Quaint venue serving Mediterranean fare such as hummus, meat skewers & gyros, plus wood-fired pizza.
"West Passyunk Ave’s Stina makes consistent, reasonably priced Mediterranean food, but it's also just a fun place to hang out. The BYOB feels like a small dinner party in a friend’s apartment since everyone walking in is carrying their favorite bottle of wine. Although this is technically a pizzeria, almost everything else coming out of Stina’s wood-burning oven works better than their pies. Go for an enormous, boat-shaped pide. Stina makes three different kinds, and while they’re all incredible, the one filled with merguez, mozzarella, and tabbouleh is the one we’d take home to meet our parents." - alison kessler, candis mclean
"A gem of South Philly, Stina Pizzeria is both a neighborhood favorite and a darling of the city. In recent years, it has garnered a sterling reputation for its wood-fired pizza (such as its anchovy and tomato, spicy soppressata pizza, and short rib beef bacon)." - Maddy Sweitzer-Lamme, Ernest Owens, Eater Staff

"There are a few things that surprise us every time we end up at Stina. One is that, even though they have great brick-oven pies, pizza really isn’t the focus here—this place serves some of the best Mediterranean food in town. The other thing is how long we can sit inside and think about the important things in life: our upcoming nap and the next show to binge. When you’re here, go for the merguez—a canoe-shaped Turkish flatbread that has a soft dough that holds a perfect mix of spicy lamb sausage and mozzarella. Plus, with most of the menu costing under $20, your entree will probably be less expensive than the bottle of wine you’re bringing. " - candis mclean
