Stumptown Coffee Moves Its West End Cafe Into the New 11W Building - Eater Portland

"Third-wave Portland roaster Stumptown Coffee is set to open its new cafe at the 11W Building on Southwest 11th Avenue and Southwest Washington Street. The new West End location replaces Stumptown’s former Ace Hotel cafe. In addition to its regular lineup of coffee beverages, the 11W cafe will feature rotating seasonal and signature beverages such as spring’s Rose Gold Honey Cortado. Pastries, bagels, and sandwiches will come from purveyors such as Sparrow Bakery, Spielman Bagels, and Shoofly Vegan Bakery. The space’s 'Japandi' design was conceived in collaboration with Studio Butch." - Janey Wong

"It’s hard to imagine now that their coffee is in every cute coffee shop from San Francisco to Charleston, but there was a time when you could only get Stumptown in Portland. Their cheeky shops are still the best for local roasts, and Tasting Bar at their HQ makes a fun (and energizing) outing for coffee snobs. There are locations in every major neighborhood: Downtown, Sunnyside, Old Town Chinatown, and Richmond. "

First time coming to this coffee shop! It was cute and aesthetically pleasing. The taste of the coffee was great and the customer service was on point! Loving the Coraline theme to the coffees.

Definitely a trendy coffee shop, there was a long-ish line when I visited. The cold brew I received was strong and tasty, can't really ask for more but it didn't blow me away.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters is a nationally renowned coffee roaster for a reason. Their coffee is reliable, consistent, and smooth with flavor. I really enjoy this new location, with the indoor decor being wood forward which makes it very cozy! The outside seating as well is great, makes a nice spot to enjoy the weather and watch the streetcar go by. I highly recommend a stop here for all your coffee needs!

I love visiting the PNW and having my Stumptown coffee. This place is the best. The pastry is amazing. I especially love the pistachio croissants. The caramel latte with oat milk is my default drink and it was delicious. It’s a great location with fast and friendly service. So glad I can now have Stumptown at home until I can visit again.

Had to check out Stumptown since they’re the OG that got famous in PDX. Nitro cold brew was creamy and excellent. Vegan breakfast sandwich was perfect for was it was (meaty veggie patty with fresh arugula on like an English muffin). They were having issues with the oven so they kindly gave me a punchcard for a free coffee. Very friendly staff who looked like they were making beautiful and delicious lattes. The design for this place is sleek and new, the equipment all looked first class and top of line. Maybe this is the shop layout model for future Stumptown expansions?

Nice coffee shop! It's located in the downtown, as part of the Ace Hotel. You can easily walk to Powell's and other popular spots. The lounge area in the Ace Hotel is a real treat, comfy couches and with an old-school photo booth for some fun memories. While the coffee and drinks are a bit on the pricey side, they're tasty. Latte, Salted Maple Latte and Chai Latte were nice, happy to tried! Interesting restroom design!

Good coffee, not great as other coffee that I have had in the area. Service was ok, can be a bit slow sometimes. I went few times and the atmosphere isn’t great, last time the music was way too loud for me. The place had more of a clubbing vibe that a cafe where you want to go and do some work, catch-up with a friends or reading a book. All that was impossible here😅 I think you can hear how loud the music was in the videos that I’ve posted.

My coffee was really good. I got a mocha 16 ounces about 7 dollars. if you don’t mind that price point it’s a pretty good place to get coffee and atmosphere is nice.
