It is my fault for coming to a German restaurant and ordering a burger. I was looking for a burger, and there really wasn't a lot open mid day during the week. At least not the day I was here. Student Prince was near my hotel and the reviews were good. Didn't find much about the burger, but they had two on their lunch menu, so thought it would be a good option. I ordered their Haus Cheeseburger sans the garlic aioli and asked for mustard instead. I also went with the tots instead of fries.
It came out and looked very impressive. The tots were great. In my opinion, tots are hard to beat. The burger was disappointing. It had caramelized onion on it, that were completely unseasoned, the burger patty was greatly under seasoned, the bacon was sparse and SO thin that it added absolutely nothing to the overall sandwich. I ordered the burger medium and though it was technically correct, it was over cooked on one side and under on the other. The cheddar cheese was placed on the undercooked side and wouldn't melt. Luckily I could pull it away and add some salt to the meat to give it a little something.
The service was really friendly and they had tables set up outside which was nice. The weather was perfect to enjoy the outdoors and it was really dark inside. I have coworkers who love this place...but they go on about the German food. So, don't be like me and order the burger.
