Wow! What a menu - we were spoilt for choice! I had the Spicy Asian Burger - it was delicious and the homemade coleslaw on it was so fresh and zingy! My wife had the All American Burger and the sauce, dill pickles and patty combined beautifully! Customer service was excellent and they really looked after us! We're supposed to be exploring Nashville but I already know we'll be coming back to the Sunflower Cafe for a return visit(s)! Superb!

Google
Pros: We were greeted immediately upon entry and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious, it came out quickly, and the price was reasonable for the amount given. Gender neutral restrooms. Plenty of places to sit. The restaurant is not too loud. Indoor and outdoor seating. Overall score: A+

Ordered the BBQ Potato Bowl, a side of Sesame Kale, and a chocolate chip cookie dough. It was way too much food to eat in one sitting and made for fantastic left overs the next day. The BBQ "meat" was tender and delicious. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I was expecting, but still yummy. Cashew cheese was excellent. The potatoes made the dish a bit heavy, so I took about half home. The kale was cooked wonderfully. Seasoned excellency. Consumed it all that first day. I saved the chocolate chip cookie dough for the next day. Excellent choice. It was sweet, sugary, delicious. Hit the spot in the middle of a long day of conference seminars. Love love love love that everything at the restaurant was vegan. It helped give me so much piece of mind when ordering my meal. It's also a very laid back atmosphere. Order at the counter. Take your tray back to any table of your choice. Music wasn't loud. Room temperature was comfortable. No rush to eat and leave. Very very low key. Made it easy to have great conversations with new folks. If I ever return to Nashville, this will be on my list of places to eat at again.

Google
Went here because I wanted to try Nashville hot chicken while in town. I got the Vegan Hot Chik’n bowl and it was tasty. I did not get the hot sauce on top, but the bowl still had some heat. I will admit my palette is basically a mild to medium spice level. Nonetheless, the bowl was delicious. I also had the jalapeño cornbread which helped cool my mouth down. Highly recommend getting this bowl if you want to experience Nashville Hot Chicken vegan style.

Google
Didn't know what to expect coming in here but the vibes were great and all the food options sounded amazing. I opted for the ginger tahini tofu with quinoa and I was blown away. As someone who cooks WFPB at home, I appreciated the oil-free/minimal oil space and was so impressed with how tasty the food was. My family also thoroughly enjoyed their meal and didn't even notice it was oil free. The bowls are super filling and all-around a great experience I was not expecting driving through Nashville.

Google
Came here a couple years ago and remembered the food being just ok. My wife wanted to give it another try and we both regretted it immediately. The burger was one of the most foul smelling food items I’ve ever encountered and it tasted like it smelled. Threw it in the trash. The rest of the food was just ok, but that was so gross it honestly ruined the meal for us.

Google
Personally, I’m more of a “eat at the restaurant” kind of dude over delivery/takeout but sometimes it be that way lol. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy my order in fresh form and not deteriorated due to the car ride. Everything was delicious & packaged very well. Looking forward to visiting in-person during another Nash trip! 🌯🧋😋

Google
I recently dined here, and it was an absolute delight! The food was simply incredible—bursting with flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish I tried was a testament to how delicious vegan cuisine can be. The service was impressively quick, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. This is hands down the best food I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to come back again and again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch vegan dining experience!

Yelp
Pros: + amazing food even with a "healthy" approach + caters to allergies really well including gluten + kind amazing people that are very helpful + Earth friendly environment as if you're walking into a restaurant hidden in a garden Cons: - Parking & location Okay, how have I not written a review for this place?? You ever wanted to know what it's like to go into a restaurant that's hidden in a garden?? Well unfortunately they're not located at one, BUT it absolutely feels like it with the amazing delicious food and the amazing setting! They're the older sibling restaurant of Sunflower Bakehouse so they'll have some desserts from there but even they're own homemade parfaits and so delicious!! They take a more healthy approach (at least that's what it seems like to me) that's like what would happen if Subway went vegan and had their own garden with their wraps and sandwiches, but everything is delicious to where you just feel better after eating lol! Tho the parking can be a little tight on their busiest of days (the parking lot seems to hold no more than 15 cars) but hey maybe that's a sign that I should start biking there instead lol! All in all this is a great restaurant where you're guaranteed a healthy option no matter what you get so even tho it doesn't seem like it, it's perfect for those that are into fitness also (speaking from experience) so stop reading this and go check out after your last set!

Yelp
We visited Sunflower Cafe at the recommendation of my Godson who lives in the area. This establishment had a cafeteria style way of ordering your food. We came for lunch and it wasn't too busy. The tables were very close to each other and it was a bit noisy. The indoor temperature was a bit cold. The service was quick and the servers behind the counter were very friendly and if you're not sure of the food item, you can taste it before you order. I ordered the Spicy Thai Curry with brown rice. The spice level was spot on for this dish. I also ordered fruit as a compliment to the dish. It was so delicious! Other dishes we ordered was a vegan burger, cold slaw (my husband didn't care for it) potato salad & southwestern salad, my friend loved. We traveled through Nashville traffic. It was worth it. The drive back wasn't as bad. Overall, I recommend this restaurant. It's totally vegan and the price is right.

Yelp
This is a great spot to go for Vegan/Vegetarian. The food is very good and the staff are friendly. I myself am not vegan or vegetarian but I am completely open to eating it. Food is food :) To the meat eaters out there, go into these places with an open mind, I guarantee you will enjoy it. A good diet consists of "mostly plants" as I heard a doctor say once before. We as Americans eat too much meat I believe. Meat used to be a treat and a special thing. Saying that, yes I am a meat eater, and yes I probably eat too much meat. Now on to the review: I usually opt for their "you pick two" (Not sure if that's what it's called) but I get the soup option and a side. I don't get to eat out as often as I want but each time I have come here, it's always delicious and served with love.

Yelp
Great vegan eatery no frills just great food, really liked the tahini tofu ginger bowl, mushroom burger was great too, everything was very flavorful and delicious and so filling, service was great and fast it had kinda old school eatery vibes served luncheon style

Yelp
After a long day of work, I was desperate to eat a super late lunch/early dinner. I ordered a "Chicken Bacon Wrap" with a side of Pad Thai Salad. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS ! I am so satisfied right now, I can barely type lol The service was extremely quick and both cashiers were sweet, kind, patient and helpful !! I cannot WAIT to return back here ! The ambiance is casual, it's great for a quick bite or date night !! JUST COME ON IN HERE !!

Yelp
I'm a wanna be vegan so anytime I'm near good vegan food I get it. I really wanted their curried chickpea salad, but I didn't see it. I got this instead and I'm not disappointed. Well, except they forgot the ranch and I had my hands full that I didn't look and failed to ask. I've only had delicious food here. My husband even enjoys eating here. Parking was easy around 11:30 which was nice. I had my pup with me and they said I could eat on the back patio with her or the seats out front. Staff is always nice. This is my go-to place when I'm in the area.

Yelp
I haven't been here in like 4 or 5 years. I was super excited to because I use to come here all the time in the past. I was a bit disappointed bc the garlic burger didn't have the spicy aioli sauce it typically comes with and it just didn't taste the same. The potatoes were good, so was the chocolate mousse. My husband got the Caesar chik wrap and said it was very good. I would definitely try it again and try something else.

Yelp
Walking in feels very comforting. The back patio was closed today, but I see how someone could have a wonderful dining experience out there. There's still an area in the front for outdoor dining where half receives shade and the other half exposes you to the sun (choices). There's intimate indoor seating and it reminds me of being in a country cottage. The servers/hostesses (because they do both) are kind and attentive. I couldn't tell if all of the menu items are displayed, but I definitely like the buffet style set up as a newbie. I tend to think if it looks & smells great, it will taste great too Remember, everything is vegan so be sure to inform carnivore friends There are Cannabis, CBD, and kombucha varieties of beverage if you're into that. There's also alkaline water and agave soda if you're into that. Ohhhhh! If you're feeling contactless, there's online ordering and a designated area where you can pick up your food (without ever saying a word). So if you have a tight lunch and you didn't bring yours....this is a good option if you're in the area. I had the lasagna and it had seasoning I actually liked it and they didn't drown the entree in sauce. I will definitely try another selection when I'm in the area.

Stacey M.

Yelp
Nashville Vegan food Mecca. Extensive menu of sandwiches, wraps, bowls and salads with a variety of themes. Won't disappoint! Tucked away in Berry Hill and worth the visit. On repeat.

Yelp
Newly navigating alpha gal syndrome . ( allergy to meat from a tick bite , spray for ticks ) this place is dairy free , meat free gluten free , all kinds of free except for the ticket ... I am new to this kind of food . It was good . I had a tofu ginger bowl .. flavorful , clean inside , artsy , and friendly staff . My husband now eats vegan too ... he thought they were gonna serve daffodils and rice . But they didn't have that .... He had the famous bbq bowl .. which was flavorful .. it almost tasted like the real thing . if you like vegan or want to try it like us , I'd give this place a shot .

Yelp
Hubby and I stayed in Nashville for a 6 days. We came in late for a quick dinner. The sunflower giant sign on the road really helped us find this place in the dark. Even though we walked in late their staffs were super nice, and didn't mind giving us recommendations. We got the famous barbecue bowl with quinoa. The bowl were big enough for the both of us (still have leftovers...) They also let us try both collar greens and kale. My husband enjoyed the green, and I liked the kale. The garlic aïoli on top was amazing. We mixed everything together so every bites were colorful and tasty. If you want friendly + quick service, try this place. If you are tired of fried + unhealthy food, try this place. We will be back for more.

Yelp
Delicious food with friendly service. Lots of healthy options. One of my favorite locations.

Yelp
When I am craving fresh yet satisfying foods, Sunflower Cafe always hits the spot. I often bring friends here - vegetarian and non-vegetarian- and it's always a hit. The sunflower rice, which is in many of the bowls, it delicious. The BBQ Tempeh is amazing, with a slight kick and sweetness, balanced out by the savory tempeh. The portobello mushroom bowl always satisfies as well. A la carte side items are delicious, especially the collards, chick-pea chick'n salad and sweet potatoes. During happy hour try their mushroom spinach quesadilla with vegan smoked gouda as an appetizer or to go with some side dishes. I'm also updating my review to add that Sunflow has become a kid favorite. The kids meals are an amazing value and good portion, with the bonus of teaching my kids healthy eating habits. Finally, it's worth noting that before, during and post-pandemic the staff has always been friendly and helpful. I appreciate the positive energy and fresh foods!

Yelp
Sooooooo good. Mouthgasmic. Loved the BBQ taco and BBQ wrap the best. Loved the local vibe. Staff was super nice. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
This was kind of a cafeteria-style setup, with indoor and outdoor seating. That isn't my favorite thing; I much prefer my food freshly cooked, but the thing here is that my salad bowl was priced as if I was getting full service at a nice sit-down restaurant. Having said that, it was quite conveniently near the highway and fast, and any vegetarian/vegan/etc. will know how uncommon it is to find such a place in most of the country. My salad delivered a nice flavor mix, but I was more intrigued by their dessert selection, which included an impressive-looking chocolate mousse. Given that it's all vegan, I would guess it's avocado-based? Whatever it was, it was a dark, bittersweet chocolate, that tasted just as good as the ordinary non-vegan mousse. Anyway, you can eat healthy here or indulge a bit, but the overall experience, while good, was not up there with some of the other vegan Nashville restaurants I've tried.

Julie N.

Yelp
I enjoyed this hidden gem of a vegan and gluten-free cafe and was absolutely blown away by the extraordinary flavors and variety they offer. The nachos were loaded with flavor, the tahini ginger bowl was a delightful surprise, and the BBQ sandwich was incredibly satisfying. And let's not forget the delicious sides that complemented every bite perfectly. Their hot comfort food is just what you need. But the real showstopper was the chocolate chip cookie dough - an absolute must-try! I left feeling not only full but also inspired to incorporate more plant-based meals into my diet. Whether you're a dedicated vegan or just looking for incredible food, this place is a must-visit!

Yelp
super cute and yummy! cool workers and fast service. lots of parking and a cat outside . i recommend the southwest wrap!!

Vegan F.

Yelp
Sunflower Cafe is in what appears to be an old house. The setup is interesting with tables inside and out on those warm days. The selection of food is quite lengthy with delivery cafeteria style. They prepare your dish as you go down the line of items so you can see what the food looks like. Everything was quite tasty. We will certainly be back.
google avatar

Lola L.

Yelp
Yummy food! The atmosphere could definitely be greatly improved. Wouldn't eat inside and the sides seem a bit expensive... other than that the food was very fresh and tasty.

Sofi J.

Yelp
sunflower cafe was great! the food was good, the employees were friendly, and the restaurant was cute. so glad that nashville has this option for vegans and people who eat gf

Jimmy J.

Yelp
This place is great! So many tasty options. I tried the famous bbq nachos and my friend had the chick'n caesar wrap. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious. The service was fantastic and the prices were very affordable. Well done!

Yelp
Sunflower Cafe is a cute little lunch spot located in the Berry Hill area. We stopped here for a bite to eat after visiting Spa Haus around the corner. We ordered the Asian Chikn Salad, Southwest Wrap, Citrus Kale side salad and jalapeño cornbread to share. Everything we had was tasty. We really enjoyed the mandarin oranges and dressing on the Asian salad and the bean hummus in the wrap was great. There's seating inside and outside and you order at the counter - sort of like a cafeteria style set up. Nice vegan spot.

Yelp
Favorite vegan place! Has healthy options and the salads are amazing!! Service is fast since it's a cafe and it's usually chill enough to have a good conversation. Love it!

Yelp
This was a cute find, I love that it is vegan and vegetarian. The food was good and reasonably priced for what you get. My friend got the Tofu bowl and I got the buffalo bowl. The Hummus and Pita side was my favorite, we also got a Pa Thai salad but that was not worth the experience. It didn't hurt to try This was our first time going to Sunflower Cafe so it took us a minute to figure out what we wanted to eat. When we got to the food bar I felt very rushed when they were plating my food and they worker seemed annoyed when stuttered trying to answer her questions. My friend had a different worker plating his food and she was sweet to him giving him suggestions and recommendations, offering sides. She was the worker that also checked us out. Very friendly girl! I also really loved talking to the girl with the red hair and the cool flower tattoos on her legs.

Yelp
Food was creative and delicious. Service was top notch. Made me long for a restaurant of this type in my hometown. The setting was warm and welcoming, and the bathrooms were clean.

Yelp
I always lunch here when working in Nashville. The entire staff is a pleasure and the food IS food! Love Sunflower

Yelp
Staff was friendly, food was great. I had the roasted roots bowl and the soup of the day (kale and sweet potato) Glad I found this place!

Yelp
Listen Linda- One of the best vegan/vegetarian/gluten free meals I've ever had. Would eat here everyday, no exaggeration If you're into healthy goodness, this place has the flavors, textures and people down. The staff are friendly, fun and kind which is the best part. 10/10
google avatar

Shannon L.

Yelp
The staff is courteous and quick!!! My brother and I got the bbq burger. It was alright but the flimsy bun forces it to a fork experience. We got the chicken sandwich for my son. It was too spicy for him so my bro and helped him out. This was delicious and I would totally go back for it!!! Still a fork experience. I've been to several vegan restaurants and including this one, I'm still waiting to be wowed by "healthy soda." No one seems to have been able to crack this Rosetta Stone. Sorry the picture is part way through. I'm old and I don't always remember to take a photo of my food instead of just eating it.
google avatar

Luc R.

Yelp
I feel like the new menu (even though it looks delicious) was just a way to increase prices. Sides used to be $2.99. Now they are $4.25. I know... inflation, but that's 40% price hike. My favorite was the curried chickpea salad for $6.99, which is now off the menu. That salad was enough to be lunch. Now, lunch here is a bowl that is $12 or more + tax. I've been here hundreds of times (maybe 50 times per year). But at these prices, it will unfortunately now be a couple times a year visit for me now.
google avatar

Kendall R.

Yelp
Super great food and flavor! As a vegetarian & Gluten Free person this place was full of options and flavor. So excited about this place.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
My friends have been raving about how good this place is and it's close to my work so I finally went today. I'm so mad I haven't been here until today. I got the famous bbq wrap which was insanely good. The sauce is tangy and the bbq is juicy. Just enough balance between greens, sauce, and bbq. I tried my friend's root bowl and it was so hearty and perfect. They have a large menu. Everything is vegan! I've heard the cookie dough is amazing so I'm going to come back just to try that. Staff were masked and friendly. For beverages they have Pellegrino, CBD infused bottled bevs, canned coffee, and agave based sodas.

Yelp
This Casual cafe is a cute place tucked back in berry hill. It's a pick what you like type approach to order when you walk in. Then grab a table to chill and enjoy your meal. Definitely enjoyed my BBQ veggie burger ... was just a little sloppy but tasted great. My sides were okay and just okay. The Brussels where a little over cooked and like them to have a little bite to them. Overall great visit and would recommend to my vegetarian friends!

Yelp
Covid review: This is one of the most friendly family dining spots in Nashville for down home southern food with vegan flair. Bring your carnivore friends and put it to the test. They won't be missing anything and they will leave satisfied. The best thing about Sunflower is the entree selection. Vegan lasagna, curry bowls, veggie burgers and mashed sweet potatoes. You can make a meal of sides alone. My favorite is the steamed kale, the jalapeño burger in a spinach wrap, with a no bake chocolate cookie and a kombucha. It costs a pretty penny to eat this high quality food, but the atmosphere is worth it. Friendly, quant and charming with a true berry hill vibe. All of the servers are friendly and you don't have to wait long for how popular this place is. For the pandemic the samples have stopped and the condiments aren't out on the table anymore. But you can still request a small position to be added to your tray. Get those healthy probiotics flowing with the Pu-aire...it tastes like root beer and it's the only place I've seen it sold i

Yelp
Been in Nashville about 2.5 years and tonight was my first time at Sunflower. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan but I love vegetarian and vegan food! Adorable location in Berry Hill, nice easy parking lot. Ordered the bistro arugula veggie burger and it was amazing. I love a good veggie burger. This had fresh arugula, lemon vinaigrette, onion, tomato, avocado. Flavors were wonderful, but the burger fell apart very easily. I know it's a veggie burger so more prone to do so.... but I've eaten many veggie burgers over the years and this one was a little "loose" for my liking. Staff was kind and quick, getting through the dinner crowd with ease and a smile (and a mask!).

Alice M.

Yelp
I'm sorry... I didn't like it. Everyone says this place is great, and I disagree. Had the worst experience waited along time for not so great food and dry cupcakes with overly sweet cupcakes. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Arnie B.

Yelp
Really was hoping for some good food, just landed from LA. The chic pea kale salad was bland and the kale had way way too much dressing. The Bon Mih wrap was OK but nothing special. The Brussels sprouts were also fairly boring. On the positive side, people were nice and menu was creative. Just not for me I guess.
google avatar

Yelp
As a disclaimer, I am not fully vegan, but I do enjoy eating plant-based meals. I've been wanting to try Sunflower for a while, and finally got around to it today. I ordered the jalapeño burger (and was given the traditional one, but that's okay), a side of potatoes (the vegetable of the day), and a side of the curried chickpea salad. Other things I tasted at the table were a banh mi wrap with sauteed portabello mushrooms in place of a burger, the chipotle hummus and pita, and the caramelized apples. My burger was quite tasty. The texture of the burger was intriguing, and wasn't made of beans; it was made of some sort of wild rice blend mixture. The flavors were all pretty good, and adding some hot sauce as I ate it made it perfect for me. The potatoes were pretty good, too, and were properly cooked. I enjoyed the chipotle hummus, and the pita that was served with it was warm and toasty. The caramelized apples were interesting and different than anything I've tasted. The only thing I didn't particularly like was the curried chickpea salad. I'm sure they make new batches every day and it probably always tastes a little different, but it was missing something for me. It needed acid, salt, and a bit more flavor. The portions were great, and the prices were reasonable! Overall, I enjoyed this place. The hallmark of good vegan food is that you don't miss the meat when eating it...and at Sunflower, I definitely didn't miss the meat!
google avatar

Yelp
This makes me sad not to be able to give a VEGAN and VEGETARIAN place five stars, but I just couldn't. Don't get me wrong; the staff is kind, warm, and friendly. It comes down to the food. While the ingredients are good and healthy, the execution is a little sloppy and tasteless. I wanted to love this place, but it was a pass for me.
google avatar

Charity C.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! We came here on a weeknight an hour before close and received the best service! The prices were reasonable compared to the massive food portions. The burger and sandwiches are full of flavor too! I got the Traditional Sunflower Style burger and my friend got the BBQ sandwich and they were both really good! The only item that wasn't amazing was the curried chickpea salad. I felt like it lacked flavor and was pretty bland, but it still wasn't terrible. The Cookie dough desert was sweet and didn't taste vegan at all. Lastly, the raspberry and blueberry kombucha tea was good if you're used to the taste, otherwise it may a bit acidic for some. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I'm so glad my friend recommended this place, and I'm looking forward to slowly trying everything on the menu.

Yelp
Was very pleasantly surprised by this delicious vegan restaurant. Food was excellent, but the staff makes the place even better. I told the very nice young man that it was my first time there and he let me know to ask anything and he would help, and he actually meant it. I had the bahn mi burger, in a wrap form with their oh so delicious portabella substituted for the veggie patty. It was excellent. I will be back within the next week for my fix. As a matter of fact, I bought one to go to bring to hubby for lunch. I would give them a five star but I felt the curried garbanzos and a couple other sides needed a little salt and acid, but maybe that is just my palate. I recommend you try this place for a healthy and very enjoyable vegan, (many dishes are) gluten free, and oil free. Amazing flavors with those restrictions. My ultimate compliment? I didn't miss meat, gluten nor oil.

Yelp
A great place to pick up a healthy delicious bite to eat, especially if you're vegan or vegetarian. The screened porch is a wonderful place to hang out. I love Sunflower Cafe?

Yelp
I am not a vegan. I'll never be a vegan. I like meat and cheese. But I don't mind vegan foods. We went here with my mother in law, who is vegan. This place has a ton of options. Burgers, wraps, salads/bowls, vegan BBQ, and sides. I had the vegan jalapeño burger with sun dried tomato spread and garlic aioli with veggies. For sides I had roasted potatoes and broccoli salad. My husband had a vegan lasagna, which isn't cheese or meat lasagna, but it was still very palatable and well seasoned. My mother in law had a bean and rice wrap she really enjoyed. They had chocolate mousse for desert. I thought it was a little bitter (and I actually prefer real cacao over anything else), but consistency was good. They also had gluten free options, oil-free options. Salads included Greek and southwest options as well as tempeh and chickpea salads. Sides include the ones I mentioned, as well as greens, potato salad, beans, soup, hummus, kale, and more. They have a fantastic agave soda fountain too! So tasty! It was about 80 dollars for three of us with tip, so not super cheap, but I didn't think it was a bad value. They took social distancing and masks seriously and had a ton of outdoor seating. Recommended for light vegan and gluten free fare.

Yelp
The Thai Ginger Bowl had fantastic flavor. However, this missed out on 5 stars as the tofu was slightly mushy. It would've been better with firmer tofu but this was fantastic nonetheless. Sunflower Cafe also has lots of options for any Vegan's needs!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been sleeping on this spot, how is this the first time I've been here? Grabbed takeout while I was in the area looking for a healthier dinner. I'm not a strict vegetarian, but I'm not a big meat eater at all. There were so many delicious options that I had trouble picking. Settled on the rice and bean wrap and a side of broccoli salad. The wrap was HUGE and that is not a complaint. I ended up adding hot sauce at home just to spice it up a level but it was delicious. I devoured it and would do it again tomorrow. The broccoli salad was also good, but I was so full from the wrap that I need to save most of it for tomorrow. I can't wait to try more!

Yelp
We were pretty happy with our recent lunch at Sunflower. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and good, the service was friendly, and the prices were totally fair. I had the Vegan BBQ Bowl w/ kale and quinoa. I'm not 100% sure what the vegan protein in this particular dish is comprised of up but it's delicious, a bit spicy, and goes great with everything else in the bowl. I wish there had been just a tad bit more of it as it was long gone by the time I forked my last bite of quinoa but it's a fair amount TBH. The quinoa had perfect texture, the vegetables were all fresh and tasty. I added some fresh avocado and had to try a bowl of the seasoned potatoes (which tasted like they'd just been harvested, and that's a good thing). My wife had the buffalo tempeh wrap and enjoyed it. The desserts looked intriguing but we passed on them this time. The service style is like a Subway or Chipotle, with a cafeteria style line and tray. A nice place for a healthy, quick lunch.

Yelp
Brunch with my hunny... sooo good. Sunflower is always a good choice. The omelet bake flavor wise would make any omelet eater happy, the only thing was it needed more sauce it was a little dry for my preference but we would both get it again. The chickpea "chicken" salad sandwich would be a great choice for anyone for lunch. My only thing is it does not taste like chicken salad it tastes exactly like EGG SALAD! I think they gave it the wrong name but the taste is delightful. We also chose to get a peppermint cupcake and shared it between us. It tasted lightly of mint so I feel like everyone could enjoy it. Though it's huge so it's definitely a treat for sharing.

Yelp
I have to be gluten free so I love visiting Nashville and I always stop by this bakery. You absolutely have to have one or more of their lavender cupcakes. They are amazing. The staff has always been super helpful and give great tips on what to try if you have questions. The only negative can be the wait time if you order food. I ordered one small thing to go and waited almost 25 minutes to get it. They were very apologetic and I know staffing can be an issue all small businesses deal with, so be aware so you come in with patience and grace.

Yelp
Sunflower Cafe is cool little spot in a great part of town. I stopped in for happy hour before heading to the airport, which allowed me to get a decent sample of some different menu items. The hummus plate was a solid choice, and the pita was delicious and warm. I found myself wishing we had gotten more veggies, though, because there's just no way we could eat all the hummus we got unless we just scooped it up. The nachos were really good. I loved whatever chips they used and the queso, which I assume was cashew. The only thing I'll say is that as with most nachos, it was impossible to get to the chips in the center and the chips just got soggy and inedible. In hindsight, I would have gone for the double dip since it still had the queso and black bean corn salsa. I was unimpressed with the quesadilla. The buffalo tempeh was a little weird texture for the quesadilla...yes, all tempeh is weird texture, but I usually like it and just didn't feel it worked inside the quesadilla. The carrots and such were fine to, but I honestly couldn't even tell there was cheese in it, which was a bummer. the chocolate chip cookie dough was great! The texture was slightly grainy and not as "solid" as I like to see from a typical cookie dough, but I wouldn't say I minded it. It definitely hit the spot for some sweetness after the rest of the meal.
