SugarCube Building

My wife and I were interested in renting a unit at Sugarcube. We had an appointment on Saturday with Haley Morrissette. We arrived about 10 minutes early. Haley was a few minutes late. We viewed a couple of units and I wanted pricing for a two to three year term. She still have not gotten back to me with the pricing. This is not a difficult request. A few things we noticed where the filthy walls/floor in the lobby. The music from the coffee shop was competing with the lobby music which was annoying.You pay $6,300 a month for the unit and another $300 for each vehicle. Parking should be included. There are also no amenities such as an onsite gym/pool, etc. We were really interested but the lack of customer service put us off.

I had a concert at Summit and looked for parking on Blake st. I pulled in to the garage and parked from 6p to 10p and saw I owed $50

As a resident of the Sugarcube, I cannot say enough positive things about the building and its team. I have had a challenging year personally, from losing a close family member to caring for a sick parent, and the team at SugarCube has gone above and beyond to make the process as stress-free as possible. Whether it's handling all my mail, sending important packages, extending my lease, or sending flowers and messages of support, they have helped me every step of the way. A big shout out to Brittani, who has been here since I moved in a couple of years ago. Even though I'm not the type to ask for help, she always anticipates every need. Brittani is incredibly caring, thoughtful, organized and perceptive. She makes everything seamless with her tailored approach and her willingness to help. Brittani's support has been invaluable, especially during this stressful time. Living here truly feels like you are part of a close-knit, supportive community that "has your back." The SugarCube always looks immaculate, has a modern lobby with a design-forward feel, and feels extremely safe and secure. The apartments are also beautiful. This is the best place to live!

I have loved nothing more than living in Sugarcube. I spent my first year out of college here and it was a fantastic experience. I was able to decorate and paint my apartment exactly the way I wanted, and the staff are the kindest people ever. I felt like a daughter or a good friend to many employees at sugar cube, specifically the concierge. They never hesitated to help me, from when my cat passed away, to bringing up my 1000s of deliveries. It was clear everyone who works here loves the residence like family. Biggest shoutout to Brittani who has been here the longest and is the absolute best at her job. Sugarcube has been the best home I could have asked for, and honestly is why I stayed in Denver for as long as I did. It is so heartbreaking to be leaving, I wish I could pick Sugarcube up and bring it to Seattle with me. But since I can't if you're considering making Sugarcube your home, you should sign the lease now. I am going to miss it here so much and thank you to every single staff member who made this place a beautiful and safe home for me. Ps. I hate every random stranger who parks in the garage plz figure out how to use a gate with TWO buttons on it and stop snooping around. xoxo

I almost never leave reviews - so if I’m writing one, it’s because something’s either really good or really bad. Sugarcube is really good. And that might be an understatement. It’s so good, it’s the main reason I moved back to Denver. I’m extremely picky and have lived in many luxury apartments across the country, but none compare to the service at, and feel of, Sugarcube. It’s rare that an issue arises, but if you make a maintenance request, it’s fulfilled that day, or the next day latest. The concierge helps with anything you may need, including packages left at your door, food deliveries, etc. They’re always reachable by text, and that makes living here so convenient. The apartments themselves (and the building as a whole) are built with high-quality materials and designed beautifully - high ceilings, upscale appliances, marble bathrooms, large windows, beautiful wood flooring, etc. Everything you see and touch looks and feels high-end. The building is kept in pristine condition, and the garage is secure and heated. One of my biggest problems I’ve had with other buildings is noise from other apartments. Here, I’ve never heard a peep from anyone above me or neighbors on the side. There’s no cheap construction here, and it shows. This is truly a 5-star building in every facet. If only there would be Sugarcubes in other cities as well…

We frequent little owl and often pull up to grab our drinks to go in the loading zone. When we pulled up an employee (african american, possible female / unsure of pronouns) was watering the trees in front of Sugar cube. They looked my wife up and down and seemed to have an attitude for no reason. See the review a couple down, apparently this behavior is a pattern. We have never had an interaction with this property except for leaving a voicemail for a tour almost a couple weeks back and never getting a call back. If that is the attitude you have before a prospect becomes a resident, I don’t want to know what it would be after the lease is signed. Incredibly distasteful and uncouth.

The lovely staff there had directed us to use SugarCube's public restroom in their lobby when we asked about restroom availability. The older female receptionist in the lobby proceeded to say loudly, "Excuse me, only one person is allowed to use the bathroom at a time." I'm 28 - I've clearly used a public bathroom in the past before. The way she yelled at me and my girlfriend was extremely disrespectful and a microaggression that clearly needs to be addressed.

I want to say that I have viewed a lot of buildings in the area. Many saying "Luxury" or titling "concierge". Living in a few downtown areas, I have experienced "Concierge" service before and on a very grand scale. I spoke with SugarCube Building just yesterday. They are the only building that I have spoken with that not only understands luxury but also concierge service. I'm not going to ruin it for you. If you are looking for the true experience call them and go see them. Luxury is not charging you additional fees for breathing air in the hallway or for parking near the building. These additional fees are insulting and if you apply pencil and paper to the numbers....you will see exactly what I am talking about. In addition any place that tells you "You have to have .....and that is an additional $.. a month" that is called a scam.

I am not a resident here, but they allow public parking in their garage. I spoke to some residence who the same experience that I did. If you don't do a perfect job parking, and overhang the white line separating the spaces You get a ticket for $200 for double parking. This happens to residents and guests and shows I think how much the company values their customers.
