"Expect a long (but well worth it) wait when you visit this Fishtown landmark and bakery. Serving the community for over a century, the vanilla and chocolate pound cakes are at the top of most customers’ minds, but its collection of cookies and other pastries are also a hit." - George Banks-Weston

Philadelphia’s Best Bakeries | Eater Philly

"At Stock’s, pound cake is the name of the game, and it’s the best in town — not shocking since the Port Richmond bakery has been practicing since 1924. The pillowy cake turns to an almost fudge-like consistency as you chew, and the icing on top is good enough to eat alone. Try the marble cake, too." - Ernest Owens

Best Classic Restaurants in Philadelphia | Eater Philly

"Family-owned since it opened in 1924, this Port Richmond bakery makes a variety of sweets, but the Stock’s name is by now pretty synonymous with pound cake. In fact, around Christmas, the bakery may only offer pound cake, as the bakers scale up production for the busy season." - Eater Staff

Absolutely THE BEST! Stocks cakes hold a cherished place in my family's traditions. Their pound cake is an exquisite delight—fresh, moist, and bursting with flavor. The sweet buttercream frosting complements the cake beautifully, creating a perfect harmony of tastes. And let’s not forget about the buttercake at Stocks; it’s simply to die for! Rich, gooey, and incredibly moist, it's a decadent treat that leaves you craving more. I would love to see Stocks introduce a nut-free chocolate chip cookie; that would be a wonderful addition! Also, a new location in the Northeast would be absolutely ideal, bringing their delightful creations to even more fans.

I was so excited about getting the pound cake I saw on TV. I couldn’t wait to try it. Disappointed is a mild way to put it. It was not moist or flavorful. It tasted like a very cheap store bought cake. It’s dry and the icing lacked flavor as well. I really hate to write a review like this as the staff was very nice. The other baked goods also just looked bland. No crisp or color or richness to it.

If you're from Philly, you already know—Stock’s Bakery is legendary. From their perfectly moist pound cake to the cookies, everything they make is packed with tradition and love. But let me tell you about the babka. They only make it twice a year— Easter and Christmas—and trust me, it’s worth the wait. Moist, sweet, and comforting in a way that’s hard to put into words. For me, it’s personal. My Mom-Mom used to love Stock’s babka. Even though she’s gone, my mom and I get it every time it's available and think of her while we enjoy it. What makes Stock’s special is that they don’t change—they don’t have to. The bakery runs like a well-oiled machine, sticking to what they do best. There’s something incredibly comforting about walking in and knowing exactly what to expect: unbeatable quality baked goods that have never, not once, let me down. It’s been a part of my family’s story for generations, and I look forward to sharing that love with as many people as I can. If you’ve never tried Stock’s—go. It’s a 10/10, always has been, always will be.

Philadelphia does have a well-deserved reputation for its cheesesteaks, and there are many spirited debates about who provides the best ones in the region. But when it comes to bakery delicacies, it's hard to argue that Stock's Bakery doesn't stand out with its frosted pound cake. Stocks was founded over 100 years ago in 1924, and you get to it by jumping off I-95 just above Philadelphia's center city. It weighs approximately two and a half pounds, and you can also find it distributed from other locations around the region. But nothing beats the experience of heading down to Lehigh Ave. and buying several pound cakes for friends and family. In our opinion, you won't find a better pound cake anywhere else.

Google
I heard nothing but good things about this bakery. I decided to try it out not long ago to see what people were raving about. It's a classic local bakery on the north side of Philly. When I walked in the staff was helpful. I purchased (cash only) their vanilla pound cake. Would I say it's the best cake I've ever had? No. I wasn't a fan of the icing. However, it's a decent cake if you need to bring a baked good to a party or holiday event and you don't feel like baking. Or can’t bake like myself. Lol. Stocks is worth a visit if you're in the area. I can at least say I tried it.

Google
The best pound cake!!! I've never been to the store, but every time a friend from Phili comes over, he brings these. I honestly don't know which one I like better, chocolate or vanilla.

Google
Made ordering a wedding cake very easy and the workers were very helpful. Cake was delicious, everyone raved about it. Fairly priced. Will be using them again!

Google
If you live in the Philadelphia area or anywhere for that matter and never had a cake from Stocks Bakery, shame on you. They are without a doubt the most delicious pound cakes around the world PERIOD! Get off your butt and get in line to get a cake from Stocks Bakery! I waited in line for 20 minutes to get my cake, and it was well worth the wait.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to step foot in here today. What the hell was I waiting for? The biggest surprise... the cookies are every bit as good as the legendary pound cake.

Yelp
If you don't know Stocks you should. Everyone here knows Stocks. It is a bakery legend in here in Philly. It should be on any and every Philly food tour. Recently Kylie Kelcie talked about how serious cake is to her, and shes a Stocks girl too! They are known for the most amazing pound cake. It seriously tastes better than any other pound cake you have ever had, I promise. I've been a Stock's fan forever but ive never been to their legendry bakery, until today! It lived up to the hype! We pre-ordered their famous Easter Egg pound cake! They are so gorgous and still only $15! Their regular pound cakes are sold in bricks weighed by the pound. Also when you buy a brick it's wrapped in celphane paper ready to freeze but they cover each brick with butcher paper too which is something I did not know. Bricks come plain or Iced. There are chocolate and vanilla Icing options. I tried to see If there was a menu with all the cake options but I didnt see one on their website or in store. Navigating the website was very difficult. I hope they fix that because websites are helpful. We got there at 3:00 and the bakery was sold out of all bread and most of the pastries. We were able to get some cookies that were amazing. We got sprinkle cookies and jelly. I expected them to taste the same, but the dont. They are two totally different cookies. Both are equally as good. The sprinkle cookie tastes more like butter cookie. Highly recommend trying them both if you can. Cookies are $10 a pound which was 26 cookies. Other cookie spots In the city operate at a much higher price point. I appreciate how budget friendly all the pricing was to kero their food accessible to everyone. Also, I did not know that you can do fund raisers with the bakery. They even have a fundraiser coordinator. Im Interested to see how this works because I raise funds for 2 organizations.

Yelp
Stocks is the best neighborhood bakery! It has the old school vibe. The staff are helpful and nice. The pound cake is famous throughout the Philly area. If your family is from the Riverwards, this cake is at every party! It is delicious. While pound cake may be their claim to fame, the molasses cookies are a special fall treat. At $10/lb it is a good deal! The lemon meringue pie is also delicious with a creamy lemon filling. The meringue to lemon filling ratio is perfect! So go for the pound cake but check out the other goodies too!

Yelp
I will never not sing the praises of Stocks Bakery. I genuinely don't know how they make such delicious poundcakes, and the icing ties it all together. We never miss the opportunity to go get several of their poundcakes and give them away as Christmas presents to family and friends during the holidays. I also recently found out they do wedding cakes! So if that day ever comes for me, I know who I'm getting my cake from haha! If you're visiting the Philly area, or if you're from here and haven't tried Stocks... What in the world are you doing?! This is a must try bakery, and you will certainly not regret it. Definitely should be added to any foodie wish list.

Yelp
Best cake in Philly. My neighbor turned us onto this outstanding bakery when he demanded that catering company for his daughters wedding use them for the wedding cake. Best in class. I never bring home any cake from weddings but not at those two weddings. Could not wait until eating it for breakfast next morning.
google avatar

Kimberly A.

Yelp
They truly do not make bakeries like this anymore. This is true philly staple. Cash only. Staff is super sweet and welcoming. Walking through the door is pure heaven. You cannot stop by without picking up a pound cake. Also obsessed with their jelly shortbread cookies. Perfect treat for anyone. Cakes are also phenomenal:)
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
Perfect old school bakery and reasonably priced. Come for the poundcake, leave with the entire bakery(just bring cash).

Carla C.

Yelp
Best pound cake in and around Philly! Must try! I guarantee you'll love it. The pies are delicious too.
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
This place is nothing fancy on the outside but when you walk in the smell is intoxicating. So much to choose from. We chose a couple of apple danishes for breakfast. The powder sugar coating would be mine. Love the taste of not being over sweet. I'm from the south where everything is over sweet. . We were told they are known for their pound cake. To buy it by the slice you can go next door at the deli & buy it. So we did. It was buttery & moist. So good! They also had cakes and pies for sell that looked delicious too. Swing by and enjoy something delicious You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Stock's Bakery is a family tradition, a legendary Port Richmond neighborhood bakery that has earned a place in pound cake history. Founded in 1924 by Josef Stock, the bakery spans 5 generations of family, quite an achievement. They began selling pound cake around 1945, a dessert traditionally made at home. I'm so glad they did! The joint is small, clean, and homey. The staff members are attentive and when busy they really hustle, forming six lines to serve you. Be sure to tip the workers. At the holidays, I suggest calling in your order so you don't miss out when the pound cakes sell out. And, they do! Only during the holidays they make anise-flavored German Springerlie cookies, which have a design pressed into them. They are hard cookies/biscuits that require coffee or hot tea to soften. Mmmmm they are so good. Order those ahead, too. Bring cash to buy a "vanilla bar", which is pound cake with vanilla icing. You can try marble or chocolate icing but, why? The vanilla bar is pure perfection. Weighing in at much more than a pound, you're likely to pay around $15 for the 2.5 lb vanilla bar. It'll be the best $15 you've ever spent. They are often packed, standing room only but, they are well-staffed and run several lines to serve you quickly. I can't imagine how many vanilla bars XXX Quickly, yes. That's how fast a vanilla bar disappears in my house. This trip, I bought sone for friends and 2 for my family. They freeze well. I cut them in half before freezing and defrost 1/2 at a time in the refrigerator. You can elevate and commemorate your next family or business event by special ordering a large pound cake - baptisms, weddings, birthdays, holiday parties... your guests will thank you. YES, I'll be back to the Port Richmond location! I love everything about the original spot - despite the drive, the toll, the parking For those in PA and NJ, there are many restaurants that act as retailers across several PA counties and as far as Wildwood. (They do not ship.) Find a complete list pinned on their Facebook page and follow: https://www.facebook.com/Stocksbakery?mibextid=avESrC

Yelp
For me, my history with stock goes back 15-20 years. I found out because we have a family friend who is part of the stocks family. She and my wife taught together, that's how I learned about THE POUND cake. It's rich it's flavorful. It goes good with everything except maybe hot sauce. We used to drive down to pick it up at the bakery, which was always crowded. It still is. The reason there are not five stars on this review is due to the horrible parking. It's just a very congested area so be prepared, but it is worth it by all means and now I look forward through other retailers that brought on their product, even though are hard to find if you can enjoy whether it's the classic pound cake or the marble poundcake Equally delicious definitely worth any kind of wait!!

Yelp
Great pound cake. Interesting neighbor- bring cash. Best of Philly. Sold by the pound not by the loaf. Old world craftsmanship.
google avatar

Yelp
Well, known for their pound cake, we went to get ours. They are to die for!!!! They offer a vanilla and marble type. You can get both of these options with vanilla icing on top. They also have many other Polish options, as well as different style donuts. Get there early to avoid a long lines on the weekends!! Cash only!!!

Roberta W.

Yelp
Dealt with them for years thank goodness you can get pound cakes in Jersey since I can't get to Philly - usually send four to family in Georgie for holidays - best poundcake ever
google avatar

Faith M.

Yelp
All time favorite bakery!!! I go to CONSTANTLY for pound cakes. Had my wedding cake from there and got EVERYONE from my family hooked. Whenever I got I end up having to buy pound cakes for everyone, and they freeze so well for my family out of state to stock up.
google avatar

Ann V.

Yelp
I honestly don't get the hype. The pound cake isn't amazing nor is it horrible - it's really just nothing special. I absolutely love pound cake but this tasted like any other super sweet wedding cake in my opinion. I would say if you like a very heavy and sweet cake, this is your type of cake. I just personally would not go out of my way for it.
google avatar

Amanda U.

Yelp
Stopped by stocks because I always drive by it and my husband said that they had good reviews for their pound cakes! So, I stopped in to check it out and grab a few for the fam. When I walked in, the staff wasn't really friendly which kind of gauged my experience with this place. I told them it was my first time and they didn't really seem to care, nor did they really seem excited to get new customers. Not once did either girls smile... they had a huge RBF face and attitude. Their pound cakes are priced by weight. So, there's no really fixed price. It's a cash only place, so be sure to bring cash! Pound cakes were alright. Not too heavy or sweet. But nothing to really rave about.
google avatar

Yelp
A Philly classic and a simple but dense comfort. I'd say this is the standard by which all other pound cakes should be judged. I didn't know until I moved away that pound cake wasn't readily available in cafes in other cities. So when I moved back, I needed to introduce my husband to the joy of pound cake. I decided to start with the tried and true, so we headed to Stock's. Going to Stock's Bakery is a simple move. They have some cookies and other baked goods, but it's clear as you walk through the doors that pound cake is why you came. Racks and racks of squared loaves of vanilla or marbled dense, buttery cake. There's plain or frosted (chocolate or vanilla). If quantity is important to you, that's no problem here. My loaf of pound cake weighed in at 2.72 pounds. (We took guesses and weighed it when we got home.) More importantly, the cake is buttery, moist, and delicious. As the others have said, it's cash only.
google avatar

Paul V.

Yelp
Marble pound cake was delicious and tasteful I also got butter cake and I can eat one all by myself and I bought 4 of each

Louisa M.

Yelp
Delicious shortbread!! Stumbled upon this cute relic bakery and my taste buds were pleased. Feels like a historic landmark due to the original carpet and furniture. The service was good. It was busy, but they moved the line right along and I was in and out. Get your fresh, scrumptious shortbread from here!

Yelp
Made a pilgrimage yesterday. In all seriousness, I'm a suburban dweller, and Stocks' is in an old part of the city where parking is...creative. I've always gotten my fix through satellite bakery locations or fundraisers. Yesterday, though, I decided to go to the source. I needed to go someplace nearby. What the heck. First, it's easier to get to than it seems. Do not follow Google Maps. Their directions are nuts. 95-Aramingo- Lehigh. Second, they have a "loading zone only" curb right out front. Easy parallel pull in except if someone decides to creatively park. Expect creativity, this is Philly. Third, they have an employee outside who staggers entry and tells you which of 3 stations to go to. Wasn't crowded so no wait. The place is so so so typical of a Philly row home bakery, it was like stepping back in time. Glass cases, "marbled" Formica countertops, linoleum floors. Clean, and smells like heaven. They have plastic barriers up across the counter and you hand your money through a slot. Purchase is placed in a corral at the end of the row. Cash only. The pound cake super fresh from the oven is absolutely not shareable. I don't care who you are. It's fantastic. Mine, my precious! All mine! Gets your own, I says!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious and moist pound cake. Generous members if the community. Philadelphia perfection!
google avatar

Tamara C.

Yelp
Softest and best cake you could ever dream of. It was so good; I didn't think about posting a review until I was done. The cakes are thick, fresh and hefty in size. Well worth the money and time. If you don't get there at a good time, the door can be around the corner. They only take cash which I don't like because I only carry plastic, but it saves me on spending an easily $100. When I get it, I don't share and it's even tastier with a cup of Bustelo coffee. You will not regret it at all. Next time I'll take a picture before I dig into it.
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
Best bakery, PERIOD! Service is always fast and courteous. Easy to find! Best Pound Cake I have ever eaten! My father-in-law bought my birthday cake from here a few years ago...It was also delicious.
google avatar

Shane J.

Yelp
I tried Stock's Pound Cake recently and it still holds up after all these years! If it ain't broke..., I cut up a marble pound and froze a few pieces! When I returned from a recent trip..thawed it out and it was a nice lil treat! While at Stock's I grabbed a few donuts and thought a lil too dense for my tastes...I prefer a more pillowy type! Overall...Stock's is still doin it and doin it well! Nice!
google avatar

Gloria E.

Yelp
I've tried rolls and pound cake from here, and both were super cheap, and grabbing them, I encountered quick, friendly service. There are parking options nearby with angled parking and side streets. Cash only, but inexpensive so likely not an issue! I think there's a deli with an atm across the street. Around the holidays, lines are huge and they are working hard! Go early and try this tasty cake...
google avatar

Linda D.

Yelp
Off charts best pound cake in the world.. "Stock" up and save for later. Can't get enough
google avatar

Stephan G.

Yelp
We always pick these up for holidays Easter Christmas never had anyone say anything be great things about pound cakes, but this year everyone saided these were not the same cakes. Little icing and something is different about cakes.... not the same. We will find a new tradition.
google avatar

Ju L.

Yelp
We were first gifted a Stock's pound cake by our realtor a few weeks back. Like a fellow yelper said, how good could a pound cake be? It's a pound cake! Well, this pound cake with icing on the top is possibly THE best pound cake I've eaten in my life. Rich, buttery and kind of reminds me of Sara Lee. My husband and I polished off the entire loaf in two days. And then bought ourselves three more. We arrived 10 mins after the bakery opened on a Tuesday morning, and waited about 35 minutes in line to get inside the bakery. A pound cake costs between $12-13, but it's worth it. I also overheard the tea biscuits are delicious, but they were already sold out. I will have to come back another time for those! Don't forget to bring cash!
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
Redditors raved about this bakery so I came by to try out their internet famous pound cake. The pound cake is priced and sold by the pound. You have your choice of regular or marbled pound cake and it is either iced with vanilla or chocolate icing. The loaf is dense and the cake is so moist and buttery. The perfect treat for the holidays. I will definitely pick up a loaf to bring home for Thanksgiving. It's cash only which I am not a fan of but oh well. This place is a little bit far from the center of the city. But it was well worth the trip.

Thomas T.

Yelp
There is not much else to say about Stock's bakery, other than it's poundcake. And if you love poundcake, it's perfection. If you don't like poundcake, don't go to Stock's and one has to question your judgment. It is a counter and poundcake. Nothing special. But the poundcake is perfect. Never had a better nor can I imagine better. There's no ambiance. Service is pay and get your poundcake. Thank you Stock's.
google avatar

Kristyn S.

Yelp
This place is a local, hidden gem! Their pound cake is to die for and what most come for. However, Don't forget about their other baked goods! Their donuts are amazing. This is a to go type joint, not somewhere you'd go to eat. They've taken some huge steps to keep their employees and customers safe during these times. For a small business I applaud them. Keep number of customers to a certain number, managed by a girl at the door. Have plexiglass up between "stations" and between you and the employee. Love this place!!!! Must go to if you're local
google avatar

Lucy P.

Yelp
Their pound cake is delicious. This is not your normal pound cake. I think monks bless the cakes or unicorns sprinkle them with magic. Seriously that good. My favorite is the vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. I am not sure how they do it but the cakes have the right cake to frosting ratio. Oh and do yourself a favor and get the cookies too. They are great. Plus you need something for the ride home. FYI cash only
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
I'm not a dessert person...I would rather use the calories and space on savory food. But for Stock's, I'll forgo eating for a week if I have to. The pound cake is by far the absolute best dessert ever. We get it for birthdays, anniversaries, baby shower, football...you name it! It's sweet but not over powering. It has a denser texture but not heavy. Think about everything you ever wanted cake to be; that's a Stock's pound cake.
google avatar

Ajia L.

Yelp
When I first heard about Stock's, I wondered if a pound cake could ever be THAT good? How could something so seemingly simple and classic taste any different than anything else I've tried? OH, but it does. I never thought I'd enjoy this brick of a cake as much as I do. It is deliciously dense and with such a beautiful and uniform air/crumb structure that only a baker could appreciate. The pound cakes come in either classic vanilla or marble (vanilla and chocolate) flavors, with or without icing. They sell them by the brick and are priced by weight. Typically, each brick costs about $11-12 each. They sell many other items like babkas, pies, and decorated cakes. All of which are popular and regularly sell out quickly. So, always try to get here earlier than later. The lines are long, but move fast because people already know what they want. For large holiday or special orders, I'd recommend pre-ordering to guarantee they'll have what you want. CASH ONLY!
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Philly is known for a lot of things, some good, some bad. For foodies Philly of course is the ubiquitous cheesesteak, and lesser known to some, the roast pork sandwich, Philly pretzels of course, and various ethnic specialties abound, although many seem to be dying off. But Stocks, now this is one gem that not all that many people know about. Up in a nondescript area of North Philly lies this little corner bakery that makes the absolute best butter poundcake you've ever tasted. Now, they don't make it easy for you to acquire what with a limited number of days open, long holiday breaks, zero e-commerce capability, so maybe that's part of the mystique. Call ahead and make sure they'll be open and have what you want. Buy enough to slice up and freeze. You're welcome. Oh and, forget about the other stores that carry Stocks. Prices are outrageous and supply is spotty at best.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I thought the pound cake wouldn't live up to all the hype. After all its just pound cake! I was so wrong! It's delicious and rich and sweet.
google avatar

Paige G.

Yelp
By far the best pound cake I've ever had. You don't want to miss this place. The pound cake is made fresh everyday and there's no doubting that. It's so dense, moist and flavorful. I'm dreaming about it now as I write this review. The pound cake is delicious by itself but we have ordered plenty of cakes from there and they are out of this world. The icing complements the cake perfectly and isn't overly sweet. By far the best bakery in Philly!
google avatar

Dave D.

Yelp
Pound cake is usually too plain for me. However, this is different. We imported five cakes from Philly to Virginia.
google avatar

Kathy T.

Yelp
The best pound cake that I have ever had!! And the icing had just the right amount of sweetness without being sickening sweet.
google avatar

Tanya M.

Yelp
So I just at Greenrock Tavern and and had the burger on the Stocks Poundcake and that was so amazing that we ordered the Socks poundcake and Icecream dessert. I can't wait until I need a cake again because I am going to run there, it was the best poundcake I'd ever tasted. The girls that work there where actually there in the next booth ( ironically). Can't wait to stop by and see what else the have baking.

Ken O.

Yelp
Absolutely, Positively the BEST POUND CAKE you'll ever eat. While everything at STOCK'S is delicious .. their pound cake is off the charts. Do nothing but cut it & eat it .. & .. you'll taste a moist, buttery piece of heaven. STOCK'S butter cookies are a " must " also .. & .. they're right there by the pound cake. So do yourself a favor and grab both of them. You will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Valentin P.

Yelp
Very dense and thick. I usually like airy pastries but this was a very good pound cake. The line was very long and many people were buying like more than 10 for holidays. It is sold by weights and I paid about $12 for mine. Everyone seemed to be getting vanilla so I got the same. Maybe I will try Marble next time.
google avatar

Allie A.

Yelp
I did not know that that if you mention Stock's Bakery out loud, people audibly gasp and then they have to tell you about their Aunt Concetta or Uncle Bud who stands in line for 2 hours to get their pound cake at Easter. "They took it for the team, my Aunt Concetta." So one day a slice of this miraculous chocolate-frosted pound cake landed in front of me. I was told I had to be grateful that I was being gifted this slice, because the rest of the cake had already been devoured. HOLY FROSTING. So so good. The cake itself is actually denser than I expected, but very very flavorful - I could taste a bit of lemon and vanilla. The frosting was light and not heavily layered, so not overpowering at all. By the time I was done, I had licked every morsel of the cake off my plate. No picture therefore exists. Sorry not sorry.

Yelp
I am from Chicago born and raised. I had heard that Stock's has the best pound cake in Philly and since I love pound cake, I knew I had to one day pay a visit. Well I finally had my chance since I had to be in Philly this past weekend. We stopped in on a Saturday around 11:30am. No lines which was great. I was told the most popular flavors are the plain vanilla and marbled with chocolate frosting. So I got one of each. They were weighed on the scale and I paid $26 for 2 of the cakes. Cash only. The cakes were so moist and delicious. Truly the best pound cake I have tasted. Paying a visit to Stock's bakery was worth my visit to Philly. I even brought a vanilla pound cake home back to Chicago

Yelp
Beg, borrow, steal. It don't matter. When we are talking pound cake like this, you get it by any means. Every time I'm in philly I'll stop by and buy 4-5 loafs and ship 4 back to florida for myself and the family. For anyone that doesn't know, they weigh them up and you pay by the pound. There's something about growing up with this that just makes all other pastries and baked goods inferior. They even made my moms wedding cake back in the day. 10/5 would recommend this place to a friend.

Yelp
I'm seeing that this bakery has so many wonderful reviews, however when I tried their baked goods I unfortunately didn't get the wonderful deliciousness that everyone raved about. My friend purchased the iced pound cake for her birthday and she was sooo excited to get this cake! Her excitement actually made me excited so were all hanging out at and we decided to try the cake I cut myself a piece and ended up tasting one of the dryest and I'm sure that's not a word, but the cake was dry!! with very minimum flavor. I was shocked and saddened b/c if you purchase something from a bakery you expect high quality food oh so sad.! So my friend was disappointed as well and she ended up bringing them back , she actually purchased two pound cakes and a butter cake and all was dry. They gave her this excuse stating the cake was dry due to her placing it in the refrigerator and the condenser in the refrigerator ( makes the cake dry) and she should have used a bread knife instead of a butter knife ughh!! Overall I didn't get the great experience now I don't know if it was due to the high demand of Memorial day or what. Maybe their baked goods are delicious but I just ended up tasting a bad batch.

Yelp
Stocks bakery is a small place with very good Sweet Treats such as ,pies, doughnuts, and their famous pound cake. Which is moist and consistent.... Prices are fair. staff is friendly and quick to serve you... They are covid-19 in check Although asking for changes is a bit steep they won't change simple cake decorating ...... If asked... The cake icing is A little to sugar sweet ... suggestion your bakery could be the best of the best .if it was changed to take the bakery to the best of the best!!! . ANSWER( Butter cream ) this bakery and your butter pound cake would be 5 stars!! ...Hope they read this review (butter cream icing) guys !! You got this if you do this small change of your icing could make all the difference in a franchise of your business.... Take it home stocks your almost there!!!
