. Def a must! Location is great!

P S.

Yelp
We went for Mother's Day and enjoyed the food, but were underwhelmed by the service. There was no warm greeting or welcome - we were just asked if we had a reservation. We were seated quickly but didn't actually have a dedicated server the entire meal. Our order ended up being placed with the hostess, we had to ask for drink menus, and didn't get several items that we had ordered. No one came around to ask how our food was, and we had to flag different servers down to order dessert and get our check. We could see the owner was around, but he only interacted with select tables. Overall, the hospitality is definitely lacking and we will probably not return.

Adriene F.

Yelp
just phenomena!!!!! all fresh ingredient!!!!!!! all items freshly made to order!!!!!!! I mean they have Negroni's on tap! please visit if you haven't
