The 11 Best Long Island Wineries 2024

"You’ll see a lot of girls’ trips or smaller parties here at Lieb, but the atmosphere is more cozy than raucous. The tasting room menu has a bit of everything, so you’ll be happy whether you’re a designated driver snacking on a cheeseboard with treats like ramp pesto (seasonally, which for ramps is approximately two weeks or three blinks), or enjoying a glass of their meritage at the bar while chatting about the wonders of minimal intervention winemaking. They’re known for their pinot blanc, which can be a tabula rasa for all things seafood." - anne cruz

Lieb Cellars Review - Cutchogue - Long Island - The Infatuation

"You’ll see a lot of girls’ trips or smaller bachelorette parties here at Lieb, but the atmosphere is more cozy than it is raucous. Google
Suhru & Lieb Vineyards has the nicest wine club experience of any of the north fork Vineyards I have been a member of. They have knowledgeable & attentive staff & awesome wines! They allow dogs outside when their patio is open as well! They have great snacks too! Definitely a wonderful Vineyard to be a member of!

Aarth

Google
My fave winery in north fork! I had a reservation but ended up sitting at the bar inside and it was the best decision. I loved their sparkling options as well as the rose! And the experience was greatly- shout out to Jack at the bar and Sheryl (unofficial ambassador). I walked out with three bottles and would recommend to everyone! Make sure you visit here if you are in the north fork!

Google
The tasting events at Suhru & Lieb are always excellent. Wine club members receive the warmest of welcomes and then enjoy a flight of the latest club offerings perfectly paired with an individual charcuterie plate. Suhru & Lieb is everything a true wine lover could expect.

Nicole Siani

Google
Every member of the staff is outstanding - pair that with the amazing wines and delightful snacks and Suhru - Lieb is a must! The views are spectacular and they often have wonderful live music. We've been at least 20 times and it always exceeds expectations!

Google
Today was my second visit at Lieb Cellars and I had a lovely time. The staff, the views and the wine make for a perfect afternoon. Jillian is beyond hospitable. My first time there she taught me about the history of Lieb Cellars and how some of the wines were made As per Nate’s knowledgeable suggestion on tasting notes, my sister and I also found a new favorite white wine. Lieb is a very homey, relaxing and refreshing place to visit and I will definitely be returning! Thank you!

Google
We came here to celebrate two birthdays! Everything was fantastic. We sat outside, watched the sunset, and once it was dark, sat near the fire. We were guided through a fantastic wine tasting with a knowledgable host who gave us the VIP experience. We will definitely be returning and telling all of our friends to visit!

Google
This is not your typical Long Island vineyard! Having worked in the wine industry for several years, I've been lucky enough to have been exposed to great wines from all over the world (I'm spoiled), and I can honestly say that Suhru & Lieb Vineyards has top notch, quality wines at very reasonable prices. I used to stop in once or twice per year but took a hiatus during the pandemic. After visiting just few weeks ago, I was reminded as to what I was missing. Since then I've already become a wine club member, been back three times and can't get enough. In terms of variety, there is something for everyone and also some very unique items on the menu for us "wine geeks." They also do a great job with some excellent food pairing choices that fit perfectly with the wines and I can tell they're constantly tweaking to bring in new options and variety. The staff is genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, which made us feel right at home, and they definitely know their wine. There is also an exceptional level of detail when it comes to consistency and cleanliness, which I think says a lot about how dedicated they are to their craft. Skip the other vineyards and just come to Suhru. & Lieb Vineyards.

Google
We tried the red tasting with a cheese board and everything was great! Lovely lady as a host who explained everything with passion. Nice view!

Yelp
We love coming to Lieb! The employees are always very nice. I like to let the bartender recommend whatever they think I should order and it's always a great selection. I've been here for my birthday, to just hang out while out east and for exclusive club member events. The outdoor seating is very relaxing and it's dog friendly! Their food selection is perfect for the wine. It's nice portions and always top quality in my opinion too. Lieb is a great affordable winery for adults and dogs which is exactly what I love.

Yelp
3 of us made a reservation and got here right as it opened. It wasn't so busy then which was great since we really got to enjoy the ambiance without much noise. The staff were very friendly and gave us some complimentary things like a few extra wine samples (ember and sparkling reserve) and dried apricots. We got 3 cheeses (black truffle pecorino (must get), beemster (a bit like a milkier cheddar), and double cream brie) which were all great as well as the smoked trout (get this) and soppresata (good as well, not as salty as it usually is for me) along with some local honey. We got a to go box because there was so much. We tried the crisp/bright tasting and the suhru tasting, and ended up getting a bottle of the la crescent. Everything was about $200 after tip.

Yelp
Lovely experience every time we go. We love the super relaxing interiors and the amazing sunsets when we sit outside. Wines are good - we usually end up with a flight. Service is friendly and quick. The snacks/cheese boards are tasty. This is our fave place to go while in the area. It's great for a date or for friends hanging out. However, it fills up quick so a reservation might be needed.

Yelp
This is an awesome winery. I came here with friends for a flight tasting and cheese and charcuterie board. Out of all the wineries we went to this was the best. Not only did they have good Riesling but their red wine stole the show. If you are looking for a good red wine vineyard on Long Island don't look any further than Lieb, you won't regret coming here!
google avatar

Yelp
They changed their tasting menu and it's a bit limited now. They offer Bridge Lane wines but if I'm at Lieb, then that's the wine I'd like to try. They put us in the back room at first and it felt secluded so we asked to move and I'm glad we did. The big room is so beautiful so it was nice to take that in as you sipped wine. They have a great sparkling here.

Yelp
Lieb Cellars is a bit off the beaten path but worth the trip. Sadly, my heater tower was not working properly and so I had to cut my trip short. My trip to Lieb was delightful despite the chill in the are. My friend and I enjoyed a flight experience and we both bought a bottle of wine to go. I found the wines to be bold and fruity in comparison to other Vineyards in the area. I definitely look forward to returning in the spring. I would definitely recommend making a day of it and combining your wine tasting with a tour of the vineyard.

Yelp
Visited last Saturday for a little pre-dinner drinking. The place is dog friendly and has a good amount of seating. We also saw some people picnic in the backyard on the lawn and sit in their cars, in case you don't have reservations. I did the summer flight but didn't love the options, though it may have just been me. Great selection of wine + wonderful service as well!

Yelp
Our 1st Vineyard that we visited since our quarantined lifestyle. It felt so great to be at a Vineyard that makes you feel safe during these times. The Tables were spaced out & they have the entrance roped off. The entire atmosphere under the tent was wonderful. We order Brie, Cheddar & Manchego Cheese which were delicious. We tried different wines by the glasses & end up taking out Cabernet Franc as a winner for us. The waitress & staff were amazing & helpful which made it a perfect place to enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice venue, outdoor seating. Beautiful undercover seating, out of the sun accommodations. Nice view overlooking Vineyard. Small quaint facility. Wine, eh, not bad. Wasn't overly impressed by any of the wines. The experience at the Vineyard was great. Our servers pouring wine were-fabulous, polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. Made reservations for six, we brought eight, they were very very accommodating.

Yelp
I believe it's one of the newer vineyards in the area. Located across from farmland and fields which is a bit of a different view from other vineyards. I love the wine here. Both red and white flights are a must. The red blend which I can find at my local wine stores in brooklyn is smooth and my favorite. Also like the Cabernet Sauvignon and the pinot blanc. Yes north fork has a lot of vineyards but in my honest opinion not many are good. This place is my current favorite. Another nice touch is the snack options they have - you can mix and match for your choice of meats , cheeses ,olives. Also smoked salmon on the menu. I usually make reservations as this place gets busy.

Tracy B.

Yelp
This is a great location for wine tasting. The food was excellent as well as the wine selections from the vineyard. They have indoor, covered patio and outdoor seating. Great day out here

Yelp
One of my favorite wineries in the North Fork so far! It was surprisingly beautiful. Surprising because when i first drove up, I thought the patio was secluded with an obstructed view of the vineyard. Boy was I wrong! It was perfect, even in COVID. The wines were so delicious that I ended up purchasing all three red bottles to get my flight free. The service was amazing. My hats off to our hostess, who I could tell was basically serving all of the tables at once. She was efficient, attentive and just plain friendly. A bite of the black truffle cheese with a sip of the estate Teroldego-Lagrein overlooking the vineyard...heaven.

Yelp
It was our first time in North Fork -- aka wine country -- and Lieb Cellars did not disappoint! Tip: Plan for traffic! Also, if you're not into table service and sitting around other folks, they offer the option to "rent" a picnic blanket and take the cheese out to the vineyard so you can do something more socially distanced. Food & Drinks: We had the 2017 Estate Sparkling Rosé and created a cheese board with double cream brie, manchego, olives, and jam. I would recommend two kinds of cheese for two people. Everything was delicious and paired beautifully with our wine! We ended up taking a bottle of 2019 Bridge Lane Rosé home because the wine we ordered only came in magnum size. Ambiance: All tables were nicely spaced out. We sat on the patio, facing the quiet road. Although it was a Saturday and a little busy, the place felt very zen and relaxing. Customer Service: Amazing! We did arrive about 10 minutes late to our reservation due to some traffic. Even though the reservations are only for 90 mins, we did not feel rushed. Our waitress did check on us a few times to make sure we had everything and was more than happy to make recommendations. All in all, it was a wonderful and relaxing time. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at our tasting at Lieb Vineyards. The ambiance is so relaxing, the outdoor patio views a beautiful nursery as well as the vineyards. We had the white flight and the Estate flight. We also purchased the hummus with plantains, a perfect accompaniment to the wines. The wines were delicious and we opted to buy 3 bottles.

Yelp
This place was alright. Wine wasn't so great and it didn't help the fact that we were in the Sun. We had to move our chairs just to be a little under the shade. Didn't have food as we wanted to save our appetite for dinner. Got seated right away. Seats were comfortable. Prices were fair and reasonable. Other than that it was just an okay place, can't say I'd be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited with a group a while back and was a pleasant time. The wines were good and the app platters were delicious. They even have gluten free crackers. Our waiter was great!
google avatar

Maureen B.

Yelp
Beautiful setting in a rustic Morton built barn, surrounded by farmland on picturesque Oregon Rd. Picnic tables, as well as Adirondack chairs make for comfortable seating for groups as small as two, or as large as eight to ten. Paintings by Max Moran aligned the walls inside adding to the rural, fresh air feeling while sipping your choice of wine, and snacks are also available. Additionally there is a beautiful, intimate tasting room. Check their web page for information about live music events.

Yelp
Loved this place. Cozy warm atmospheric and very friendly staff. Wine is delicious. They light a little fire at your table over looking the vineyard. The Lieb Wine Tasting option was great with 6 options from light to dark. The cheese and meat board aren't cheap but quality & portions are great. Our driver arrived after 90 minutes to bring to our next location. We arrived to our next vineyard (souless place with ok wine) and immediately regretting leaving Lieb. Can't wait to go back & stay longer on next trip. Also I had foot injury & it was very easy to access.

Yelp
We kind of stumbled on this off the beaten path winery since the cider place we normally go to was closed. The atmosphere was cute. The patio was in the front of the building with white lights strung overhead. The patio overlooks an open field. There was comfortable seating (patio couches and chairs) which was either in the shade or sun. Inside there was seating as well. The bathroom was clean. They happened to have their own cider which tasted more like champagne but wasn't bad. I then ordered the white wine tasting flight which allowed me to taste 5 different types. The waitress sat down and explained each and which they would be best paired with. I really liked the rosé. It was light and not too sweet. We also ordered the mozzarella burrata which was delicious which was paired with a side of fresh pesto and crackers. It wasn't salty at all. The mozzarella was super fresh and melted in my mouth. It was low key and perfect for my day off! My only disappointment was that there was no music outside so we played our own pandora. I would definitely return!

Yelp
I picked Lieb as it is one of the few wineries on the east end that offers sparkling wines. That's a major factor to us as my wife prefers either a Prosecco or Cava. Lieb Cellars did not disappoint. My wife very much enjoyed their Estate Sparkling Pinot Blanc and I enjoyed their dry Riesling. We would also like to echo the positive comments others have shared concerning the "off the between track" location and their excellent cheese and charcuterie selections. Kudos to our server Victoria and Susan our hostess. Hope to see you next year.
google avatar

Herendira M.

Yelp
We enjoy going back to Lieb whenever we are in Long Island . This a a place where you MUST stop by to try their red wine. Their outdoor seating is the best and get the best sunset views. We recently found their wine at a restaurant in Yonkers called Zuppa. I was so excited that we can find their wine outside of L.I. Can't wait to go back

Yelp
Book early if you want to sit outside. Apparently the braziers throw off more BTUs than the patio heaters. We had a nice corner table overlooking the farm across the road. A food order is mandatory, we chose the Creminelli prosciutto, the smoked trout and the Cambazola cheese This came on a decorative paper platter with an abundance of crackers. The prosciutto and cheese were generous portions in good condition, the trout was a large filet of red salmon trout -- I have never had this smoked before. Very pleased. Oh, you want to know about wine. There are two set tastings each of four wines at $20. One tasting featured two whites, a rose and a red. The other two whites and two reds. I believe the first is the Autumnal, the second the Estate. These are served in stemless glasses.. After a weekend of tasting memories are somewhat vague. I would skip the white merlot offered in tasting one but we plumped for a bottle of its red brother. There was a decent Chardonnay in there as well. But the most interesting wine is the Teroldego Lagrein a blend of two Northern Italian varietals -- unique. Perhaps close to a mellower Rhone wine. All in all we took six bottles -- for three they will comp you a tasting, and for six they add a 5% discount. So we left quite happy indeed.

Yelp
Real cool little place that's off the beaten path from the other wineries on the North Fork. I'd come back during the cooler months since the inside was very quaint and comfortable and their outdoor seating was a gated patio with views of the street and some vines. I enjoyed the fact that they offered table service without overcharging you to stay and have a bottle of wine. Our server was super helpful; assisted us in picking out the wines and also which cheeses would pair best! I must say, the truffle cheese we got there was to die for! I caught myself daydreaming about it the next afternoon. We got a couple bottles, one being the White Merlot which was real tasty and you couldn't beat it for the price. Fun Fact: They offer BOXED wine to go and it's not what you're thinking. We were able to snag a box of the White Merlot to go for $38 but the box holds the equivalent of 4 bottles! Come on now...perfect for the beach or a BBQ and no worries about glass. Plus, for the price you save a few $$ ;)

Yelp
Alicia was judged us based on skin color. Very unfortunate. If I could give a 0 star I would. Her words exactly were " you're not our vibe" Edit: Apparently what they're saying is that only non colored people can be racist. Your customer service was terrible my friend was barely out of the parking lot, Alicia saw out group and said NO. Now she's changing her words. Her tone towards us was no where close to friendly customer service from beginning. Additionally while asking for a legitimate explanation, she ignored us and assisted someone else. Lastly, the big group thing is just a nice excuse because a simple solution was "ok we can do 2 groups of 6" We took our business elsewhere, had no issues, in fact they were delighted to have us and guess what, it was not a bar. Because you assume that's where we belong. Lastly, they're expecting an apology from me. For being denied service. Shouldn't it be the other way around? For receiving terrible service? Again, Terrible customer service.
google avatar

Denise G.

Yelp
We came on Saturday with our puppy, everyone was so nice and I loved their Cabernet Franc!! We were on our way home when I realized I didn't have my prescription sunglasses.....I called and Alicia couldn't hv been nicer, she found them and they are shipping them to me!! Thank you so much and we will definitely be back soon!!
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
Excellent, hospitable service and a nice variety of wines. Try the white merlot and estate merlot were my favorites.

Michael L.

Yelp
I have a membership at Lieb. Went to the tasting room to pick up my quarterly wine requirement and saw four friends sitting at at table. So, we went over and they said, "C'mon, sit with us. Just get a couple of chairs." Well, one of the young women working there said we couldn't take any chairs from elsewhere because "they're all taken." Our friends were sitting next to a table that had four customers and six chairs. She still said we couldn't move the unused chairs and that we could sit at the bar. We pointed out that we'd be happy using the bar chairs. So she said, "Nope, can use those because of fire regulations." So we asked for the manager. She came over and repeated the rude position taken by the other employee. Lieb has fine wine, matched only by their nasty staff.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere of this tasting room. Small enough to feel cozy & intimate, but still a decent amount of seating & space. I didn't realize that reservations were recommended, but we were lucky to get a spot at the bar right away. We went on a Sunday in late February & they were busy, so I'm sure it gets packed in the summer. Definitely make a reservation. Service was great & I enjoyed all the wines a tried (I got a flight of whites). They have a small food menu as well & we had to try the savory macaroons, which didn't disappoint. Live music was great too. I regretted not taking home a bottle of one of their white wines, but was lucky enough to find the Pinot Blanc at a local liquor store.
google avatar

Carolina F.

Yelp
Great service, nice wines, good food. Came to this place for some wine tasting in LI and everything was great as well as the service, very nice people.
google avatar

Antoinette C.

Yelp
My daughter and I went late in he afternoon midweek and it was full on the patio. I prefer more footage when it comes to social distancing. Rules about mask wearing is posted. On patio pets allowed. My daughter had their summer flight. Five 2oz. Servings. We ordered their buffalo mozzarella and crackers with pesto on the side. Very nice. Their rose is delicious. Took home three bottles and that resulted in no charge for the flight. Good salesmanship too. We had a beautiful view of the farm across the Road and butterflies prancing from bush to bush near our seats. Very enjoyable experience. I do not know what the interior looks like but outdoors it's relaxing to watch nature. Staff helpful but could improve on attentive behavior. Took awhile to get their attention. Maybe not enough staff on the patio when all tables are taken.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
I've been to Lieb Cellars at least half a dozen times, and it does not disappoint (disclaimer: I also used to sell the wines wholesale). Our latest visit we arrived just after a rain squall, so after a few minute wait while the polite staff tidied and dried the outdoor furniture, we took our seats with a view of the neighboring fields. Birds swooped by as we sipped on the assortment of reds, whites and sparkling. In terms of wine quality, I've always been a big fan of their still Pinot Blanc, not the most popular of grapes but one that Lieb has championed after learning it wasn't Chardonnay in their fields in the 90s. But in addition, the expanded list of reds and Sparkling that the winery makes are all top caliber, thanks to winemaker Russell Hearn who took over the reins almost a decade ago. And if you are lucky enough to have Derek take care of you, your only drawback will be the lull in conversation as he steps away to take care of other visitors. And as the pictures denote, it's dog friendly!
google avatar

Vikki M.

Yelp
I love the views, I love the wine and the truffle honey with brie makes me super happy. Staff has always been super nice here. Reservations on a nice summer day are almost always needed but you can always sit at the bar if you're like me and never plan ahead. They're open a bit later than some of the other north fork tasting rooms which is also a plus. Almost always hit this place as a last stop on a day out east.
google avatar

Jodi R.

Yelp
Found this spot Oct 2017 and love the ambience. The wines are reasonably priced and delicious! Amazing friendly and knowledgeable staff! Can't wait to have my private tasting party as a premier member! Julie is fabulous!
google avatar

Soojin S.

Yelp
So elegant and relaxing. Loved the floral environment. Felt like I was attending an afternoon boushie wedding. We kept ordering more wine and the sommelier did an excellent job of explaining the wines and the history of the vineyard. Loved this wine tasting, would definitely recommend
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
Love this winery. Favorite wine is their Cab-franc. From beginning to end this Cab delights. Had such a great afternoon with our taste captain Garrett talking is through the vineyards selections that I joined the club. Looking forward to future events now that I'm a member!
google avatar

Debrin S.

Yelp
A bit more unobtrusive than some of the other more familiar spots on the trail. Good vibe. Their sparking Rosé is exceptional. The ultimate tasting is the better bang for your buck as it offers more Reserve choices. The exterior patio w fire pits & chill seating overlooking the vineyard is perfect. The interior seating is smaller but w a tasting bar, club chairs & a private tasting room its ample enough but still intimate. Servers are typical but knowledgable. Charcuterie served w a nice assortment of cheeses, cured meats, bread, crackers & some sweets too. We bought a 1/2 case of a mix of the Rosé, dessert wine, & some reds. Suggested.
google avatar

Elsie W.

Yelp
LOVE the outdoor patio seating (they have indoor seating as well)! Very cute winery with wine flights. They offer 3 flights of 5 wines each: White Wines ($16), Red Wines ($18), Reserve Wines ($20). Make a reservation if you have a group of 6 or more. I wasn't too crazy about their wines, but was totally enamored with their brie with TRUFFLE HONEY. I bought a jar to go at $20 a pop. It went perfectly with the cheese!

Kim M.

Yelp
On their website it states they are open till 7pm- which actually means they stop selling wine at 6:30 on the dot. We arrived slightly before 6:30, waited a couple minutes at the hostess table to be acknowledged and were told we missed last call but they could serve us glasses. We asked to do a flight and were told unequivocally no they weren't serving anymore. We asked kindly if this was a liquor license issue and they said no just "winery policy". Not sure how a glass is different from a flight which is basically the equivalent of a glass but we opted to leave given the attitude of the hostess. There was a good crowd so maybe the wine is good, the service and attitudes not so much. Important to note this was our second winery stop so we were not even close to inebriated so that was certainly not a reason to refuse service. If you stop serving at 6:30, that's fine, but update your website to reflect that

Yelp
Great laid back atmosphere, def. recommend this place to unwind & relax. We ordered the goat cheese and mozzarella w pesto best I've ever had anywhere, hands down. If ur looking for a great place to drink & relax, u can't go wrong w lieb cellars. It was by far my favorite vineyard of all the vineyards I visited. I went to quite a few
google avatar

Courtney Z.

Yelp
I am a BIG fan of this winery! I am a wine club member and enjoy the perks! We had to make a reservation this time since they redid their space and required it. Tables are open and people are being turned away. This I'll never understand. I hope they fix this. Other than that the wine is amazing. My favorites are the meritage and Blanc de Blanc. However, there isn't one here I didn't like. Well priced and well done wine making.
google avatar

Steven T.

Yelp
A nice place to sit and taste wine. They also have a nice selection of cheese as well.

Lawrence L.

Yelp
I got the white wine flight and I would say the sparking Pinot blanc was most impressive with the apple and pear flavor! Very refreshing to have. The Pinot Blanc was very smooth to drink too and the Riesling was very floral flavor as it states. The Chardonnay was aight I didn't like the vanilla flavor particularly but overall I was happy with the white flight. Def deserving of 5/5. The salmon appetizer was also delicious and very affordable too! I highly recommend to come here again. Also very nice vibes overall and nice scenery too!!!
google avatar

Eva Y.

Yelp
Overall, a decent winery. It is a great spot to make a pit stop when on the road or to chill on a sunny afternoon. It is somewhat hidden as it is off the main road, so you can really enjoy the atmosphere without being bothered by car or foot traffic. They have indoor bar and lounge-like seating and outdoor waiters service. Was not too crazy about the wines BUT, the star of the place is the TRUFFLE HONEY. The honey was addictive and pairs perfectly with the cheese. The honey alone is enough to make me a returning customer and keeps Lieb Cellars lingering in my mind. And you can buy a bottle to go!
google avatar

Evan S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious wine at Lieb! I recommend the ice wine if you're into sweeter pours, but their flight was great in general
google avatar

Ali S.

Yelp
Made a reservation online easily and had a great wine tasting here, along with the cheese plates and olives. We did a white tasting and a reserve tasting and ended up loving the Reserve Chardonnay. The cheese were excellent too - we did Gouda and goat along with the truffle honey (amazing). The patio was perfect and located off the main road so it was peaceful and scenic and the waiter was really knowledgeable and friendly. Will def come back !!

Yelp
Our trip to Lieb was our first time going out to eat anywhere since March. We were so happy with their COVID precautions. Tables/menus were sanitized, everything was disposable, mask required when moving around & tables were distanced. There was one point another patron was standing with her dog trying to talk to another patron with no mask on. One of the employees quickly got their attention and politely asked them to put a mask on. We really appreciated that since the woman was very close to our table. We really appreciated the lengths they've gone through!

Yelp
Lieb is without question one of my favorite, if not favorite, wineries on the North Fork. We take an annual trip in January to the North Fork - and while we try not to repeat wineries - we always stop at this place. Lieb has a small, intimate tasting room - marked by a small bar, comfy couches and chairs, and a 'wine library' in the back. While the wines are typically pretty good, we never go without cheese. Lieb does a fantastic job of sourcing incredible cheese - I believe locally - which are unique and well paired with their wines. Incredible. This time we went with the double cream brie and truffle manchego cheeses which were both to die for. The brie was particularly well matched with their 2013 Reserve Blanc de Blancs. But enough about cheese - let's talk about the wine. We went with the reserve tasting and thought that the wine was overall pretty good this year. As mentioned above I enjoyed the Blanc de Blancs in particular because of it's pairing with the brie, but overall the 2013 Reserve Cabernet Franc was my favorite - unfortunately they were unable to sell this by the bottle. Last year Lieb was having a case sale where we got a case of 2012 Merlot that we absolutely love for a mere $100. I believe there was a similar case sale for one of their whites, but disappointed that we couldn't snag a similar deal this year on their reds. Friendly staff who provides attentive service and is well versed in their wines. To our surprise, at 3p there was live music which added to the great time we were having at Lieb. I highly recommend a visit - you will not be disappointed in the wines (or their cheese!). (Note: 10% off purchases with Yelp check-in!)

Yelp
I'm a bit late on writing this review! I've been to Lieb's Oregon Road location at least a dozen times and their Mattituck location at least six times. They've become a recent favorite of mine for a variety of reasons. First, Alicia and her team do a fantastic job of making you feel very welcomed, second, they are knowledgeable of the wines that they carry (along with other grape varieties and wines from the region), and third, the prices are quite fair both for tastings and full bottles. Especially in a region where I constantly hear complaints from folks about the wines generally being "Too expensive" and "Why would I buy Long Island wine when I can go buy xyz Malbec from Mendoza for $7." Anyway, here's the 411... My favorites include: + Their Blanc de Blanc sparkling is fantastic and a great start for me (my tasting experience) as well as a great ending! It's the rare 100% Pinot Blanc and not 100% Chardonnay (which most would expect due to their knowledge Champagne region labeling etc) + Their 2010 Cab Franc is fantastic, drinking well now but I think can get even better with some age (2-3 years?) + Their 2007 Reserve Meritage is my favorite wine of theirs and features 4 of the 5 Bordeaux grape varieties. It doesn't feature Petit Verdot, rather Syrah (a few % pts) and imparts a different flavor on the wine which I do enjoy. Again, it's nice to have a winery produce a blend with a different grape variety or 2 (different from what other wineries on LI are doing with their blends) Oregon Road Location: + It's set in sort of an industrial warehouse (which is quite large) and features a very large indoor lounge, a private sectioned off wine room with a very large table to seat a large party/group + Their outdoor area is very large as well (in the front) with fire pits! They also have fantastic sunset views in the afternoon/evening... - The only negative for me is that due to the popularity of Lieb and this location, it can get quite busy...so get there early Other Location: + Their Mattituck location on Cox Neck Road is nice but a bit more "No frills" and definitely much smaller. You can take a glass and sit outside under the trees on the picnic benches which is nice as well THIS has been a review by Gaurav

Yelp
Alicia (that was the name on the receipt not sure if that was her actual name, she barely spoke to us) was an unpleasant server. We were a small party of 2, we ordered 2 boxes and 2 bottles to go after our cheese board and flights. We have enjoyed coming here in the past but today the service was awful. Don't think we will be retuning. It was clear my brown skin offended her.
