The First Shop to Shutter at the New Essex Market — and More Closings | Eater NY

"A Chinatown tofu factory and restaurant that specialized in rice rolls, rice noodles and dumplings has closed; it sold what were touted as some of the best rice rolls in Chinatown from a small takeout window at $1–$2 apiece." - Eater Staff

Sun Hing Lung - Review - Chinatown - New York - The Infatuation

"For the best rice rolls in Chinatown, head to this tofu factory on Henry Street. Order from the window on the street, and you’ll get to watch as rice rolls are made to order right in front of you, going from liquid to gooey noodle sheet in a matter of a minute or so. Depending on your filling of choice (we like the tiny dried shrimp, but pork or egg are good bets too), this will cost somewhere between $1.50 and $2. Top that with the variety of sauces - peanut, soy, hoisin, and sriracha - and you have one of the best breakfasts/lunches/snacks in NYC. There isn’t anywhere to sit, but you’ll also probably scarf the contents of the styrofoam container down in about three minutes on the street anyway. Just come early in the day, as they’re only open from 7:30am to 3pm. photo credit: Noah Devereaux" - Hillary Reinsberg
