Ok, if the damn N64 controllers would turn left on the joystick this would be a 5 star review!! Kidding, kidding, but that would've given my buddy a chance at beating me in something other than time trial on that classic N64 MarioKart joint! Actually, I don't think that would've saved him :D
For real though, finding this place was a win for our visit to Philly! We wanted to walk around & do a ton of touristy stuff, which we did, but we really wanted to know where the top tier cheesesteaks were at! We got to enjoy some NBA Playoffs basketball as well as a local chef who dropped some knowledge on us as far as Gooey Looie's having the meatiest & awesomest cheesesteak in Philly! We ended up coming back for the Monday night wings deal & each put down a dozen wings with a total of 4 different rubs or sauces total! I had the coconut curry & the garlic parmesan wings while my road trip compadre opted for the ghost scorpion rub & Korean Hot sauce wings. I didn't think the ghost scorpion rub was all that hot, or my garlic parm wings all that garlicky. The coconut curry wings had the best flavor in my opinion, but the Korean wings tasted like a bbq hot sauce & that was pretty tasty. Oh, texture, I almost forgot! These wings were perfectly fried & crispy on the outside & moist on the inside! More garlic on your garlic parm wings & a dab of more fire on those ghost scorpion rub wings!
Beer prices were consistent in the neighborhood, but they did offer $3 deals on a couple of bottles they were running out of...so I helped them clear out some inventory! Peroni & Pilsner Urquell were the choices & they also had some draft specials that slip me mind less than 24 hours after embibing there. What are ya gonna do, it happens :)
Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the outdoor area where they have cornhole boards set up & an additional mini bar that looks equivalent in size to a backyard shed, but hey, at least they offer outdoor activities, right!? Yup, I'll be coming back here next trip into Philly!
