Best Restaurants for Dining with a Large Group in Dallas-Fort Worth | Eater Dallas

"Returning to the dining scene this year, Steve Fields has an updated, brighter interior. Despite reopening about a block from the original location and the apparent facelift, many of the restaurant’s popular elements, space for groups, live piano music, and a variety of specialty filets and seafood remain." - Leslie Chatman

This restaurant is EXCELLENT! The ambiance is amazing and intimate. Our server Rich was EXCEPTIONAL! Great recommendations! The food was simply DELICIOUS! The CALAMARI ❤️❤️❤️❤️ My family loves calamari and we have never had it paired with fried spinach! What an awesome combination. We ordered two servings because it was that good!!!!

Google
Went there for happy hour. Really good happy hour selection. Family really enjoyed everything we ordered. Martini’s were delicious. Our server was fantastic as well. Very attentive and friendly. We ordered so many things, but forgot to take pictures of everything. Highly recommend their happy hour specials

Google
We done here for my daughter’s birthday and we were well impressed with the great service and the quality of food. Their fried calamari and wagyu meatballs were delicious and their New York strips are excellent! Just add some garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes and it makes your day! It is definitely a place we will go back!

Google
First time at SF for a birthday dinner, we didn’t realize they closed at 8:30, and got there a little before 8. Our server, Joe, and the entire staff displayed some of the best customer service. He was patient, explained the menu and catch of the day, as well as brought out a cake for the birthday girl at the end of our dinner. I am 100% returning to this nice establishment.

Google
Attended a seminar here and location was easy to find. Ambiance elegant , dim . We ordered medium prime rib ( succulent and perfect to our palates) Steve'sCaesar's salad , chocolate cake and key lime pie for dessert . Dishes delicious. 10oz prime rib too big that we have to take a home box. oRecommend this place if you're looking for fine dining and good steak .

Google
Honestly I was a little wet down by the overall experience. The service was actually terrible for how high end of a restaurant this is. From the beginning, the hostess was terrible at seating us (put us right next to the kitchen door even though there were tons of open tables) so we asked for Booth to which they said they were all reserved which I sort of found not believable because the entire 2 hours we were there some of them didn't fill up. Then our server was a good guy and all but he just was not very nice and kind of acted like he didn't care about us at all we had to fill up our own water and nobody asked us if our steaks were cooked correctly. When it comes to the food, the steak was obviously really good, but the sides we got and baked potato that the steak comes with as well as the cheesecake at the end were all average or below average. Probably won't return, especially for the crazy price.

Google
I really want to give this place 4 stars, but some of the staff let it down. The ribeye was one of the best I've had, the calamari with spinach chips was a great starter, and the chowder was excellent. Cheesecake with blueberry compote was delicious and a healthy serving to share The hostesses were not welcoming, and initially offered a poorly located table after a long and awkward discussion on where to seat us...I had made the reservations over a week prior Our waiter was less attentive than one would expect, but the real problem was a curt and almost condescending manner. Seems to be his schtick as we heard him speak to other customers in a similar manner. He didn't actually say anything, it was the delivery and attitude Shame, as the food was great, and I would otherwise want to come on special occasions in the future. My dinner was a special occasion, a goodbye dinner with close friends, and it was soured by this, sadly Edit to 2 stars: The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am. The sides (mushroom, asparagus) were not very good. The plating was meh, and the decor was bland. Cannot recommend this place and will not return.

Google
Elegant and clean steakhouse. The prime rib, which I came for, was delicious, tender, and juicy! Their blackened jumbo shrimp pasta had both great pasta and great shrimp. I also appreciate their bread. It came with an olive oil Serrano pepper dip that was delicious with a little bit of kick. We also had their fresh stone crab claws, which were a nice addition. However I would say that stone crab doesn't really taste better than dungeness crab. Their only miss was the blue crab and corn chowder soup. The sweetness of it wasn't really necessary and you could almost not notice that there was crab in it.

Yelp
Food was very good. We ordered the Prime Rib and the Ribeye. Both were tender. We always ask for our meats to have the temperature medium rare only. Works best. It's tender and juicy. The Ceasar salad was also good. Just wished they put a couple more anchovies :) Big Shrimps, it was juicy. We ordered the chocolate cake and key lime pie. It was good too. Service was very good. Very attentive, warm and efficient. Restaurant looks nice. We will be back.

Yelp
Hubby and I arrived at Steve Fields with a reservation, and had to wait a few minutes before being seated. It was so dark and loud in the dining room that it took some time for our eyes to adjust to read the menu. Our server was running around and made for a high-strung dinner experience. The server was rushing so much that he knocked the water carafe from our neighboring table and send it shattering on the floor. It was very hard to enjoy the experience. I had the salmon and Hubby the shrimp pasta. The food was ok for the price point. The service and ambiance definitely took away from an enjoyable dinner.

Yelp
My friend and I met at Steve Fields at 5:00 and the bar was so loud, we asked if we could sit at a table so we could visit. Was graciously seated by the hostess and ordered a drink only to be told by managment (Mr. Fields himself) via our waiter that we could not stay unless we each ordered a full dinner. Our intention was to order a salad and split dinner which we shared with our waiter. The waiter went back to speak with management and again came back to say we must each order a full meal. I felt sorry for our waiter as you could tell he was very uncomfortable. The restaurant was completely empty other than 2 tables with other guests. It was 5:00 pm. We were refused, so we ended up paying for our drink and leaving. We asked to speak with Mr. Fields at the front desk and was met with such disrespect that I will never step foot into the place again. Mr. Fields told us to look around and that we were not his clientele and walked away from us. We are two successful professional women in our mid 60's that have entertained clients many times at the restaurant. We were dismissed in such a rude manner, that I would hope it was because Mr. Fields had something tragic going on his life. I cannot imagine someone in the service industry being so rude and disrespectful. Needless to say, I will never step foot through these doors again. Mr. Fields ~ you need to take a renewal course on Customer Service. If not, your restaurant will remain as empty as it was on Sept. 20, 2024.

Yelp
Steve Fields has to be one of my most favorite Steakhouses. The steaks are always cooked to perfection. Their jumbo shrimp cocktail is amazing. Their Caesar salad is light and tasty. Service is butler service and the Ambiance is that of a luxury setting. My definite go to for when we want to get out somewhere nice.

Yelp
This is your go-to place for that special supper with friends and family. Ours was 51st wedding anniversary. Staff was very attentive and asked if we were there for any special occasion. Great service and meal. Plenty of food and great for leftovers. SHE who cashes my retirement check got a Pina Colada which comes with whip cream. That's something different. Be sure to make reservations. Also the east side of restaurant late in day is shaded and good place to park on hot summer days. This was first time at this location as we had been at the former location west of Preston Rd but torn down years ago.

Yelp
Colleen and Christine took care of us at the bar for HH. Great cocktails and service. We joined others for dinner and enjoyed a cooked perfect filet and prime rib. Served with mashed potatoes and julienne veggies. The dressing on the wedge not my favorite but tried Tiki Hubby Caesar and it was good. We brought home dessert for another day as too much food

Paul Z.

Yelp
Terrible service. Average food. No comparison to other top tier steak houses in the Dallas area.

Yelp
Our first time dining here and it was our 22nd anniversary. We put a note in the Open door reservation but no one said anything. We usually get a happy Anniversary or the table is decorated at other steak houses. Anyhow, the food was excellent. I had the prime rib but ordered medium rare and it came out very medium. My husband had the filet and it was warm but not hot. Disappointed with that. The Cesar salads were excellent and just as pictured by other Yelp reviewers. We got a side of mushrooms and they were delicious but want to note that they are sliced, not whole so they will be a bit saltier than whole mushrooms. We took the carrot cake to go and it was probably the best thing we ate that night! The candied nuts on top were delicious and there were no raisins, which is a plus for me! Disappointed with the service. We had Roberto. He was professional but intimidating. Not very friendly and haughty. we noticed that he spent a lot more time with the table across from us. Not sure if it was because we ordered from the restaurant week menu? My ice tea stayed empty a lot. Aside from that, we were impressed with the restaurant and will try again.

Yelp
We had such an awesome time here that I didn't take any pictures, except for dessert. Boss lady and I came in for our anniversary dinner (34 years) and had one of our best meals ever! From the ambiance to the attentive staff, our first time here will not be our last! Started with fried calamari, comes with two dipping sauces, which was fresh and delicious (even she liked it, which is rare). And the French onion soup (amazing). She had the prime rib-eye, which came with a loaded baked potato. I had the special wild caught salmon, whipped potato and grilled asparagus. Has to order the creamed corn (very delicious). Since we were celebrating, we were gifted a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Thank you all for an amazing memory! We will definitely be back

Anita S.

Yelp
Weeknights I believe may be slow on service , perhaps less staff being a weeknight. The restaurant week currently running is worth the visit for the price of a course meal. The chocolate cake is moist and creamy and a good one! So is the house steak done medium well. The steak is delicious and the quantity is just right! If you do happen to get the evening slots like 5pm to 7pm I strongly suggest you not get seated in a booth that you can see the door, every time the door opens you'll get hit with a sharp ray of sunlight reflected in you. And it hurts the eyes. One thing we learned is to choose a booth in the far ends that's if you don't want to sit at the tables and chairs because you will be knocked by staff or customers walking past you. ‍

Yelp
1 word - phenomenal. The hostesses were great, our waiter JONATHAN was so kind, and we met Mr. Steve Fields himself! The ambiance at Steve Field's is nice - low lighting and beautiful layout and decor. We went early (around 5p) and it was perfect. Even as the place started to get busy it wasn't too loud. Lobster & shrimp dip - 10/10, so good!! Filet - 10/10, I had to get medium (I'm pregnant) but it was still so good. I got the baked potato toppings on the side and it was perfect. Ribeye - 10/10. Great flavor and not too much fat! Would definitely order again! Carrot cake - 10000/10. If you like carrot cake, this is the place to get it. We have PLENTY of leftovers and I'm sure it'll taste amazing after being refrigerated. We live right near the restaurant and will definitely be back. Honestly some of the best customer service we've had in awhile, and that's saying a lot!! What a wonderful last date night as a family of 2 :)

Yelp
I had the pleasure of visiting this place for a friend's late bday celebration! The place is very slick, very clean and huge dining area! I also noticed they had a lounge area that very nice as well! We ordered wine by the bottle which was very reasonable priced! For appetizers we had calamari, which was amazing!! There was a lobster and shrimp artichoke dip! I really enjoyed! The special was a fish (can't recall) with crawfish and shrimp, I had asparagus as a side! It was very yummy! Really enjoyed! The staff was really nice and welcoming! I def wanna stop by again for maybe happy hour! I heard they have live music! Sorry no pics I was enjoying everything so much!

Yelp
We love the ambiance and atmosphere at Steve Field's steakhouse. The only thing better is the service and the food. And for a fine dining steakhouse it is very reasonably priced. Our waiter, Jason, was great. He let us set the pace, never rushed us, gave us recommendations when asked, and anticipated all of our needs. It made for a very nice and relaxing evening. The owner came by to personally check on us and such a sincere nice touch. They have several good options on the wine by the glass list and again reasonably priced for fine dining. Securing cocktails and wine, we started with their warm focaccia bread with spicy dipping oil and a shrimp cocktail. Only 4 shrimp, but they are jumbos and plenty for a started. We then split the wedge salad, which was more than enough for each of us. We each had a different dressing option with my wife having a traditional blue cheese dressing and me going for their house spicy specialty - very good. For entrees, we had their prime rib and macadamia crusted halibut. Both were delicious, but the halibut was truly outstanding. Their chocolate butter cream cake is my wife's favorite and with it being Mother's Day weekend, we had to have it. Too large a piece for two, so we ended up taking most of it home.

Yelp
In the competitive world today of restaurants in Plano, I would expect everyone in management to go overboard to make their customers feel welcome. Well, Not So at Steve Fields at 5 PM Friday night! My friend and I asked to sit in the main area of the restaurant because the bar was too noisy. We were each going to order two drinks, a salad, and split a main dinner. The waiter came to us to say that the management said we could not sit there because we were not each going to order a full main dish. Since there were only two other couples sitting in the restaurant, we were surprised at the notice and asked our waiter to confirm with management again that we were asked to leave. The waiter was extremely embarrassed but confirmed that we needed to leave. On the way out, we tried to talk to Steve Fields as he walked away, stating, "Look at you compared to my other guests." My friend and I have a thriving business in real estate and know how to dress and act in nice restaurants. I guess all guests are required to drink, have appetizers, salads, and main courses, and then, of course, a dessert. Don't go to Steve Fields unless you expect to eat a lot of food and look just RIGHT--whatever RIGHT is.

Yelp
I came here for a fabulous girls' night out! It was almost perfect, except the valet hit our car and has been an absolute pain to work with, so I'd advise you don't valet! However, valet aside, we had a wonderful experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and our server Nolan was exceptional! We tried the Crab Cakes, which were good; the Lobster & Shrimp dip was my absolute fave, so so good! We had the Chef's Filet, Blackened Chilean Sea Bass Pontchartrain, sautéed mushrooms, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes. There wasn't anything I didn't like; I was very pleased with this meal, and the carrot cake is probably some of the best carrot cake I've ever had--a top-tier dessert for sure. The prices are insanely low for the portion and stature of this place; I felt like the value for the price was terrific. It makes me feel like I've been ripped off at the other steakhouses. Nonetheless, Steve, you have a great establishment; I can't wait to return!
google avatar

Melody T.

Yelp
5 star service and food! From the moment you pull up to valet or self-park, you won't turn back! This is going to officially be in monthly rotations of places to dine! Super slick bar area to enjoy talking or watching the game! There's a special section on the dining floor to reserve. A great place to host a party / private event! Servers are some of the best! Table is set when you arrive for 5 star dining! Baby Wagyu Meatballs for staters are great! Cesar Salad comes out super fresh Table Bread is paired with a seasoned oil on the side also with whipped butter! Dish recommended: Bone in Pork Chop and Potatoes Check for the special of the day It's a steakhouse, every steak is wonderful Cannot wait for to return Ensure to make a reservation

Yelp
Well... hummmmm. We have loved This restaurant over the years but Sunday night it was really disappointing. We headed over after the Cowboys game and sat at the bar. The service was great as it always is but the food was really meh. We ordered two large stone crab claws and they were chilled served with the mustard, but they tasted like paste. It was so disappointing. We followed that order up with some wage meatballs, which were good and a glass of wine finish the evening.

Yelp
I have found a new perfect date night for you!! We had the greatest time at Steve Fields Steakhouse and everything was outstanding from the drinks, food, service and vibe, it was truly a night to remember! We got to stay, enjoy and relax at their lounge area which I highly recommend visiting -- they open at 4pm and have live music Wednesday - Sunday at 6:30pm! Also did I mention about their Happy Hour? They have $2 off cocktails, beer, wine and appetizers Sunday - Friday (4-6:30pm)! Christina Martin makes the best drinks and hands down the best mixologist-- she is absolutely one of the kindest person you'll ever meet! I already cannot wait to go back and if you haven't been, this is a signal for you to visit them in Plano! What we got: Crunchy Lobster Pizza - $19 Calamari - $12 Crispy Coconut Shrimp - $10 Beef Crostinis - $10 Blue Cheese Chips - $8 Ahi Tuna - $19 Carrot Cake - $11 Chocolate Caramel Butter Cream Cake - $11 Steve's Old Fashioned - $13 A Touch of Kindness - $12 Espresso Martini - $12 Glass of Rosé - $13

Yelp
I had a gift card that I needed to use and am so happy that we chose to use it for our Valentine's Day dinner. The food was really good and the drinks were some of the best. My only complaint is that for $39 the prime rib was not the best. I've had better at Texas Roadhouse. The calamari was so good and is a must try! The filet was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. Finally a restaurant that knows how to cook a damn good steak. The service was excellent! It is a fancy place but not as fancy as we expected. No problem there. It was a romantic atmosphere and that what we wanted for our special day. Do not expect to come here and eat for cheap. The food is quite a bit on the pricey side but the food pretty much matches the price tag.

Lilly D.

Yelp
Everything is always perfect at Steve Fields So delicious and cooked to perfection. Service is impeccable. Food is totally the best in Dallas. When in Dallas please drop in an eat. You will never regret it.

Yelp
Very good service. Got to meet Steve, the owner. Super nice man. Wine prices here are amazing and the steak top notch. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Service was immaculate. It was my birthday and Chris was very kind and attentive to us, it made our experience 10 times better. Ambiance felt very high class but the food and service is worth the price. We got the Seared Ahi Tuna for our apps. The covering on the lemons is a nice touch as it grabs all the seeds when you squeeze the lemons. The tuna tasted fresh and the salad accompanied it well. The Caesar Salad was a delight and the anchovy was a nice touch. The house bread was very soft and warm. Their seasoned oil had a garlicky and spicy kick to it which made us come back for seconds! The 20 oz bone in Prime Rib was the star of the show. The meat fell right off the bone and melted in our mouths. The baked potato was plentiful and the toppings were evenly portioned. The chocolate cake was a surprise and not on their menu, but we received it because we were celebrating a birthday. The cake was very chocolately, sweet and moist, the prefect trifecta for every chocolate cake. We finished off the meal with a creamy french vanilla ice cream that was made in Plano! It was delicious and a great way to end the meal. A last trip to the bathroom and i was shocked at how nice it was. Free tampons, toothpicks, lotion and mouthwash is very thoughtful and surely helps the customers out. Overall we had an amazing experience here and plan on coming here anytime we want steak!

Yelp
It is VERY crowded so make sure you get a reservation ahead of time. Everything about this place was great. Our server, Joe, was fantastic. Everything he recommended to us was a hit. Lobster & Shrimp Dip: 5/5 - The garlic crostinis was paired so well with the dip which in itself was like a rich, creamy fondue . There was a decent amount of lobster bits in it as well. Peppercorn Coated Steak: 5/5 - The steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender & juicy and the flavor came from the quality of the steak itself. Chef's Filet: 5/5 - The steak had excellent seasoning and the cut of the filet was tender and rich. There was just enough sauce where it didn't overwhelm the taste of the steak. Key Lime Pie: 4/5 - The first bite of the Key Lime is very tart. But you start becoming addicted to the zest that eventually becomes a mellow sweetness.

Yelp
We had an uber issue getting to our 9:30 reservation and was our fault that we were late. About 8 minutes past we tried calling to let the restaurant know but nobody answered the phone after 15 rings. My date arrived at 9:38 and I arrived about 9:42 and were shut down. Went to the bar to grab a drink. After talking with the manager (Jeff) - he said he saw my phone call but didn't answer it or call me back. (Weird - like like telling your dinner couple you saw them call but decided to ignore it). This kind of weird rigidity is something I would expect at an airport, not a high end steakhouse. Yes, we were late, but normally a call ahead will work out an 8 minute issue. Jeff had an opportunity to turn us into a repeat customer rather than throw the rules at us for a minor glitch that would have yielded a fan and $250 in dinner revenue. Won't be back - Thank Jeff, for showing me the rules. You "win".

Yelp
I been to this place a few times but mostly liked the old location better. The original restaurant felt a bit.. warmer setting, and classier and more comfortable seating. I can't say the same with the current layout of the restaurant. The lighting was just dim and cold. Yet it's a beautiful place at the same time. The service was tremendous; our waiter made great suggestions and was very cool about everything. The food was great. I would say the steak is worth the price and better made than most fine dining around the area. The crab cake was very legit and you'll get more meat than anywhere else. Overall a good place; I just wish the room atmosphere was a bit different.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of meeting Steve while I was there, he was very friendly and well involved in his business. The dinner was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful and the piano bar was very entertaining.

Yelp
We had dinner at Steve Fields last night, and it was an amazing experience. Our server was friendly and very attentive. We started with a salad. The Caesar was perfectly dressed with a very flavorful dressing. The wedge was the perfect portion, and the dressing had a bit of a kick. We were served complimentary bread with a spicy oil on the side. Be careful, it's very spicy! The bread was flavorful with a hint if rosemary. I had the lobster tail and asparagus. The lobster was cooked perfectly. I didn't even need the melted butter it was so tender and flavorful. I'd have to say the best lobster I've had. The asparagus spears were huge and very tasty. The filet was flavorful and cooked a perfect medium rare. We tried the chocolate cake and the caramel buttercream cake. We enjoyed the chocolate, but I would skip the caramel buttercream. Overall an excellent dining experience. We will definitely be back soon!!!

Yelp
We came for a weekday date night at The Lounge and loved every minute! They had live music and we really enjoyed the ambiance. We sat at the bar and ordered some bar bites and appetizers and everything was delicious. The bartender, Christina, took great care of us and was very attentive, and the service was super friendly! She also made the most delicious drinks and we would go back just for her drinks. We loved them all! I recommend the beef crostinis, hawaiian tuna, wagyu meatballs, and blue cheese chips. We ended our meal with their chocolate cake and cheesecake and they were HUGE! We will definitely be back!!!

Christy C.

Yelp
Our waiter was incredibly attentive and patient with those who needed substitutions. My husband had steak and lobster and I had fish. The food was excellent!

Yelp
We have been to the "new" Steve Fields several times now. Sometimes we sit in the bar with just appetizers and cocktails with the great live piano, and sometimes we sit in the restaurant. Tonight we sat in the main restaurant. This place is great. Amazing food and service. I had the 10 oz filet and my wife had the blackened sea bass special. Both were delicious!!! JD was our server tonight, and he was awesome. We will ask for him on our next visit. Give this place a try if you want an excellent dining experience.

Yelp
Been dying to come back to this restaurant. Very elegant! Service was nice, our server seemed a little annoyed but it didn't ruin the night. Definitely coming back for that salmon and creme brulee!

Yelp
A great finding dining experience without the finding prices! Wine bottles prices are so low it make get two.

Yelp
A friend brought me here for good food and drinks during their happy hour. We came on a Wednesday at 4:30pm and sat at the lounge bar. We were fortunate to be served by Christina who, hands down, is the best mixologist I have ever encountered. Every single drink she made was perfectly balanced and she made me the best lemon drop martini I've ever hard - great flavor and just enough alcohol that I was feeling good after one drink. Also, I love it when a bartender is so good at their craft that I can ask them to make me something strong and sweet and they come up with the perfect drink. On this occasion, it was an amazing sangria. The food there is also very tasty. The lounge opens at 4pm, the rest of the restaurant opens at 4:30, but you can get the same food in the lounge as you can the bar. My friend and I opted for the lobster pizza and beef crostini - both wonderfully good. Later in the evening there was a piano player which added a nice touch. I had such a great time that I decided to bring my husband the next week for a date night on Thanksgiving Eve. Christina was there again and I think we drank every specialty drink she makes - I kid, but we did drink a lot...lol. I had a wonderfully festive martini called the Lil Frosty, and my husband had a similar drink but with Espresso - they were both amazing and created by Christina herself. My husband is a sucker for old fashions so we had two of those and, I tell you, I am not a bourbon fan but this is one of the best old fashion I've ever hard. It includes a bacon infused simple syrup that is everything! Once Christina gets that smoker up and running it'll be a top seller on the menu, I promise. And since I love a good lemon drop martini, Christina made me a raspberry lemon drop that was so good my eyes rolled in the back of my head. Lots of drinks, I know, but Christina makes them all so balanced that you don't feel like you've had 2-3 drinks but, trust me, there is plenty of alcohol in her mixes. We ordered the lobster pizza again, which my husband enjoyed, along with the calamari which comes with this awesome sweet chili sauce. Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting Steve himself who was an absolute sweetheart and talked to my husband and I for a few minutes when the restaurant was busy and I'm sure he had plenty of other things to do. He cares about his customers and the restaurant, and it shows. The lounge atmosphere is completely different than the main restaurant so if you are looking for a great happy hour location with wonderful food and drinks you won't find anywhere else, make a trip to Steve Fields and make sure you ask for Christina at the bar lounge.

Went to a Christmas party here. Great service, awesome food and drinks, nice live music in the bar.

Yelp
This place was incredible. The steak was amazing with a delicious crust. And the baked potato that comes with your steak was a very nice surprise, considering most places make you order sides, family style, extra. And the potatoes are truly fully loaded, not sour cream and chive, but fully loaded - cheese, sour cream, BACON, and green onion. Plus, I have no idea how, but every bite is flavored. It's possibly the best baked potato I've ever had. In addition, the appetizer meatballs were so good and the bread, yes the bread, was so delightful with the Serrano pepper oil. Finally, the cake was great too. Just straight up amazing food. The service was terrific, attentive, and friendly. Our waiter did his job to a T. There when we needed him, and knew when to leave us to our company. Perfect job! I'll knock the ambience, it was a bit loud. If you want a quiet evening, probably not the best place to go. But still, everything else was just so great.

Yelp
We so enjoyed our evening out here tonight at Steve Fields! Excellent food, attentive professional service from Cesar and we love the new restaurant! For the food, get the crab cakes - for sure, loaded with lumps of crab... they are like all meat, the lobster shrimp dip was so well done and the french onion soups belongs in the hall of fame of onion soups. The seared tuna, my daughter said it was okay, Ample serving of lettuce on the wedge salad, and my wife enjoyed the tangy dressing. I prefer the standard blue cheese dressing. We all agreed that the crème brûlée was the best ever. It was lighter and fluffier than most, topped with fresh berries and the nice caramelized sugar glaze. Our daughter likes to critique the rest rooms, she gave the rest rooms here 5-Stars, and I concur. We agreed how much more we enjoyed this evening at Steve Fields over say Nick & Sam's or Fleming's. Great food, comfortable ambience and just the right level of service. Thanks for a great evening.

Yelp
I was VERY excited to try this restaurant. Let me start by saying that the staff was absolutely wonderful. Attentive, upbeat, knew the menu, quick, and overall fantastic. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Absolutely stunning tables and a backdrop wine wall. It does get very loud in there. Fortunately, for them, it was an extremely busy Friday night. But that lended to a lot of chaotic background noise, and made it difficult to have a conversation at our table. We were in the back of the restaurant in a booth. I imagine the center of the restaurant was quite worse. All-in-all, it was a good experience, but not what I was expecting from a high end steakhouse. We started with the calamari. It was good, but I feel as though it was something you would find at a lesser caliber restaurant. For dinner, I ordered the chefs fillet. I ordered it medium to medium rare, and it came out perfectly cooked. My criticism is it wasn't very flavorful. It was as though they didn't season it at all. The béarnaise sauce on top was a tablespoon or so at best and also lacked seasoning. It was intended for the sauce to have crab and shrimp. It came with one small piece of shrimp and, a couple of pieces of lump crab. They were just shreds. For the add-on dollar amount, $14, I was expecting much more.

Yelp
We made a last minute reservation for NYE dinner and there was a fixed menu. We tried the crab cake for appetizer, I had the chowder, my husband had a ceasar salad. All delicious. I did the sea bass (think this was just a special for tonight) and he had the prime rib with baked potatoes. It was all cooked perfectly. Very yummy. Jonathan was our server and he was great. Offered solid recommendations and was very personable. This was our first time in and we will definitely be adding it in the rotation. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We made reservations for two to celebrate my birthday and everything was about as good as it could be from feel of the restaurant, to service, to food. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Seriously cannot recommend this restaurant more!!! I hosted a surprise dinner for a good friend of mine with her mom and it was absolutely perfect. It was almost 30 people in the private room with pre set menus. We worked with Katy a couple weeks prior to arrange everything, she was amazing and communicated very well and timely. Steve was lovely as well and a HUGE shoutout to the service team that took care of us. Incredible. Personal, professional and handled every request kindly. The food was outstanding as well. 10/10 experience from start to finish! As someone who used to work in fine dining, I was blown away but this restaurant and the crew!

Loved the old Steve Fields. My friends & I met at the new one and loved the new interior. Lovely. Expensive. Elegant. Then we ordered a drink we saw why. The prices have gone up considerably! It's called Happy Hour, We were NOT happy .

Yelp
I'm from Houston and have never even heard of this place before, and I've been in Dallas for the last 4.5. I love restaurants weeks and this let's me try new places. It's been awhile since we've been out for steak but since it was my husband's bday, it fit the occasion. Ambiance: it was dark and romantic. Decor was new and I love that the building is white. We were sat on a small side table which seemed out of place but I get it, there's only so much room. Food: we got the restaurant weeks shrimp, corn chowder, Caesar salad, rib eye medium rare, side of creamed corn, and carrot cake. Oh! We also got the calamari! Nom. I'd have to say I was really pleasantly surprised. I was scared I was going to be disappointed bc honestly, steak places aren't the same anymore. Quality has gone down or the steak never comes out correctly. The steak was cooked perfectly, and everything was seasoned well. Not too salty. The mashed potatoes did have a little TOO MUCH green onions and the candied nuts on the carrot cake was almost too sweet and was overbearing but other than that I still give it 5 stars bc DAMN that carrot cake was still good the next day! Definitely would go back to try the wagyu skirt steak!

Yelp
This place has been around for a very long time and I have to say I'm still not impressed after several visits over the years! Nothing bad to report but nothing great either.

Yelp
Great restaurant in their new location. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a brand new building. They have great service and the food is on point. We tried the Calamari appetizers as well as the Wagyu Meatballs and of course they were very good. The Chef's Filet was tender and cooked perfectly. Plus, you can't go wrong with the shrimp, lump crab meat and Bearnaise sauce on top. The sides are are mostly single serve (true sides) versus the family size (shareable) sides at most other high end Steakhouses. Lastly we tried the Sorbet dessert along with the Key Lime Pie, which again, you can't go wrong with. The Sorbet is a seasonal pick and ours was Mango flavored this time. The Wait Staff did a great job timing the meal as we asked for them to not worry about rushing out the plates. Give them a try in their new digs, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Restaurant week was great but returned for martini Monday recently and it was fantastic. Great HH specials on both food and drink.
