Sugarcane Cafe, Bath UK I heard about this lovely place ages ago. It’s such a cute little cafe, run by really lovely people. I visited mainly for their Original Matcha Latte. The latte was delicious with the cute snowman, and the matcha cake was super yummy. They were quite busy when I arrived, but the service was still quick and efficient. The staff were warm, friendly, and really knowledgeable. They also offer preorder birthday cakes starting from £42. I’ve heard they’re excellent. I will be back for the chiffon cake next, which is only available on weekends. Definitely worth a visit!

I’ve been a fan of sugarcane since I first discovered this gem in Bath earlier this year (chocolate and raspberry tart is 10/10). A month ago I approached Fang to create a bespoke order for my Dad’s book launch. His book cover was colourful and I thought macarons to match would look amazing as a marketing edible. Fang and the team made the most incredible macarons in a pina colada flavour and they were a huge hit during the evening. All guests were so excited and so was the man of the hour. Thank you so much for adding such a special touch to a special event.

What a hidden gem. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. We just had a long lunch and only brought some takeaways. They are not cheap but worth it. The cake is amazing. Next time will have drink and cake in the shop.

To be honest, the cake didn’t impressed me in any way. The whipped cream flowers look very beautiful, but they may only attract whipped cream lovers; in fact, I feel that it would taste better if I picked them out. The jelly-like appearance of the top layer of the cake does not match the other layers. The taste is not harmonious. In my humble opinion, the cake is more for viewing than for eating. My friend had some feeling as well. Maybe we rushed in 20 minutes before the closing time that day, but the staff didn’t look to be in a nice mood that day. Despite of this experience, I hope I didn’t lost interest in similar independent shops. I might say that the dining experience and predictable expectations of chain dessert shops in the future would make people like me less likely to lose interest in desserts.

Fang and her team are brilliant! We have been enjoying their delicious creations for years both at the cafe and having commissioned celebration cakes for birthdays and family get togethers! The most recent cake we ordered - a unicorn cake for our daughter’s birthday party surpassed all expectations! Can’t wait for the next one!! 10/10!!!

A beautifully presented patisserie and the highlight of our trip🥰.The food is outstanding, with a great selection of cakes, and the Matcha Latte is Top! The space is spotless and well-organized, and the staff are warm and attentive.. A true gem💎five stars from me!

Tucked away in the corner off Argyle Street, you can find the cozy Sugarcane Studio cafe. Serving pastries & drinks, the ambiance was very inviting. Ordered an iced yuzu hojicha latte with oat milk. First time I ever saw such a combination- very well crafted! The salted egg pastry was a nice surprise. Savory & hit the spot! If I lived in Bath, this would be one of the coffee shops I’d visit almost every day!

At last! A really great patisserie! And so interesting as well as delicious. Great drinks. Not enough people know about them - everyone should come and treat themselves. I love the signature cake - matcha & yuzo. So many great things to try. And special ie cream/softserve in summer.
