This has always been a great place for hearty food, good drinks and wonderful service. So for Family Birthday party for 20 were arranged a dinner using their wonderful back room and patio. They let us set up early and were just so wonderful to work with. Everyone was amazed at the delicious appertizers, food and drinks. And our incredible server for the night, @Madeline, was on top of every aspect, delightful, and made the evening even more special. It was a really fun night and truly a gem in our neighborhood.

Came here for lunch today (Sunday 1/18) for the first time. Despite empty tables, there was a 15 minute wait...and once our table was ready we were taken to the lakeside patio and offered a choice of a small table in full sun, or another in the corner next to a large party with kids who were playing and dancing next to where we would be seated. We asked for an inside table instead or one in the shade (as there were about 5 or so open) but advised it would be another 15 mins or so due to shortage of servers. We agreed to wait more for an inside table and sat at the bar in the meantime. Bartender was nice and gave us menus...and just as she gave us some waters we suddenly were told a booth was open...and to our surprise the Bartender became our Server. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. Drinks were good and prompt but it was about 35 mins into our dining experience that we finally got the appetizer. The Bartender/Server even said "wow you still don't have the appetizer?" and went to check on it. She came back another few mins later and said "they're having a hard time with it today". We ordered the fried ravioli, not sure how complex that is to make but ok. My guess is they dont have enough cooks on staff today either. We put in the rest of our order at that point, realizing it may take a while to get our orders in general...and eventually all the food showed up but not really spaced out like you would want your dining experience to be. We ordered a salad, pizza, and eggplant parm. The food was just ok, average in taste/flavors. The eggplant parm was drowned in marinara and soggy. Pizza was fine....good crust and cook on it. The jalapeños on it were insanely hot tho, and we regularly eat them so not sure where this batch came from. Portions are overly gigantic which is cool but unnecessary. Had I known this was a family style type of dining (its not stated anywhere but should be) I would have ordered something else. We were not offered dessert...not even sure what there is available for dessert...just given the check and some boxes. We took a lot home. Staff in general was cordial and doing the best they can. Maybe this was an off day for this place with shortage of servers and cooks...we never caught our Bartender's name and the receipt simply said "Bar A" when we paid at the end. She was doing the job of at least 2 people. However we noticed the Hostess also playing Server to other tables and she even brought us our entrees. Location is nice with ample parking and the patio in back with the lake is nice, but some tables are in full sun...might be nicer in the evening. Ambiance and decor are fine. Bathroom was a bit old but clean. Bar has a few tvs as does the restaurant itself. This was just an ok place, average at best, so not sure we would come back as it was out of our way to come here.

Fell in love with this place! We went for the first time for our anniversary and it was delicious!!! I love the traditional Italian pizza. The bruschetta and Caesar were amazing appetizers. I got the white wine sangria and it was refreshing. Also they have SPUMONI!!! Huge fan all around! Also service was amazing!

Outstanding food! Plus the happy hour has some great drink specials. There’s rigatoni ala vodka is amazing. The salads are also wonderful, just add a protein and it’s a meal. Outstanding service, food, and drinks - I love coming here.

Walked in for happy hour and ordered the clams, mussels and shrimp appetizers. $2 off. I would go for the mussels again, very good! A little spicy. Stone sour was strong! Restaurant is next to a pond, there is outside seating which is beautiful at night. Great service and not too busy for us to get in and out in 30 minutes.

Ordered takeout and tried the margherita Flatbread wirh chicken and the zucchini fries. Not a fan of the zucchini- very mushy and bland. However, the Flatbread was delicious. Looks like a beautiful setting if you're looking for a casual Italian spot.

I took my mom here from Maricopa. We shared the lazy lasagna that was gluten free made and it was out of this world. We also shared the beet salad that was phenomenal with huge beets and the perfect starter! Would absolutely recommend this place and is one of our new favorites. Always has amazing service and food accommodating, especially for gluten and other dietary and allergy restrictions.

We ordered the 13" GodFather pizza and it did not disappoint. We made it disappear without a trace. Everything from the sauce, Italian sausage, ham, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese even down to the crust will leave you satisfied. I imagine that all the pizzas taste this good. It's a must try, 100% satisfied. We even bought a to-go meal to savor the flavor.

My partner and I arrive with reservations to celebrate our anniversary. We get seated pretty quickly, but took 20 minutes for someone to approach us to get our drink order and appetizer. Our server Michael A asked if we'd been helped yet as we are very clearly sat in his section. The restaurant was not full and he seemed to only have one table besides us. Though he was very kind to offer us a free appetizer for the wait in which we were okay with. The food did come out pretty fast and it was delicious. Our server checked in on us after we were ready for boxes for our meal and brought us the check. In which we waited another 20 minutes in which we went to the host stand confused if we had to pay up front. The hostess had to get the manager so we could pay and leave. Though the food was very good the service was very lacking especially for how not busy the restaurant was.

Stone and Vine's ambiance is so romantic, it is the PERFECT date spot. My only complaint via seating was that they wouldn't let us sit next to the water and said those tables were reserved but nobody came to them while we were there. We ordered a lot of food and were cramped in our tiny table. Our food was absolutely delicious, some of the best Italian cuisine I've ever had. The service from Sophia in particular went above and beyond, she was very kind to us. I would definitely recommend this place!

I got the salmon milan (3.5/5) and split the beet salad (4.25/5). The free bread was ok (3/5); it was a little dry. The beets were well cooked and seasoned, and the arugula and dressing was also pretty good; this was a winner at our table. The salmon was good, but there wasn't anything special about it; it was grilled well but not seasoned much and didn't have its skin on. The grilled asparagus was probably the best part. Overall, the salmon milan was ok, but it was pretty simple and not something I'd order again or go out for. The service was pretty good (4/5), and sitting outside by the water is nice, especially with space heaters when it's a little chilly (4/5).

We came to your restaurant for an early dinner and some cocktails. We came in at 3:00 and we were told that it would be 10-15 minutes before seats would be available even though your restaurant is half empty. We were informed that your restaurant was under staffed and that we would have to wait for diners to vacate their tables so we left. Are you serious.

Great food and great service! This last week we were visiting from Wisconsin. We decided to stop in! This was our second time here as we ate here last visit as well. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was Justus's good as I remembered it! The service was good and the wine was tasty. We will definitely be back on our next visit!

This restaurant came highly recommended and it was definitely a good one. For starter we ordered the caprese that came with thick slices of mozzarella and crisp tomato slices - really tasty. My entree was the short rib with pasta - the short rib was so flavorful and tender and it was a huge piece of meat, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the mushroom sauce complemented the dish so well. For drink I had the espresso martini- it came very light colored, probably because the Baileys, but it was really yummy and strong. Great service, really great food, would eat here again for sure!

Stone and Vine is a nice restaurant located in the Ocotillo area of South Chandler. The location sits on a lake and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. The service was good and while the tables were a little dated outside, the overall vibe and view were fantastic. The food is classic Italian with pizza and appetizers as well. We had spaghetti and meatballs, penne vodka, chicken marsala, and chicken cacciatore. All the dishes were good, and it was nice to see they make their own pasta fresh each day. The prices were on par for the entrees we ordered, and they do have a full bar and dessert options. We brought home plenty of leftovers and I would like to go back to try the pizza. They do have happy hour food and drink specials during the week. Overall, a nice gem in South Chandler and worth checking out!

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Chandler. They have delicious brunch. My favorite though is the fig and prosciutto pizza. The pizzas are very generous portion sizes. I often split one with a friend. They also do a bottomless mimosas option. Service here is phenomenal. They have a beautiful patio that is great in the winter time. Definitely add this to your Sunday brunch options. Restrooms are nice Service is quick and the people here are always kind.

Stopped by Stone & Vine for Sunday brunch. Stone & Vine has a laid‑back, casual vibe for both indoor dining and the lakeside patio. The server was friendly and attentive. Food was okay; the bruschetta was the star, calamari lacked flavor, and the Caesar salad was too tangy.

Stone & Vine has enormous individual pizzas! It was my pleasure to host a lunch for the Red Hat ladies of my community. Service was great but if you're going to have a party of 25 or more there is a $500 fee for a separate room and with a party that large they do Not do separate checks. Food is always great!

This place is so good! The price is reasonable too,loved it. 10/10 will be going back.

Stone and Vine is a great spot for family dinner. I'm a big fan of their pastas. During the winter months service can be a bit slow but it is worth the wait. If you're sitting outside in the winter you're going to want to take advantage of the heat lamps. Make sure to get one of the team members to turn them on for you.

We had a wonderful Mother's Day meal here! We sat on the patio, which was thankfully shaded, and enjoyed the breeze from the lake. We started with a happy hour margarita pizza to share amongst our group, and that was pretty good. We also enjoyed happy hour prices on glasses of wine and a cocktail, all well-received. We ordered a variety of dishes, the lazy lasagna, mushroom risotto with added scallops, arrabiata, and chicken piccata. Everyone enjoyed their entrees- and I felt my risotto with scallops was especially delicious. The service was great as well on a very busy holiday. We will definitely return

This is another great Stone and Vine restaurant location. Service is always top notch and the food never disappoints. They have a great selection of cocktails, beer and sangria. I tried the cucumber, basil martini which was light and refreshing. I enjoyed the comfy atmosphere, we had a nice booth with a view of the patio which was hosting a private party. Overall it is a great place to hang out and enjoy happy hour or a meal.

I can't say enough great things about this place. This is probably the 4th time I've been here so I thought I'd finally give a review. I had my go to drink, an Espresso Martini and it was heaven. The Mushroom Risotto was creamy, well seasoned and full of mushrooms. We also shared at the table one of their Bruschetta boards which all 3 were delicious. The staff were very accommodating as we had reservations for 6 but arrived almost 45 minutes early. If have not been give it a try! Also their chicken parm, chicken piccata, lazy lasagna and pizzas are wonderful. Great vibes in the restaurant for sure!

Greeted as we entered and were seated immediately. Fairly busy for a weekday. We asked about some of their wine and were offered a few to sample. We ordered Montepulciano Italian wine. Nice full bodied wine with complex fruity and coffee note. We order bruschetta, choose of three. We choice Brie/apple/honey, Smoked Salmon/capers and Lemon/Articoke/Parmesan. All were delicious although the star was Smoked Salmon. Our server was attentive and friendly. The decor rustic Tuscan and provided a comfortable environment. Nice happy hour with discounts on wine, beer and all appetizers. Highly recommended.

I've said it before and I'll say it again but coming here is like the television show. Cheers! I always sit at the bar and the bartenders tend to recognize me because I do go there frequently. Lily is my favorite bartender! She's a real hoot! Anyway, I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and my smoked salmon bruschetta and of course, both were delicious and refreshing! This is my go to place when I just need to relax and forget about a hard day!

Looking for a new Italian place to try my hubby and I found Stone & Vine. I've heard about it but had never been. Parking was ample on a Sunday evening but still busier than I expected. We were seated right away. The decor is rustic Italian and the noise level was good considering that most tables were full. We could hold a conversation easily. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order. I tried a local Hefeweizen and hubby stuck with water. We ordered the crispy ravioli appetizer and it was delicious. In my opinion just the right amount for two to share without getting to full for dinner. I opted for chicken piccata which came with a lovey Parmesan risotto. It was perfectly cooked and came with 4 pieces of chicken. My hubby ordered the fettuccine without chicken which they happy obliged and thankfully discounted the price for omitting the chicken. I love that they make the pasta in house daily! Bread did come with the meal but we did have to ask for it. Not sure if that is standard. However it was very soft and freshly baked warm bread that was the perfect accompaniment to our meals. To finish off we ordered the crème brûlée to share and hubby ordered a decaf espresso. The crème brûlée was very tasty with a perfect sugar crack on top, however we both agreed the espresso was very bitter. We are both looking forward to returning with family to try more of the menu!

Call ahead for seating just in case. Service was great. I ordered the linguini and clams. The flavor was spot on, they were incredibly generous with the clam meat. My only critique is that the sauce could be thicker, so that it can "latch on" the noodles better for more flavorful bites. But my date liked it, so this is personal preference. The vodka rigatoni was good, the texture of the penne worked well with the creamy sauce. Want to come back to try the pizzas.

If you want good food, good service, and fairly reasonable prices, this place is for you! You walk in and it's a very unassuming place. It's a mix of old school Italian family mixed with a little bit of sports bar in the sense that there are tv's around the place playing sports. Seating is very close quarters but plenty of space so less likely to wait. Happy hour is DAILY from 3:00-7:00 which is so rare these days. It included so much food and so many beverage options there is truly something for everyone. Main event? The food. We weren't sure what to expect since the last Italian place we tried we did not enjoy. This place exceeded our expectations. Bruschetta (4 types on happy hour pricing) was simple but flavorful and fresh. Kids meal was a little small but well made and full of butter (my kiddos dream). Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken was the star of the show with the chicken perfectly blackened and the sauce absolutely insane. A perfect balance of buttery, peppery, and smooth. Service was FAST and pleasant. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars was we felt the food should come with at least a little bit of bread and oil or something. It would have been a nice little filler and a great way to get the extra sauce out of the bowl. We will definitely be coming back!

I met up with family for lunch yesterday and I was really impressed with Stone & Vine! Nice atmosphere, lots of booths, good sized patio, cool decor and excellent music playing at the perfect level (you could still hear in a conversation!). The view of the water is quite nice, as well. Our server was friendly and efficient and did a great job taking care of us. We started with a garlic knots. A slight crisp on the outside, chewy and garlicky on the inside with the perfect hint of garlic. It was plenty for us to share and we had two spare knots that went home as leftovers. For my meal I ordered the Parmiagana Panino (panini) with fries. The sandwich was better than I even expected! Since I don't like steak fries, when the plate came out, I thought I wouldn't like them. They were cut in a way I've never seen before and they were crispier than steak fries and quite tasty! I will definitely return to S&V and it will be sooner than later...I want to take my husband!

Had a pretty mediocre experience here. I asked if I could get no onions on one of the bruschetta & my server nodded yet it came out with onions anyway. I believe maybe she misheard what I asked because when pointing out that my order had onions, I was told that they cannot be ordered without. I was then told I could just order a replacement and keep the one with onions since it was out on the table anyway. I thought this was really lovely until later I found out that I was charged for the replacement. Not a huge deal as it was just $4 but somewhat frustrating. The soppressata was probably my favorite out of the board. I was a big fan of the fettuccini alfredo's chewy/firm texture but I didn't really like the sauce. Didn't really taste like the creamy alfredo i'm used to.

Ordered in, the portion sizes here are really good and if you have light eaters, you can easily spilt 2 entrees and one appetizer amongst 3 people! We ordered the risotto, chicken alfredo and garlic knots. garlic knots : 7/10 few of them were abit burnt and did not have enough bread to garlic butter ratio as expected and seemed a bit doughy. Mushroom Risotto : Just one word. Gorgeous! 9/10. Even when ordered in it was wow, can only imagine how it'll be dining in! Chicken alfredo : 7/10 - Have had better, chicken pieces were a bit too big.. sauce was a bit thick instead of silky. Other than that, the flavour and taste was awesome! Do check it out!

We were seated immediately. Our waitress was there very quickly and so friendly. We ordered and received our appetizers before she even took our order. Which I loved not being rushed. Ordered the fish & chips. I highly recommend them. They were so delicious and the tartar was yummy. Very nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Strong menu with lots of choices. Delicious food. Professional and excellent service. Lovely atmosphere can have a Great conversation as no loud music in the back round.

We arrived early for our reservation but they still were able to see us, which was very nice. We had a very cute table in the corner on the patio which was lovely. Our server came over right away to take our first order; I ordered the cranberry spritzer which was very nice. Unfortunately it took 20 minutes to get my drink and and then another couple of minutes for our server to come back and take our food order. We ordered the meatball appetizer, which was very good. Then we had the short ribs, which my husband really enjoyed, and spicy salami Pizza - lots of salami, yummy crust. The food was very good. But we won't go back due to the service that we got. Hard to enjoy your evening out when you're sitting waiting to be served.

Excellent Salmon piccata; you must try that dish!! Next time I go; I want one to eat and one to take! It was that good!

My husband and I went for dinner. We had a reservation so got seated right away! We sat inside, and the ambiance was cozy and intimate. We got the pizza, pasta, and the fried zucchini! I got the sangria, and he got a glass of red wine. The food portion size was larger than expected. Our favorite has to be the zucchini chips. The woodfired Margarita pizza with salami was good but the salami overpowered the flavor and made the pizza too salty! The pasta was andante and not too heavy on cream. Just the way we like it. The service was fast and our server took good care of us! Would like to be back to try other items! Give it a try. I hope your dining experience turns out to be as good as ours.

How did I not realize that not only have I been here before, but I've reviewed the restaurant before? I'm leaving it for the humor. Lol! I have lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and have just tried this place out for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I'll be honest, I heard it was a Sun Lakes fave and just figured it wouldn't be the ambiance my little family would be into. Shame on me. It's lovely, the food is great. I especially like the arabiatta (spicy as heck friends), and the shrimp fettuccine. Husband and kids LOVE the pizzas. The fried zucchini is amazing. We've gone twice in two weeks. It's obv becoming a fast fave for us!

My wife Sheri and I had an occasion to visit Chandler, AZ from our home in north eastern AZ., since we had the evening free we perused our Yelp app for local restaurants near us and were attracted to Stone & Vine Urban Italian. Being of Italian heritage this is always on my radar. Upon entering we noticed the bar was filled with a lively crowd enjoying Happy Hour cheer (always a good sign), a misting outdoor patio, and a nicely subdued dining room. After being seated by our hostess our friendly waiter, Connor, greeted us, took our drink order, and introduced us to their menu. He noted that all their pasta was homemade and their Parmesan cheese was imported and freshly grated in house; so, naturally we ordered from the pasta selections. I picked their "Five Cheese Ravioli with meat sauce" and Sheri selected their classic "Spaghetti and gigantic Meatballs. We wondered why our entrees didn't come with salads or bread until Connor, brought or steaming hot plates. They were huge potions! You had to have a lumberjacks appetite to eat the full entree and any side but we were traveling couldn't tote a"Doggie Bags," our loss because the food was delicious and fairly priced. We left satisfied for our experience and ready to return when back in the Chandler area. Just remember, bring an appetite or be prepared to tote your leftovers home!

It was our first time at Stone & Vine and it did not disappoint. Our friends would mention their bruschetta and it sure was delicious. I got the classic tomato, basil one and the brie, apple, honey. Both were fantastic - the bread they used for the bruschetta wasn't too crunchy like other places. It was soft in the right places. We also ordered the Godfather pizza which was an all meat pizza (pepperoni, Canadian ham, etc.) and the fried zucchini. The pizza crust is made in house and it was so fluffy and yummy. I love a good craft pizza! The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. We sat outside and it's right by a little lake and had a pretty view. Great place to take my toddler since he gets a little restless indoors. Not pictured was my son's cheese pizza which was good quality for a kid's dinner - it had the same amazing pizza crust and he scarfed it down so fast!

3.5 stars... In the area and a work colleague recommended this joint, and the food didn't disappoint! Decent local beer selection, I opted for Huss... Tender chicken with a tomato cream sauce, was advertised as spicy but I got none of that... opted for the veggies instead of the fettuccine to save room for dessert. Cheesecake was my choice, and was cool and creamy with a toasted sugar crust...I asked for some berries and was rewarded with raspberries! Ambiance is rustic homestead, service was friendly and helpful, and prices were in line with expectation...

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! My favorites were the Short Rib pasta and the spicy mussels. I've been wanting to visit this place for so long, and I'm so glad we finally made it. The service was fantastic--our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The ambiance was wonderful as well, with the restaurant overlooking a nice little pond. Our table by the window gave us the perfect view. We'll definitely be back!

They told us the wait was 45 minutes and we only waited 15 minutes!! It was lively inside and the service was wonderful, I wish I remembered our servers name but she was amazing and friendly!! The food came out quick and fresh. The drinks were great, you should try the blueberry açaí martini!! It was absolutely delicious and we plan on coming back in the near future!!

Pros- Atmosphere inside the restaurant and on the patio. Food- I especially love their eggplant parmigiana. Service Cons- Personally we have not experienced any and have been here several times.

Stone and Vine has good, not great Italian food. We ordered a few specialty drinks and they were alright. There was lots of ice in the glasses. I ordered a glass of wine and preferred that a lot more. My husband ordered the Brussels Sprouts pizza. We thought the brussels sprouts should have been charred more. There was also a sauce drizzled on top, but it was not enough. I ordered the short rib pasta and really enjoyed it. My parents ordered the chicken vodka pasta and chicken parm. Both were good. We also ordered 2 desserts. The crème brûlée is great here, but the raspberry cheesecake was not very good. I wish the crust was crispier, since it was slightly wet from the cheesecake mixture. We did not realize that was raspberries would be mixed into the cheesecake mixture vs having the raspberries as a sauce. The service was really great. The waitress was very attentive and also had other members of the staff check on us during our dinner. Overall I think this is a nice restaurant with generous HH offerings (it goes until 7pm).

The restaurant was very busy and noisy. The server was friendly but had several tables and we only saw her to take the drink order, food order and bring the bill. The food was very good but the total time in the restaurant from when we were seated to paying the bill was 2 hours.

Food, first time eating here. ordered to go Spaghetti with Meatballs, side Greek Salad with extra Dressing, side bread. Very disappointed noodles were way over cooked. Asked for extra dressing and paid for it. Never received extra Dressing. I even paid 8 tip for to go order and this what I get. Phone number if you want to call me 916-812-3973.

Few of my coworkers and friends have been recommending Stone & Vine for a local Italian spot. I also found Stone & Vine gift card deal at Chandler Costco! $150 for $200 worth of gift cards yay!! So finally we made it to S & V on a Saturday night with reservation. Our server was very sweet, the place is cute and cozy with a nice patio with water view! Perfect for any occasions. We over ordered again of course! Their portions are so generous! I loved the mussels and hubby liked the sausage and pepper for appetizers. For entrees, we got the chicken parm which is always my husband's go to option. The breading was light so it was not super heavy. We also got the Monte Bianco pizza which is like a white pizza with garlic, cheese and basil. The crust was little too soft for our liking, wished it was more crispy! But I enjoyed that it has a lot of garlic and cheese. In my opinion it was a great garlic cheesy bread but not a pizza.

If you know me, then you know I'm a caprese aficionado. Always looking for a great Caprese, which led me to trying this location as one of my besties mentioned this location closer to their house. We stopped in on a busy Saturday night after booking a reservation online same day. They quickly got us seated though arriving early for our reservation, and I was very grateful for that! Loved the front area for the small wait we did have. To start things off, we went with the Caprese which was beautifully plated and one of the better Caprese dishes I've had recently. It's priced at $14 which seemed fairly reasonable for the size of the tomato and mozzarella slices. Also, to kick start the meal I ordered the cranberry pomegranate mule which was refreshing and delicious! Perfect balance of flavors. For my entree, I went with the mushroom risotto which was amazing! It had great flavor and I felt was a good portion size for the price point of $20. Though it did have a random pat of unmelted butter in the corner which was slightly off-putting. Easily could have been oversight by the kitchen. When paying our bill, the pen did explode on my hand and made a big mess. Though washing in the restroom didn't remove fully, and took a couple days to fully dissipate. Not the way I would want to end the evening, and hope the establishment invests in better pens in the future. Though this left a damper on the evening, this was a solid experience and great tasting dishes.

I am obsessed with this place. I got the Rigatoni alla vodka pasta, and it was unreal. All the dishes and the pizzas were so good. The bread knots were delicious. The whole experience and service was amazing. We sat outside and the view was so beautiful

LOVE stone & vine!!! The food is homemade, the drinks are incredible, and the ambiance is amazing! It's chill and not too loud so you can enjoy good conversation. We had fast and friendly service through our visit as well!

Food is amazing!! Fresh homemade pasta is fire! I had the rigatoni with pink sauce and chicken, let me tell you, that was so good! We order the zucchini friti appetizer!! The crunchiness with their homemade marinara sauce, yummy!! My daughter ordered the lasagna and she said, it was amazing!!

Our family's favorite place to eat when we are in Chandler. We are in the area a few times per year and always make a trip to Stone and Vine. The service is always friendly and helpful, plus the food is great.

Really good food, so it was a shame when I was there last Saturday and had a miserable experience. Sat by the back door, after having my kids menu blown off the table, napkins flying all over a few times, all of us getting blasted with hot air every time the door was open, I asked if we could move to one of the other open tables and was told no. Later our table/area got so hot, I have sweat running down my forehead and back, and my wife and kid had to take breaks to get away from (great Mother's Day exp) I asked the people up front if they could turn down the AC, and was going to ask them if they could let the severs know to just limit door open time (one time someone held it open for like 30 seconds so another server could slowly walk thru. All while our napkins are flying off the table again). But before I could, I was interrupted and blown off. So decided this is the last time I give them any $. -tons of bdays, get togethers with family there, etc. not anymore.

As a transplant from the East Coast, I am missing the many good Italian restaurants out here in the Valley. But I think I finally found a new fave in Chandler. The scene: On the patio, relaxing with a view of the water outside on a beautiful fall day, along with the sound of flowing water. Not busy at a late lunch. A slight breeze, overhanging trees and a hint of garlic in the air complete the scene. While I didn't eat indoors, the dark wood decor seemed like it would be cosy to eat in. The service: Everyone was very friendly. My waitress Lori answered my questions, telling me that most of the food, including the pasta, sauces, salad dressings, and most deserts are all made in house. Food came in a very reasonable amount of time and a good cadence. The food: Everything tasted fresh, with nice presentation but without pretense. The brushetta was perfectly grilled without being hard. The flavors on the different selections were good, including smoked salmon, gruyere, and fig jam. The Caesar salad was good, although it could have used a bit more dressing. The special of salmon in a tomato sauce on a cabbage "steak" with mushrooms was creative and very tasty. I saved room for dessert: The tiramisu was perfectly moist and had a good mocha flavor, and must have had sufficient espresso, as my Fitbit showed my heartrate go up. I can definitely see how you can make this a place for a drink and dessert, a light meal, or a larger dinner, depending on the situation. I plan to return!
