Such an amazing experience premiering my film at Stuart Cinema! After extensive research, this venue checked all the boxes, great price point and a cozy space that comfortably fit 50 guests. Highly recommend! Kudos to Andre and the team.

I hosted a birthday celebration here and it was the most amazing experience, and truly exceeded all of my expectations. The entire staff was so kind, accommodating, and welcoming and the space and theatre is absolutely beautiful. I’m so grateful for their graciousness and it really felt like they wanted to have an amazing celebration, and I did! They deserve all the business and the praise and will definitely be back soon. Thank you to the staff that made my night so special. If you are thinking about hosting anything here or coming to see a movie or just to experience great service, PLEASE DO IT!!!! You will not regret it.

I would love to say! We had the best experience at the movie theater! ❤️ My kids were excited to see Sonic 3, and from the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the place. The customer service was outstanding—A1 all the way. As we walked in, we were pleased to discover that the movie started right on time. The theater itself was incredibly spacious, allowing my kids to move around comfortably without feeling cramped. The cozy, intimate atmosphere made it feel like a special outing just for us. I truly believe this has become my favorite movie theater, and I can’t wait to return. It's the perfect spot for making lasting family memories, and I plan to spend my money here from now on!

Absolutely loved my experience at Stuart Cinema! We took a group of students there as a social activity and they made the booking process seamless making sure we had a logo and our popcorn order in before the showing. The staff was super nice and welcoming. Definitely a place I will be checking out again!

I am a filmmaker, and I used Stuart to host a screening of my documentary Film Jitsu, followed by a Q&A panel. The staff was wonderful to work with, from my first email asking about rates and availability to the conclusion of the event. Andre promptly answered my questions over email and went out of his way to help me and my team set up and then wrap up the event. The booking rate was reasonable, especially for New York City, and the venue is perfect for a fun, intimate screening. The projection quality is good as well. From what I could tell, the venue is popular among local cinephiles in Brooklyn. Overall, I highly recommend Stuart as a screening venue, and I am sure it is a fun place to just hang out and watch a movie as well!

Attended a private screening at this lovely theatre. It had all the feeling and amenities of a standard theatre. It was so clean, warm, and intimate. There was also a Q and A with the actors of the film we saw and that was held in front of the screen after the movie. Such a nice evening!

This a wonderful independent Woman owned theater that features the newest movies. It is spacious yet cozy seating up to 50 people at a time. I did a private viewing and the personalized service and small touches were a delight. My daughter and her friends loved it. They serve delicious concessionitems and food and drinks. This is a MUST visit!!!!

Youre not coming here for the multi room cinematic experience with reclining chairs and food deliveries to your seat. You come for the small town vibe, countless food options, and to support small business. I say small town vibe because there's only one room and maybe two bathroom stalls. I haven't been here recently, but the same person who took my order (cupcake & beer) was also the same person who checked tickets and let us into the theatre. They may have been short staffed that day, but he handled it really well- not impatient, explaining and laughing through it all. They also had hot foods like empanadas (ok- real food). The theatre itself was comfortable enough and clean. I felt nice to support local and they honestly offered a lot more variety, efficiency & customer service than a lot of other theatres.

Had a girls night here to see the premiere of "one of them days " with Keke Palmer and SZA it was so good and the theatre was very cute and vintage. I would definitely come here on a date night. They have a variety of cooked foods and snacks. They also sell alcoholic beverages including beer and wine. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and the passion punch... so good. The passion punch is similar to a rum punch but with passion fruit very refreshing and it's frozen. The setting it very intimate. Good for small groups, date nights, ladies night, or even a birthday. The server was friendly and helpful. Very neat clean and organized. I highly recommend.

First of all, I reached out through email to book a last minute birthday party for my son and Andre responded IMMEDIATELY. He answered all of my questions - I had a lot of them. He took extra care to make my son's birthday incredibly special - from the photo on the TV when you walk in. to loading up the video montage before the movie, to offering a table for the cake up front after the movie. Lamont helped in the front with food and drinks and was gracious as can be. I can't thank them enough - it was my son's 30th and he is an entertainment editor for Esquire. He's been to all the theaters! I got the date I needed, I got the film he requested, and the theater was perfect for my Brooklyn crowd. All in less than a week of preparation! The price was less than everywhere that I had called and they cleaned up for me so that I could continue the party at a bar around the corner. I highly recommend this theater for parties and screenings. Best customer experience, hands down.

Omg I fell in love today with this place! Quaint! Intimate! Adorable! Quiet! Attentive! Feels like you are a VIP! Love LOVE LOOOOVEEEEE this place Please make sure you visit atleast once in your life The hopsitality just amazing! Movie theater just adorable, classic ambiance & I felt like a child again going to see a movie for the 1st time! Great food by the way! My empenadas were so good (and it came with my ticket purchase by the way) I went for seconds And free popcorn with the ticket purchase as well!!!! I mean this will be a staple for my movie experience now' Not to mention the decor AMAZING!!!!!!! Love love LOVEEEE

I live just a couple of blocks away and have seen several movies at this theater. While the theater is very small, it has a cozy and intimate feel. The food is great, and they sell excellent Coquito. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Sometimes the food can take a while to prepare, but that's understandable given the size of the theater. They occasionally give out free shots, cookies, and drinks, which is a lovely touch. I will definitely be coming back again. The prices are fair, making it a great local spot.

I love finding new businesses especially Afro-Latinx business. Stuart's cinema has been around since 2018, they have an iconic menu with one room theater, I'm talking coquito, empanadas, sandwiches etc. I saw Creed 3, it was amazing... felt like I was in my living room but with extreme surround sound. 20/10, movie was also great! I learned from one of the employees that they also host small time film makers or you can rent out their theater, that's amazing. Something I especially love is that it's Dominican-American based... De Lo Mio

Cute local theatre! A smaller, blink and you'll miss it place but a neighborhood gem. Saw a movie here and was happy I didnt need to travel far to see it. The theatre is small, which I liked. You can reserve seats. The seats aren't recliners, but I would say a step up from regular auditorium seats. I thought the audio in the theatre could be a bit louder, personally. While I didn't eat, there's an attached cafe and you can order food and eat. Will definitely be coming back to see my next movie!

True local gem. I was having a rough day when I walked in honestly. My boyfriend and I had just argued. In 1 minute, Chef Lamont turned that around 100%. He had us laughing and smiling and having the best time. Made it feel like a 5 star experience with the customer experience that he provided. It almost felt like I was visiting family - that's how warm the welcome felt. If you want to come, even just to grab a snack and relax, this is the spot. Prices and drinks are pretty good too

Today was the first time I'm was at this little gem. Walking in I was skeptical and didn't know what to expect. It is a small movie theater very clean and cute. There was your usual movie food menu such as popcorn, nachos, hotdog, pizza and etc. Then they have different snacks and drinks such as cupcakes with liquor, Klondike bars coquito, little bottles of wine, margaritas and sangria. Lamont was great serving us. He was so nice and hospitable. I had an angus hamburger it was so delicious and I'm not a burger person. Definitely recommend. Ohhhh one of the best part is the time me and my family booked for we whole had the whole theater to ourselves. It was so amazing! Also you rent out the whole theater 2 1/2 hours for $600!! So yes you can have your own movie party there!!! You can decorate and have your picture on the main tv screen when you walk in the food area. They have seating in the food area and in side the theater in the back. I also love the fact it's a black owned theater!!! 2 more are coming up around Brooklyn so congratulations to the owners!!! I love this theater!!!!

This place is a gem! The owner is really sweet and personable. The workers are friendly and welcoming. Every new movie that I'm eager to see, I make it a point to check if it's playing here first. Strong tasty adult drinks. Delicious baked goods. Cozy and personal comfort vibes with VIP treatment. A+

This a cozy intimate space that has a lot to offer. Drè gave us wonderful service and shared that the business is Black owned. They had varied food and alcohol selection. I had an angus burger and fries. The fries were crispy and hot and the burger Was really good to my surprise. The food took a little while to be served but that could be because it was 10 am. Yes, a burger at 10 am and they accommodated my order even though it was from the later menu. I also had the chicken noodle soup which was very hearty. They had Yani cakes which were so good. I tasted the carrot cake which was very moist. The chocolate cake was good. The best for me was the caramel cake, so delicious. Dre also shared that the theater was available for private events and the price was extremely reasonable. He mentioned a special brunch for the the release of the movie Shirley that I will definitely attend. This is an amazing place.

Enjoy the comfort of a movie cinema, cafe and a family oriented establishment that serves great snacks. The events held during the holidays are fantastic, being able to rent the cinema out for movie screens is a plus. Novels, memoirs and children's book are available if you want to enjoy a cup of coffee and a great "read ".

I came to this little cinema for a free screening of the epic documentary "Revolution of Our Times" - it was such an intimate and communal experience that I, among the other audience, was touched and cried. Thank you Stuart Cinema for hosting this screening! And thanks for making such a delicious homemade horchata, which had been embedded as a part of this memory!

Stopped by on our way back from Transmitter Park. Thought we'd just pop in for a lemonade, but ended up talking to Chef Splint for an hour! Truly was a pleasure meeting him, and seeing the joy he shares for this spot and community. Definitely coming back on our next trip to Brooklyn!

Was across the street and walked by this theater. Almost missed it and glad I didn't. Watched Dr Strange at the the 1pm showing. Sat outside before the show and people watched on the quaint bench. I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and the most delicious blue velvet cupcake EVER. Very cheap. It cost 10 dollars for both. Purchased the ticket right before The Show online. The theater size is small. Ticket price is 15 dollars. Seat could be a little more comfortable but I would recommend her for a nice neighborhood feel with dine in option

This cafe is a hidden gem in Greenpoint Brooklyn. My daughter and I came by to see Dr. Strange. The concession attendant was super friendly. The theatre was cozy and had a comfortable feel. Best part was the Latin menu. Yes you've got your traditional popcorn and drink, but you can also get empanadas, tamales, and delicious alcohol infused cupcakes yummy! Prices were super cheap! So we indulged on the chicken empanadas. Combining a nice theatre with an awesome movie, this made for a great time! I will definitely be back!

This is a fantastic location for screening events in the Greenpoint area. It is a block from the water and a perfect view on a sunny day. I was here for a private event to celebrate a friend who was being honored for her credits in writing, producing and directing in film. The CEO of Stuart Cinema & Cafe, Emelyn Stuart, is top-tier, in her involvement in making sure all accommodations and wants of her clientele are met. You could not have asked for a better host. She is there to oversee it all. She is amazing as well as her staff. I highly recommend Stuart Cinema & Cafe for your next event and if you are screening films, even better!

We had a good time. The bathroom is not a port-a-potty, but it was a little walk from.the car in a creepy makeshift space that was kind of large, creepy. Honestly though, other than not enjoying the movie (not their fault) ai seriously enjoyed the experience. The vibe was so cool. For those still not ready to sit closely in a movie theater with others this is a wonderful, nostalgic alternative.

This place is all types of just cute!! Never would've thought this was actually a part mini cinema and part mini cafe! What a nice new addition to the neighborhood! I'm a sucker for homemade baklava and HAD to try it! It's thicker than what I'm actually used to, but this doesn't taste super sugary or artificial. Would've loved maybe some drizzled honey over the top or to come oozing out when I took my first bite. I can't complain. They have various movies playing during the week and on the weekends for family and adults alike! I automatically thought this was a good place to have in the area to keep kids out of trouble and in a fun environment. They have lots of events posted, so be sure to check the billboard outside!

Hey this place is so cool if you want to host a screening with your friends. They have a small theater space which is perfect for small premieres with cast/crew or even for supporters of your Indiegogo campaign. I love their dedication to supporting artists and indie filmmakers. The owner is so incredibly nice and I would highly recommend hosting an event here. My only suggestion is that they have a bigger bathroom and/or multiple bathrooms, but this small one seemed to work for us! It's also in a great location and it's easy to leave out the back if you need to. The chairs are easy to move for whatever you need. The red light emitting from the EXIT sign does change the color of the screen quite a bit, though. Thanks for a wonderful event and good time! :)

What an AMAZING experience my boyfriend and I had here on Valentine's Day. I booked the theater for a surprise for my boyfriend, and Stuart Cinema went above and beyond. Red and white wine, chocolate, snacks, fresh baked cookies, popcorn, beer, the list is endless! They even projected a photo while we waited for our movie to start, and played a playlist of my boyfriends favorite band. AND complimentary photos! So cute!! We got a gift bag at the end with hand sanitizer and more chocolates. This was truly an amazing experience with wonderful hosts that we will never forget! Side note it was very clean and everyone wore masks, no covid scaries here!

Was free on a Wednesday and saw this cute lil place was playing Spiderman(!!) and decided to wait for the next showing. Ordered a mocha and popcorn from the cafe for less than movie theater price and the mocha was suprisingly not bad at all. Theater was also a decent size and sound was great, def made my night:)

I rented this theater for a screening event back in August, and I was very delighted with the professionalism of the staff, quality of equipment, and just the overall intimiate vibe of this little theater tucked away in a really beautiful strip in Greenpoint! I highly recommend renting this place, and even having a chill movie night here as well!

The best movie theater in Brooklyn. This is a real 'art house' and we enjoyed watching 'The Farewell' there. We'll be back, for sure. And thanks for the wine and popcorn!

A nice place to go has movies. Last time I went there was a little late but it didn't look like they had mulch options they had mochi ice cream that's a good thing for free but obviously that's not every day service and I would possibly give it four but just below

We had an excellent experience today while at a movie showing. I've rediscovered the joys of independent movie theatres thanks to Carl - intimate, cozy, comfortable, thoughtful. As a host, Carl was so friendly, generous, and hospitable. We need more people like you in the city, Carl! Deeply focused on customer service and community. And clearly cares very deeply and acts from the heart. Go see a movie at Stuart Cinema! Or hold your event there! You won't be disappointed. We WILL be coming back. Thank you again, Carl!

What a gem. This cafe has a little theater in the back and a small indoor seating area up front. I had a delicious cup of coffee and a spinach empanada as a treat. All the food including empanadas and desserts are made in-house, and the folks who run the place were really sweet and made me feel welcomed. There were no other customers when I went so I enjoyed my coffee and snack sitting in the theater watching trailers that were running. It was just the pick-me-up that I needed on a rainy day. Will absolutely be back if I'm ever in greenpoint.

Stuart Cinema is an absolute gem of a theater space. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and truly supportive of local arts. The image and sound quality of their projection system is phenomenal and cinematic. The rental rates are affordable and you get a massive bang for your buck. I would absolutely recommend Stuart Cinema for anyone looking for a fun night at the movies.

I was planning a wedding anniversary surprise for my husband and had contacted a few other movie theaters in brooklyn for quotes for a private screening. Thankfully I found Stuart Cinema whose rates were so reasonable and they provided the personal touch that I wouldnt have gotten elsewhere. They were accommodating and even put up personalized movie posters for us, and made the whole experience wonderful. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants a unique experience with people who really care about you having a good time!

Quite frankly the cutest theater/cafe ever and the owner is wonderful with an inspiring story on top of that! I visited about a week ago with my 12 and 15 year old to watch The Green Book after finding their Groupon deal. The look of the cafe when you walk in is very inviting. You notice the fresh food options to the left and tables with checkerboards set up to the right. My sons took advantage and played a game after the movie. The prices are fantastic compared to the larger cinemas! Pair that with the fact that you're made to feel like you're a VIP coming in for a private screening (which they also do by the way) made it not only my, but my teen sons', new favorite place to watch a movie! You know it's good if a teenager is impressed haha! Do yourself a favor and pick this spot for your next movie night, private screening, or place to play video games on a big screen (yup they do that too)!
