Been hearing alot of raves about this place so gave it a try. I think the quality of the black pork is undeniably good. However the server kind of butchered the cooking. The good meat ended up being overcooked and tough and hard and dry. The second round we actually cooked ourselves and it was so much better. The meats aren't too expensive and it seems like there's lots of locals here as well. Its a pity that good meat like this end up being overcooked.

I recently dined at 숙성도 and had high expectations given its reputation for serving Jeju’s famed black pork. I ordered both the premium black pork and the cross-aged black pork, hoping for a flavorful, memorable experience. Unfortunately, the meal fell short on multiple fronts. The meat, while visually appealing, was surprisingly underwhelming in taste. It lacked the rich depth and succulence that good black pork typically offers. The texture was fine, but the flavor didn’t stand out, even with the so-called “aged” variant. Equally disappointing were the condiments. Normally, thoughtful banchan and sauces elevate grilled pork, but here, they added little to no enhancement. In fact, they seemed more like an afterthought than carefully curated accompaniments. The complimentary kimchi stew, which is usually a comfort staple at Korean BBQ spots, also failed to impress. It was bland and forgettable, lacking the robust tang or umami that makes a good kimchi jjigae satisfying. Overall, 숙성도 felt more like style over substance. For the price point and the hype, I expected a much more flavorful and balanced dining experience. Sadly, this meal didn’t live up to expectations.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.7/5 I recently visited 濟州 熟成到 本店, and I must say it was an incredible dining experience! The restaurant specializes in dry-aged pork, and you can tell they take their craft seriously. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel right at home. What stood out the most was how friendly and attentive they were throughout the meal. They not only helped us cook the meat on the table grill but also guided us on the best way to enjoy each cut—such a thoughtful touch! The dry-aged pork itself was absolutely delicious. The texture was tender with a rich, concentrated flavor that you can only get from proper aging. The meat had a beautiful balance of fat and lean cuts, and when grilled, it developed a perfect caramelized crust while staying juicy inside. They served it with fresh greens, pickled garlic, and other banchan (side dishes) that complemented the pork wonderfully. The king oyster mushroom with Korean branding on it added a fun and flavorful element to the meal. We also enjoyed a hearty bowl of spicy stew that rounded out the experience beautifully. The only downside was that their signature 960-day dry-aged pork, which I was really looking forward to, was sold out for the day. It was a bit disappointing, but I can’t fault them too much since it’s clearly a popular item. I’d recommend calling ahead to check availability if you’re set on trying it. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try that elusive 960-day aged pork! If you’re a fan of high-quality meat and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit in Jeju.

Absolutely amazing experience. Splendid service to cook the meat, arrange the meat & suggest the best way to eat (with garnish, sauce & veg). If they take it one step further, they would have to feed it into your mouth 😋 The best black pork (of the 3 we ate in our visit to Jeju).

There was a long wait when we first went at weekend dinner time but it was free of a queue when we went on a weekday lunch. The black pork was the best we've tried in our time in Jeju!

Ultimate Jeju black pork experience. This is the way to do it. Meat is so tender. Cant go wrong with the 960 bone-in sirloin and 960 pork neck. The fried rice was flavored with some kind of roe - very unique. Highly recommend

The restaurant offers great food and atmosphere, but the service was disappointing. We enjoyed our first order of pork so much that we decided to add another set. Unfortunately, the second order was subpar, consisting mostly of fat with barely any lean meat. Before we could raise the issue, the meat was already on the grill and cooked. When we tried to explain the disparity to a waiter, he couldn't understand English and brought someone who could, along with a senior staff member. However, the senior staff member didn’t give us a chance to explain, continuously speaking over us as though dismissing our concerns. While they did replace the meat, which we appreciated, the interaction felt dismissive, leaving a negative impression despite the quality of the food. Picture below is the good meat.

Food was superb, we really enjoyed it. Their pork is one of the best. But like others have said, some staff are quite unfriendly. I don’t know if they are too exhausted or it’s only toward foreigners. Such a pity, I would love to recommend it to my friends too!!
