Every time I've gone by this particular coffee shop/bakery there's a line wrapped out around the corner. This particular day there was only a line halfway out the door, so I figured I may as well go before the crowd gets big! Boy did I get in at the perfect time! Right after I got in side, at least 10 other people lined up behind me! it took me about 15 minutes to get through the line, but everybody was working very fast and extremely friendly and apologetic for the weight which was perfectly fine with me because they had so many pastries to choose from. I couldn't figure out what I wanted anyway! Lol all their pastries are around between $8-6/piece. The cookies are four dollars, and their sandwiches are around $16-$20. Perfectly fine considering how the economy is and everything is baked daily and the sandwiches are made to order!
I got the chicken cutlet sandwich without red onions, and oh my goodness, it was freaking delicious! It was made on this pita type bread that was very light and decadent, and not too heavy. Sometimes bread is so delicious and thick. It fills me up on the bread itself instead of, whatever is inside the sandwich. Not the case here!! I was so stuffed from eating half the sandwich. I saved the other half because I wanted to eat a pastry also. Lol.
I ordered a Raspberry Sweet Puff, Pineapple Sweet Puff, marbel loaf/slice and Nutella Cornetto and a mushroom-goat cheese puff. Yummmm.
I ate the pineapple sweet puff after my sandwich and oh my goodness the cream danish filling was the most lightest decadent cream cheese. Filling I've ever had!! It did not have that thick creamy texture that most danishes have. I'm not too sure how they make it, but it had the best vanilla bean flavor, and it went perfectly with , the pineapple coconut and the croissant aspect was so crispy and light and fluffy. It was like biting into a pillow but edible! Lol I wish I bought one of every pastry there. Oh my goodness but I spent about $70 with tip and I'm so excited to try everything!
I saw online people had a Matcha latte, and I noticed they had some other specialty/local drinks that were not on their menu. If there wasn't a huge line behind me, I would've asked the barista what their other menu/drink items were, but I didn't want to hold up the line so I just got the Matcha latte with almond milk and that was , a basic Matcha latte. Everything was delicious and I was lucky to grab a seat inside since outside it was freezing, but all the tables were full!
As I sat for about an hour, doing some work, the line never died down, but everybody was pleasant, and seem to be polite as they waited in line and crowded around one another. Lol I cannot believe how many baristas were working so quickly within the café itself! I will definitely be back!
