I would not recommend anyone going to do this restaurant! The owner, "Z", was extremely rude to me today and gave me the worst customer service experience I've ever had! I have come here over 20 times over the past three years and I've never had an issue. I'm vegetarian, so I always get some type of tofu with usually cabbage and some other vegetable or a veggie plate to-go. The food was never amazing, but it was a good price for the amount of food and I would always be able to eat at least two meals out of the portion. However, today I found what looked like a black hair in my cabbage and I asked for a refund. The owner not only told me I could not have a refund and they do not do refunds, but she also told me that it did not look like a hair follicle, it looks like a piece of lint that may have fallen off my shirt because there's no way it came from her kitchen because they all wear hair nets. I have blonde hair. I have never been to or heard of a restaurant that wouldn't agree to give someone a refund if there was some type of hair or something like that in their food not only without question, but usually also with an apology. She was beyond rude to blame something like that on the customer. She told me she would make me another plate of the same exact dish or that I could have a store credit but that they do not give refunds there no matter what. My last attempt to get my refund was to explain to her that I had been there over the past three years at least 20 times and that the cashier that had taken my order knew me very well and that I was a good customer that had never had an issue. She went back in the kitchen and then came out and agreed to give me the refund but told me it was never going to happen again and that it was a one-time deal. I just remember thinking: "you don't have to worry about that I'll never come here again". It was bad enough that I had to go through that much stress to get my refund of $10.17 after feeling nauseous about finding a hair in my food and then on top of that for her to say something so incredibly rude!? No thanks! I would have been happy with a partial refund since I ate some of the food, but I knew I would never return here again so I did not want a store credit or another plate. I'd like to add that I never once raised my voice to this woman or disturbed the other customers waiting in line to order food. I was very respectful of her business but I will never patronize a business that treats their customers this way. I was told by the cashier (who is very polite and kind) later outside that she is like this with everyone.
