"The town of Catskill (not to be confused with the region, The Catskills) is going through a population boom as people fall in love with the shops on Main Street and views of the Hudson River. Subversive Malting and Brewing, which sits just a few blocks away from Main Street across the Catskill Creek, is a tiny brew pub cranking out some amazing small-batch beers using all New York ingredients. The Rust American brown ale is a throwback with a malty start and chocolatey, caramel finish, and we love the Tiny Glasses kolsch and the New York Nectar IPA on a hot summer day. The chicken sandwich is also killer, thanks in part to local bakery See + Be Kitchen’s fantastic milk buns." - keith hernandez
