"Located on the edge of the Brookwood Hills neighborhood and next door to R. Thomas’ Grill, Sufi’s Kitchen serves traditional Persian cuisine with a bit of a gourmet twist. The Sufi’s special takes a spicy approach to its sautéed eggplant. The salmon kebab may sound odd, but totally triumphs." - Sarra Sedghi

Overall the food was good! The hummus was yummy, the chicken barg was tasty but a bit dry, and the beef kabob was excellent. The server was nice, but in a bit of a passive-aggressive way. Before we got a chance to sit down, she immediately asked, “What do you want to drink?” which is nice & good service but everything felt super rushed before we even got a chance to take a look at the menu and the options. She asked, “Do you want appetizers?” and when we said one word, she just walked away. It wasn’t like we were telling her our life story, but everything felt hurried. Still, we enjoyed the outdoor seating and had a nice time!

I had both bargs for lunch, the beef was good it tasted a little bit like pomegranate paste it was tasty but the chicken was very bland it tasted like nothing. But the next day I got home sabzi through Uber Eats, which was great. I was craving ghorme sabzi for a while. Service was good, the atmosphere was good, overall the good was very delicious but the restaurant was empty, with no customers.

Google
Good restaurant with small sitting arrangement inside. Ambience is ok. Waiters are good but we felt they donot have much to offer and seemed like in hurry. Food : the restaurant has limited options to try. Their eggplant masala is good. Hummus was awesome and pita bread they make it fresh in the restaurant which tasted good with Hummus. The chicken dish was tasty and comes with sweet rice which is enough for two people. This restaurant has parking option which is added benefit in crowded road. Overall it is good restaurant to try once.

I used to go and eat in Sufi restaurant for years. the quality of food was good. I recommended it to all my friends. Especially when I wanted to introduce Persian food to my American friends. It was until tonight…. I ordered a Soltani online tonight, The worst food that I ever had. I don’t know why the quality went down. The meat was not cooked enough. I couldn’t even eat it. I put it in trash. It was really disappointing.

we were on our way to the airport and wanted an early dinner - something light so decided to stop by Sufis for appetizers. It’s my first time at this restaurant as we generally go to another Persian restaurant in the city. The place is small but we were seated right away and the service was quick and good. We ordered the appetizer sampler in which we could choose 3 appetizers so we choose the eggplant and salad shirazi; we ordered the yogurt as another side; and then a side of rice. the appetizers came with fresh bread and complimentary mint, parsley and feta cheese was given the eggplant and salad shirazi were good as was the rice; the bread was alright and tasted more frozen rather the fresh. the rice was also good and the portion size was decent for appetizers and side overall a good food experience here. was it good enough to take me away from my other place, no, but it’ was decent enough

Google
Sufi's was an incredible meal. Some of the juiciest Kabobs I've had. Ordered the platter which included a variety of kabobs and rice. In the photo is Barg Kabob, Chicken Soltani, and raisin rice. Staff was attentive and friendly as well. Beautiful ambiance perfect for a night to celebrate. Be aware as they do charge for tzatziki sauce & condiments. Food was overall super delicious and will be back to try other items on the menu.

Google
They offer a nice selection of food and wine. Both my lamb and my husband’s beef koobideh were undercooked, but the seasoning was tasty. My Adas Polo rice was delicious and there was a mountain of it. Our server brought us the wrong wine, and I had to request a knife to cut my lamb, but otherwise the service was good. We ate here regularly when we lived in Atlanta, so we had to visit! Great Persian food that I highly recommend.

Google
Never disappointed! Best Persian food I ever had is at this little cozy restaurant in Atlanta. We made our reservation online so we didn’t had to wait on weekend night for our table. The ambiance and outdoor seating of this place is pretty nice and cozy. The staff is very friendly and our server was just outstanding for the night. We ordered Sufi special eggplant appetizer which came with bread and I must say that it was mouthwateringly delicious. Our entree’s were salmon kabab and lamb kabab and they both were delicious too. The food was hot and tasty. I’ll go back to try some other dishes from their menu.

Yelp
Great service and food. I had the lamb koobideh kabob and it was made in a timely fashion and tasted great. Excellent flavor and nicely balanced amount of salt. The peta bread was soft, freshly made and doughy, complimented with a healthy serving of humus with olives, feta cheese, cilantro and basil on the side. The knife for cutting meats was sufficiently sharp. I tried the ice cream. It was not my favored flavor and is an acquired taste. The more I ate, I got acquainted with it. It is a complex flavor of ice cream that is worth trying at least once. Overall, great experience.

Yelp
delicious! so yummy! Just don't come here expecting a Delbar experience. the food is comparable, but the atmosphere is much more low key even though it is still decorated nicely. but not like an instagram birthday spot. We got the salad shirazi, hummus, and ground lamb kabobs with saffron rice and a side of the yogurt (basically labneh but I forget what they called it). All delicious! I appreciated the gracious pour on my Riesling :-) Service was great, our server was super nice and answered our questions. I'd come back for sure!

Yelp
OK, very pleasantly surprised. Came to ATL for the first time and did not expect some bomb Persian food. They did the Zereshk perfectly! It's usually a hit or miss at most places, but this was solid. Also, definitely 100% recommend both the jujeh chicken and koobideh. These are very foundational Persian dishes and unfortunately aren't always done right- BUTTT they were fantastic here. The meats were the perfect texture, taste, temperature. As for service, servers were really pleasant and helpful with reccs---no issues there. Lastly, the place had ample seating and parking so I was all for it. It's a great spot to host dinner with a big group of friends/family. Overall, would definitely re-visit when I'm back in town.

Yelp
Don't know what the fudge is wrong with that manager lady. She suck! You don't hang up on your customers, period. As someone has been consistently supporting their business with large orders, really don't feel appreciated by this place. Learn to work on your attitude if you wanna run a successful business, learn to appreciate your customers. Thanks!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
First time trying Persian food and I loved that I was recommended to try this place. Different flavors from what I usually eat but it was delicious! I'll make sure to stop by again whenever I'm back in ATL. Service was friendly and inviting. Large parking lot behind the restaurant which was a huge plus! Parking in ATL can be do difficult.

Yelp
Late Monday night dinner, party of five -- needed a place with Halal options on the menu, and Sufi's fits the bill. Had a variety of appetizers (dolma stood out as being quite tasty -- love the meat variety featured here, lovely sweet flavor), lamb dishes and kabobs. Everything was superb, excellently flavored and cooked. Appreciated too the great service and also the ability to sit down and hold a conversation; we'll definitely return! Bonus, we get to see the R. Thomas birds on the drive away!

Latasha R.

Yelp
I was very satisfied. We ordered the lemon chicken soup for appetizer and it was delicious and flavorful. I literally could have had that soup as my entree. I ordered the shrimp kabobs and they were grilled to perfection. The char was perfect. My husband initially ordered the stew and was not to our liking. Thankfully the restaurant us to choose a different dish. This time it was the filet mignon kabobs and they were great. Tender and juicy. The saffron rice was okay, nothing major. Next time I'll probably pay the extra to try a different rice. The pita bread was okay, a bit dry but went well with the soup. It was my husbands birthday and they provided us with a complimentary ice cream which was appreciated. I definitely enjoyed the meal and will be back to order those shrimp kabobs and soup! Recommend you try them for sure.

Yelp
Suuufiiiis! What a delight. We came on a Friday at 7pm and the place was not packed but had a nice energy. We were seated immediately. There is a both patio and indoor seating. For apps- We were so in love with the dolmeh which was made with tart pomegranate malasses, spices, and served alongside a yogurt sauce. Our hummus was great, too. They brought out a plate of herbs- basil, mint, and cilantro to use how we please with our meal and I ate all of it with the apps! For mains I had the salmon kebab- HUGE amount of salmon! It's like an entire filet+. The dill rice is perfect with it. My husband had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly. We also had a doogh yogurt soda which I 10/10 recommend if you want the whole experience. To finish, baklava and Persian ice cream. If you're gonna get dessert- definitely get the Persian ice cream. Omg. It's saffron and rose flavored with pistachio. Our server was excellent. Will be back.

Yelp
Sufi's was a pretty good formal Middle Eastern spot in Buckhead. There's a massive lot in the back, making parking super easy. We were there at around 6:30 on Monday and were the first table to sit down. We got a roasted eggplant app to start with and then I had the lamb chops. I also tried the steak kebab and all three of the dishes were really good. I also wasn't expecting to like the raisin in the rice, but the rice was good too. Overall, Sufi's would be my choice for a formal Middle Eastern restaurant in Atlanta, but I do like the ambiance of other places like Delbar and Rumi's a bit better.

Nikki N.

Yelp
We've been looking for a Persian restaurant near us that was not as pricy as Rumi's (my all time favorite) that we could enjoy more regularly for lunch or dinner. I ordered the chicken kabob with the Lima beans and dill basmati rice ($3 up charge) and my boyfriend ordered the lamb kabob with saffron basmati rice. Decent wine and bourbon options (we did not partake at lunch). Definitely want to go back to enjoy dinner here. Follow their IG @sufisatlanta so you know when they have a live musician playing (which we love). Kristi is the manager and she was great!

Sandy J.

Yelp
Came here for dinner- doesn't get busy until after 7:30 p.m.. Delicious food, incredibly fluffy rice, good service always filling your pita bread and waters, good parking right behind (HUGE lot), tucked next to a burrito and breakfast joints (each with their own funky personality). Good flavors and would highly recommend coming back here again. Ordered the appetizer trio. hummus was smooth with a bright zesty flavor. Also got the Sufi's special which was an eggplant tomato based gravy that paired beautifully with the humus on pita bread. The falafel was also great- I'm usually not a falafel person bc I find them to be too oily or too chick pea heavy but this one had a beautiful bright green filling. The pita bread is extremely addicting. Be careful not to overeat before you get to the main courses. I ordered the Ghemeh Bademjoon which Chunks of lean beef cooked in tomato sauce, split peas, sautéed eggplant, onions and served with saffron basmati rice. A beautiful dish that was reminiscent of Moroccan spices for me. not too strong, soothing and warm with the fluffiest rice possible. Others in my family ordered the lamb shank which fell off the bone and was delicious. There were a bunch of different kinds of chicken kabobs and what differentiated them all was the type of textures (cube, ground, all in one stick, etc). Good service and clean area- seemed to be a hit with other Persian folks. Would come back here again.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Had a great Christmas party here on their patio area. The food was great. We had the hummus and all different heavy appetizers of vegetables, beef, chicken, lamb and salmon. They were all delicious, but the Salmon really stood out for me. Great flavors, and great service. Our party was well taken care of, and really enjoyed the time here. Can't wait to come back and try out some new items on my next visit.

Aron S.

Yelp
I mostly use Uber eats for Sufi's. The food is delicious. The portions are generous. Combine these with Uber Eats occasional 40% discount, and you have an amazing deal for great food. I recommend the Gorneh Sabzi stew and the kubideh shish kabob skewers.

Lisal F.

Yelp
Sufi's was my first Persian restaurant experience. Not knowing what to expect, we relied on recommendations from our server who suggested a variety of appetizers, and steered us toward entrees she thought were particularly delicious. -Combination appetizer platter: we chose mast mousier (yogurt with shallots), hummus (SO MUCH YES), and mirza ghasemi (my personal favorite - smoked, roasted eggplant with tomatoes and garlic). -Khorosht bademjoon: sautéed eggplant with tomatoes, garlic, and onions, served in a silver dish next to rice. It comes with saffron rice, but I opted to upgrade to the shirin polo (basmati rice with pistachio, carrots, sweet dried orange peel, raisins, and almonds). This dish was hands down the most interesting thing I've eaten in quite some time. The flavors were so complex and melded so perfectly - truly a culinary masterpiece. The pricing is more than I typically prefer to pay ($20 for the appetizer platter, $19 for entree), but with inflation and location, not exorbitant, and worth it for a special occasion. The outdoor seating area is also quite lovely on a warm Atlanta evening.

Kristin W.

Yelp
We had a small wedding reception for our son and his wife on SufI's patio. They were so accommodating, and the food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful! All of our guests enjoyed themselves and commented about how good the food was. Highly recommend.

Azadeh S.

Yelp
Great food. Cozy atmosphere. Attentive and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Ask them for a bowl of the haleem. And don't miss out on the baghlava cheesecake for dessert! You will not be disappointed!

Rene B.

Yelp
Happy this place is open late on Sunday! That deserves a star! Grapefruit martini-ok Eggplant with tomato and garlic appetizer - not as good as I remembered. Rack of lamb- amazing!!!! SeabAss kabob- special - good but needed sauce

Gerard I.

Yelp
The Persian food haven I was told sits on peachtree road with an abundance of parking and a quaint exterior that hides the old timey charm inside. The service is 10/10, the staff is efficient, the water is never less than 50%, and they want to make sure that there are no problems. We ordered hummus as an appetizer and while no connoisseur I've had my fair share. This one was solid, I will say I expected a bit more of an explosion of flavor. I've tried home made versions better though this beat any kind you will get at the store. I'd say could be overly garlic for some people. Then the food itself I don't think you can go wrong with any meat, though I don't think they quite fused the flavors of the salmon dish very well into a Persian version. The lamb rack though was absolutely phenomenal, the lamb was cooked to perfection and oh so flavorful. I would highly recommend. Writing about it is making my mouth water. The rice accompaniment was simple though a bit dry and while I can't say I've had very many of these it was simply lacking something that I can't put my finger on. Overall great place to try and experience, lamb rack is 10/10 please do yourself a favor and treat yourself :).

Belinda W.

Yelp
I have been going here for a decade now and chose them to cater for my graduation dinner. But when my graduation venue fell through this month, GM Cristy Buice came to my rescue. Ms. Buice and her staff were wonderful for my graduation dinner of twenty-five people. The enclosed patio was heated and spacious, with clean restrooms and the most important thing of all excellent food and drinks. Please support this establishment for dinner or your next event.

Mohamed H.

Yelp
Amazing fresh food. I ordered through Uber Eats. It was well worth the wait as I was staying near the airport. I tried the sultani. Meat was fresh and tender. Rice was cooked just right. I added grilled onions which made it even better. The pomegranate cheesecake is out of this world. OMG best piece of cake I had hands down! Definitely will get food from there when back in town!

Mais S.

Yelp
A lot of food. We got the hummus too, I thought it was tastey. Good flavour overall and great restaurant and service

J R.

Yelp
We came across this place by a whim and no regrets! We were originally going to another place happened to call the and no warm and fuzzies. We said, let's not go there. We went on Yelp! And we found this little gem. Now, that you have a back story let me get into to the review. Pulled in to the parking lot and parking was ample. This is high points already and we hadn't walked in yet. We headed inside and the host was very pleasant and sat us down right away. High points for customer service! Our server for the evening was Selena (apologies if I spelled wrong) - she was great. She answered all our questions and was extremely pleasant. High points for Selena. On to the food! We started with the Cimarron tea and it was delicious. Didn't need sugar. We ordered the original hummus to start. DELICIOUS!!! We ordered multiple plates (I remembered the pictures.), from the chicken, to salmon and sir loin. All great hits! Would we come here again? Yes! Am I glad I found this place? Heck yeah! What was the highlight? The entire experience.

R A.

Yelp
Ordered delivery through door dash and the food was delicious! I ordered Chicken Barg, a salad, and the feta dip appetizer. I did not like the dip, but the rest of it was A+!

Wendy B.

Yelp
Always love coming to Sufi , the food is excellent, which I enjoy because each meal is freshly made daily, staff make you feel like you are home. The hummus is great I enjoy the iceice cream, and for lunch lamb wrap, delicious food at a reasonable price, I don't mind traveling 54 miles just to enjoy a great meal at a great restaurant time fabulous staff.Thank you..

Ardalan Z.

Yelp
food was good and well flavored. the vibes and ambience was real chill. farzaneh the server was great and patient. would come back

Olga S.

Yelp
Pretty plain design of the interior, definitely more family style than fancy, good food, large portions, nice appetizer selection. The service was excellent.

Steven P.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time tonight. The food was really yummy. I had kabobs, Lamb and chicken and it was delicious. I also highly recommend saving room for desert, the rose water & pistachio ice cream was amazing!

You M.

Yelp
We love Persian food and Sufi's is a good example in a laid back atmosphere. We're pretty picky about our Persian food as we've had so much homemade by friends from Iran. We enjoy most of the Persian restaurants around the metro area. They go too overboard on the amount of orange peel they add to one of their rice dishes. But the rice itself is excellent and perfectly prepared fragrant basmati. Most of the menu is fairly standard and prepared with care and with appropriate seasonings and quality.

Bhasi B.

Yelp
Food is good. But the service is pathetic. The waitress appeared to not care about the customers. After we finished, asked her for "to go" box but she kept ignoring. We can see her walking around or gossiping. Finally we had to ask another waiter to give us the box and the bill. This is my last visit to this place.

Laketa A.

Yelp
The woman manager and front staff were extremely rude I would not recommend this place to anyone. When I came in she was yelling at her employees in front of everyone about not cutting on the heat. She was using curse words that I didn't feel like customers should hear. Very bad vibe

Donna G.

Yelp
Never will I enter this restaurant again! First, off the back we get a dirty plate (I should have left). Next, I ask for a glass of wine ( taste like water). They bring out appetizers . And then they bring out the entrees it looked weird. I ordered the sea bass and my husband ordered the salmon. I then taste my sea bass and immediately spit it out as it was SOUR... I will never cheat on my favorite Persian Restaurant RUMI'S again!!! I'm giving it a one star because you have to rate something and the weather was nice to sit outside at least..

Iris E.

Yelp
Delicious food. Order the Barg Kabobs and the Lamb Koobideh. Great food and great service!

Cristy B.

Yelp
Amazing service, appetizers and kabobs. Atmosphere is cozy. Lunch specials and live music is great.

Mo P.

Yelp
The 2 eggplant appetizers with the fresh bread were delicious and the grape leaves were stuffed with meat and grilled to perfection. The grilled meats that came out on a large platter was heaven on a table. We ordered chicken, beef and lamb kebabs and all were worth trying. We had 3 different rice dishes and my favorite was the one with caramelized onions. Drinks took long to make but I enjoyed my old fashion when it arrived. The hot sauce tasted like chili garlic sauce out of a bottle and I would recommend skipping. I would also for hot bread and not settle for bread that's been sitting for a while.

Jordan W.

Yelp
Sufi's is a nice option for Persian in Atlanta, and a good alternative to typical Middle Eastern or Mediterranean takeout. We ordered delivery, and settled on the combination platter, complete with hummus, kashk bademjan eggplant dip, and fresh shirazi salad. We paired that with a green salad for her and khorosht bademjoon, a deeply spiced eggplant stew served with rice, for me. I sprung for the extra sabzi, or traditional accompaniment of herbs, nuts, and cheese, which really rounded out the meal. It all came with heaps of bread, making for a true feast.

Senthilkumar J.

Yelp
Food was great .. I ordered chicken Soltani kebab n falafels along with pomegranate juice .. chicken was cooked perfectly with the right blend of spices ... finished with the Baklava.. overall I would recommend this place for an authentic Persian fare !

Paulina A.

Yelp
Sufi's is an elegant Persian restaurant in Atlanta. Parking is in the back and has a very steep slope driving down. It is kind of hidden which made it difficult to find but once inside it has a beautiful ambiance with warm woods and lovely tile work on display. My mom and I came in for an impromptu lunch. She had the Ghormeh Zabzi and I had the Koobideh kebab and both dishes were really rich in flavor and delicious. I enjoyed the food and would definitely return.

Huma H.

Yelp
Located in a cute street in Atlanta, Sufi's looks inviting from the outside - bright lights, cute furniture and a man playing some sort of Persian instrument in the front. But from a further glance, one finds slow service and a poorly insulated extension where you might go to die from the cold in the winter. My husband and I sat for half an hour before I flagged down a server to take down our order, and then waited another 45 minutes to actually get anything on the table. While the food is decent, the person who wants to eat in a reasonable time frame should look elsewhere.

Farzana Z.

Yelp
Try amazing Persian food at Sufi's y'all! I loved it more on my second visit because I knew what to order. Their Koobidehs (meat skewers) actually melt like butter in your mouth. We ordered the chicken and beef Soltani kabob platters, beef, chicken and lamb Koobideh platters, Sufi's special eggplant and the best of all, their rack of lamb. We also ended up trying their bakhlava which wasn't my favorite because I prefer my dessert a bit warm and the bakhlava was cold and hard. I liked that they serve the complimentary naan (really soft and flavorful) a few times if you dine in there. The servers are extremely nice and friendly The average price for their entrees would be around $20. I know it is a bit expensive from other Persian restaurants but it really is worth it.

Maria R.

Yelp
Great outdoor seating area available! The service was great and the portions were large. We loved it!

Jordan P.

Yelp
I ordered this restaurant through Uber Eats and I will likely never order or eat here again. I was missing rice from my kebab order, the salmon was so dry it was almost inedible, there were no olives, walnuts, or radishes in the Sabzi and all of the basil has browned. The only positive is that the order of extra bread is enough to feed a family of five.

N. N.

Yelp
Ghorme sabzi was burned, they just ass water to it, chicken was so dry kobideh wasnt cooked well inside still red out side burn, too much spices, kashk bademjan was burn too Rice was too dry None of the food we ordered taste good as a persian I never recommend this restaurant

Austin P.

Yelp
I found this Persian restaurant on this mobile phone app called "Seated" and decided to come here for dinner. The restaurant is very cozy with both indoor and outdoor seating. I opted for the indoor seating because it had a quiet vibe compared to the outdoors which was located right next to the bustling street. I ordered the Shish Kabob ($25) and enjoyed it very much. The meat and vegetables were seasoned very well. The saffron basmati rice that came with the meal also had a light flavor and nice texture to it. The meal also came with a complimentary appetizer called Sabzi Khordan which is essentially flatbread, feta cheese, walnuts, mint, parsley, cilantro, basil, and other various herbs. Now for the review. Overall, the food and service was spot on. However, I would say that the portion size for the price point is slightly high. My meal of $25 only came with rice and one kabob. If you have a small to medium appetite, I would recommend this restaurant because the food portions will definitely fill you up. However, for those of you out there that are big eaters like me, I would recommend Rumi's Kitchen, another amazing Persian restaurant, but has larger portions for each dish.

Kevin P.

Yelp
we got a family dinner at there. This is a great place for lunch and dinners. Their kebabs cooked perfectly and rice kinds are very delicious. The service is not slow. I did not like their baklava because it is not fresh, is dried but all others are great. I recommend this place for an delicious Persian food experience

Sina G.

Yelp
It's been a while since I last ate at Sufi's in Atlanta but on this visit to the city, we decided to order delivery since my girlfriend craved for Fesenjoon (walnut Pomegranate stew) and I did for Kabob. Quality of the food seems to not have improved since my last experience! Chicken Shish Kabob: it was yummy, fresh, well marinated and grilled. BUT, Fesenjoon: the stew was not freshly made with burnt chunks of walnut in the sauce. Seemed like they did this batch a while back and just re-heated it upon customer orders. Very disappointing as the whole bowl went directly to trash. (Please take your stews off the menu if you cannot prep them fresh) Chenjeh Kabob: Not fresh either. Either the meat was sitting there for sometime or the marination tuned the whole thing a bit sour. (tasted like meat going bad) Shirin polo: not flavorful and a bit blant, overcook basmati rice This was a good experience in that we remembered why we shouldn't have ordered here in the first place! Try other Persian food in Atlanta as you can definitely find better ones in that neighborhood.

Steven S.

Yelp
Incredible takeout lunch during COVID part 2! Because this place is on the pricier side, I decided to try it for lunch since it's a little cheaper and makes for a good test run before dining in. I got the Shish Kebab (filet mignon) and it was so so good. The meat and vegetables were both perfectly grilled and had tremendous flavor. The rice was also a great complement and boy was there a lot of it. Verdict: this place is a hidden gem! Well, technically it's on Peachtree St. so yes it's on the most popular road in Atlanta BUT it's very unassuming so you could easily pass it without knowing. I hope to dine in soon as the inside is nice and would make for a great date night...or just a great night sans date!

Jill M.

Yelp
Out of service Elena was amazing! She took care of our crazy large group with ease. The food was delicious. I have passed by so many times but I've never stopped in for Mia. I will be back in next time bring my beau! My steak was cooked to my specifications! It was tender and flavorful and delicious!

Cyerra H.

Yelp
The food was really good and cheaper than Rumi's kitchen. Only thing is the cleanliness could be a lot better, it definitely hurts the appetite.
