Went in a couple weeks ago following Thanksgiving for lunch, ate at the bar with a friend.
The restaurant was on a limited menu for Christmas (this wasn't explained to us, but that's OK) but was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Definitely worth going to for that reason.
We both had the same thing right off of the menu, two orders of Jager schnitzel, potato pancakes, and a couple beers. The food was great, no complaints there, and it came out pretty quickly. We didn't ask for too much, and were not demanding.
My only issue was with service. Our bartender was a 30s male, tattoos, hipster-y. There was an older couple at the corner of the bar that had the majority of his attention. Besides complaining about earlier business (he said he had to make too many specialty drinks), he made it clear to the bar that these two on the corner were regulars, and they were worthy of extras, such as a double serving of their chauvinette (ice cream liquor drink). When we ordered one to split he made it clear that ours would not look like theirs because they are "regulars". Didn't say goodbye or thank you to us, just ran the check and that was it.
That's fine that you give your regulars a bit extra service but don't make this known to everyone else at the bar. We left feeling a bit deflated and underwhelmed.
